The 'rules'

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Very impressed Josie!

With a bit of 'don't you like me naked' guilt-tripping the towel eventually worked Grin.

Have now come into my old office (last official day of work for me and 4 others, though the builders are in so nobody's here but me, the creepy computer guy, and a builder I heard say to his mate 'you would, wouldn't you' as I walked up the stairs). Just saving all my files to a disk and stealing stationery and then I'll be back home again. I am SO with you on the working-from-home front brassica - I've been doing it all summer and I reckon it's pregnancy-related googles (a billion) to work-related googles (one), at least on average. Going to my new office tomorrow, but this one is all my own and has a door that locks, so I can mumsnet all day long Biscuit

Come on ovulation! Where the feck are you?!

JosieSmith1 · 31/08/2010 16:12

Ha ha, well done Takethat! Grin

I might try that too, in the spirit of making things more fun. I'll show DH how much fun planned sex can be Blush

30andMerkin · 31/08/2010 18:01

See I think my DH squirrels the information away.. he pretends he doesn't know, but he does, really.

Ironic given I can ask him to buy milk 32 times and he'll forget every single one, but I mention one tiny bit of information about my cycle, and he suddenly perks up with 'This would be a good time, wouldn't it?' all innoocent! Grin

cowboylover · 31/08/2010 18:12

Yes my DH remembers things I didnt think he would.

Hes totally the same as not wanting tit to be forced and do it when hes told then must have been snooping and came back and said that "is it correct most women ovulate 2 weeks after there period and do you?" I nearly feel on the floor so he knows now when its time!

My come back is that I dont want to just because its that time but ovulating hormones must make me super horny! Grin

vallinnapod · 31/08/2010 18:37

Hey viroids,

This is my forth attempt to post so please forgive me. My iPhone ate two this weekend and then my work computer ate the third.

Would you all forgive me if I send sympathies, giggles and kippers where appropriate. I have been reading all the posts as believe it or not you ladies make me feel sane (not sure what that says about y'all! Grin) but typing out all the comments I struggled to humorously compose that had sprung to mind is going to take forever!

First appointment at new fertility clinic today...they were 50 mins late seeing me...and I had to go back as the pharmacist said the doctor had prescribed the wrong amount of one of the drugs...why me?

So I am going in on Thursday for a HyCoSy. I have also been presecribed Norethisterone to start a period and then Letrozole as the Clomid was doing nothing for me.

We shall see. A bit Biscuit about it all really. And the money is now getting Shock

Sad
milanomum · 31/08/2010 20:18

:( Vallina I really, really hope you get a period asap (never thought I'd say that on here) just so you can at least have a starting point. It must be so frustrating,I think you deal with it fantastically, if that counts for anything :(

takingtheplunge · 31/08/2010 20:44

DH has been out at work since 6am and has just got back now and looks half dead with tiredness so no shagging for me. it'll be like this all week (the week I must be ovulating) so don't think this is going to be my month. Hmm sigh.

Been trying to keep up, reading posts..but been a bit busy. Hope all are well and really hope you get a period soon vanilla, must be doing your head in!

DS has his firs settling in day at nursery tomorrow...he's getting all grown up...sob!

BrassicaBabe · 31/08/2010 21:36

I think all we need an un-MN ((((group hug))))

I'm with you on the DH working lark taking. Mine has been out since 630 and is still out now. It's generally a busy time, plus there is staff sickness around. Add it all together and he's shagged before he gets home. And not is a good way! WinkSad

Wow vallinna that's a totally different course of action to the last useless bunch clinic. I hope this set of drugs manages a "reboot fix" for you. Are you keeping sane, or do you have a mental equivalent to "wine in a mug"?

Oops, he's coming back in. Got to go. Post later
x

NervousNelly · 31/08/2010 21:38

Evenin' all :)

I really can't keep up with you lot sometime! But it makes me chuckle for sure!

Vallinna, so sorry to hear about the ongoing useless clinics frustrations. I hope you get some ERTD action soon.

I'm not sure my OH has cottoned on to such thing as cycles Confused. I certainly have no intention of telling him! He knows I'm "broken" for a few days once a month and that's about it. And it has to be said, it's rare for him to turn down a shag on a plate Wink. Plus we were just chatting about how much we are looking forward to our holiday and I planted the seed (no pun intended) about all the hotel sex we're going to have Grin. So now he'll be thinking about it for the next week and a half. Shagcape and porn-porn slippers are all packed!!!

SleepyCaz · 01/09/2010 09:07

Hello ladies/viroids :)

Hope everyone is well. Fingers crossed for us all this coming month. Have not been on much as DD has been ill and have been trying to stack up the overtime to pay for a holiday and a big surprise for DH's birthday in Oct.

Am on CD14 here and have to work 7pm-8am later!! For God's sake!! :(

We got a few JS's in on Monday and Sunday though, and MIGHT get one on before work.

Good luck to us all.

Am bit hungover this am too. Had few wines to relax me after a mad day with the in laws and DC's! Grin

JosieSmith1 · 01/09/2010 10:36

Cowboylover I?m glad you said that as I get really horny round about that time too! I wondered if it was the hormones or that I knew it was the right time and convinced myself I felt more horny! Grin

Sorry things aren?t going to plan Vallinna, hopefully it?ll all be sorted soon and you?ll be on the right track.

Well, I did the most unimaginably cruel thing to DH last night! After complaining that we have to JS this week and convincing him that he had to no matter what, he was all up for it and ready (read lying naked on bed Blush) but as we?d just got in, it was 8pm and I?d had no tea and was hungry, I told him he?d have to wait until we?d had tea, and then we could have an early night so we could just go to sleep after! Needless to say he, ahem, ?deflated? pretty quick Grin Blush. Anyway, I donned the shag cape in the end and it was gooooood (TMI Blush). We were lying in bed afterwards and I just said to DH ?same time tomorrow?, which made us both laugh, but he agreed, and not at all reluctantly. We laughed loads this time so I made good on my promise that it?d be fun!

BrassicaBabe · 01/09/2010 11:35

I'm worried that I'm stressing my DH out. Prior to this lark, we never talked about periods and cycles and stuff. The only thing he knew was that JS was out for a few days. We could shag when and if we fancied!

Now he knows when my period has arrived, that I get miserable for a few days before it arrives, how long my period is (fecking xray assistant actually asked him over the phone when booking my appointment and he could answer!).

I mention blood tests, book his "jiz in a cup" appointment, worry about having xray juice squirted into fanjo and text him to tell him when the window is.

I'd like not to mention anything and keep it to myself. But I'd explode! I need to "share" to let the mentalness out! Two people in RL know. One listens as much as she can and the other just doesn't understand because she has no kids and has never wanted them (same as me until I met DH)

We've only been married 3 months for heavens sake!

baby2b · 01/09/2010 11:52

Morning ladies,

we are a complicated group of just shaggers aren't we? I think we all (OHs included) have it drilled into us to be careful as kissing or being in a hot tub together can lead to pregnancy. None of us are mentally prepared for it to take time or to end up with all the medical stuff. Brassica you are right to talk about it as it is a team effort.

I think we are all doing well. I try to keep my insanity on mumsnet and go for carefree jsing in rl. :)

takethatlady · 01/09/2010 11:53

I'm the same, brassica. He knows all the biology I know, and we bought Robert Winston's The Human Body when I was/thought I was pregnant and watched it last week. His jaw was pretty much hitting the ground but he knows all the gory details. He gets minute-by-minute accounts sometimes. He doesn't seem bothered by it.

Am on my first official day in my new job today so have spent the morning sorting out parking permits, joining the campus gym, handing in my old P45, putting up posters in my office, and sending out my new email to everybody. Coming perilously close to having to actually do some work now ... MN seemed the only sensible option.

Also I'm having to hide as my eyes are all puffy because DH made me cry for about three hours last night. He's never really done that before (been together nearly 12 years) and he even said, 'I can't believe it's me that's in the wrong this time'! That was meant to make me feel better, I think Hmm. Anyway, he was acting like a complete idiot and he knew it but he couldn't stop himself - all he could do was freak both me and him out endlessly for hours. Things seem to be back to normal now. Perhaps it was end-of-holiday weirdiness. Needless to say, the shag cape was left languishing ...

I'm so sorry for your fucking body vallinna but it really does sound like there's a proper course of action for you know. I'm sure as soon as they find the right jump leads you'll be pregnant in no time.

baby2b · 01/09/2010 11:58

Aww, takethat that sounds horrid. I tend to find it is always the DH that is in the wrong :) Hope the rest of your first day at new job goes well though!

Btw, while I remember...has anyone seen any posts from the thread starter? Her last post on the graduates thread looks a bit worrying.

BrassicaBabe · 01/09/2010 12:22

Sorry takethat for your puffy eyes and miserable evening. Cue oversized sun-glasses and an air of mystery for your first day?! Grin Glad things are back on track. Good luck with the job!

I have to say I find that Prof Winston chap a bit weird (alledgely and just IMO of course Wink)

I hope the drugs cocktail is working for you vallinna WTF is HyCoSy? Do shed light!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 01/09/2010 12:34

G'day all. Soo much to make appropriate noises to and am just to tired (in a good symptom spotting way Smile, if I were doing that Grin).
Fingers crossed at your jump start Valli
B2B didn't OP mention she was of to France for 5 weeks? It is a worry isn't it? I meant to ask yesterday, how are you these days?

My killjoy delightful DH told me last night, that in no uncertain terms am I to POAS with out him, not even bodycare cheapies. And that I have to keep our one remaining Rolls Royce CB digi pee free until at least a week after AF is due, because last month that when I finally showed +. That gives me a window of about 2 days to POAS before my parents come to stay.

May have to get me an illicet supply of pee sticks!

BrassicaBabe · 01/09/2010 12:52

You don't need to make "appropriate noises" here nomore Smile

Does DH realise what he's asked of you?! That's a huge request! Grin I don't think I could keep that promise. I think you need a little internet delivery for subterfuge a little POAS action!!

baby2b · 01/09/2010 12:54

I'm good nomore, just coming up to ovulation time and the 2ww... starting to get nervous/ excited/ impatient! The plan for the next few weeks is to stay level headed and not poas early - AF isn't due until 15th Sept! I am jsing afterall Grin

I am keeping my obsession under control with OPKs at the moment. When is your AF due?

baby2b · 01/09/2010 12:57

BTW... very hungover today...was thinking it could be last time I am drunk and the rose wine was amazing. DH was grumpy I came home late, (TMI alert) but performed selfless act, to keep the jsing spirit alive.

baby2b · 01/09/2010 12:58

DIET 0 ALCOHOL 1. Hopefully I will win the battle today Grin

BrassicaBabe · 01/09/2010 13:13

Diet v alcohol can co-exist as long as food isn't a priority! Grin

baby2b · 01/09/2010 13:26

Grin I like your thinking!

vallinnapod · 01/09/2010 13:54

Brassica - a HyCoSy is the dye up your fanjo test. What fun tomorrow holds....

Started the Nore-whats-it today for a period. Which means I should get my period when I am on holiday next week (surely that GUARANTEES it?!) I can then start the letrozole. Phew. On holds with DM (mother!) rather than DH so no windows or JSing missed Wink

God lord, what will I do without you viroids for A WEEK!!

takethatlady · 01/09/2010 14:00

vallinna I hope you get your period on your holiday. You know I mean it in the best of all possible ways :)

nomore have you got a good fake Shock face? If so, I say pee away and then pretend to your DH you never did!

My DH was so in the wrong I'm almost pleased Wink. He's being very sweet now in the hope of making it up to me. Not sure how long I should milk it for Grin

Just realised my new office looks straight out over the Union Pub. Feeling thirsty ...
