{{{{ Hippy }}} You haven't failed until you've stopped trying... you're now allowed to give up hope till CD1 anyway....

SassySusan · 07/09/2010 20:50

Jollster I'm prepared to fight to the death for his honour... his writing is like pure porn... he even makes washing up sound sensuous... and he grows vegetables...

hippychick66 · 07/09/2010 20:54

jolly I hope I can give you good reason to use the pompoms very soon.

Have decided that when we meet to push our babies along the promenade in their prams I will defo not be abe to bring my DH and come back to yours for coffee. My Dh is allergic to cats and I feel sure that your 5 would finish him off!! He has chronic asthma - hence the hopeful move to the coast and if he goes to a house with 1 cat he lasts about 5 minutes before he starts gasping for air - poor love. Still it means I can say a definite No when the kids ask for a fluffy pet. We did discuss a snake or a gheko recently though Shock

mslucy when are you getting a scan to confirm this preg?? Good luck.

hippychick66 · 07/09/2010 20:59

sassy I thought the SME method was that you didn't start until you got a pos on an OPK. Have you had a pos yet. If not - I say put your feet up love and forget it Wink

Thanks for your support lovie. I have a horrid feeling tomorrow is gonna be day 1 of my next cycle. If it is can i mope about around here in the snug, eat crisps and drinking pimms.... please sas say I can!!!

randomimposter · 07/09/2010 21:05

ooooo, love Pimms...
sassy I hear what you say, but I repeat... he's called Nigel...

OP posts:
Diege · 07/09/2010 21:18

Yes NIGEL Sassy!!!! I think the snug has spoken Grin
Jollster didn't know that about fridges and choc - you mean it would taste even better if non-refridgerated??Shock.And what's this about G&B caramel flavour?? Never seen that one! (my fave is their white choc).
Hippy what can I say - I can sense how pissed off you must feel, but let's not make any judgement until/if af turns up. If it does, then you are first in the queue to raid the new fridge xx

Off to watch White Noise 2 dvd (v. unsettling horror).I get them from Love Film and feel under pressure constantly to watch em and get them back so more can be sent out Hmm

randomimposter · 07/09/2010 21:27

No to Nigel.
Yes to G&B Butterscotch.

Yes to Simon Cowell (as a chum)
Yes to George Clooney (as.... whatever he darned well fancied).

Yes to more OysBaySauvBlan.... hic

Beattiebow · 07/09/2010 21:39

oh Hippy, I hope you're wrong and are soon walking down the beach front with Jolls with your bugaboos. as for me I wont ever be joining you if we carry on like this...

we were interrupted dtd Yet Again!! by sainsbury's man this time. (although he didn't look round bedroom door thankfully).

Which bit of coast are you campaigning to move to?

sassy day 8 is very early to start the smep isn't it?

anyone watching Big Brother? I am hooked!

Beattiebow · 07/09/2010 21:41

and yes to both George Clooney and Simon Cowell, not as chums. or at the same time.

not Nigel s though.

(I had a very graphic dream about Simon C once. I was shocked, i didn't know I felt that way about him tbh. Couldn't watch x factor for a while.).

muchlove · 07/09/2010 21:44

Evening All

Just to add HALEPENO TORTILLA CHIPS from M&S are my fave (with a guacamole dip)

Sorry you think she's on her way HIPPY and IF she does come then absolutely get in theSNUG with me and I promise I will try and make you laugh to cheer you up (yeah I'm still in here staring at the walls). But your right our bodies do throw a curve ball at us sometimes and trick us (damn it!)

SAS You don't start the (chores) until the 1st positive on ya OPK so no worries yet....but that's why I use the cheapies then the CB digital as I feel they are spot on and you don't have any guess work (with the ICs strips you have to collect urine then leave it to stand for 20mins then dip) Confused also don't forget the positive result only detects your LH surge it can still be up to 2 days until actual OV occurs so that's why the plan is 3days in a row to cover all bases

Which brings me nicely to the fact that I'm still waiting for my surge (typical it's gonna be late!!) my hubby is away (abroad) friday AM till sunday PM and I gotta feeling Im not gonna OV until friday/saturday so I'm trying to contain myself but I feel like screaming FOR F*^KSAKE !!!!
This is like a game of Snakes and Ladders I just get going then I'm back to the beginning again soooooo frustrating ggrrhhh

Anyone know where I can buy a turkey baster ?????????

Beattiebow · 07/09/2010 21:48

I wondered about that muchlove - is it really important to let it get to room temp before testing? that may explain why I never get a positive. I never wait.

randomimposter · 07/09/2010 21:49

BB - how did you know I had a Bugaboo...?

As an aside, after sad (obviously rather premature) past googling of P&T etc have an irrational snarl at all double buggies at the moment... there is now no way I will ever need a double buggy unless I have twins Hmm[yeah right]

Am also dipping into BB.... will preston and chantelle reunite (d, cos it feels so good....)?

OP posts:
Beattiebow · 07/09/2010 21:54

Jolls I also noted that I won't need a double buggy Sad

Yes, woud love Chantelle and Preston to get back together! I'm very sad.

re bugaboo I am stalking you. (I have one too!).

randomimposter · 07/09/2010 22:06

mine's red and black... chosen thinking "classic", realise now just "dull"... Grin

OP posts:
SassySusan · 07/09/2010 22:09

Well this is what I was going on...

Short Version:

"Try" every other night starting Day 8
Buy 10 ovulation predictor kit sticks
Begin ovulation testing on Day 10
When test is positive, "try" that night, plus two additional nights in a row
Skip one night, then do one last "try"
Take a home pregnancy test 15 days after your ovulation test was positive, if your period has not begun
If your ovulation test never goes positive, continue "trying" every other night until Day 35, then do a pregnancy test if your period has not begun.
Statistics coming in from women who write me show that about 40% of post-miscarriage women will get pregnant on the first try if they are faithful to the plan, about double the number of the normal population who are not on the plan. This assumes, of course, that you waited for a normal cycle to begin after your loss, and did not begin trying before having a period after a miscarriage. Many women do not ovulate in that first cycle.

But if you lot say I don't have to....

SassySusan · 07/09/2010 22:10

And what's wrong with the name Nigel?

If I have a boy I'm gonna call him Nigel - s there!

randomimposter · 07/09/2010 22:10

fcuk me that sounds like a lot of sex...?

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 07/09/2010 22:15

I have great respect for Victor now. Didn't like him when he was on Big Bro before but this time I like him and he ate all that shite tonight to get the gang some alcohol. I actually really like Chantelle and I also hope she will get back with her ex. they are just so cute together.

Shall i get a doube buggy??? My 7 year old can be very lazy and if not him then DH would probably be glad of a push Wink

Beattie have you heard of a 'do not disturb' sign???????? The only person who ever interupts us is our 7 year old (sometimes I think he does it on purpose so he can be forever our baby).

My friend from work is due to give birth any day now and my youngest has said we can go and visit the baby and then no more new baby visits until we get one of our own - ahhh - God, I wish i had good news for him Sad.

I remember someone dreaming about Simon Cowell a while back - didn't realise we'd let you stay though - thought you'd been banned for life after a revelatin like that. Grin

I will say one name and fear I am repeating myself - Simon Baker from the Mentalist - yum yum.

Off to bed for an early night (not one of those early nights!!) I fear I will be sobbing into my feckin' pillow by morning.

Night night. xxx

hippychick66 · 07/09/2010 22:16

ps. Ok Sassy you start that sex routine and we'll all join in soon - honest Wink

SassySusan · 07/09/2010 22:21

Did I mention DH is 49?

muchlove · 07/09/2010 22:45

Yes BEATTIE it's better to let it stand for that time it gives better results ..... also best time to test is afternoon not morning.... all of this said with my hands over my eyes just in case I see something 'untoward' going on there Shock
How the hell did the Sainsburys man catch you were you doin it on the kitchen table ????? HILARIOUS !!!

By the way who is Nigel Slater I don't watch much telly as in this house of males there is always sport on......
I'm gonna google him while DH in the bath (dont want him getting jealous)..... I bet Nigel can go 4 days in a row with no fatigue...

muchlove · 07/09/2010 22:48

Oh Fck me he looks like Penfold out of Dangermouse Grin sorry SAS* maybe I just saw a bad shot of him.........

Beattiebow · 07/09/2010 22:51

he didn't actually walk in on us but rang the bell (and dd let him in) while we were busy!

still it spoiled the moment rather.

gumblossom · 08/09/2010 00:41

Blimey Beattie, are you doing too much afternoon delight?

Have very much enjoyed reading the thread this morning. I know you'll all be asleep by now. Wish I wasn't always late to catch up, but at least I can still be your friend, despite the huge distance.Technology is a marvelous thing.

Hippy, I'm thinking of you lovely - I hope it's a late, strong implanter, but if it isn't at least we can still have you hanging out with us, which I really like.(I know you'd be back to check on us anyway - it's your maternal instinct).

I've been a bit sad that Rowing left us, she was such an integral member, and now nothing...Of course I understand why, but I do miss her.

Well, I had no idea about leaving wee to sit for 20 mins with internet cheapies. I never have, and still manage to get a positive eventually. I know all the literature (aka the net) says to test later in the day, but for me, for some reason, I seem to get my best readings in the a.m. I think if this month's a bust I will splurge on a clearblue fertility monitor, because they are so easy to use. It is always first morning wee and it tells you when peak day is, so don't have to shag like rabbits like in the SMEP.

I'll have George Clooney when you lot have finished with him. He is YUMMY! But I don't fancy the other ones you mentioned. However, Eric Bana (Australian actor, check him herescreenrant.com/eric-bana-echelon-niall-67837/
Mmmmm!Loving those big brown eyes.

Well, my opk was almost positive last night, and I'm willing to bet it will be positive today. Looks like I'll have to start parading in the vest and shorts combo...but it is too cold here. Will harem pants and big sloppy sweater do???

Gotto run, be back tomorrow a.m for more news...

SassySusan · 08/09/2010 08:00

lmfao @ penfold

You've missed the point muchlove - it's a pure head fuck... I fell in love with his cooking... and his writing... now I'm prepared to give everything up and help him grow vegetables. I wonder what his motility and count is like Hmm

I am missing rowing too... she lives round the corner from me, I think.... and of course we have shared time with Dr Thong... oohhh errr... Maybe if we shout very loud (in Brigadoon type fasion) she will come back....

Gumblossom I got my OPKs yesterday, and it says it needs up to 30 minutes to develop... so popping to the loo at work to do this then!

Sure you look very fetching in a sloppy sweater... my approach is to say no at all other points during my cycle... works a treat - feel free to borrow it anytime Grin
