Morning Lanky
I didn't know about B6 - I am taking folic acid though, I guess everyone here does though?

The reflexology sounds fab - you don't live in Lee by any chance do you? It sounds like a place right by me

Beckenham is lovely. I lived in Brentwood for a while so whilst I am not strictly an Essex Girl I have a lot of friends there and won't hold it against you :P

Garden I too think you should wear those shoes to the stupid old quack!

waves to everyone

MrsWajs · 29/07/2010 09:50

Duh - I just realised it was garden who bought the dorothy shoes and not you Lanky - Oooopsy.

I'll rectify your name on the list!! hehe

gardenpixie · 29/07/2010 09:56

Morning everyone!

Huge thanks for being so understanding about my mean Dr. I was thinking last night that without being able to have a moan and a shoe shop with you all, I would have been pretty . But now I am just going to flounce in wearing glam sparkles and big hair.

Crazy Agnus Castus is a herbal supplement that can help regulate cycles and minimise PMS. You take it from CD1 until you ovulate. I used it earlier this year and it really helped me - I don't use it now but my cycles have been pretty regular since I took it.

Lanky interesting about the vitB6, I will buy some later when I skive off to shop this morning go on my lunch break.

womanly thanks for thoughts on clomid and mood swings. I wonder if I might give myself a couple more cycles of not using it to see what happens as I'm pretty keen to avoid making my natural moodiness worse! But I don't know if I'll be able to ignore it sitting in my bathroom cabinet ...

I found out about insulin resistance because I tried the GI diet and lost loads of weight pretty much immediately (from a size 16 to a size 12 in a few weeks). As there's diabetes in my family, I asked the Dr to check and they did a blood test to confirm it. I had always had trouble shifting weight no matter how much I dieted or exercised which I thought was a bit rum so it was good to know that there was a reason behind it!

Big waves to everyone hope your Thursdays are all off to a good start

crazybutterflylady · 29/07/2010 09:56

Could I ask a quick (TMI) symptom question please - is thrush a symptom? I am sure I have the beginnings of it...?

Yours crazily...

gardenpixie · 29/07/2010 09:57

MrsW no worries! The shoe buying was definitely a team effort!

Thanks for doing the list

gardenpixie · 29/07/2010 09:58

I think it can be ...

gardenpixie · 29/07/2010 09:58

sorry, that last one was to crazy

crazybutterflylady · 29/07/2010 10:17

Thanks garden. I very rarely have it - oh god I will probably have a phantom pg at this rate, I am overthinking it all so much!! It's so hard not to though...

LOVE the idea of big hair, glam sparkles and flouncing. Wear a push up bra too. That'll teach her.

Thanks for the Agnus info - my cycles are pretty regular so not sure I need it just yet. I have discovered that my soft & chewy vitamins (yes I am a brat!) include B6 so that's good

x

TigerseyeMum · 29/07/2010 10:57

I haven't posted any stats but I am on cycle 1.

When do you ovulate after your period finishes? Is it generally a few days? This is the first one for many a year so am having to roughly guestimate. I need a couple of cycles to pass by until I know more about where I am.

Am on the lookout for pant snot. I'm assuming that's a clue.

CaveMum · 29/07/2010 11:06

TigerseyeMum ovulation usually takes place around day 14ish of your cycle, with day 1 being the first day of your period.

Personally, if my temps are to be believed, I seem to ovulate around day 10 so it does vary from person to person.

Pant snot is probably the best indicator you can go by.

Thanks to everyone else for the advice/support I think I will look into the reflexology in the next few weeks to see if it will help.

TigerseyeMum · 29/07/2010 11:09

Thanks, my GP said day 14, that's next week. Might get busy over the weekend You never know.

crazybutterflylady · 29/07/2010 11:19

Good luck TigerseyeMum, happy shagging

Morning chatty ladies,

Happy Thursday to all of your workers and a special whoop whoop to MrsW for finishing nights! Yipeee

Love all the online shopping talk- I am an addict. I am in love with ASOS and also partial to a bit of Dorothy Perkins for their skirts and dresses. These two are my favourite because they deliver to Hong Kong- oh yeah! problem is, because delivery is a tenner I think I need to order to loads to make the cost of the delivery worthwhile he he! I get my packages delivered to school and un-wrap them and hide them in my bag and then smuggle them into my wardrobe when Mr.F is not looking. Then I play the 'what? this old thing?' card when he comments on my new things. See how bad I am? My current favourite justification is buying things with my credit card because it earns airmiles so that is an incentive for me to spend- I am a marketers dream!

Thanks for all of your sympathy on my wonky landing strip I shall let you know what Mr.F thinks/if he notices but I am not seeing him until Sat as he is at his parents now and I'm at min.

mrsW not sure why my sister was in a funk- other than being a horrid hormonal teenager she seems back to normal now- touch wood! Hope you're enjoying your day off and hope you can continue to keep yourself busy to distract from the symptom spotting.

lanky cats have improved their behaviour- one is sitting with me now as I type this and I am so needy and desperate for him to like me that I am starving but won't go and get anything to eat 'cos I don't want to disturb the cat- saddo! Reflexology sounds good- I think I will try when I am back in HK as they are so big on all of their alternative therapies and medicines their that I think I should make teh most of it and give it a try.

cave I def recommend a dose of Aries' mate It is perfect for you as it works best when you take it for your whole cycle and the recommendation is take for three whole cycles to notice any difference. Obviously it i snot recommended for you to take when you are pregnant so that's why people who are actively TTC should only take until ovulation and then stop but whilst you are waiting I definitely recommend taking it. I have been taking it since Feb and it has really sorted my cycles out (other than my recent time zone blip!)

Yes crazy I think thrush is a symptom.....

Sorry to here about ERTD's approach aries but glad you're pleased with your business changes : ) You must feel very satisfied!

Enjoy the show pinklady- that part of the world is gorgeous.

Hope today passes quickly for you cherry and that is another day closer to when you can test. I think perhaps you deserve a little shop just to distract yourself??

So, no news from me other than bad waxes of course. I purchased some bendy hair curlers from ebay (told you I'm a shopaholic!) and they arrived yesterday so spent an uncomfortable night sleeping in them last night to test them out before the wedding I'm going to on Sunday. They've worked well sot that was 6 quid well spent! Going to spend the rest of the day catching up on Eastenders and doing some work for school- I'll probably just be on here though so must try and limit my MN distraction time as I have to get this work done today!

crazybutterflylady · 29/07/2010 14:19

Hi FF

How long have you been in HK? I love it over there, have only been once though. I don't blame you for shopping, it's all I do all day - usually. But then I started TTC and decided I wouldn't buy any more stuff in case I got pg and nothing fitted. I gave all my cards to Mr Crazy. I am keen to see how long this amnesty will last

Have a good day and good luck with the work x

felicityFlick · 29/07/2010 14:44

That is so good of you crazy! You have my respect I can't wait to get cracking with all that baby shopping! Perfect excuse for you to get your cards back eh?! I've been in HK since last August on a two year teaching contract. We're really enjoying it but I still LOVE England more Am really enjoying being over here on my summer holidays at the min- will be going back to HK to work on 16th Aug.
Work is not going at the min... watched Tuesday's Eastenders on I-player and now watching Underage and Pregnant- anyone else seen it?

Hope you're all having a good day xx

crazybutterflylady · 29/07/2010 14:48

Well to be honest flick I have no more room for stuff, I am a total shopaholic and I must wear about 5% of the stuff I have because of stupid impulse purchases, so no more!!

What are you teaching? Sounds like the most amazing experience.

Your idea of work sounds like mine. I am just watching Katie & Alex . Might watch underage & pregnant next - would you recommend??

felicityFlick · 29/07/2010 15:15

Ha ha to our 'work'. Definitely recommend watching Underage and Pregnant- Just watched episode 2 and now going to watch episode 1. Maybe you could have a clear out and Ebay some of your unworn things?

CaveMum · 29/07/2010 15:20

For those of you online shopping addicts, I've recently discovered some fabulous sites for vintage style clothes - if you like that knid of thing.

Vivien of Holloway

Bettie Page

I love the 40s/50s style and would love to dress a la Mad Men in the office like this, but not sure I have the bottle!

The only thing stopping me from buying the whole-- lot some things is that I keep telling myself that it won't fit me in a few months if when I get pregnant!

crazybutterflylady · 29/07/2010 15:31

I have a study full of stuff waiting to be ebayed flick I just keep putting it off. I hate having to post stuff off - lazy ol me

CaveMum I LOVE VoH, her dresses are amazing. I bought this dress a few years ago which is quite similar to her stuff, but with a cool african vibe and I love it but, same as you, I get embarrassed when I wear it beacuse it's so flouncy and LOUD

Maybe I should wear it while I can though - yes I think I'll wear it for lunch on Sunday

x

crazybutterflylady · 29/07/2010 15:33

I love that pencil dress - I say get it! It's gorgeous and much more subtle than the big ones!

gardenpixie · 29/07/2010 15:37

Oh cave that rocks!

I wish I could get my hair like that too!

Hope everyone's having a good afternoon

felicityFlick · 29/07/2010 15:45

GIRLS! what are you doing to me?! I love all of those things on all of the sites- aghhh! This is my fave find so far Gorge dress

crazybutterflylady · 29/07/2010 15:51

Flick I have seen those in the shop - they are gorgeous! The skirt is the same shape as my dress and I feel really girly in it

I think I need to take the puffy sleeves off mine because they make me feel like Alice in Wonderland haha!!!

gardenpixie · 29/07/2010 15:54

Sooooo beautiful [slightly crazed voice] ... I want it, I want it!

crazybutterflylady · 29/07/2010 15:59

garden think how lovely with your shoes...
