Ooh has there been shopping?! Who purchased what?! MrsWajs you can treat yourself to 1 teeny tiny sale item surely!

Flick lol at your landing strip incident. I had the same last month! Hollywoods are brave garden! Flick don't feel about your friend - its so normal to feel that way - but you are right I see pregnant women in the street and feel but I have no idea how long it has taken for them to get pregnant or what problems they have.

Cave and Crazy Cambridge sounds lovely - infact I spent some time there when I was working on a project - I also spent 18 months in Norwich on a project so know East Anglia quite well! I am so sick of London - sick of it and can not wait to go somewhere more leafy and chilled out. Its a crappy rat race and you always feel on edge. I am actually from shhhh Essex. NO Essex Girl jokes please!!!

Phew - afternoon shagathon accomplished! Ahem.

How is everyone else?

I feel very naughty at skiving off work so early.... but hey ho! I work on my own and no one checks up on me so thought what the heck for once! It was worth it

Ariesgirl · 28/07/2010 18:49

Hello everyone. Just dashing in after the busiest period of my life! I am extremely exhausted but quite satisfied. Have made immense business changes. Anyway, in other news, ERTD should arrive....oooh....in about 24 hours. Bitch.

Pixie you should have poked the silly doctor in the eye. What a cow! Is that supposed to be funny? Regardless of whether she was being lighthearted or not. I have a question about Clomid - do they prescribe it for very specific conditions? Is it for women with PCOS? Does anyone know how likely it is that you have PCOS if you have pretty regular ERTDs and are thin? Or does that sound impossible? And also does anyone have endo - why would you suspect if you have that? And lastly, should I ask a doctor these questions instead of cyber-pals ?

Big waves and helloooos to everyone else and im off shopping now but have had my tea so wont buy crap like chocolate and biscuits and cake, well mayb one of each

gardenpixie · 28/07/2010 19:06

Hi Aries clomid can be prescribed for anything where a woman isn't ovulating unless it's because of premature ovarian failure. The mean Dr thinks I have PCOS but it's really hard to diagnose sometimes and it takes different forms - in some of them women don't ovulate at all, and in some they ovulate irregularly. But even if a woman ovulates irregularly she can still have regular periods - not sure how that works but that's what the dr said.

I was a bit because normally they use LH and FSH levels to diagnose it but mine are fine so she is basing my diagnosis on elevated testosterone and AMH levels. She said that she thinks I probably am ovulating relatively normally but that clomid might just make things a bit easier.

Weight can be a factor because it is linked to insulin resistence which does predispose you to PCOS but I am a size ten twelve and exercise loads but still have a bit of insulin resistence. Also I don't have any of the hirsuitism which can be a symptom too. ESPECIALLY not after a Hollywood!

I had to go private even to get diagnostic tests because the NHS GP said I didn't look like a typical PCOS person .

Hope that helps?

Lanky I shopped, I shopped! I got the red sparkly high heels to wear to next dr appt to prove I am in fact NOT A MAN!

gardenpixie · 28/07/2010 19:08

pinklady yay chocolate and cake!!!

CaveMum · 28/07/2010 20:32

Evening again all!

pinklady MrC wants to know more about the Rio so I shall give you a buzz to see if we can pop over to yours over the wknd. Save me some cake!

pixie you go girl! Get yourself all glammed up and show the silly dr what's what.

Aries glad your busy time is over. Get some well earned rest and stock up on choc and wine for ERTDs arrival.

to Lanky Flick and MrsW.

Hi to everyone else

alien06 · 28/07/2010 20:44

haha FLick loving the waxing story! I went for mine today too, still a little tender so no BD for moi tonight serves me right for going for the whole package lol

Welcome to all the newbies :0)

alien06 · 28/07/2010 20:47

hey LankyLegs
I was born in Essex lived in Kent and now living in East Anglia lol,
where are you thinking of moving too? Where I live there is a fast train to London in 30 mins

pinklady76 · 28/07/2010 21:05

hey [gardenpixie] back from shopping! no chocolate but went a bit mad with the biscuits and got kellys icecream. v.naughty! am off to the new forest county show tomorrow on my day off so hope the weather will be fine. dp asked earlier when im coming on and i just said i have no idea, he said he feels confident about his 'little swimmers' haha bless him!

womanlytales · 28/07/2010 21:10

garden Clomid did give me mood swings -- more towards the depression end.
lanky - yes, holiday was great
Q - How did you find out you're insulin resistant?

gardenpixie · 28/07/2010 21:10

Oh that's sweet that he's rooting for his swimmers!
I think the weather is meant to be good tomorrow
Sorry about the chocolate but good effort on the biscuits and ice cream!

cherrycobbler · 28/07/2010 21:19

flick - landing story made me laugh - maybe its a new fashion? I have always been tempted by Hollywood but too chicken - also when suggested it to DH he was a bit freaked out.

crazy v exciting re your therapist! I had reiki a few weeks ago which was v relaxing but sort of didn't do anything for me. I wish I was one of those people that can feel whatever is supposed to happen! Other than that not tried much complementary stuff but am considering acupuncture for Increased Baby Production in the next couple of months.

shopping talk has made me want to click straight onto asos. Have just ordered an iphone too. Bad bad bad!

aries boo re ERTD's imminent arrival. Here's a beanbag, some vino and some chocolate hobnobs to revive yourself from your horrible busy period.

mrsw hows the 2ww going cycle buddy? I am struggling this cycle! If I were a science whiz I'd develop a way that you could test from 1dpo.

cherrycobbler · 28/07/2010 21:22

ps lanky, afternoon shagfests are what its all about. Hope it was successful We made the move from central London flat to commutable house out of London about a year ago and love it. You will too. What stage are you at in terms of exchange etc?

cherrycobbler · 28/07/2010 21:26

sorry about the cluster posting but one last ps I forgot to write - hope all going ok with you flo x

MrsWajs · 29/07/2010 03:33

If only I wasn't such a wuss!! I am a bic girl cus I can't handle the pain - god only knows how I'm gonna cope with child birth?!?! Hmmmmmm.....

Lanky I is banned from online shopping since DP saw my Topshop statement once I start clicking I can't stop so it's best not to look - I am starting to get itchy feet though!! Maybe one teeny little thing wouldn't hurt??
Good on you for "I've not a care in the world" afternoon shagging - bound to produce results, no?
Ooooh red, sparkly shoes? We shall call you Dorothy from now on!

Hello cherry me old mucker!! I'm plodding along just the fine ta! Not even crossed my mind I was on the 2ww at all, nope, not once . . . . . pahahahahah - NOT!! Although I haven't been going too crazy, probably cus I'm all consumed with work at the mo. Sleep, eat, work, sleep is a fantastic distractive pattern! I think it'll all go tits up as from tomorrow though as I'm off for a week and bound to start fixating on "am I, aren't I?" sooner or later, I'm all but convinced we haven't done it this month anyway so just gonna try not to worry about it. Not temping etc hasn't been as liberating as I thought though, in fact I think I'm even more edgy now cus I have absolutely no idea when/if I ovulated!! Temperature taking will be reinstated as of next cycle!

I am making a mental note not to ever be on Clomid if at all possible, my mood swings do not need any assistance!!

Gonna check back other pages, and post more (not organised at all tonight!)

crazy Don't be shy!! I've changed your CD to 28 as I'm guessing that's roughly what you are if ERTD due this weekend, if not we can change it again but definitely sure you're not on CD13!! Exciting stuff about the reflexolgist though! I've been thinking about having it done as I also heard it was good for TTC but not sure where there is anyone in my area who does it.

Lanky teehee

Garden Your doctor sounds like an arse, you genuinely would think that people in the fertility line of work would be a bit more sensitive!! I've heard similar stories from a friend of mine who is attending a fertility clinic too, just one little throw away remark or smirk can have devastating effects.

Womanly What is your BMI if you don't mind me asking? There are a lot of women using Don Quai and various other herbal things on the charting site I use, although most of them are American.

Aww kkas the OPK's are exciting when you get a positive, I used the CB digital ones previously and the little smiley face almost made me cry the first time it appeared! I hope not to hear back from you until at least tomorrow - cus you'll be too busy doing the deed!!

Alien very of your Dubai holiday - it's on my list of places to go but I think I'd actually die if I went at this time of the year. I'm just a delicate thing you see

Tomboywife Can totally empathise with the not wanting to do that thing!! It goes through my head at least twice during ov week! I will be after a blow by blow account of what dr says/advises as it is my next pitstop if no baybee this month!

Saor Any news??

Flick I'm finished in 3 hours!! Woohoo!! How come your sister was in a funk after hols?? Hope it's nothing major.

Right back one more page and then that's it, I'm getting a sore neck sitting at this crappy desk.

MrsWajs · 29/07/2010 04:22

Ouch Kaloki sex is not sounding too good for you just now! Hope you're feeling better soon. Can't wait for your dress to be finished and you can show us all! What is DP wearing for wedding?? And when is it again - I have a memory like a sieve. Has your dad come round to the idea a bit now? Sorry a million questions there!

Tigerseyemum not sure I have said hello to you yet so hi!! Do we ahve your stats for the list??

Aries Meh for ERTD appearing Glad things are going well workwise tho. Still sending get well thought to ickle nephew.x

Not much to report from this end - not a single symptom to be had, no sign of the dreaded thrush yet but no doubt it will rear it's ugly head tomorrow now I've said that! So just hanging out the next 4-6 days and trying not to stress!

And I think that's about it - phew!! Sorry if I've missed anyone, catching up on a few days is always a nightmare! Will try to be more conscientious for the next week!

CaveMum · 29/07/2010 07:19

Morning all. MrsWajs such dedication to posting! Hope your night shift was uneventful and you're heading off for a nice snooze. I used to hate doing nights - I could never sleep properly the next day!

I'm very interested in you peeps that have had reflexology - it is something I have thought about but have never tried.
To be honest I'm not convinced my body is doing anything it should. I've been off the pill since the beginning of May and am on what I think is cycle 3.
I say 'think' because I'm really not sure! I haven't had a proper ERTD since my final withdrawal bleed. All I've been getting is one or two days of light bleeding - more like spotting. Sorry if TMI but I've only needed to use a thin panty liner. Does that count as a period?!

I'm thinking a session of reflexology or a dose of our friend Agnes ( @ Aries) might help.

CaveMum · 29/07/2010 07:23

Forgot to say to MrsWajs that I don't do waxing either (ouch)!
I'm an advocate of shaving (underarms & legs) hair removal cream (bikini) and threading (eyebrows).

I've tried waxing but just find it too uncomfortable, add to that I have thick dark hair so would end up spending a small fortune in beauty salons!

crazybutterflylady · 29/07/2010 08:27

Morning all! It was busy in here last night I see

Ok I don't know what Agnes is, can someone enlighten me pleeeeease?

Cavemum I would definitely recommend reflexology - the therapist asked if there was anything she wanted me to concentrate on but I didn't really have anything specific. You could ask about the reproductive area and I bet they could tell you a lot. If you wanted to do that I would suggest going to a holistic/alternative therapies type place rather than a beauty/spa type pleace... if that makes sense. I think the beauticians have more basic training - although they are still good!

Hope that helps x

crazybutterflylady · 29/07/2010 08:33

Oh and MrsWajs thank you! I think I must be about CD28 because ERTD is due this weekend. Sob.

CaveMum the period really affects your cycle; coming off it always mucked about with my ERTD for a good few months - sometimes it would accompany me all month, in the form you described(!). It's just your hormones sorting themselves out and starting to fend for themselves, I think it is pretty normal.

We have been pulling and praying for about 2 years (being really careful about it), so my cycles are pretty regular. The downside is that Mr Crazy and I know when I am due to be ovulating which I wish I didn't know!

x

crazybutterflylady · 29/07/2010 08:35

^^ Duh, obv haven't woken up properly yet, bit worrying since I am at work! I meant the pill really affects your cycle, not the period.

Zzzzzzz

LankyLegs · 29/07/2010 09:05

Hmmm new shoes - how fabulous. Well done garden a gal after my own heart. You show that cow of a doctor! Really - do you promise the next time you go and see the doctor you will wear those shoes?!

Hellloooo pinklady sounds like you have been having a hard day mucking out stables! Hope you have fun at the show today! Sounds lovely.

Cave try not to worry too much about your cycles if you have just come off the pill a couple of months ago - I think it can often take a while to regulate.

Cherry hope the 2ww isn't too painful! Ooh - yes - can not wait to get out to the 'burbs', however we are waiting for someone to buy our flat but we have had an offer on a house accepted - its just a a case of finding a buyer. Pleased you are enjoying being outside of town. I am desperate to leave the smoke now

Alien yay for another Essex Bird! We are planning to move to Beckenham - not sure if you know it. I went to Dubai in December - it's such an extravagant place isn't it? Not sure it was my cup of tea - a bit too man made - but I could appreciate its merits - hot weather and luxury!! Hope you have an amazing time!

MrsWajs yuck for the ban - but I have been there before. MrL has banned me several times as I have no self restraint when it comes to shoes and dresses. How is the 2ww going? Sooo pleased you are at the end of night shifts - bet you are over the moon!

Crazy one of the other frolickers will have to talk to you about Agnus - don't use it I'm afraid. What I do take is 100mg of Vit B6 every day as I was afraid of having a short luteal phase and it has seemed to increase my LP and stop any spotting before ERTD arrives. It helps with healthy hormone balance. It is also water soluble so your body expels anything it doesn't need.

With regards to reflexology - I went for a stroll yesterday afternoon and popped into a centre we have near us that does all sorts of alternative therapies and massage and yoga etc. Anyway - the reflexology is supposed to help with pre-conception as well but I didn't get a chance to ask too many questions as there was a woman sat in the reception - so I will head back to find out more. Its around £60 a session and they recommend a few/course depending on circumstances etc. I might look into this as aprt of detox month in September.

LankyLegs · 29/07/2010 09:07

aprt part - have not had my morning coffee yet.
