Ooooo a sale! A sale!

That's me sorted for the afternoon - thanks!

I have had acupuncture and really enjoyed it. It was a bit odd having needles stuck in me (felt a bit electric shocky) but it was sooooo relaxing and I walked around in a lovely haze for days afterwards.

I might get another session booked in for the weekend as a little treat

Well done on the afternoon plans lanky - you're an inspiration!

gardenpixie · 28/07/2010 13:33

crazy that is so exciting!

how long until you can poas?

LankyLegs · 28/07/2010 13:40

REALLY?

crazybutterflylady · 28/07/2010 13:41

I don't really know - on pregnology it says 1-2 days... but my ERTD is due around this weekend so I am thinking of waiting it out until maybe Monday otherwise I am only encouraging the obsession! I am not sure whether we missed the ovulation either so I am trying really hard not to get my hopes up.

The thing is for the past 2 weeks I have been falling asleep on the sofa every night which I never do - have been mega thirsty, had the funny taste in my mouth and woke up today with sore gums. All of which I have discovered are symptoms... but could be down to heat/other things I guess?

Oh and my boobs don't hurt

LankyLegs · 28/07/2010 13:45

crazy you are not CD 13 then are you? You must be later than that if you are thinking of POAS?

crazybutterflylady · 28/07/2010 13:46

Ahhh so there is a plan for the gazebo.. that's fine then, I don't see a problem

Fingers crossed on your flat selling... are you staying in South London or will you move out? We live in SL too and are planning to move after the baby is born (unless it takes ages to conceive).

I agree with MrL - get yourself home. And maybe he can just tell you're ovulating because you have a glow?! Ok who am I kidding but at least you're on the same page! :D

crazybutterflylady · 28/07/2010 13:50

I didn't know if CD was counted from ovulation or from the start of your last period. I am new to this!

Anyway I am not late yet... so totally obsessing for nothing!

gardenpixie · 28/07/2010 13:51

Ooooo crazy that is exciting!

Fingers crossed!

Lanky I am seriously considering ditching a conference call to browse the lovely shoes and bags on asos. Bad garden, bad.

I think Mr L just sounds like he's enjoying being in demand!

LankyLegs · 28/07/2010 13:59

Crazy Another saaaf Londoner!

We are going to move just outside London to SE Kent which is about 25 mins on a slow train to Victoria - so sort of half way house. Have been living in flats since University so really bloody excited at thought of a house! We were sort of trying to time the two - baby and house - but have been trying since last November now and just have to crack on with plans regardless.

CD 1 is the first day of your ERTD. You must be 13 DPO which is days post ovulation. Trust me its good that you don't know too much about it! It is not good having all this info in your head! Good not to obsess too much either!

Garden I should not have given you a link to that site - I spent to long on their yesterday too. You are right - I think MrL loves being in demand! Don't they all?!

felicityFlick · 28/07/2010 14:04

Morning FF's,

Hope no sore heads today from all of the gin consumed yesterday

Welcome crazy- I am too lazy to type your full name, although it is very lovely How bloody exciting about what your reflexologist said! You have excellent self-restraint.

garden you are not a man! Not that you need me to tell you that of course. Silly female doctor!

Enjoy your afternoon sesh lanky day 15! Prime SWI'ing day too will keep you posted on my quest for porn star cocktails! and thanks cherry for helping me believe that these exist outside of lanky'slondonland

womanly I so hope that your BFP is just around the corner- you are doing everything possible to get there and you really deserve it to happen soon.

Any news on ERTD zips? Hope you're ok.

Big waves to everyone else.

I had a few real life glasses of wine last night with one of my oldest school friends (our mum's were in hospital together when they were having us!) and we were chatting about another friend of ours from school (although now more her friend than mine) who's baby is overdue by a week. In that conversation I found out that she had been trying for 9 months to get pregnant and I felt like such a cow 'cos when I found out in January that she was pregnant I was really and said loads of horrible things to my DH about how I bet she was only trying one month and how it wasn't fair blah, blah, blah. Now I have decided to try and not be jealous when I hear RL people are pregnant cos after all, we can never tell what people have been going through. It was a little lesson to me!

In other news, I went for a wax this morning (Brazilian of course lanky !) and the lady who did it has made my 'landing strip' wonky! It skews much further over to the right than the middle. Bet you all wanted to know that didn't you?!

Happy hump day to you all

crazybutterflylady · 28/07/2010 14:07

We are both from the North originally so we are planning to move to Cambridge to help with getting the sprogs to a babysitter seeing the family... bit scary but I have had enough of London and we are Being Sensible and moving in time for nurseries/schools etc. And to get a house, I know what you mean! We are renting a house at the moment and it was the first time we'd had stairs for years, I love it! Even a teeny garden for our moggies :D Fingers crossed it all goes through for you Lanky.

Garden I think you should load links to your purchases so we can live through you. Work is pretty slow today and I need to look at some pretty things!

felicityFlick · 28/07/2010 14:07

oooo X-posts!

lanky- I did chuckle about your gazebo, thats just the sort of thing I would do! Mr. L sounds funny!

crazybutterflylady · 28/07/2010 14:09

Hi felicityFlick :D thanks for the welcome.

I love your waxing story. A friend of mine went to a new waxing place just before her wedding and ended up with a wonky postage stamp... I wonder if it is the same place?!

Hehe :D

gardenpixie · 28/07/2010 14:16

well crazy I was thinking about these:

www.asos.com/Karen-Millen/Karen-Millen-Satin-Cage-Heeled-Sandal/Prod/pgeproduct.asp x?iid=1066489&cid=1931&Rf-400=374&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Pink

as they are girlie and sparkly and have a bow on them so would definitely make me feel more feminine!

they may be a bit toooooo girlie though ... so am still browsing ...

where in cambridge are you thinking of moving?

gardenpixie · 28/07/2010 14:20

felicityFlick your landing strip issue made me chuckle ... I am sure Mr Flick doesn't mind too much though?

The only time Mr Garden ever even noticed any of my lady lawn mowing was when I had which ever one it is that takes it all off

felicityFlick · 28/07/2010 14:45

Ha ha- that is the HOLLYWOOD, garden I had that before my wedding and Mr. Flick wasn't too fond of it as he said he felt a bit pervy with me having NO hair at all down there- not a great success!

Shoes sounds lovely but I couldn't see the link.

crazybutterflylady · 28/07/2010 14:50

Garden I can't see those shoes. Booooo. buy a bag buy a bag buy a bag
:D

We haven't decided exactly where in Cambridge yet; we know nothing about the area really, but we have looked around some of the villages - Melbourn, Meldreth and some of Huntingdon - and we really liked them. I think we will rent out there early next year and decide where to buy. I can't wait!

gardenpixie · 28/07/2010 14:58

sorry about the lack of shoe link - can't work out how to put it on there properly

Ah, Flick, the hollywood, yes that sounds about right! Won't be trying it again... quite a bit of and Mr Garden thought it was a bit odd too!

Crazy Cambridge and all around it is lovely! I am sure you will be very happy there

crazybutterflylady · 28/07/2010 15:10

I have found the shoes - they're lovely, VERY girly.

try here

Told you I was bored

CaveMum · 28/07/2010 15:43

crazy welcome

You'll be moving to my part of the world then! I live in a certain town connected with horseracing about 10 miles east of Cambridge
If you want any advice on the area, let me know.

To be honest, Cambridge is very expensive, so you'll get better value out in the villages. Sounds like you are concentrating on the west side of Cambridge (we got married in a place called Longstowe just west of Cambridge) but the east side is lovely too!

Nothing to report in my world, still waiting for ERTD to show up.
DH should find out for sure about the job in the next week or so. I'm trying very hard not to get my hopes up, but if it does work out it will only be 2 more cycles (at the current rate!) before we can start TTC.

[tries to remain calm emotcion]

crazybutterflylady · 28/07/2010 15:54

Hi CaveMum

Thanks, that's really kind of you and I might take you up on that if you don't mind. We have zero idea about areas, but know that we want the commute into town to be easyish. Thorough huh?

We did look at your town actually and wondered how busy it would get around race days - we have friends in York who are more or less stuck at home every time there's a big race on.

Fingers crossed for MrCM's job!

It's so nice bieng able to obsess here without being judged (not that my friends are but ykwim)... thanks y'all for your kind welcome

MrsWajs · 28/07/2010 16:39

hello!

Lanky It's payday today and if I spend all my wages on the Asos sale, I'm holding you responsible!!!

Just up so skim reading, will be back to post proper later probably from work

CaveMum · 28/07/2010 16:59

crazy it can get busy, it depends on whereabouts in the town you are and also what the race day is.

On a small race day you'd barely notice, but during the Guineas Festival (1st wknd in May), July Week (2nd week in July), Champions Day (Saturday in mid October) and of course the Newmarket night meetings (7 Friday nights during the summer) the high street and the main roads into the town get pretty busy. Once you get used to the area you can navigate your way round the back roads without too much bother. I've been here 10 years so it can't be that bad!

Commute wise I work in the town but sometimes have to go to Cambridge to catch the train to London. If I leave home by 7.15 I can always get the 8.45 train or if I'm lucky the 8.15. Trafffic is a bit of a bummer in Cambridge though and the parking is extortionate - £7 for the day at the train station and getting on for double that at the multistories!

crazybutterflylady · 28/07/2010 17:35

Thanks CaveMum that's really helpful - the parking thing is a problem but I think we are going to have it everywhere! Obviously once we have a baby (everything willing), Mr Crazy will commute to the station by bike come rain, wind or snow (according to him, ha!).

In the West there are smaller stations like Royston which go direct to London... do you have any similar stations around your way?

Shyly waves to MrsWajs

CaveMum · 28/07/2010 17:53

crazy there is a small train station in my town which has trains to Ipswich and Cambridge once an hour and there is a station in a village called Whittlesford about 20 mins away that has trains to Liverpool St.
