Have fun!!!

TomboyWife · 21/07/2010 22:14

Evening ladies!

AF has just about finished doing her thing, so now it's time for DH and I to get down to doing, erm, our thing. DH is working evenings this week though, which means less opportunity. Bah.

I also need to make us a GP appointment to try and find out why we're up to cycle 8 now with no results. I don't actually think anything is wrong (though best to find out for sure obviously), I think we've just been some combination of unlucky and rubbish at TTC. There have been several months when we only managed The Deed once at the right time. I think one month we managed it not at all.

I think we had a near miss on our first month of trying, way back in November. I had every pregnancy symptom in the book, but then AF turned up bang on schedule. I keep thinking, "If that one had stuck I'd be almost ready to go on maternity leave now." Not a helpful thought, I know.

CaveMum · 21/07/2010 22:15

Have fun Bellaby [tries not to look jealous emotcion]

Ooo another grad visitor [waves] @ pixiestix. Sorry you're not having a fun time at the mo.

Greetings to gardenpixie and curiouselle wishing lots of frolicker luck to you and all our newbies.

Yoo hoo lanky, kaloki and MrsWajs hope all is well with you all.

I may have a new victim frolicker to join us soon. Had dinner with my best mate tonight and she told me she has thrown out her contraception and will be starting to TTC soon. I've told her to come join us so she may be stopping by in the near future.

Hugs to everyone else x.

TomboyWife · 21/07/2010 22:15

Oh, and I'm insanely envious of everyone who's going/recently been on holiday.

CaveMum · 21/07/2010 22:21

Crossed posts with TomBoy [waves] - I'm very jealous of all the holidays too

Florin · 21/07/2010 22:52

Ahhh thanks for all the sympathy girls. Cried all the way home from work-thank god I drive and don't get the bus or the train. Picked dh up from the station on the way through. Already text him so he knew I was upset so he gets in the car and his word of wisdom were it takes a lot of people a year to get over the pill so it might be a few months yet. I know its true but really not what I wanted to hear bless him I know he is trying!
I've had my fair share of the wine which has cheered me up, its lovely knowing everyone here is the same and shares the same frustration know one else seems to understand. My best friend in RL although she is the only person in RL that knows about us TTC she is completly not interested wont talk about it just moans about how much a pain her kids are. Her dd is the love of my life I would adopt her tomorrow she is the most gorgeous little girl who is great fun and is the best company so I find it hard when she always tells me how she regrets her :-(
Mrswajs I thought it was my month too you know how some months seems more likely than others.
Curiouselle everyone tries to keep it casual but before you know it you are obsessed its impossible not to be although I did temps one month then stopped as I couldn't stand the pressure I worried too much as I studied my temperature at some god awful hour in the morning
Pixiestix don't tell us about the knicker checking going on that long not sure I can manage it. Its bad enought on the 2ww. Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well and you feel better soon
Bellaby have a wonderful time, I am super jealous
cavemum well done on the recruitment we could do with a few more joining us!

zippys · 22/07/2010 08:21

I'M BACK - morning chick a dee's

I was going to to update the list but my computer just lost the first bit of my post so I am amfraid I dont have time now! Sorry. I had an amzing holiday, relaxing and drinking and eating and not a whole lot else . AND I have a tan, which is very unusual for me (vv pale).

I havent time to go back over all the post but, welcome to all the newbies, we needed some new people, but I think you all need to talk more, its been pretty quiet around here.

Lovely to hear from the grads popping in, *Pixie sorry to hear about GD, cant believe your DH has blamed you - its not your fault, try not to worry too much hon.

Fudge cant believe how much of a fighter little splodge is, I am thinking of you and keeping everything crossed for you.

Bella have a lovely holiday

For those of you who ERTD arrived while I have been away hope you are all feeling a little better now and drinking copious amounts of wine!

Mrs Waj tro answer your questions from last week, I had to wait till I was past 12 months of trying as I was still having test for my sickness but I think most doctors want you to have hit the 12 month mark before an appointment, have you decided what you want to do?

Womanly sorry to hear your tests results .

Flick woooo hooo for starting to TTC

Kaloki hope you feel a little better now you know whats going on. Its so crappy that we quite happily use contraception then it causes all sorts of problems later when we want to TTC. (hugs)

Aries I hope your nephew is ok, it must be a tough time for all the family.

LankyLegs hope your DH has grovelled enought to get back into your good books.

Cavemum you really are going to the font of all TTC knowledge when you TTC

Sorry for everyone I have missed and for not doing personal posts to newbies but posting from memory rather then going over old post so sorry.

Well no real news from me. I have to say I am very up and down at the moment. Holiday was great as we just shagged, not SWI or SWOI, just back to how it was pre TTC and it was great. But as mentioned by others once you know about OV time it is so hard not to concentrate on it.

Had a lot of time to relect on holiday and kept thinking things like, I expected to be pregnant on holiday when we booked it and the fact that if I had fallen pregnant the first month we tried we would have had a 6 month old baby with us on holiday . I love this board and I dont know how I would have coped without you all BUT I am starting to relect on the fact that so many people have graduated since I have been here and feel like I will never graduate!

I think ERTD is on its way as I have sore nipples and quite emotional, I cried at a picture of my friends son that she emailed yesterday!

Right off to work as have loads to do and this was meant to be a quickie!!

LankyLegs · 22/07/2010 09:14

Zippys welcome back! Sounds like you did lots of thinking and stuff on holiday. Listen, as I said to Florin don't you worry we totally will get a baby soon - we just need to keep the faith and all that. I tell you what though - holidays are nice just to get the old shagging back to pre-TTC mode. I know it was the same for me. You WILL graduate and everyfink so don't worry (hugs)

Bella you lucky thing - have a fabo holiday!!

Hello to curioselle and gardenpixie (love you name btw) - its fab here and I don't know what I would do without this rowdy bunch to listen to me woes!!

Steg whoa -sounds like you do some crazy working patterns - that must be tough. Hat off to you for working so bloody hard and fitting in shagging between all of that must be hard.

Kaloki at least you have an explanation for the pain - which is good. Hope the antibiotics have kicked in.

Contraception hey - you wouldn't do it again would you?! I refuse to go back on the pill until all THREE of my sprogs have been born. Yes that's THREE. Although one would be a start.

Tomboy symptom spotting is awful - I advise against it (who am I kidding) the thing is ERTD and pregnancy symptoms are very similar at the start (or they can be so I have heard - clearly I have no prior experience in this!)

Cave well done for recruiting peeps from RL!

I had dinner with my sister last night who is 4 months pregnant with her third baby. I ended up drinking the best part of a bottle of wine and a glass of bubbles. I think i need to start this detox thing soon - am starting to feel like an old barren hag who drinks a lot! I don't think I drink too much - Its just over the ERTD period and then I feel bad

gardenpixie · 22/07/2010 09:42

Oh no Karstan, sorry to hear that ... not a good way to start off a Thursday. You OK?

I just got in to work to find another colleague is pg , trying to find a meeting to go to take my mind off it!

gardenpixie · 22/07/2010 09:46

Lankylegs, sorry I just saw from your very organised list that I haven't given you my TTC details ... I've been trying seriously for 8 cycles, UCL 30-35 days, CD7

Karstan · 22/07/2010 09:48

Yeah, I'm fine. First cycle of trying so can't really complain and I didn't feel like it had happened this month. At least she arrived a day early, reckon even a day late when ttc could build your hopes up quite a bit

highheelsandequations · 22/07/2010 09:51

Morning all.

Sorry to those who have got ERTD recently, it never gets any easier does it? At least ERTD = wine with no guilt.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one feeling like a barren hag with too much of an alcohol craving LankyLegs although I have to admit that as the cycles have ticked by I have stopped feeling so guilty about drinking and will even have the odd glass or two on the 2ww. Am I allowed to admit that here or should I be treating my body like a temple?

At that stage now where I start thinking about POAS. Was determined to wait until ERTD arrives this cycle as fairly convinced it has not happened for us this time but have a bit of a dilemma. Going on holiday next Tues, which will be CD32. If ERTD has not got me by then do I test or not? Testing and getting BFP would start holiday off wonderfully. Testing and getting BFN would be miserable start however allow me to enjoy some cocktails and bubbly guilt free and at least give me a warning that ERTD will be on its way. Thoughts?

Sorry for the me me me post, still trying to remember all the information about everyone so I can chat to you properly! Thanks for all the support so far though.

SaorAlba · 22/07/2010 09:55

Hi folks

Just dropping in to let you know I'm back from my holiday. Not all that hopeful for this month as we didn't SWI enough due to being on holiday with my parents.

Going to just lurk on here for a bit to avoid obsession so won't be posting much.

Thinking of you all.

Could I make a suggestion that we dont post the people MIA to make the list shorter? If this upsets anyone we done have to??

CaveMum · 22/07/2010 10:13

highheels I wouldn't worry about the drinking on the 2ww - we're a pretty liberal bunch here, just don't mention it on some of the other threads

I think, from what I understand, that it is ok to drink (within reason) for the first few weeks of pregnancy anyway as the baby cannot absorb anything from your bloodstream until the placenta has formed, and this takes a good 3 or 4 weeks.

zippys glad you had a good holiday and yes indeed I fully expect to be an expert on ttc soon! I have a tendancy to remember things I read, which is great for exams and stuff but often means my head is full of useless facts!

gardenpixie · 22/07/2010 10:16

highheelsandequations I reckon it's definitely worth POAS before your hols - fingers crossed for a BFP but if not, at least you can tuck into the holiday tipples ...

highheelsandequations · 22/07/2010 10:19

cavemum I read that about drinking and placentas and decided I liked that advice much more than some of the other opinions out there! The good thing about google is that you can usually find nonsence evidence to support anything! If all this ever works I also plan on taking the advice on one webiste that eating chocolate every day helps reduce the risk of MC.

LankyLegs · 22/07/2010 12:50

Zippy's how wierd I was thinking the same! I think maybe remove them too and if they want to come back and be loved again we can add them back on right?!

Highheels are you a POAS addict?! You should test when you feel its right to test. I don't bother testing anymore - in fact I have a stack on expensive tests in my knicker draw that have not been touched for months. Good luck if you do decide to test though!

OMG chocolate too?? [Hmm]

I am of the same ilke - as the months have rolled by I have started having the odd glass of wine in the 2WW if we are out for dinner etc - bah to hell with it! Like cave said about the placenta and stuff.... like I need an excuse?!

Karstan sorry about ERTD. Tis a bummer. Here - have a pornstar cocktail from me.

gardenpixie · 22/07/2010 13:04

oh no, DH just called me - he's been tidying the house up as my parents are visiting for a few nights and he wanted to pack away all the TTC stuff... he said he was amazed at the amount of OPKs, POAS's, vit pills etc there was.

I fear he thinks I'm a bit unhinged ... I'm feeling a bit daft ...

highheelsandequations · 22/07/2010 13:10

LankyLegs, I wouldn't say I'm an addict exactly but I do go through phases! Had really irregular cycles before started on the clomid so was never entirely sure when I was due and think that's what got me hooked. Determined to be good from now on though!

gardenpixie I hide my supplies from my DP, don't think he'd understand

Karstan · 22/07/2010 13:12

What about putting the missing in action people on the opening post of any new thread and then just the shorter list for the daily updates?

MrsWajs · 22/07/2010 13:13

zippys I was also thinking the same just a few days ago! I know on another thread that if you haven't posted in the current thread then when the new one starts your name doesn't go on the list. Obviously we can't do that for the waiting and not counting people here but I think for the MIA's then yes we could miss them out.

Lucky If you're lurking here then could you let me know if CBFM arrived? I posted it on Friday last week so if you say no, I'm gonna freak out!!

Karstan Sorry about ERTD.

Welcome to curiousellr also, we'll need your stats to get you on the list - cycle number, usual cycle legth, and what cycle day you're on

Sorry crap post again but start back to work tonight for 7 so need to get stuff done around the house instead of wasting hours on laptop!!

superpenguin · 22/07/2010 16:58

Hello everyone,
I hope you are all ok.

Just popping my head round the door to say I have not forgotten all you lovely ladies and still wishing you all the best.

I am 7 weeks + 3 days today and doing ok. Feeling really sick all the time and exhausted from doing nothing at all but apart from that great!

I wonder who will be next to join us on the grads thread?

The only tip I can offer is:
Keep on shagging...
