Morning all!
I take it from the lack of posting that everyone is enjoying the sunshine.

Not a lot to report from me, just that I've discovered that FertilityFriend have created an iPhone ap! You can sync it to your online account do if you don't get the chance to get online for a few days you can record your temps and other symptoms on your phone then sync it to your account. Cool! I know, I'm a geek!

Right must go and get ready for lunch with MiL
She's not that bad really, but I'm sure she's going to bend our ears complaining about my BiL heading off to Afghan at the end of this month.

Florin · 04/07/2010 15:13

Hi, sorry I have been a bit quiet recently this whole ttc thing was really getting to me and I don't think obsessing about it was helping I had decided there was no way I was ever going to get pregnant and generally being really grumpy about it. We had a 2 week holiday booked so thought it was time to chill out about it. ETRD was a couple of days before so it meant that we were on holiday for my whole fertile window. Being away did me such a lot of good, I have really relaxed about it that it will happen and I just need to calm down and enjoy it. It really helped that we were sailing on a yacht in the med completly on our own and for nearly all the time we couldn't see another boat even on the horizon so we could SWi whenever and anywhere which I think was good as spiced it up a bit and got dh more interested! Anyway apparently I was conceived on a yacht (really didn't need my parents to share that info with me) so hoping it a family trait and the same can happen will happen for us! So I am now in the 2ww so just see what happens.
My current stats if anybody could add me back on are
Florin TTC #1 cycle 4 UCL??? CD 17

Other positive is my last cycle was 37 days so each month its shortening by about a week so that is good.
Glad to hear we have a couple more BFP's hope to catch up with everyone elses new over the next few days !

Ariesgirl · 04/07/2010 16:55

God Florin that sounds absolutely idyllic

The last time we went on holiday just us two together was...SEVEN years ago . Clearly that's why we haven't had a baby yet. His family is the type who hear about your holiday and invite themselves along too, and he's too soft to tell them to get stuffed.

OP posts:
CaveMum · 04/07/2010 17:49

Aries tell me about it!
Last year we went to Venice with MiL, BiL and BiL's girlfriend. Dont get me wrong I usually get on well with MiL and get on great with BiL and his GF but it's not exactly the romantic environment you want for a shag fest!

Now MiL is talking about the 5 of us going to France next September (she has a holiday property bond/time share thingy) and DH and I are trying to find a way of getting out of it without offending her. She's one of those people who says "I won't be offended" but always is! Problem is we plan on having a newborn or at least being well up the duff by next September but we can't tell her that!

Plus I find it odd going on hols with DHs mum! But DH doesn't understand my discomfort!

Ariesgirl · 04/07/2010 18:02

I'm exactly the same. Well apart from the fact that my in-laws are mental, and any holiday with them will turn into a drunken slanging match at some point. We had a couple of awful breaks with them and I said "no more" but now she's talking about a skiing holiday en masse this winter. With them, MrA's brother, wife and their badly behaved offspring, his sister, her husband and two year old daughter. And I am planning on being pregnant at that point, so any skiing holiday will be an utter bloody waste of time, as I won't be able to ski. And when I ski, I SKI, know what I mean? First lift up and last down. Not blowing my own trumpet, but it's one of the things I do best and for me a skiing holiday doesn't involve me being up the duff and baby sitting other people's kids. But apparently we can't say no because it's an important anniversary for them and they want to be surrounded by their extended family. They don't even like me anyway, so if I'm not pregnant I'll therefore be very miserable about it by then, and the last thing I'll want is to be surrounded by babies and kids and tactless in-laws. I'll want my own bloody skiing holiday, just me and him

OP posts:
CaveMum · 04/07/2010 19:07

Oh that's not good. Can you make a deal with Mr A - if you're not pregnant by, say, October (I'm sure you'll be baking away by that point) then you'll go and you can spend your days in the slopes as far away from the in laws as possible. If you are pregnant (which you will be) then you won't go. It's not reasonable yo expect a pregnant woman to go on a skiing holiday and have to watch everyone else.

Family can be crap at times. While we were in Venice DHs mum made a very cutting comment about him putting on weight, which really upset him. His upset went right over her head but he sulked (understandably) for 2 days! At the time he said we would never go away with her again, but now he seems to think it might be ok!
I'm hoping that his Afghan tour gets sorted fairly quickly, then we can decline France on the grounds that he will have only just got back and can't guarantee he'll get leave. No need to mention Operation Bun in the Oven!

Are there any work trips/important conferences you can volunteer for that JUST happen to clash with the holiday?

haloflo · 04/07/2010 20:00

Evening all. I'm super tired after a late drunken saturday night but I thought i'd pop on to update the list.

I hope everyone is ok - ill be back tomorrow for a proper post.

Evening all! Sorry for slight absence, have been having a bit of a rubbish time for various family/work reasons - boo - and generally been too gloom and doom to inflict myself on you lovely lot. Today not feeling too rational as VERY hungover and completely knackered from friend's hen night last night - obviously not helped by early arrival of the very ERTD this afternoon.

So, am updating the lovely halo's list (nicely tidied - like it) to put me right at the bottom. Sigh. This TTC lark is a bit of a rollercoaster innit?

Haven't had a chance to catch up properly and read the thread but will do next week. MrsW are you going to POAS anytime soon?? I have fingers crossed that this is your month.

Off to pull myself together and get an early night!

Cherrycobbler sorry to hear about the ERTD its so depressing when it comes round isn't it. I always decide at that point I will never get pregnant and end up in a horrid depressed state. But have a glass of wine and roll on next month. Good luck to everyone holidaying with parents/inlaws been there done that and got the t shirt and decide never again I get on with them but when it comes to holidaying with them I think I am going to kill them. Last trip with MIL she spent most of the time taking pictures of drain covers (I am not joking) apparently they very interesting ones! When we went away with my parents my mum seemed to think I was incapable of shopping, cooking or doing anything domestic (she seems to forget I do all these things in my own home and I am not 5 anymore)or deciding what snacks my dh needed (he is very slim but gets very hungry so needs to know lots of food to keep him going). Holidaying with just the dh was bliss plus hardly meeting anybody was lovely. I am not someone who exactly bares their body but it was lovely no one being around when we came into an empty bayeach day we put the anchor down and just stripped off and jumped off the back of the yacht in the sea for a swim to cool off. Pure bliss and put a bit more romance into the Swi!

Ariesgirl · 04/07/2010 22:11

Just realised my early ERTD means me and kkas aren't cycle-buddies any more . What a pisser.

OP posts:
LankyLegs · 05/07/2010 10:17

Hey y'all

How was everyone's weekends?

Kkas - what an arse being told that over a night out? People don't think about how others might feel? I was going to say hope that you didn't feel too down - but who am I kidding - I would have been trying very hard to hold back tears myself. . How is your temp doing? Oh Kkas I hope that it isn't ERTD.

MrsW has your temp dropped too? Hope not - was really holding out for you!!

Felicity How is the trip going? I hope you are having a fab time - and you are totally right about your ERTD - it goes walkabout sometimes when travelling - I had this loads when I was travelling many years ago for 6 months. Easier said than done - but try to relax about it and it will appear. I know how eager you are to crack out the monitor! Sending ERTD vibes your way none the less! Is it nice catching up with friends and family?

Almost hope you are having a great holiday too! Cant believe you logged on to check in - good on you girl! Sorry about ERTD - but enjoy those mojitos while you have the chance!

Halo I agree with the OPKs actually - I was using them up to 3/4 times a day and thought after you get a dark line there isn't any point really using them. They say it can rise and fall over 36 hours so will get variations of lines depending on when you POAS and how much liquid you have drunk etc etc. Its so bloody confusing though. I think SWI-ing 2-3 times a week should have all bases covered. I ovulated on day 16 so managed CD15, CD16 and CD17. But last month did it 3 days in the run up - still didn't make a difference! All we can do is sit and wait anyway.

Super so pleased for you - congratulations again and enjoy the grad thread. Do pop over and say hi and tell us how you are getting on with the pregnancy

Cave congrats on the exam - a B is pretty darn good!!! Well done you

Aries sorry about the bitch's arrival it ifs any consolation I had a cycle like your a few months ago where she arrived on CD26 - spoke to GP about this and she said any fluctuations between 26-35 days they consider as normal. Which is pain in the arse when you are TTC. At least you are on to the next cycle quicker. It is crap though. So are you booking skiing then? Sounds like you and MrA could do with a trip away alone.......

I have to feel for all you ladies about holidays with family! We luckily don't do that very much (maybe we will in the future!) but DH an I are very precious about holidays and he wouldn't dream of suggesting anything with his parents (nor would I!) but I think maybe in the future when kids arrive we might do more of it. But I think it would drive me to do/say terrible things.......

Florin your holiday sounds absolutely amazing amazing amazing amazing! What bliss - sailing around the med and jumping into gorgeous waters when you feel like it? Ugh - am daydreaming already. Hope you are feeling more relaxed about the TTC - it can wind us up the wrong way I know.

Hi Kurly nice to hear from you - I do hope your ERTD goes soon - sounds really quite awful. I hope you get down to the GP soon - you should get some answers about that - maybe you should speak to another GP if your last one was shite? Is there more than one at your practice?

Zippys how did SWI-ing go?!

Bella that is really not long! I would be peeing my pants with excitement - sounds like an amazing trip. Will keep fingers crossed EDTD does not come your way....

Cherry nice to have you back! Fill us in on your news when you are feeling human again.... hope the hangover wasn't too bad.

Waves to everyone else!

Pretty uneventful weekend for me - we did see some houses (which I clearly fell in love with) but they are so over priced! DH is putting in an offer on 1 of them today £60k below the asking price! But they are taking the piss and asking for was above peak price. It is gorgeous however - but watch this space. Other than that I am going to try and not get mental over this 2WW - I do have my scan this weds afternoon and hoping nothing sinister will come from that.

lanky good luck with putting in your offer. you never know, they might just want a quick sale!

my temp is still above the coverline, but not very high and no real symptoms. i expect ERTD to be here by the end of the week. but if by some miracle it isn't, i will test on sunday. but i'm not holding my breath...

evilgiraffe · 05/07/2010 19:17

Hey all, just reporting in - still no change.

haloflo · 05/07/2010 21:18

mrswajs, cherry and aries sorry to hear about ERTD. Bastards.

kurly Sorry to hear that you are still having lots of problems. I hope your GP is more helpful if you go back. Maybe take your DH if it helps. I

evilgiraffe When do you need to visit your GP again? Would you rather we did a count down than a count up?

kkas Fingers crossed for you. When do you hear about your job?

lanky House buying sounds very exciting! Whats this scan for on Wednesday again?

flick Any news? (I will keep my eye out for you during the football tomorrow)

I am still knackered from my drunken state Saturday night so bath, book and early night for me.

Bellaby · 05/07/2010 21:19

Evening All

Just a quick hello from me. My second attempt at Bikram Yoga has drained the energy out of me! This evening I sweated more than last time (if that is possible) and participated less (had to sit down for a lot of it) but someone told me after that the instructor we had always does harder classes so that made me feel better.

MrsW sorry about arrival of ERTD. Really hoped it would be your month. Big Hugs xxx

Florin and cherry - great to hear from you both

Hope everyone has a good week xxx

Kaloki · 05/07/2010 23:51

Wow, there's not so many of us on the list anymore!

So, my update.. and I'd like your opinions..
-I am still cramping, so this is 7 days of cramping and nausea. The cramping seems to be happening mainly at the same time of day.
-There's been no more spotting.
-My boobs are very sore to touch, especially the nipples, and appear to have got bigger
-I am also bloating

Do these seem a bit... uh... to you?

I'm on CD21, but this all started on CD14.. not sure what to think.

CaveMum · 06/07/2010 07:07

Ooooo kaloki, don't want to get your hopes up but those symptoms sound very promising!
Do you know roughly when you ovulated? I see your UCL is 32 days so you are probably too early to test right now, but I'd be tempted to POAS on Sunday.

Very exciting, I'm keeping everything crossed for you!

You are right that our list is getting very small - at this rate, with the lack of newbies, I'll be here on my own in Oct/Nov when we finally start TTC!

MrsWajs sorry to hear ERTD has turned up

evil nice to hear from you. Sorry that you have no news to report. Glad that I've found someone else to share my Spike crush with [drool]

Bellaby very brave of you to go back to the Bikram Yoga! I can't imagine how hit you must get, particularly as it has been so hot in real life as well!

FF is telling me I've ovulated in the last few days, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I have a 'normal' cycle this month - knowing that my body is settling down would be a big weight off my mind.

Happy Tuesday everyone!

haloflo · 06/07/2010 07:29

kaloki They sound promising but it seems very early?! Good luck whenever you decide to POAS.

almostknockedupgirl · 06/07/2010 08:10

Morning all. Rubbish to hear about the ERTDs.

End of holiday - boo! And lovely as ours was, I so need to have one like yours florin! Sounds absolutely perfect.

Lanky thanks for the concern, but the bleeding turned out not to be ERTD. It was gone by the end of the day, and hasn't returned since. And no halo, I don't normally get post-coital bleeding, unless it's heralding the start to my period! Hence my utter confusion last Friday.

Kaloki, since you showed me yours, I'll show you mine. I had funny twinges rather than cramps per se, from about CD16 or so (the day after I ovulated). Also had crazy vivid dreams for a few nights, which is unusual for me. They've now stopped, but I've had backache and really achy boobs since Saturday. And the last couple days I've been exhausted by about 5, despite not doing very much. Of course, this could all be my body just getting back into it's own hormonal rhythm... Or me just losing my mind. (Always a possibility.)

At any rate, the plan is to test on Sunday if ERTD hasn't shown up by then. Give me the strength not to POAS before then...

Morning,

ooh Kaloki your symptoms sound promising, especially the boob situation I really really hope you do get your BFP, you bloody deserve some good luck. When are you planning on POAS?

Cavemum I am sure I will still be here in Oct, I think I am now officially a piece of the furniture.

Bella I am v impressed with Birkram Yoga, I have cold at the moment and using it as an excuse not to go to the gym (and to eat pizza and drink copious amounts of wine!)

Halo hope you enjoyed you bath and book and feel recovered now.

Evil hello, would you like us to change to a count down instead of up?

Mrs Waj hope you are enjoying chocolate and wine after ERTD arrival.

Kkas if you are above cover line there is still hope, but I guess you are pretty similar to me, not wanting to get your hopes up - I really hope ERTD stays away.

Lanky - hello test buddy. I have my ultrasound ths week and trying to arrange a time for SA, as its really difficult for DP to get time off work at the moment and he doesnt work near to the hospital! Good luck with the house offer - let us know, you never know some people inflate their price knowing they will get much lower offers. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Flick hope you are enjoying your trip and not to stress re cycle.

almost hope you are enjoying your hols

Aries are you booking a holiday? I didnt really think how much TTC would affect things like hols but it makes quite a big difference.

Florin your hols sounds AMAZING . Although having said that there are only 7 more sleeps till my hols

Cherry sorry to hear about ERTD (aries I am off being sorry again ) but nice to see you back.

Right I think we need some bloody nice things to happen on this thread, we seem to have a lull in BFP and there has been a lot of bad news on the grads threads over the lasy few weeks. Lets just hope our luck changes and July turns into a bumper month.

Well mission SWI over the weekend went well - although I dont think I am due to ov till Friday but trying to do as instructed by the doctor and not concentrate too much on OV. BUT to do SA analysis need to not SWI for a couple of days and then do test so it will take quite a few days out around OV time and as we go on hols next week I think we need to have it done this week! I think I will ring hospotial and see how far in advance it needs to be done before consultants appointment.

Right back to work for me, mad week before hols.

zippys · 06/07/2010 08:18

sorry almost crossed posts, your symptoms sounds really positive too. Lets hope both you and Kaloki are the first in the run of BFP's for July.

oh and good luck holding out till Sunday before POAS

LankyLegs · 06/07/2010 09:13

Morning all

MrsWajs hugs for arrival of ERTD. I know you must be feeling shite right now - but just wanted to say thinking of you. TTC is such a roller-coaster. I also wanted to say - maybe you should start the ball rolling on tests with the GP - just seen that you are onto cycle 11? Not sure how you feel about it - but I already started this (mainly due to some pain post ovulation which they are investigating) but I am so pleased both DH and I are having all the regular tests - at least to either give us that re-assurance to just allow us to relax a bit or start the ball rolling if something is actually wrong (hoping its the former obviously). Sorry if this sounds out of order - not implying anything is wrong at all.

Zippys when is your scan? Mine is tomorrow afternoon! Hoping everything will be OK for us both . DH had his SA just over a week ago - so should hear back about them next week some time. Its quite hard logistically sorting out the whole SA thing - I hope you manage to get it sorted before hols - if not try not to worry and do it when you get back? Like you said - its right in the middle of Ov time fro you - and I know he will have to store up reserves for the test.

Kaloki Keeping things crossed for you - we need your BFP to give us some more hope - all sounds very promising!

Almost are you sure your bleed isn't an implantation bleed? Or have I got your timings mixed up? Hope you had a lovely break!

Bella good on you for sticking with the bikram yoga! I remember it being like those all body seaweed wraps you have done to loose inches off the waist - remember coming out of there and the next day clothes fitting a lot better. I should really get back into it...who am I kidding!

Halo hope you are feeling more human again after big night .....

Well they rejected our offer - not surprisingly, but we saw another one last night around the corner from it (on a nicer road and cheaper) so are putting another offer in on that today! It needs a lot of work though - I guess project might not be a bad thing to keep ones mind off the TTC thing.

5 DPO 5DPO 5DPO - must not go insane.... only 7 days to ERTD or peeing on a stick.....

MrsWajs · 06/07/2010 11:28

Morning!

Thanks for all your commiserations over ERTD. It was pretty hard to take but I think I had already resigned myself to the fact it was coming after the temp drop before I went away! So I suppose onwards and upwards for this month. Really have no idea how to approach things now as I don't know what more we can do to achieve what we want??

Lanky I have been considering the GP route for a month or two but I did speak to them already back in April and they were quite adamant I had to wait until I had been TTC for a year before I went back to see them. I believe from what other friends have told me they are quite reluctant around here to do anything too soon, which was exactly the feeling I got when I spoke to them before. However I do have another friend who went and was referred for tests straight away, sadly she hasn't been able to get any of them done yet as her ERTD keeps appearing over the weekend. And apparenty her DP isn't getting SA done until December!? Not sure why.
I think just to keep things right I am going to wait and see for one more month and if ERTD comes again next time then I will be going to get checked out and I WON'T be getting fobbed off!!

Anyway how is everyone else? Halo you sounded a bit like how I felt yesterday morning!! Got a bit carried away drowning my sorrows on Sunday night!

zippys you'd think the hospital could have been considerate enough not to plan your DP's SA around ov time!! Although given what they've already said to you maybe tht's the whole point. Maybe I should take a leaf out of your book and stop focussing so much on ov time! Good luck with your scan this week.

Bellaby Go you and the yoga! It sounds like absolute torture to me but then again I'm a lazy sod!! Really need to get myself in gear and do some more exercise!!

Oooooh kaloki that does sound exciting! How long til you can POAS (if you're going to?) Would it change any of your wedding plans if you were pg??

AlmostKnockedUp Your symptoms sound good too, fingers crossed for both you and kaloki.

Aries and Cherry I think we 3 are now cycle buddies?? I've never had one before and now I have two - how exciting!

Florin Your holiday sounded amazing!! How nice for it just to be the two of you and literally no-one else!! Glad your cycles are shortening too.

Kkas I can totally empathise with how you're feeling just now as that was me last week, still keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Cavemum Keeping my fingers crossed also for your 'normal' cycle this month!

And finally flick hope you're having a nice relaxing time on holiday!

Sorry if I've missed anyone.
