I hear tis the highest class vino around?!?

Sorry you're feeling crap Aries and your early ERTD is a indeed a pisser - our bodies are a mystery! Totally empathise with the 'why not me' thing tho, I feel like it every month!

Congratulations Super I think the saying is 'a line is a line', I still have hope if shagging everyday is the key to getting pg as DP and I put in a good shift on holiday!
The temp thing is baffling but basically staying high is good, going low is bad!

Incidentally temp today was 36.80, so happy about that at 13dpo. Bought some piss sticks today - superdrug ones which are sensitive to 10miu. So holding off til Monday morning if no ERTD by then (see the will-power oozing from my pores there!) thankfully have wedding to keep me occupied on saturday and no-doubt a hangover to contend with on sunday!!

Sorry not caught up with everyone (again!!) I have been mad busy today. Will try and lurk over weekend and hopefully return to, and maybe with, some good news!!xx

Kaloki · 02/07/2010 01:07

Oooh superpenguin!! Congrats!

I really must catch up with this thread at some point, the incessant problems with my body have made it a little difficult to come on here though. (I've still been thinking of all of you despite this!)

I've now been cramping continuously since CD14 and it's now (technically as it's 1am) CD18.

Saw the doctor who said to just keep an eye on it, TBH I don't think he took my concern seriously.

No more bleeding thankfully. But I am still feeling pretty vile. Spoke to NHS direct though who were much better - I suspect it has more to do with it being a woman I spoke to. She suspects that it has something to do with my ridiculously late period last month. There is a possibility that my period (if it hadn't been late) would have been due now.

Though the massive amounts of EWCM suggest that this wasn't an odd period.

I'm not holding out any hope of a BFP any time soon, my body is obviously in no fit state for it. Which is quite depressing, and is beginning to scare me. I know I haven't been trying for long, but it's the weirdness that is worrying me. I'd rather be regular and predictable with no BFP, than irregular and unusual with no BFP.

I think that possibly getting the Mirena fitted was the worst thing I could have done to my body

Sorry for the me post, needed to get it off my chest, and you wonderful ladies are the only ones who can truly understand the thinking behind it all.

Kaloki · 02/07/2010 01:22

I take part of the last post back. I'm spotting again. FFS

CaveMum · 02/07/2010 07:03

Morning all, a very happy Frolicker Friday to you all.

Aries & Bellaby hope you're not feeling too delicate this morning!

Mrs Wajs things sound positive so far - keeping fingers and toes firmly crossed for good news after the weekend.

kaloki sorry to hear that your body is still in the 'silly buggers club'. We don't think when we start on the long term contraception that coming off will be a problem. I'm not convinced that my body has realised that it is now in control of my hormones as temps are all over the shop and my last two "periods" have been very short and light.

superpenguin hope your great news has sunk in! Are you going to test again with a digital test?

No excitement for me this weekend, planning to just chillax (oh yes, I'm trendy!).

MrsWajs · 02/07/2010 08:33

Hahaha cavemum I do like the word 'chillax'!!

Think I'm out for this month, temp dropped this morning to 36.50 - cue tearfest this am!!

Anyway not thinking about it now til ERTD arrives.

Good luck to the rest of you and I'll see you all on Monday, well I won't 'see' you but you know what I mean!!

LankyLegs · 02/07/2010 09:01

Aries how are you feeling today?

Hey - its totally ok to vent - everything you said totally resonates - despite how long we have all been at the baby trying thing. Sometimes I think it is worth chucking it all in just go back to normality...but it aint that easy is it?

Kaloki how are you- I hope the cramping has stopped? I think the thing annoys me (and correct me if it was different for any of you) is that I had very little advice of contraception choice and had I had known about the side effects of some of them and how long it would have taken to get bloody pregnant then I would have totally have made different decisions too. Unfortunately its a matter of time - hopefully your body will regulate soon.

MrsWajs do keep us updated with your news - totally bloody exciting - you totally deserve a BFP I hope that temp stays up!

Penguin test again will you? Is it getting darker?! Pee on a stick pee on a stick pee on a stick..................

Halo I'm sure you timed the sex well so don't worry too much. For some reason I still got faint positive on the OPK this morning - Ahhh- will try another one later - I guess more shagging this evening is in order.

bellaby are you on holiday countdown mode? How many sleeps to go?

Back later....

luckyseven · 02/07/2010 09:46

cavemum the same happened to me when i came of the pill after 10 years of mostly microgynon and 6 months of Yasmin. My cycles went down to around 25 days on average somethimes 23 and sometimes 28 and really light. It took us 8 months to get pg and it was only on the eight month that my temps and opks/cbfm matched up for the first time, previously i was getting 5 or 6 positive opks in a row and couldn't keep up with the shagging, which is why i went for the cbfm.

kaloki i am sorry you are getting messed around both with your doc and with your body. Do you have a female doctor at your GP surgery that you can ask to see about ttc related issues?

Bon weekend everyone and hope any football widows enjoyed the two world cup free days we just had!

superpenguin · 02/07/2010 09:52

morning all.
well I guess I have to admit a line is a line. tested AGAIN this morning and still only a faint line though. I wish it would go darker! Am paranoid that something is bound to go wrong, as I can't surely be that lucky.
Still not gone digital as using up my internet cheapies!

MrsW - POAS!!!
and what counts as a high temp and what is low?

Kaloki sorry to hear your body is doing strange things at the moment. How are you feeling today?

right I better do some work...

Kaloki · 02/07/2010 10:57

lankylegs the annoying thing is, I asked about TTC after coming off the coil and was told there would be no complications at all and that it was the best contraception to use wrt coming off of it.

luckyseven No female GP, however I will try and see a different GP who is really good next time.

Still cramping today. Any bets on when it will stop?

superpenguin So how many more times are you going to test? COngrats on the BFP!!

CaveMum · 02/07/2010 11:19

superpenugin with temps the theory is that your temp spikes after ovulation and it you are pregnant it will stay high, otherwise it falls back down again.
You have to take your temperature every day so that you can chart it to find what your "average" is so that you know what is high for you.

kkas · 02/07/2010 11:27

aries sorry you had a crap day yesterday. wish i had been around to share the wine. instead was out with bil and his wife who have only been married for 9 months and announced they are pg. i almost cried over my duck gyoza. but instead put on a brave face and then let it all out when i got home with dh.

mrswajs my temp dropped today too. i know how you feel

kaloki sorry to hear about spotting...

superpenguin glad that we have had some good news on this thread. guess we all better start a SWI-athon next month as it seems to have worked! let us know whe you test again.

felicityFlick · 03/07/2010 03:51

Hi all,

Just popping in quickly to join the 'My body is an idiot' club. ERTD due on Wednesday- still no show after being completely regular for 4 months it chooses this month to play up, when I am desperate to break out the CBFM and finally get cracking with the ttc. Now I know that time zones can cause delayed ovulation but I ovulated on day 14 (verified by FF!) so I didn't think that going on holiday would alter ERTD's arrival as I thought only ovulation could be delayed by changing time zones? Having said that, I have had none of my usual ERTD symptoms (foul mood, sore nips, feeling sick etc) so I do not know what is going on! V. angry and trying not to be a real cow to DH on our holiday. Rubbish!

Sorry for me, me,me rant but DH does not understand!

You sound like you did so well with your bil and wife yest KKAS xxx

Belated good luck aries

Sorry to hear about your spotting again kaloki and your dismissive doc

Any more news mrsW? sorry to hear about dropping temp, and you too kkas

Oh and huge congrats penguin!

Sorry to not catchup with you all, dh will go crazy if he catches me on here but just needed to express my anger!

Love to all, especially bella, flo, lanky womanly cavemum and zippys if you're out there lurking sorry to all lovely frolickers who I have missed. Please send ERTD vibes my way! xxx

almostknockedupgirl · 03/07/2010 06:14

Hello everyone! Sneaking on quickly as on holiday and 'cheating' on the hubs with the internet. Just wanted to say a huge congrats to superpenguin! How thrilling for you!!

I was going slightly mental with the symptom spotting, till a big fat post-coital bleed yesterday (7DPO) has made me pretty sure I was wasting my time. Never had a 21 day cycle before, but the bleeding's disappeared again, so who knows what my body is doing. Meh.

Back to the hubs!

OneOf8 · 03/07/2010 07:00

Good Morning All!

Just popping in quickly to say a HUGE congrats to Superpenguin!!!

And, Halo - the sticks should turn up today - were posted yesterday (first class) but if not defo by Monday. Hope this isn't to late or anything?

Hope everyone else doing well?, I only scanned this page quick so I will have a proper read once I've finished work

haloflo · 03/07/2010 08:37

Morning all.

flick! ERTD vibes being sent! I can't believe it's not here when you want to get going. Have you kept temping? Is your temp still up? Sorry if this is totally wrong but is it worth POAS ?

almost I hope you are enjoying your holiday! Where are you? I love that you are sneaking on MN! I hope you don't mind me feeding your symptom spotting but do you normally bleed after sex? Could it be the fabled implantation bleeding? Keep us updated with your symptoms!

kaloki Poor you I'm not surprised you are concerned & that's crap about your GP. Maybe you have anovulatary bleeding with all the stress? I hope it stops soon and the cramps end too.

kkas Really sorry for temp drop and that news. I hope DH looked after you and you can stay strong.

mrswajs So sorry about your temp drop too. I hope it was a one off though and it rose again today.

lanky Thanks for the reassurance over timing, let's hope so. I might not bother using OPKs after I get the first positive. That's all fertility friend seem bothered with so maybe the later confusing ones don't matter? What do you think? I guess it's good to have all bases covered. Hmm.

oneof8 Thanks again! I will let you know when they arrive. I do have a confession to make though: I actually don't need them until next cycle as I'm sure I'm post ovulation now. Obviously if I get pg this month I'll hand them over but I wanted to be prepared if ERTD arrives.

aires I hope you feeling better today. You want to start a new cycle or you still experiencing weirdness?

penguin I don't think you should beat yourself up about how dark a line it. Maybe step away from the tests for a while? There is no reason why anything will go wrong.

Weird early symptom: Sore nipples. This could be TMI (so look after now if you want )but they haven't really got back to normal after my mc. The right one is fatter and my areolas are still quite large.

Saturday's List

(I've been harsh and moved a few people to MIA, if that was you and you are lurking come say hello and you can be moved back. Penguin: I've graduated you and gone for 1 July - I hope that's ok)

Halo good list work!

hello to everyone else!

I am going to tentatively hang around the grads thread now for a while but will still lurk here and catch up with you lovely ladies from time to time. You have all been wonderful. xxxxx

haloflo · 03/07/2010 11:01

Woo I have post - thanks oneof8!!

CaveMum · 03/07/2010 11:21

Morning all!

superpenguin more congrats, now that you're sure

felicity nice to hear from you, hope ERTD shows up soon so that you can get cracking on the TTC.

A quiet wknd for DH and I - I've had a dance lesson this morning so that's my exercise done for the wknd! Got my exam results back too - I got 74 out of 100 which is a B, so I'm very happy. If I'd managed 6 more marks I'd have had an A but that gives me something to aim for with my next exam!

Ariesgirl · 03/07/2010 11:57

Yes ERTD is here. Bitch. So am now on day 1 for anyone planning on being today's statistician. V v v v tired

OP posts:
kurlyvoice · 03/07/2010 12:46

Flick, I'm still in the President of the My Body Is An Idiot Club - having had five months of nothing, ERTD has been my constant companion for the past three/four weeks. TMI alert: I've had a few optimistic mornings and gone to work without any precaution, only to have a coffeetime loo trip and discover a newly ruined pair of knickers. M&S is doing great business out of me at the moment - and it's ALWAYS on a pretty white pant day!

I kind of want to go to the doctors about it, as a month of bleeding does seem rather abnormal, but - for those of you who have been around for a few months might remember - the last doctor visit was not very successful and I don't want to have to go through the unsympathetic trauma again. I can totally sympathise with your recent experience, kaloki.

Congrats to superpenguin and commiserations to aries on the arrival of ERTD.

Sorry for being sporadic in my posting but as I haven't a sodding clue what is going on with me, I'm trying to be relaxed about the babymaking. It's not really working... At least I've had Wimbledon to keep me occupied!

Ariesgirl · 03/07/2010 13:48

Sorry to hear that kurly . What an absolute pain in the arse for you. Perhaps you could visit a different doctor? That much bleeding should be checked out, just to try and find out why if anything. (I'm a fine one to talk about going to the doc's as I am a total coward)

OP posts:
zippys · 03/07/2010 14:36

kurly sorry to hear ERTD has still not left you. I second the others could you see another doc?

Aries to hear about ERTD, (even though its early passes round moet) hope everything went well with mission aries.

Kkas and Mrs Waj sorry to hear your temp drops too. Thats another reason why I dont want to temp, just another thing for me to obsess over! Hope you are both having a relaxing weekend. Kkas well done for holding it together till you got home

Cavemum congrats on the exam results.

Flick sorry to hear about erratic cycle, just when you thought you had it sorted . Nice to hear from you though!

Sorry I am having to fly again, no real news from me, planning on SWI over the weekend

Better run as lunch is ready, hi everyone I missed, lets hope there are some more BFP soon xx

Ariesgirl · 03/07/2010 14:40

That's a lot of sorrys, Zips! Happy shagging...

OP posts:
felicityFlick · 03/07/2010 16:20

DH is watching the football so I can sneak back in here quickly

flo am not sure about temp, I stopped temping after ovulation as I knew I wouldn't be able to keep it up for the whole cycle. We have been using condoms but you never know... I have decided to wait until Monday and then poas just to check. I'm not expecting to be preg but at least if it is a BFN I can stop wondering and try to ignore my strange body!

congrats cavemum

Rubbish kurly , I was hoping you would have given up your president status. I think you should try and see another doc too.

almost, maybe it is implantation bleeding?

Have a lovely weekend all

Bellaby · 03/07/2010 23:27

Evening All

Hope you've all had a lovely day.

Hermya great to see you popping in the other day

MrsW - thanks for the chav wine . Hope you had fun at the wedding. Am really hoping for good news for you this month

Kaloki so sorry you are still having a rough time of it. Your doctor didn't sound overly helpful .

Cavemum - hope you are enjoying the chillaxing . Thanks for clarifying the temping thing - all makes perfect sense now although not sure I could be as committed to it as MrsW even if I did have regular cycles. Well done on your exam result - that is very good.

lanky -thanks for asking - just 18 more sleeps until my holiday. I am very excited but just keeping my fingers crossed that ERTD doesn't decide to make it's appearance at the wrong time!

kkas you can join our wine party next time. Poor you with the dinner. Everyone around me seems to be pregnant at the moment. Was like a 'mothers to be' meeting at the desk behind me on Fri and they were all talking really loudly . Actually one of the girls who has just recently joined the firm 'discovered' she was pregnant 2 days after starting . Tricky subject.

Felicity - so lovely to hear from you. Sorry that ERTD isn't arriving as it should. I'm sure long distant flights can play havoc with the system, both ov and ertd. Sending you lots of vibes - in fact can you send them back to me when you have finished

Hello almost - good to hear from you and I hope you are having a fab holiday

Halo - Well done on the list. It looks so neat and tidy now! Seems we have lost quite a few people on our journey. Still I have to confess it does seem easier to keep up with everyone know and really get to know people.... my second family

Aries - hope you have had a restful day and not been at the wine again!

Zippys - I hope that plan SWI goes well this weekend.

Lots of Love
