And I have a double t on "won't". You know what they say:
"Post in haste: repent at leisure."
"Always preview before you post"

Those well-known sayings ought to be at the top of the newbie MN contract.

OP posts:
Bellaby · 30/06/2010 08:28

Well done Aries

Bellaby · 30/06/2010 08:29

And good luck to you and Mr A

CaveMum · 30/06/2010 08:29

Oo er Aries, bad morning?! I'd do the same - the main reason I haven't had a go at the stats yet! I'm hiding behind the excuse that it's not right that I play with the stats until we're actually TTC and that I can't do them on my iPhone for now!

Good luck to you and MrA for your super secret mission. Shhhhhh!

Bellaby · 30/06/2010 08:40

Can today be declared a national holiday please? I really don't feel like going to work and am very late already

SaorAlba · 30/06/2010 08:46

Sending good luck vibes your way aries!!

LankyLegs · 30/06/2010 09:01

I'm with you bellaby today should not be a work day.

Good luck to Mr and Mrs A!

Here's a for everyone else...

Ariesgirl · 30/06/2010 09:14

Is it hot with everyone else then? It's distinctly cool and cloudy here

Thanks for the messages of support.

OP posts:
MrsWajs · 30/06/2010 10:08

Good luck to ariesgirl and ariesboy

It's cloudy here too but then again has been all week really - bloody scottish weather!

Well after being oh so excited all day yesterday, I feel a bit deflated today. Temp took a dip to 36.65 like I knew it would for 12dpo, in fact looking back on my other charts I have had higher temps at this stage and still not been pg!
My boobs are a wee bitty delicate though? Which is unusual for me. Gaagh still trying to symptom spot in vain. I just wanna know what's going on! Promised myself and DP though that I wouldn't POAS until ERTD was late though!

I really hate TTC sometimes.

Sorry I'm being very mememe this week!

How is everyone else, seems to be quite quiet on here lately.

superpenguin · 30/06/2010 12:48

Good luck Aries and MrA!

superpenguin · 30/06/2010 12:54

Hello everyone!

Cavemum that makes sense to save for deposit etc so good luck with your revised plans!

Giraffe hope you had a good visit to baby!

Aries well done on the stats, what's a mere day between friends?

Bellaby completely agree, wish I was at home too. Sadly been in meetings all morning in a very hot room.

superpenguin · 30/06/2010 13:07

Now then, I am now on day 31 on an average cycle length of 29 (although has varied from 27 to 32), and no sign of ERTD.

So I POAS again this morning and BFN.
At least, I'm fairly sure it was a BFN.
And as far as everything goes for the time being at least we are calling it a BFN ok? Please go along with me on this one!

BUT I kept thinking that I could see an extremely faint line. I'm not sure if it was my imagination, or evaporation or what.

So I woke DH up (this was at 7am which is the middle of the night for him as he stays up til early hours and sleeps in all morning as works afternoons to evenings). Anyway, I woke him up and showed him the stick (I'm sure he has never seen one before either) and I said "how many pink lines can you see on this stick?"
Him: "well there's at least one, not sure"
Me: "well 2 lines means I'm pregnant, one line I'm not"
him: "let me have another look"
me: "don't touch that end, it's got wee on it!"
him: "I can't really tell anyway"
me: "hmm, me neither..."

Still, it's not over until ERTD arrives, so I am very excited a bit hopeful.
I will test again on Friday morning if no arrival of ERTD in the meanwhile. Eeeek!

luckyseven · 30/06/2010 13:54

superpenguin what kind of test was it? I got a super feint line on a boots cheapie and tried again with a superdrug early response later on the same day and got a definite line. Maybe try a different brand? Good luck!

superpenguin · 30/06/2010 15:15

'twas an internet cheapie - sensitivity 25 mlU. I have 2 more of the same left at home.
I don't have time to get to any shops today to buy any different ones, but I think 25 is fairly sensitive anyway? I heard that some are 50 although you can get them as low as 10. I also read that the hormone level doubles every 2 days in the early days so Friday is a good bet, if I can wait that long!

haloflo · 30/06/2010 15:36

Afternoon all. Just back from my night away & it looks like there's quite a bit to catch up on.

almost Good luck in your first 2ww. Let us know when you start symptom spotting.

cavemum That house looked lovely but does sound like a lot to take on in the next year or so! (Hopefully a baby on the way, your DH in Afghan and a house needing work - are you superwoman!?) Reading on to your post yesterday - the new plan sounds good and I hope nothing else comes along to force you to change it although you are quite within your rights to change your mind if you feel like it as often as you want!

mrswajs Sorry about the temp drop today but it sounds like it's still above your coverline so all isn't lost. Your symptoms sound promising so I'm sure you aren't out yet. I hope you are managing to stay sane - my fingers are firmly crossed for you.

kaloki Glad to hear you are ovulating on time but sorry to hear you are up and down. Thanks for the new word!

soaralba Sorry about ERTD but you sound positive for the next cycle. Enjoy lots of wine, soft cheese and pate's in France next week if you get to go. How things looking on that front? I hope you've sorted a car, even if it's a hire one.

claire Nice to hear from you. I know I could never leave this thread, even when I briefly graduated I couldn't stay away.

lanky Any signs for you yet or you sure it will be tomorrow? I got a positive OPK Monday so reckon I ov'ed either Monday or Tuesday. Judging from the past couple of months I seem to ovulate quickly after my surge. I refuse to believe I'm on the 2ww just yet so am hoping to SWI again later. (So far so good with CD11, 13 and 14 all in the bag) I hope your warming up went well and you are ready for the big event over the next few days.

womanly Hope things are ok- hopefully your tests will really help you know what's going on in the next few weeks.

penguin I demand you go buy a digital test today and test again ASAP! No" is it a line/isn't it a line" with a digi and Friday just seems an age away! My fingers are crossed that you hit it lucky and your SWI marathon pays off. Lol at your DH going back to sleep & noticing your boobs but not your hair.

bellaby That yoga sounds terrifying. Are you going back do you think? I hope you and your DH and are enjoying your shagging without intention and fingers crossed this break in TTC & holiday of yours will help your cycles regulate.

aires Good luck to you and Mr A for your mysterious activity today - I hope we get to find out what it was if it works out.

cherry How are you? I don't remember hearing from you for a while - everything ok?

zippys I hope things are good with you and your are SWI'ing as per doctors orders!

kkas How things with you? I hope you managed to get some SWI in despite the hot temperatures.

Huge waves to flick - I hope the trip is amazing and you are finally on CD1 of your TTC cycle.

So an update from me ... You know how I was excited about going away for the night on CD14 and was hoping that some hotel SWI would do the trick? Well nothing ever works out as planned does it? Basically we arrived about 3, dropped our bags off and went shopping. We should NEVER shop together and you'd think after 6 and half years together I would know this? Anyway we fell out then because DP hates shopping so much. He doesn't say anything but just stands there awkwardly which annoys me even more! After the shopping incident things got better as we went for a lovely pub dinner and some drinks. The band we went to see were really good and things had picked up. Unfortunately some crossed wires meant we ended up going home earlier than planned and blamed each other. Cue silly argument and tears before bedtime. We then had the worst night's sleep ever and weren't in the mood this morning either. Worry not it was nothing serious and we have made up now with a nice day today but I can't help but think what a waste of a hotel room!

TTC update- I got a clear positive OPK on CD13 (Monday) so am hoping the afternoon delight that day and the SWI done the morning of CD14 was enough despite yesterday's fights. Hopefully we will give it a go tonight for one last throw of the dice before I settle into the 2ww.

haloflo · 30/06/2010 15:59

Also Oneof8 I'm really pleased your 12 week scan went well. If they are still going I'll take the OPKs? (I know I'm a shameless freebie grabber!) Email me at [email protected] if you still have them anyway.

lucky I hope things are going well for you too. When's your 20 week scan? (I'm no good at checking the grads thread I'm afraid - I know I should)

OneOf8 · 30/06/2010 17:03

Halo - yes, all yours - I didn't get into enough of a cycle to utilise properly thanks to irregular visits and is a shame to let them go to waste! As you can see I?m the [tight arse emoticon!]

Still haven't counted them - but a few there, and worthy of the stamp (thank you work for providing ?free? post service!) so you may be able to pass them on once your done (the unused ones, 2nd hand ones would just be nasty!)

I'll email you now so you have my email address to forward postal address to.

If anyone wants the Preg tests, they were the sensitive ones off amazon - "10 miu" dip stick ones.

Working it backwards now blobby has been dated, I would have been 4 weeks as tested after GP told me (just couldn't believe it!), and lines were as clear as day - for me this would have been prior to missed ERTD - but I had not seen anything at three weeks, however distinctly recall being in a grump and giving it enough time to get wet and the control line to appear before going back downstairs, so may well work even earlier (if this was anyone?s cup of tea? )

Just let me know

luckyseven · 30/06/2010 17:51

halo i am 16 wks tomorrow and 20 week scan is on july 28th so trying to be patient. Have a stinking cold and miserable hayfever but apart from those niggles everything is great, it just seems that time is going so slowly but it means there are many weeks of spontaneous life left before both our lives revolve around junior! Zipping around the uk over the next couple of months visiting friends before i can't fly and going to the edinburgh festival for the first time. Good luck with the 2ww and i am so with you on the boy shopping lurking being really distracting!

superpenguin go you waiting to Friday, i admire your patience and really hope the line was a line!

bellaby impressed at the bikram, recently i met up with friends in london who were not drinking because they were doing bikram the next day as they said it is hell with a hangover, the thought of all that stranger sweat freaks me out but they did look fantastic for it and said it transformed their shape very quickly.

mrsw i echo halo if you are above the coverline it is all good and the fact it rose once past the cover is positive too!

cavemum the house looked lovely but i understand the sensible deposit saving, that is what we are trying to do and by Christmas all being wee I will be able to tell you if it is possible to survive in a 2 bed victorian terrace with a wee one. Poor little mite's cot is going to have a tardis of a wardrobe beside it but hey at lease we have lovely fireplaces in the bedrooms. DH keeps reminding me that families with lodas of kids managed in these houses and they prob had an outside loo!

aires congrats on popping your list cherry - very scary the first time!

Right i am off to make salads for my gorgeous niece's 2nd birthday bbq.

Ariesgirl · 30/06/2010 17:57

Oh Halo . All men apart from gay ones are shit at shopping! And I'm assuming he's not gay? The standing there awkwardly does my head in too. You can't ask them anything can you? e.g. "Do you like this?" "It's ok." So you put it back. "I never said I didn't like it." "Well you didn't say you liked it either." And so on...After ten years I have given up.

The first part of Mission Aries has been accomplished successfully. Two more days which are much more difficult are to come.

OP posts:
haloflo · 30/06/2010 21:19

aires It really was a rookie mistake wasn't it? Good luck with day's 2 and 3 for Mission Aires.

lucky 16 weeks wow! Am really glad things are going well (bar the cold and hayfever) Sounds like you have fun plans over the summer which i'm sure will make the time go faster. I am the most impatient person in the world so I can imagine how you feel.

oneof8 Thanks again! I was running low and I'm hoping by preparing for the next cycle will prompt the law of sod.

TTC update number 2. Today's OPK was almost positive (the second line was nearly as dark but not quite) so i'm wondering if today was ov day. There was possibly some CM with Spinnbarkeit qualities but I'm not sure. Send sexy vibes this way as I'm not quite sure I can be bothered tonight. Despite this I feel I should warn you all that I will be particually mental this month as I'm feeling it already and I may not even be 1dpo.

MrsWajs · 30/06/2010 21:54

Big sexy vibes to you halo!!! That sounds so wrong!

I'm pretty sure I'm still well above coverline, although I still don't have an ov day on FF so don't have a coverline either but I'm guessing it's round about the 36.3 mark. I'm rising kinda slowly this month, first rise was 36.5ish then stayed that way for about 3 days then a dip to 36.4 then back to 36.5 and then up 0.1 each day for 3 days to my 36.78 then back today to the 36.65, just really wanted it to keep going up!! Feeling very periody today but then again that's been ongoing for the last day or 2 at least. My bloating has gone down a bit and constipation is resolving. Boobs still a wee bit tender but nowt major. I just want it either a) to be Saturday so I know what's happening or b) to have another temp rise tomorro so I can feel more positive again!!

And as you can see by that rambled mess - nope, I'm not doing a very good job of staying sane!!!!

Have to shoot again as DP is getting increasingly annoyed by the amount of time I am spending on laptop these days!! Ooops.

Back to post properly tomorrow when he's at work!!

Just a quick one...
not being patient enough to wait until Friday, I POAS again this morning, and got a still-very-faint-but-definitely-there LINE!

OH MY GOD I THINK I MIGHT BE PREGNANT!!!!!

Too faint to call it a BFP though so am tentatively calling it a STPP (small thin probably positive!)... as not sure I quite believe it yet

will catch up properly later!

CaveMum · 01/07/2010 10:16

Whoop Whoop SP!

Fingers crossed for you!

haloflo · 01/07/2010 10:20
