Ridiculous Symptom Spotting... come on... you know you do...

OK, so since TTC I've thought (or wondered briefly) the following might be signs of being pregnant...

funny rash on my legs - still don't know what this was
three spots on my forehead - I was convinced this was a hormone induced 'breakout' as I don't normally get spots)
General bad mood - turns out I'm just grumpy
crazy dreams
needing a wee
not needing a wee
not liking the smell of coconut - weird
feeling very weepy and sore boobs - hmmm... this could have just been PMS!
stuffy nose

This month I have a massive craving for Mango which I'm normally indifferent to - I am of course CONVINCED that it's my month...

Am desperately trying to hold out till next weekend to test... I need distractions! anyone else had any funny symptoms and wondered if it could be a SIGN?

Cherry that is so confusing,im sure its driving u round the bend,though have you considered that maybe its stress causing your neurotic periods,esp if you're under a lot of stress with the house hunting at the moment.

Im having a nice quiet night on my own as both ds and dp are in bed. i sat and watched marley and me with a tub of ben&jerrys and cried my eyes out-that film is so sad!!

Anyway,cd19 and all is back to normal apart from ive had a sore back all day,feels like the way it does when i've got af.

Last day of work today til 14th june, yipee!! was so ready for the break.

yes very icky seany, got sore throat, feel achey and just no energy, got people coming over and cant be bothered/dont care about tidying and hoovering which is just not like me, so feeling quite sorry for myself. Tried reviving myself with some chocolate but didnt taste nice, tho expect that is down to the sore throat. Just generally feel quite pants tho on the plus side i havent had any pre menstrual cramps. Not sure if the slight bloated tummy is just typical of af being due in a few days. I dont know, I just feel different, wouldnt say i feel pregnant but just different but that may have been due to this cold brewing. At least if i was pregnant i would have an explanation as to why ive been so ditzy lately, I go upstairs for something then come back down without it and it happens nearly every single time!

oh here we go with the sore boobs now, they feel full tho look much the same, cd24 now, its gone quick this month but i get the feeling the next few days will drag...! Feel so rough with this cold

i can't decide if my sore boobs are a pregnancy symptom or a result of me poking them too much to see if they're sore :S and i keep having dreams that i'm pregnant. They're getting crazier though, last night i had a baby elephant :S i worry about my sanity. Any good news? I need some positive thoughts!x

Hi ladies just needed a place to mark my symptoms... 7dpo have felt sick on and off but feel better when I eat, sore boobs on and off but not tingly, CRAMP - have had low down cramp just like period pain all day today and most of yesterday. Creamy/lotiony cm...hmmm I think that's it oh, except for my grumpy mood!! Oh and I think I'm constipated.....

What do you reckon? xx

Hi Decafgirl I have a phenomenally grumpy mood to add to my symptoms at least I hope it is a true symptom cos I'm not sure DH is going to be as understanding otherwise! also slight lower back pain.

must have been a 24 hour virus thingy as so much better today, cold has vanished thank goodness. Had some sharp twinges last night which reminded me of last month which i had before i got pinkish cm then af but non of that so far. I expect af in a couple of days so not long to go now...

this waiting is SO hard. I have 3 pregnancy tests sitting and waiting until it is worthwhile using them!

Alls normal with me for cd21 expect ive been a grumpy bitch today with no energy. just tiredness though so im not reading anything into it.

Oooh decaf i had major constipation when i was pg with ds so thats a good sign!! (obv its not good to be constipated but u know what i mean!)

Ginger what cd are you on? I dont keep any pg tests in the house at all that way i wont be tempted to use them just cause they are there.

Im feeling very laid back this month,think its the impending holiday thats doing it. Speaking of which i have not packed a thing yet lol really need to get round to that soon seeing as we've to be at the airport for 4.30am on weds morning!!

is cd cycle day? well it is day 21 counting from first day of last period. is that cd21? only the first month of ttc #2. It happened second month of trying with ds.

I was looking forward to the next couple of days as i had something to do...that something being looking out for brownish discharge that comes a couple of days before af, of course what i really wanted to do was NOT see it but would regularly check anyway full of smiles each time there was nothing to report and typically its made an appearance just before so took the fun right out of it now as it was my first loo visit to check! Not too disappointed as in my mind im hoping for a spring/summer baby so had my focus on march onwards so my heart just hasnt been in it this month and didnt really try as much as we should have probably in hindsight for that reason, just hope i get more drive back for the next month of trying.

i had some kind of hot flush earlier is that a symptom? I think i'm on cd26 now. But i'm still not sure how long my cycle is yet so i don't know for sure when af is due. Sorry about your af bossyboop! Hope next month is your month. I don't really have a good feeling about this month, i just don't feel pregnant. But i've never been pregnant before anyway so :S

thanks dicegirl, i wasnt sure this month, had heightened sense of smell for a couple of months and feeling queasy with it too so didnt really class that as a symptom any more tho i was off some of my favourite foods so thought that was a possibility. Didnt take any meds when i wasnt well just in case so for that reason i thought i probably wouldnt be after all that suffering!

Still feeling nauseous and now intermittently tingly boobs and aching abdomen. Could it be AF coming early? CD22

CD26 here, avg 28 day cycle. Now have a v strange taste in mouth, constipation and slightly tender breast. I know all could mean something else but I just have a feeling this will be the month for us. I am not testing until the weekend, I don't have any tests in house so hopefully I should be able to hold out.

Bossy, so sorry to hear about AF arriving...hopefully it wont be long til you get your BFP.

Dice... I got hot flush type episodes when I was preg with DS. It made me feel faint and unsteady and ususally started when I was too warm/in a crowded environment. I see we are on same current day. Have you had any other symptoms?

fairybubbles - i've had a lot of headaches the last couple of days. today in particular i've been very dizzy and just quite out of it, and i've had to pee like 4 times in the last 2 hours which is a bit weird! I've just felt generally under the weather today though. Sort of felt like AF may be on it's way earlier so it may just be that, but nothing yet, so we'll see if the nasty cow turns up tomorrow. If not I might have to start getting my hopes up.. :S oh and i have one ever so slightly sore boob! :O

your symptoms are sounding pretty good! plus from what i've heard that "feeling" is right a lot of the time, women's intuition and all that

knittakid - that is me down to a tee. good mood/bad mood, eating more/eating less, peeing more/not peeing enough, dehydrated/over-hydrated... the list goes on :S

gingerwench - sounds promising... i'd say 14DPO is the best time, just incase you are pg but not far enough for it to show on a test. any idea how far past ovulation you are?

*oh, and another thing which I should add which has only really started today. I'm not so much feeling sick, but it's as if there is... uhm... sort of a sicky feeling in the back of my throat. I don't feel as if I'm going to throw up or anything, it's just noticeable.

Anyway I'm done for the night, and am off to sleep. fingers crossed AF stays away! :D

Should ov be felt? I have had the kind of cramps i get when period is coming, which is not very much, but surely ov should go unnoticed?

On top of everything feeling really down... argument with DH, who feels I should do more to turn him on when proposing sex... surely 'give me your swimmers' should do it?... poor thing.

BFN this morning hardly surprising since I think i'm on cd 23 of a 28 day cycle. I'm assuming that is 9dpo but I don't know for sure.

Im actually in a good mood despite having had a furniture disaster and need to make an expensive purchase that i could really do without - on the plus side what i needed to get was discounted and also it will kickstart me into decorating as well, so it means i get to do all the heavy lifting and painting that i couldnt do if i was pregnant, so theres my silver lining! Oh and also got some stuff happening the next couple of months thats going to keep me busy and tired and no its not bd'ing! So also a blessing i dont have the tiredness and nausea of early pregnancy to deal with as well. So lots of happy thoughts taking place here and i just hope the next couple of months are as good as this last month, which involved very little symptom spotting and not as much obsession and thoughts on the matter and the month flew by!

In all honesty i feel like i dont mind if next month isnt successful either - firstly so that i can give birth end of march/beginning of april onwards, better weather for walks and getting the washing out, and many other reasons! But also as I only planned on having 2 children its likely to be the last time i do this so once its done its done, iyswim, so at the mo its still something to look foward to and that feeling you get with a bfp is amazing and once ive had it i probably wont have it again, do i make sense?!

Yes bossyboop it makes sense and you have an admirably sensible attitude. Personally i would rather a late spring baby myself but this month has taught me that I am an awful lot more keen to have a #2 than I thought!
