I have spoken (on that fred). Pity them, BESHes, for they know not what they do

Rhubarb · 16/03/2010 14:05

No bitterness at all ladies! You will not find a single shred of bitterness in the thread I started.

Most of us do not have a clue what BESH or PESH meant - which led me to thinking it was a bit of a clique. At no point has anyone on the thread had a go at the posters or said that threads should not be there. We were questioning the thread titles.

Perhaps threads like these should come with little explanations!

MrsFC · 16/03/2010 14:09

Hi there,

I am a 30 something (actually 39, which is FAR too depressing to contemplate), and I have been lurking a while, loving your lack of babydust quotes (except the one about chopping it into lines - that did appeal to me!)

I have been trying 15 months and had two very very early mc's last year, and have been driving myself crazy symptom spotting, in fact my OH pointed out last month that 'of course your boobs are sore - you keep bloody prodding them!'... Hmmm... Could be he has a point. I'm 8DPO & fell of the POAS wagon last night - ridiculous I know - I should know better... I'm going away on a girls weekend on Fri with lots of wine & so will test early Fri am in a whole 'actually I don't even want to be this month' attitude - hoping the double bluff will work!

Anyway I would love to join your thread - if only to say that I've had that bloody Slade song in my head since the weekend!!!!!!!

Rhubarb · 16/03/2010 14:18

(oh and I'm thirtysomething but definitely NOT trying to conceive)

donttrythisathome · 16/03/2010 14:36

Intruder alert...

laurielou touchingly stalked me to the antenatal March 2010 thread. I started this thread way back in the mists of time...

Hellloooo to anyone who remembers me and those that don't. I have lurked occasionally but haven't really had anything to say.

I managed to get me ancient womb a female lodger who was due for eviction on 1 March. She's still there...15 days overdue now. Booked for induction on Friday. Will let you know if interested!

Thanks for the stalking laurielou - am really touched. And fingers legs and cervix crossed that it will all happen for you and everyone else asap.

xx (or should that be a manly punch on the nose..?)

PollyPoo · 16/03/2010 14:47

MrsFC you sound like you will fit right in here - there is a questionnaire to complete, I think you will find it on the last thread, the butterdish one.

Hello Don't . We haven't met but congratulations on your duffing and I hope you get to meet your baybee very soon!

Now I think there is not enough violence in this place. Karate chops to the back to the neck for all, and pints of raspberry mojitos please bartender.

On another note, I do find it odd that people let such little things piss them off. I don't venture much into the rest of MN (catching up with you lot takes too much time) but I couldn't really give a monkeys arse what other people choose to call their freds.

Ariesgirl · 16/03/2010 14:54

Well well, a hornet's nest has been opened.
Dead legs all round.

Good lick for the birth Don'ttryetc

Ariesgirl · 16/03/2010 14:54

Good lick? That well known phrase? Sounds like the Allo Allo policeman.

RunLyraRun · 16/03/2010 14:56

Hey donttry, I wonder what you are more proud of, spawning the BESH (and PESH) revolution, or having your little girl? Please DO let us know when she arrives, we consider her one of ours! Good luck with the big push.

In a fit of nostalgia, I checked the original thread. Turns out that the anniversary of the Gin Palace opening is 5th April. What kind of party shall we have? Fancy dress? I will coming as a polycystic ovary

RunLyraRun · 16/03/2010 14:58

Just realised 5th April is Easter Monday - what an auspiciously eggy day. So I will be cooking up a range of egg-based treats for the party. Any fancies?

ginhag · 16/03/2010 14:58

Ha hahaha.

rhubarb's post followed by someone wanting to join and to my tiny mind therefore proving unequivocally that lots of people choose not to be put off by our fred titles.

welcome FC!!!!! there is a BESHtionnaire somewhere for you...

Don'tTry I remember you very well indeed luvver (I used to be chunkypudding.) Please PLEASE let us know when you have evicted the lodger

Seriously, we'll be thinking of you. And I shall toast the new arrival with a pint of gin

Ariesgirl · 16/03/2010 14:58

I inserted an erroneous apostrophe

How about coming as a ticking biological clock?

ginhag · 16/03/2010 15:03

I will be3 attending the party dressed as a gin soaked lush.

Oh hang on did you say fancy dress?

Rhubarb · 16/03/2010 15:04

Humph! I thought my post was very nice actually and I was trying to set the record straight.

PollyPoo · 16/03/2010 15:05

I will make a costume for the party - a giant piss stick made of chicken wire and papier mache. Woop woop!

Oooh ooh oooh I just had a thought , Scorpette and moi are planning a little mini BESHfest at Easter. All those eggs - it must be auspiciously surely?

ginhag · 16/03/2010 15:07

Know you were Rhubarb and sorry for the evil sniggering, it was just a well timed entrance from FC

I'm nice really.

MrsFC · 16/03/2010 15:17

Thank you for having me y'all! I'm off with my raspberry mojito find my questionnaire now...

PollyPoo · 16/03/2010 15:21

Oh FFS - *auspicous.

RunLyraRun · 16/03/2010 15:21

Pooface I meant to say earlier, will be crossing my fingers that all goes swimmingly for your sis, I'm sure you're all on tenterhooks.

Another BESHfest sans moi? I think all the other Northern BESHes are now PESHes

PollyPoo · 16/03/2010 15:22

Fanks Lyra. Not sure where you are, but I think we are meeting in Nottingham - is that far enough norf for you to join?!

RunLyraRun · 16/03/2010 15:26
ginhag · 16/03/2010 15:30
PollyPoo · 16/03/2010 15:30

I know it is not The North but didn't want you to feel left out. Is Nottingham too far for a day-trip? Cos we are worth it

ginhag · 16/03/2010 15:31

egt = get obv
