Um, here's a slightly yucky question - do you have to have EWCM when you ov? And would there be any conceivable reason (pardon the rubbish pun) why you would never have the remotest twinge from your left side but you do often from the right side? Might I only have one side working? And if that were the case, then can you just produce eggs every month from the same ovary, because they mature there and then are released? OK, that was more than one question. All suggestions gratefully received and would also be interested to know whether we were tiredly shagging for nothing.

Aries old salt, I've only ever had OV pain in my right side. I've had internal scans (for suspected ovarian cysts) and there was nowt wrong with either side, so I'm assuming monosided ovulatory discomfortification is usual. Plus, I Googled it, which confirmed. HAH!

I do find sometimes I am FLOODED with FFJ and sometimes not. There doesn't seem to be any reason or rhyme. And there is no link between FFJ and OV pain (ie I can get lots of OV pain and FFJ, then the next cycle no OV pain and even more FFJ).

Hope this helps BUT I SUSPECT IT DOESN'T.

Still here Aries, I only ever have Ov pains (mittelschmerz) and period pains and any other 'feminine twinge' on the left. HeadyLemarr, am glad to read wot you said about Googling it - in my even more menkul moments I've worried that I was born with one ovary or some such shit. This is cos it's what a Dr 'helpfully' suggested when I asked why I only ever had pain on one side. I too worry if only one side works and if so, have I therefore run out of viable eggs and am I now only popping out genetically-flawed postwar powdered egg.

My FFJ is different each month. BUT all the experts agree that you actually need it to help Teh Spermz swim to their eggy goal. Even if none comes out, there'll prolly be enough high up inside. Or use Preseed - it really is the biz.

Aries the only relevant thing I can think of (well,sort of relevant ish) is that I learnt from the whole ectopic thing that with that,if you have one-sided pain it doesn't neccessarily mean that the side with pain is the site of the ectopic. SO (dons glasses,tries to look a bit bright) I would conclude from this that our bodies are tricksy and can do some Very Misleading Things.

poo yes, the milk did help my chilli hand. Twas the only thing that did. Tried cold water, handcream, washing up liquid & rubbing hands in salt (the boyf had to google "Ouch! I've had a chilli mishap" to find these cures). Twasn't funny! (To be fair the boyf laughed until it was time to go to bed on a school night & I was still hopping around, going to the bathroom every 5 mins to soak hand in cold water. Hence googling).

Why is it that in years gone by I'd be delighted to only be on CD19 & that the droid wasn't due for ages. Now I want to get to the end of my cycle as soon as I can to see if droid appears or not. Kind of shouting "C'MON THEN!!"
