MrsFC - I'm not yet a proper BESH but I think your answers are probably top notch.

Rhubarb · 16/03/2010 19:01

Anytime you want a mention girls, just shout!

CockDodger · 16/03/2010 19:21

Hi guys!

I think MrsFC should be permitted to stay. She's funny . Like, as if I can decide that sort of thing [self-importance emoticon].

Its decision day today - t'missis is out visiting donor's partner to get the go-ahead - or not (we'll have to wait and see).

If she says yes, we try to get me pregnant (not missis - we've gone as far as we can go with no medical assistance) in less than two week's time.

If she says no, its back to the drawing board yet again! Wish me luck. I'll be at the bar lining 'em up to calm me nerves.

Just one question - is it wrong for me to be scared shitless and thinking I'll be a crap mother after I've said for so long that this is definitely what I want?

Ariesgirl · 16/03/2010 19:24

GOOOOOOOOOD LUUUUUUUUUCK. Mwah.

As for the last question, I think it's entirely natural and you'd be more unusual if you didn't.

Am pleased with your name-change-back by the way.

MrsFC · 16/03/2010 19:43

Ooh - thanks for letting me stay. Brill.

cockd, lots of luck, hoping for a yes for you. And no not at all wrong to be scared - I think being scared is all part of the process - that is what makes the best parents I reckon.

I'm off to eat Malteasers & not think about the FR stick I have glowing in a drawer upstairs.

Medee · 16/03/2010 19:50

excellent answers, MrsFC, though there is a rogue apostrophe in there. We are BESH and grammar nazis.

CockDodger · 16/03/2010 19:52

Thanks, you guys.

MrsFC - are you on the 2WOOFL then? If so, how many days of mentalness do you have left? Or is it just constant?

Ooooh, Malteasers. Thanks.

Cokie · 16/03/2010 20:13

Just popping in to say hi and Aries we were in Notts at the same time - me 1993-1997. Apparently there was supposed to be 5 wimmin to every one man but I think the men folk new this so all flocked there. I am a northerner that dwells in that London now, it was all those bright lights that lured me.

CockDodger · 16/03/2010 20:19
Ariesgirl · 16/03/2010 20:21

Blimey, they're all coming out of the woodwork. What course or would that be Revealing Yourself? I thoroughly noticed the lack of talent and even worse was put in an all-girls' hall in first year. Though that did have advantages such as being able to slob down to breakfast in pyjamas. Re the North/South divide, I came from over the Severn so need take no further part in that debate!

MrsFC · 16/03/2010 20:38

Oh no medee, I am certainly doomed - I have much careless apostrophe use - Im known for it. Who knew MN could also help my education as well as my doomed soul?!

cockd Yup - on the 2WOOFL, due on the 22nd, so gonna test on Friday. I'm going for a boozy weekend away with the girls & I'm hoping the double bluff might work for me this month... I have been boob prodding since last week - they were definitely sorer this morning, then remembered I'd done Body Pump yesterday. Dammit.

Normally I don't share chocolate, but as I'm new & trying to make a good impression I'll let you get away with it this time.

I was a Gloucester girl & now live in London, South good, North, a little scary & unknown... Didn't Torvill & Dean come from Nottingham?

CockDodger · 16/03/2010 20:43

Ah yes, MrsF - I realise now that you said all that in your previous post, which I duly ignored.

[Self-obsessed emoticon]

ginhag · 16/03/2010 20:44

FC welcome to the coven ginpalace. I especially like the answer to question 9)....flattery is always welcome round here.

cock I also am pleased you got the old name back. And bloody hell good luck mate. And also no,terror is entirely appropriate. As mentioned many times in the past, I have a kid and still find myself in knots sometimes. Children are scary! (I'm saying this as the evil witch who just got a bit wound up and shouty with the small one. Earth mother my arse. Loves 'i'm tho I does.)

by the way, I really don't think I've had enough sympathy re nearly cutting my thumb off n rubbing chilli in the wound. Heartless bastards.

Oh,I'm having my first 2WOOFL since the last mc (erk)

CockDodger · 16/03/2010 20:56

Poor ginhag - I did cringe when I read about it. It sounds awful. But you don't get that much sympathy because you have also fallen foul of the apostrophe rules.

Now, go stand in the corner with your hands on your head.

And leave your drink behind!

ginhag · 16/03/2010 21:06

Oh fuck off

I'm typing on an iPhone with a bandaged thumb. And plus I think Extreme Grammar rules are somewhat silly on t'internet as typos abound when we post in haste, all excited about our banter.

And anyone who takes umbrage at this can kiss my ar'se

ginhag · 16/03/2010 21:13

Plus I can't actually see where I committed the alleged sin....

Ocarina · 16/03/2010 21:16

Owch, that sounds proper nasty Gin. Hammer would probably have been less yucky. Is it distracting you from 2WOOFLing?

Aries and Cokie you both predate me at Nottingham - I was 1998-2001, I'm a babyBESH and took a year out before I went. Managed to avoid the all girls halls by staying in a flat instead.

Cocky really hope everything gets sorted with your donor. The scared bit sounds somewhat familiar, I think not being at least a bit daunted by the whole thing would be more worrying. Nosy question so feel free to ignore, but is the plan that your donor will be involved in the kid's life?

Welcome MrsFC, congratulations on finding the test! The north's not that scary you know.... I've got family from down Gloucester way and tend to come out with a very bad west country accent if I'm talking to people from that bit of the world, which sounds like I'm mocking them but just comes from years of hearing my Mum acquire a stronger accent whenever she talks to her rellies.

CockDodger · 16/03/2010 21:29

PMSL @ gin

OKsauce - nope donor won't be involved. He won't be on the birth cert either, but he's a really good friend, so will be around and well known to little Horatio/Gertrude as the person who helped us to have a family.

Missis should be home soon to tell me whether we can have his jizz or not.....

Ocarina · 16/03/2010 22:29

Hope she's now home with good news.....

PollyPoo · 16/03/2010 22:33

CockRing really hope you get good news tonight.

In other news, lil sis has been induced! How am I sposed to sleep now?!

CockDodger · 16/03/2010 22:42

So, its a yes!

Oh, shit. Now its all real again and I might actually have to go through with it.

Pooh hope your sister is ok and the little one too. Not long now....

PollyPoo · 16/03/2010 22:55

Yay, CockD that is fab news, I'm reet chuffed for ya.

Woo hoo - tequila slammers all round to celebrate!

Muser · 16/03/2010 23:19

Yay! CockDodger is going to win a baybee!

OP posts:
Ariesgirl · 17/03/2010 08:01

That must be a relief Dodger especially after she had her wobbles. The game is afoot.

How's your sis getting on Muser?

ginhag · 17/03/2010 08:10

Great news cock! now stop hiding under the table and have a lovely pint of wine with me.
