So a slightly lighter and less scary thread for those who are chucking away the pills and the condoms and hoping for the best!

Yep. I appear to pregnant.

PrivetDancer · 13/03/2010 08:53

CONGRATS! - you can join me on the November babies ante-natal group thread!

PrivetDancer · 13/03/2010 13:44

Thanks tanmu! See you there

30andMerkin · 14/03/2010 19:00

Congratulations!

BrassicaBabe · 14/03/2010 19:35

Congrats Privet 30 I'm still here.

Want to talk details to someone.... After nasty mood all week (PMT?) I've had hideous AF like cramps, enough to keep me awake, but no AF except a small brown smear. (Desperately waiting for AF to return after pill taking.) Does anyone know what this is all about?

pipistrello · 14/03/2010 19:41

This is first one post-pill you're waiting for, isn't it? When I came off the pill, things were definitely not the pattern I'd had before it (heavy start and light finish basically swapped over). And there was weird smearing and spotting all over the shop.

Or you could be...? :-)

ilovetochat · 14/03/2010 19:49

is there anyone left or are you all pregnant? congratulations!
ive had a proper period last month after coming off the pill so this is the first month when i feel like there has been a chance of pregnancy and i feel a bit scared and a bit worried it might take ages.
also ttc isnt easy with a 2 yr old, she gets up before 7 and wears me out.

frakkinaround · 15/03/2010 04:55

I'm still hoping for the blimming AF to return, although maybe I should test?

Blimey I hope not actually as have only been taking folic acid 2 weeks and skipped condoms a couple of times and haven't actually had a normal cycle yet. Bugger.

Pipi Is bleeding and cramps a pg sign?!

It's all too much for me! Quite confusing!

pipistrello · 15/03/2010 19:48

Hmm, maybe not. Though I don't think it rules it out. Though I also have no clue about anything. You poor thing with the cramps though. Is there someone you can snarl at before retreating to bed with a book and hot water bottle?

ilovetochat · 15/03/2010 20:03

i cant remember the folic acid, i remember about twice a week, must do better just in case.

BrassicaBabe · 16/03/2010 08:41

Morning all. ilovetochat set a reminder on your mobile to take your folic acid.

I think what I've got is just AF. Still got cramps and only v light bleeding. So working on a 28 day cycle, we'll "got for it" this month. We are allowed to count days on this thread aren't we?!

pipistrello · 16/03/2010 11:20

I think counting days is probably just allowed.

I, on the other hand, was quite tempted to take my temperature the other day, which is maybe a step too far

frakkinaround · 16/03/2010 17:50

Yes you can count days but none of this 'avoid until cd11 and have sex 5 times a day for 5 days, 6 if it's a full moon and then symptom spot until cd21 and start taking first response tests morning and night rubbish'.

I started the thread so I make the rules, right?

No, seriously, the most important thing is no stressing and proceduralising, just keep shagging! It would be nigh impossible not to count and of course you want to be making extra efforts round your fertile time but a healthy sex life is what's going to get you knocked up.

OP posts:
BrassicaBabe · 16/03/2010 22:42

Yep frakkin you get to make the rules. I reckon we reserve the right to tweak them in times of desperation, only to be bought down to earth with a wet kipper to the chops?

So no hanging man-bits out of the car window to let the air flow through them then?!

Knackered, but hellish busy day at work and now I can't wind down. Using G&T and a catch up with Sky+ as an aid!

frakkinaround · 17/03/2010 02:20

We're here to keep you grounded if you get too tempted, wet kippers and all.

OP posts:
OnlyWantsOne · 17/03/2010 19:26

well frakinaround you will be happy to hear that DP and I did lots of healthy shagging this weekend

(infact, I thought I was broken on Sunday night - thank god he's gone back to work)

LOL...
sorry, this is allowed isnt it?

Any hoo, I kinda thought using the old Mumsnet ovulation calculater that friday - mon just gone was my most fertile time so we made the most of it LOL...

Oo... and I could kinda tell, if you know what I mean cringe that I ovulated over the weekend.

Can we mention mucus and stuff on here ?

any way - now I need your advice old wise and bendy ones, today - which would be about 3 days post last serious bonk, Ive had a smear of blood on a tissue, bright pink - and no more... implantation?

(please stop me from symptom spotting)

pipistrello · 18/03/2010 14:52

No idea, owo. Sounds reasonable enough to me that it could be that. Or maybe he did actually break you, which would be fairly impressive going!

BrassicaBabe · 19/03/2010 12:36

Hmm, this ttc could send one seriously bonkers. I know we're just shagging. but I'm already counting dates and stuff. Mind you, first AF in months has meant a week of absinence , so maybe it's just that

pipistrello · 19/03/2010 17:39

I know! But maybe it's ok if we're just counting for fun/interest. frakkin , can we have a ruling?

AF on the way out here, so was planning a weekend of shagging. And housework, as the place is a tip, and it will be more bearable (and DP will complain less) if it's interspersed with sex
.

ilovetochat · 19/03/2010 20:05

oh i feel sicky and achy, think AF on its way, never mind.

BrassicaBabe · 20/03/2010 16:30

Ah yes, feeling much calmer. A good "session" seems to have done the trick
We're not even in the SWI window yet

takethatlady · 21/03/2010 19:05

Can I join?

I took the first of my last packet of pills today. Can't stop until mid-April because of getting full maternity leave payments (boring and complicated), so I'm a bit early to be on here.

But this thread seems pretty good to me. Let's just I'm a teensy bit impatient . Though I'm usually a disorganised nightmare, I might also enjoy planning a little bit more than is healthy. There's nothing I like more than a chart. So I need you to keep me away from the thermometers and ovulation kits before I become totally unbearable!

ilovetochat · 21/03/2010 20:12

hi takethatlady, the packet will soon be gone .
step away from the charts
