I didnt realise periods started so soon!! I better get myself prepared as not had one in 8 years!! DH has not even put day for overtime (which is very unusual) so he can look after me as he put it he can remember the 'devestation' of the last one with the grumps and the tears.

Oh they don't necessarily NewMrsCharles. Mine have been reappearing over the last year or so, so I expect that it should just continue to come on cue now that the iud is out. But if yours hasn't been there for 8 years, it may take a bit longer!

Ok, so following all your advice i did a test this morning and... BFP!

I don't think i was really that surprised as i think i already knew, but was delaying actually finding out as i didnt want to know for sure - if that makes sense!

Now definitely having some "gulp - what have we done!!" moments today.

Haven't tested yet-still no red witch, but I feel as if she is just round the corner..although swear I had a metal taste yesterday. Would do it in work, but work in hospital so don't want whole world to know!! Have cheapie ready & waiting at home-will pick up some more on way home, in case bfn. If red witch still not here come Monday, can test again then..don't want to tell DH in case he gets his hopes up...

Ah, roll on home time today....bit worried if it is a bfp -sister in law & family r down this w/e & she's a midwife-worried she would guess...prob worried over nothing tho!

I'm in full swing (if that's the right word). It's really hot over here so let's just say there aren't a lot of clothes being worn at night which is making things a lot ...erm ... easier ;)

I like the idea of just calling periods periods. Not calling them what they are reminds me of my mum asking me as a teenager in a shushed voice if I was 'on' and me thinking 'Does she mean have I got my period?'

(I got a BFN and am feeling suspiciously knackered and irritable tonight, so I guess I'm due for my period (notice the use of 'period' ladies!). Just had to try really hard not to have a tantrum because I couldn't find an onion ... I would feel bad about it, except I then found it on the bathroom floor. The kitchen is not very far from the bathroom so it's not as weird as it sounds, but still! DH has been home watching the world cup and professes ignorance. I suspect the onion substituted for a football at some stage in his preparations for the game )
