fairy its a nightmare hun, are they waiting 7-10days to see what happens? I know they say at 5-6wks its harder to see heartbeat etc, are they doing bloods to check the hormone levels? They continuously rise when your pregnant x

womanlytales · 18/05/2010 08:59

Thank you Clure - Shall wait a week.

Ladybird10 · 18/05/2010 19:44

Hi All

Wlcome Miffles sounds like you may not be ovulating with such short cycles, if i was you i would go to the doctor and tell them that you have been trying longer and tell them about your short cycles, i'm sure you will be put on clomid, they say you shouldn't see a doctor till 12 months but i went at 10 months but pretended it had been 12. Good Luck

Womanly hope this is your month and af stays away. Keep us updated.

Hope your ok fairy, hope the bean is still there and you are pg.

Stac i had a look on your profile, quite a big bump you have, bet it feels great

Hi to everyone else

Clure · 18/05/2010 20:02

popsy1 · 19/05/2010 15:28

Hi all.

Pictures are wonderful Stac it must feel amazing.

Fairy how are you feeling?

miffles i echo what others have said. Welcome and telling the docs a little white lie never hurt anyone!

I went to the hospital today for CD 20 scan, (saw the horrid blonde nurde Lady ) My follicle has collapsed which is good news, although not sure if we BD on enough Oh well, the start of the 2ww and bloods on Monday.

Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine
xx

stac14 · 19/05/2010 17:03

hi ladies clure lady and popsy it does feel amazing, just struggling with pubic dysfunction but only have 8 weeks until she is here as i am having a cesarean section so not long.

popsy glad it went well at the hospital and remember it only takes one shot at the swings to get there.

fairy how are you hun?

Hope everyones good x

Miffles · 20/05/2010 18:31

Thanks for advice. I'm worried that they'll say I've only been off the pill 5 months and it takes longer than that to come out of my system (I was only on ut 4 years though). And have been very stressed. But it'll do no harm to try and get the ball rolling.

Out of interest - what is the process? Are there lots of tests and scans and things that need to be done (my sister and mum both had PCOS, so I suspect I may have it too) or can the dr just write out a prescription?

popsy - what's this about a follicle collapsing? I was about to commiserate with you, but you seem pleased!

Ladybird10 · 20/05/2010 20:03

Oh Popsy i really don't like that blonde nurse, she is so moody and hardly says anything unless you ask her something. She makes me feel like i'm an inconvenience, maybe she just doesn't like her job.
I know i haven't bd enough this month but not to fussed as have iui coming up.

Miffles i was on the pill for 9 years and my periods returned straight away, it sounds like you may have pcos, i think the doctor should be more willing to help you as you haven't had a period for so long. I had scans and blood tests and a laporoscopy to see if my tubes are clear, we are in the unexplained bracket as all the tests have come back fine, it might just be that you need clomid to help you get pg.

Care how are you? have you had your laporoscopy yet?

Hi to everyone else, i'm loving the sunshine, ttc is alot nicer in the summer months that in dreary winter

popsy1 · 20/05/2010 21:41

Lady shes really patronising. We also felt like we were wasting her time! We asked her a question and she replied that we hadnt had much experience of the treatment and to expect changes to my body in a patronising manner. I replied this is my 7th month, plus 9 previous months!!! Silly cow. BOOOO her!!

Miffles your comment made me giggle, because thats how i felt the first time the nurse told me my follicle had collapsed When/if you have scans whilst on clomid they monitor the size of your follicles from approx CD7. I had one grow over a weekish and then its collapses. This is good because this is when the follicle releases the egg (ovulation)to meet the sperm (HOPEFULLY). Need to have blood test Monday to check there was an egg in the follicle.Hope that makes sense. Pretty tired so its probably just waffle!!

Ladybird10 · 23/05/2010 19:52

Popsy how can she say you haven't had much experience of the treatment, what a joke! Actually she is a joke.

It's quiet on here, everyone must be enjoying the sun, i certainly have been. Been topping up my tan loving the bbq weather

xx

Fairygodmother1 · 23/05/2010 20:34

popsy1 · 23/05/2010 21:45

It certainly is quiet. But isnt the sun fab?Hope its like this for half term.
lady She also questioned the doctor giving us some more clomid when we have already had 6 months as its not ' a drug you can keep on taking!'. She irritated dh which is saying something. He is the calmer out of the 2 of us
Right lady a clue as to where i live.
I live in a sporty town!

Fairy i am so sorry hun. How are you feeling? Have you had a defo confirmation now? Sending hugs your way xx

Hi to everyone else. Off to finish watching Micheal Buble.

xx

Ladybird10 · 23/05/2010 22:53

fairy i'm sorry it didn't stick. Hopefully ivf will happen soon

xx

stac14 · 24/05/2010 16:29

popsy what a cheeky cow! The nerve to question what you have been through

Hey all, hope your all well x

Fairygodmother1 · 24/05/2010 19:55

Hi ya,

Stopped bleeding & negative test. Haven't chased my bloods just yet. Also thinking about contacting new hosp about IVF as they thought a scan was missing but I know it wasn't & cons was making sure they knew that.

Sporty towns - I obviously don't live near as I couldn't even guess at that...my town likes to pretend it's sporty lol!

mummyjo1 · 25/05/2010 18:06

Hello all hope your all enjoying the sun. Just a quick question when on clomid did AF come at about the same time every cycle or did she tend to come and go as she pleased?

Fairygodmother1 · 25/05/2010 20:32

mummyjo mine came on or about 28 days which was a vast improvemnet on what it was before!!!! Does that help?

OP posts:
popsy1 · 26/05/2010 20:17

Hi all, hows your week going?

lady how bizarre that we live in the same town. Wonder if we know each other

mummyjo my cycles varied from between 31 and 39 days. Which like fairy said is a massive improvement on the approx 2 Afs a year before clomid.

CD27 for me. Called for my progesterone results and they say it looks like i havent ovulated as its only 26, although the bloods could have been done on the wrong day. They are going to scan me again next month to check things again.
2 more get ups til half term
xx

Fairygodmother1 · 28/05/2010 21:06

Hi all,

Been told that I can't have IVF till I get dowm to BMI29. Don't know why I wasn't told that, or given help to lose the weight seen as my major symptom of PCOS is the fact that no matter what diet I do I can't seem to lose it!!!!! AAARRRGGGHHHH!

What are people up to this 1/2 term?

OP posts:
popsy1 · 29/05/2010 12:58

This thread is sooo quite now. You ladies must all be busy bees

Its soul destroying at times isnt fairy? I completely sympathise as i also struggle to keep my weight down. I am currently at weight watchers to try and help me. I have never been offered any help from the doctors, just told to loose it!! easier said than done.
CD30 for me and feel AF is on its way

No real plans for half term, except catching up with friends and watching Sex in the city 2 how bout you?

xx

Ladybird10 · 29/05/2010 14:58

Hi All

Popsy i don't think we would know each other as you said you are a teacher and i don't know any teachers apart from the ones from high school but i left there 11 years ago. Wonder if we live in the same part of the town? That would be spooky
I'm on cd28, doesn't feel like af is on the way but never usually does, it sneaks up on me the day before.
Didn't the hospital say they thought you hadn't ovulated the month you you fell pg? So they could be wrong again.

Fairy that's crap about having to get down to bmi29, will that be much to loose or not? I've heard so many good things about weight watchers and how people loose weight easier on that diet.

xx

popsy1 · 29/05/2010 18:40

Lady my hubby said my clue wasnt specific enough. Although the clues he said were far too masculineLets make a pact that when we both have our beautiful babies that we will meet for lunch and introduce our babies. How do you feel about that?

Yes they CRM said i didnt ov the month i fell pg. I pray that i am pg but maybe a little wishful thinking with the first month back on clomid! fingers are firmly crossed.

How long is your cycle normally?

Hope everyone else is well.

xx

Fairygodmother1 · 29/05/2010 23:24

Lady I say I'm BMI 32 but IVF peeps have said BMI34!!! So not much but the equivalent to a stone!

I'm wondering whether the cons may give me another couple of months of clomid????

Have no idea where am this cycle with all the bleeding thats happened. I'm just gonna get the Low GI diet underway & then go back to pin pointing ov.

weirdly weight watchers makes me put on the weight...I'm just a very odd person!!!!! Pops it is much easier said than done. Not only do I have PCOS to contend with, I've also got genetics to contend with! Both my sister & mum are heavier (and shorter) than me. My dad is short & round. My brother is tall but a physical job means he aint small. Both sides of my family have overweight people!!!! I'm lucky I'm 5ft 6!!!!

Whats everyone up to this weekend???

xx

Ladybird10 · 30/05/2010 19:03

popsy i thought your clue was quite specific, unless i got it wrong. Ok my clue would be that we had an asda built here last year which is next to a doctors surgery. Bit of a stupid clue but hey ho lol. That would be a lovely idea about going for lunch and introducing our gorgeous babies. Lets hope we get lucky soon hey. We need some more bfp on here soon.
My cycles are uually 30/31 days.

fairy a stone isn't to much to loose. Hope you will get there. I would ask for some more clomid.

Xxx
