Hello everyone - I am hoping that this is a lucky thread too. Would love to have a Nov baby as I am one and my DD was born a week after DH's b'day so it would make everything balanced.
That and I have been TTC for a long time (2 yrs in March since we stopped using anything but discovered I have prolactinoma post BFing DD hence first period Sept 09).
First period post mc is still weird as I am starting and stopping and very light. But anyway at least it has come, so addictedtomn I will be joining you soon bding with my DH.
Good luck to everyone, I am feeling very positive for us all.

livviloo · 26/01/2010 19:06

Cazzr · 26/01/2010 20:02

Just sneaking in at the back after a month off trying, due to illness.. Fingers crossed it's a lucky bus as don't fancy the idea of getting on the December bus, my family has enough birthdays around christmas as it is!

queenfee Agnus castus is a herb, sometimes also called vitex, that, taken as a supplement helps to regulate your hormones and can sort out irregular cycles or help you regain AF if hormones messed up by breastfeeding. Google it for loads of info!

FelicityFlick · 27/01/2010 00:33

Hi livviloo, on my macbook the # is on the number 3. Is yours the same?

Hope everyone is well today (am not in UK so am 8 hours ahead of you all, not posting at ridiculous times in the middle of the night!)

Any other Agnus Castus success stories? This is something I might try.

Hope you are all sleeping soundly while I am just about to start work- you lucky things!

aideesmum · 27/01/2010 11:20

Hi all,

Have updated for today and added myself, hope you don't mind. I'm not counting which cycle as it only depresses me . I bring chocolates...

ILoveGregoryHouse · 27/01/2010 11:49

Hi Felicity, I've been taking Agnus Castus. Good for regulating cycles and possibly helpful for short luteal phases. I've been taking it for three months CD1-14. Am giving it a rest this month, though cos it repetas on me and makes me feel vom! Am sticking to high dose B6 (100mg), though and am trying our raspberry leaf to see if that'll help my uterine lining. I think I'm conceiving but can't hold on to it iyswim. If Nov not my month, I'll be back on it for December after I've got some "pure" vitex from the UK when I'm back for a visit next month (currently getting mine as a Solgar herbal supplement along with dong quai and black cohosh, not sure if i need those..)

FelicityFlick · 27/01/2010 12:49

Thanks ILove GregoryHouse- I am going to look into getting some. Might have to try and order online as I am not in UK- are you not either? Whereabouts are you?

How is everyone else today?

CommonNortherner · 27/01/2010 13:01

I'm taking the plunge! Unsure of the abbreviations. Is UCL your cycle length and CD... er.. days after period? What does cd actually stand for?

ds wasn't planned so this is all new to me!

And please tell me I don't have to say baby dancing!!

ILoveGregoryHouse · 27/01/2010 13:13

Am in Bahrain. Unfortunately. Normally love it but am homesick at the moment. Easy to get Solgar and GNC supplements here, though. Nothing like Holland & Barrett, though, one of my fave shops after John Lewis and Thorntons.

FelicityFlick · 27/01/2010 13:29

I feel the same ILGH, I am in HK and usually love it but am homesick too. Have lots of friend's weddings coming up and not sure if I can make it back for them which makes me feel homesick so I understand how you feel. I have just ordered some Agnus Castus online- Thanks of the info!

CommonNortherner- I can't bring myself to say that either! CD = Cycle Day and UCL= Usual Cycle Length.

QueenFee · 27/01/2010 14:50

I prefer SWI to bding! More me somehow

Thanks for the info on angus cactus will google when pc back up and running.

smallblackflowers · 27/01/2010 16:50

Hello all and welcome to the newbies.
ILGH have just started taking 100mg Vit B this cycle in addition to the agnus castus as my luteal phase is on the short side with spotting from about 8dpo.
FelicityFlick very about you being in HK - I grew up there and would love to go back.

livviloo · 27/01/2010 20:08

felicityflick thanks for the macbook tip, I found the # but I have to change the keyboard to US to find it above the 3!

what is SWI (other than same as Baby dancing) I am so new to all of this

FelicityFlick · 28/01/2010 01:16

livvilooWow- I didn't know that you could change the keyboard! Mine must be automatically set to US as I don't have a pound sign anywhere which upsets me greatly!

Thanks for the welcome Smallblackflowers- everyone is so friendly on here. HK is great but I do miss home sometimes, have to remind myself that day to day I much prefer it here and it is the just the special occasions like weddings and birthdays etc when I feel like I am missing out. It must have been amazing to grow up here!

SWI= shagging with intent

It's nearly the weekend out here. Got DS1 at home with cough so he can entertain DS3. Off to play tennis now. Trying to keep my endorphins up so I can keep my mood out of the toilet. Not sure I can deal with this ttc - turns me into an obsessive loon.

addictedtomn · 28/01/2010 08:47

GRRRR i am sick of the never ending circle. you get your period, it ends, you SWI, you symptom spot, your period turns up, it ends, you SWI, etc, etc.

i really, really would like a break from my period, i just want it to stop for a while so i can breathe, then i am quite happy for it all to return.
i am just so sick of being a woman.

why dont men go through a cycle? instead they just die when they get a cold, and everything has to come to a standstill so we can dote on them to make sure they get better. but hey, my period cramps and aches aren't nearly as bad as your mild headache.

addictedtomn · 28/01/2010 08:48

i didnt mean for that to be as ranty as it was. sorry

livviloo · 28/01/2010 13:34

Right then "this month I'll be mostly SWI".

hmm that is better.
