Hi all, old and new, this is the thread where all moaning, pieces of tmi, discussions and virtual cups of tea and biscuits come together to keep us sane .. or at the least insane together!

Hi Ladies,
Just checking in for a minute - whew - I guess it's my fault that I had to catch up on 6 pages.

Yea boodlebean! Soooo glad boodle that everythings going great.

mrsgazebo, my dh tried to throw our 8week scan picks in the garbage THE DAY WE FOUND THE MMC OUT. I just said NOOO! an hid em away. He explained that he felt angry and really just wanted to "turn the page". Ya know, men are just different and deal with it differently.

meita hope things take a turn up and you feel better.

welcome newbies!!!

TFLS and lee...wtf? NOW I'm hoping for BFPs - but NO pressure.

LeeWT · 21/01/2010 08:34

I didnt test yesterday coz i was so tired of seeing bfns, this morning got faint line on a cheapy so used a first response and there it was.

Freaking. out.

Lee (screams very quietly YAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!!!!!!)..... you must be on the ceiling.... .

Hopefully · 21/01/2010 09:03

Congrats! So pleased for you. Will avoid shouting so as not to freak you out further. Would you like to do the honours of graduating yourself?

I should hypothetically be OVing in the next day or two, but who knows for this cycle. Will continue to play it by ear and SWI on a regular basis!

Must must must do some work today. I have the bestest job ever (for me) and I am being completely lazy about it

boodleboot · 21/01/2010 09:48

yay.....lee that is awesome news.....i cannot believe it woooohooohoohoohoo....

Hopefully · 21/01/2010 09:56

You notice lee was the one to start the thread? I am ready to fight anyone who wants to take starting the next thread away from me!

SarahMumtoAlex · 21/01/2010 10:15

wonderful news lee all that waiting was worth it. All my good thoughts to you

boodleboot · 21/01/2010 10:26

actually hopefully this thread is three volumes old and was originally started by totallyandutterlypaninied who is nearly ready to deliver her baby after her original MC that started the thread.....lotta history here you know......

meita i posted very briefly on the grads thread.....dipped my toe in so to speak, but don't want to tempt fate too mcuh....it freaks me out that i started the grads thread back in august and have only just made it back on.....was so full of optimism then, this time i am much more cautious! When is your twelve wk scan?

thanks for all your congrats girls, it was a very special moment yesterday....really hoping for some plain sailing now....boobs are like watermelons and starting to really feel sick.....am kind of getting used to the tiredness....just always shattered, making sure i get to bed early etc....foodwise i am just eating what i fancy at the moment as nausea making most things yuk...crumpets and rice pudding seem to be helpng....

TFLS don't give up with the preseed....i swear it helps....at least you don't have to force yourself to enjoying BD'ing....xxx

VivClicquot · 21/01/2010 10:35

A big massive yay for Lee. I definitely think this thread is on a roll - we must be averaging 2 or 3 BFPs a month at the moment.

Meita · 21/01/2010 10:38

ooooooh lee!!! How fab!

I suppose you were right about ovulating late then. If you ovulated on CD23 then BFP on CD 38 sounds about right!
When you make an early scan appointment, I would suggest that you explain to them very carefully that although it's been 5 and a bit weeks since your LMP you're not that far along yet. I mean, they would give you an earlier early scan if they went by the LMP, but chances are that it would simply be too early to see anything, and it would just get you needlessly worried. But that's really up to you.

I know you weren't really TTC and would have preferred to wait a bit... but now that it has happened, I guess you are not too sad about it? How's your DH dealing with it?

Sending you lots and lots of sticky thoughts!

Cheepz · 21/01/2010 10:42

oh lee that is so brilliant, 3rd times a charm hoping it will be for me too, will be so good to see you back on the grads list where you should be with Boods ...

MrsGazebo · 21/01/2010 10:48

Oh Lee that's fantastic news!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agree with Hopefully with the starting of a new thread, that, and I'm going to make an extra special effort to tell POAS ad's,
smug boots to "Fuck off!" every opportunity I get
Might Sky+ it,and do 20 mins each day and a bit of SWI thrown in for good measure.

TFLS thanks for virtual choccies, MrG needs a few gaps in his selection box filling

Thanks for the input about your DH's Zayja
Strange beings aren't they!
That's why it's left to us clever ladies to manage all these lovely hormones, carry beans
and come out the other side.
He's more than made up for it, I feel bad that I made him feel so thoughtless when he's not.
We're going out tonight
Hmmmmmmm... where am I in my cycle?

LucyT66 · 21/01/2010 10:58

Hi there. I am a newbie. I created a new message but someone kindly suggested I should join the lovely bunch here.
I miscarried on 19th November at 8 weeks. It was relatively uncomplicated (though I know that sounds like an oxymoron!) I've had two periods since - on 19th December and 21st January. But, bizarrely, I have none of the normal pre-menstrual symptoms. Usually in the days leading up to my period, my boobs ache and i have bad cramp, but these two times there's been nothing. I was just wondering if this is normal? It's not that I want sore boobs and cramp, it's just that it feels abnormal not to have them!
Many many thanks.

thefatladyscreams · 21/01/2010 11:02

Oh Lee - what fantastic news. I guess a real case of it comes to she who waits!!! Good on you girl - hope you've peeled yourself off the floor!

Day 30 here and another BFN on a cheapie. I am really becoming a POAS addict!

thefatladyscreams · 21/01/2010 11:03

Lucy - welcome and lovely to have you on board!

LucyT66 · 21/01/2010 11:09

Thank you! It's nice to share. No-one knew (apart from DP of course) that I was TTC so hadn't told anyone about the MC. It all felt a bit too much 'suffering in silence', so very nice to share with the group!

Effilump · 21/01/2010 11:13

Morning! Thats brilliant news boodle and lee
I asked after my follow up scan, after my mc if it was possible to have an early scan, next time, because of what had happened and my age, No, not possible! Stupid how it differs from area, to area. Im going to have to pay and go privately when I get pregnant again. Im not waiting until 12wks, its just torture. Well hope everyone else is doing ok. Going to have a few glasses of wine tonight, Cos its my birthday! Not that enthusiastic about it all tbh, but i'll smile and pretend, for the kids if nothing else.

thefatladyscreams · 21/01/2010 11:18

Ditto Lucy, I told no-one except DH of course. It was fantastic finding this site. I found the months afterwards a real rollercoaster - at first I madly obsessed about ttc asap and found the first AFs quite upsetting. Trying to pretend to be more chilled now!

Effilump - Happy Birthday. Hope you do have a good one and everyone spoils you rotten. Have an extra glass of wine for me!!

LeeWT · 21/01/2010 12:02

Oh girls half of my brain is so excited thinking of when the baby would be due and age difference between the baby and my dd. The other half is busy making lists of work so my desk is clear for when I miscarry. I'm so torn.. I wan to be happy but this is the third time I've been preg in a year it's such a rollercoaster..

Is it ok if u just stay here for a while?

meita you are dead right I'm going to try and hold out for a scan or when I'm over 6 weeks in proper time. Thinking of adjusting my lmp by 8 days so that I'll be a standard 28 day cycle and allowing for late ov.

Lucy welcome!

Thanks for all the support girls, tho dh and I are excited it's just never the same after a
mc. I'm going to try an be optimistic for THIS bean tho!!

Xxx

MrsGazebo · 21/01/2010 12:03

Welcome Lucy sorry you've found yourself here but it's a fantastic group for support.
This site has kept me sane ish, made me laugh and been a real blessing over the last couple of weeks.
Not sure about your lack of AF symptoms, wouldn't think too much about it, sounds like your body has got back into the swing of things.
Do you have regular OV signs?

Happy Burrfday too youuuu! Effilump
Pants about the scan
We should get one as a precaution.
You never know, ask, when it happens.

TFLS Boy, you're a trooper!

LucyT66 · 21/01/2010 12:15

Thanks for kind welcoming messages. I need to get with the lingo. I sounded so formal 'menstruation' rather than AF! Just not used to it.

MrsGazebo - I've never really noticed OV signs other than a distinct increase in temp. I've never felt those mezze pains or whatever they're called. I used the CBFM though and it indicated peak days. I've always had a regular if longish (33 days) cycle and this is the first time I've never had sore boobs. Just seems weird.

Very glad to be on here, talking about it all.

MrsGazebo · 21/01/2010 12:35

I haven't used any monitors,temp malarkey or OPK (tell a lie,1,once)
I have enough problems not repeatedly POAS when I think I maybe baybee never mind half way through the month too.
MrG would put my head in the fridge
I meant (tmi) discharge.
I do get the occassional twinge sometimes.

A friend of mine (2DS and preggers now) said the way she can tell is she either likes the smell of her DH or doesn't

Hopefully · 21/01/2010 12:36

Boodle I know, but she started this volume, therefore I have come to the completely logical conclusion that starting the thread guarantees conception!

Welcome Lucy! This lot have kept me smilin through the aftermath of an early MC in recent weeks, hopefully they'll manage the same for you.

Lee stay with us as long as you want! I can only imagine that you're a bit anxious about moving on - I can't imagine being on an ante natal thread again, although I'm sure I'll get there.
