Hi all, old and new, this is the thread where all moaning, pieces of tmi, discussions and virtual cups of tea and biscuits come together to keep us sane .. or at the least insane together!

OP posts:
Meita · 27/01/2010 21:49

Wondering... any news from louise? How are you honey? I hope all is well with you. Thinking of you.

Thirdtimeluckypleasexx · 27/01/2010 22:02

Hey, reading the posts on here today has made me cry both in a happy and sad way.

I did 2 tests in the space of 12 hrs Sunday night / Monday morning - def BFPs I've checked about 100 times. The thing is.....

I keep thinking it's not real, I can't face doing another test (not even got one) incase it's fainter or something and I've booked a docs appointment for Friday but because of my 2 EPs and MMC he'll refer me for an early scan and there's the problem - I don't think I can face bad news, rather keep the dream for as long as possible.

Crying again now, am supposed to be happy aren't I??

Sorry for being selfish but am really scared

Thirdtimeluckypleasexx · 27/01/2010 22:05

Congrat MrsR btw, were u on the June 2010 thread with me (Newherehelp in the past) x

Started bleeding this morning so I guess I don't have to worry. Sometimes you just know I guess

randomimposter · 28/01/2010 07:54

so sorry third, hope you're doing ok, that's pants

welcome choc - great name!

no pressure viv.... but the spotlight IS on you

x to all

SarahMumtoAlex · 28/01/2010 09:07

Welcome choc great name indeed. And welcome too underthestream glad you made it over here, hope it helps.

Don't give up third I know its so hard, but you know with your head it still could be ok. Last time I almost found the constant worry from spotting over the weeks more painful than the mc in the end - like I lost it every day. Fingers crossed for you.

As to job MrsR I'm an archaeologist - though most of the time I'm doing management stuff

VivClicquot · 28/01/2010 09:46

Gah - posted a reply and it's disappeared, goddammit.

Anyway, morning everyone x

Pressure? What pressure?! I'm actually feeling really ambivalent about the whole thing. Am on day 27 of a usually 27 day cycle and no sign of anything arriving - but I know it's because I ov'd late. So I'm feeling quite relaxed knowing I've got at least a couple more days of blissful ignorance before I either get kicked in the stomach by AF or get the chance to test.

Third - Sorry you're having a tough time of it, but try to hang on in there. I've seen countless threads on here from women who've had bleeding, only for it to turn out to be nothing at all.

Hiya underthestream - hope you're bearing up okay.

Hope everyone else is okay. As for jobs, I think I've mentioned it previously but I do the PR / Media Relations for a large financial services firm. Glamourous, non?!

xx

Meita · 28/01/2010 09:58

liah - thinking of you today.

tigger15 · 28/01/2010 12:29

Cheepz thanks for the comments. I've followed everyone whose been off and on the thread, in particular Louise and MrsR. It just gets more and more depressing when all I contemplate is it worse to have conceived again and mcd or not to have conceived at all. Both are crap choices.

I feel like I am the only one on this list (with exception of Barrenbrook who's disappeared) who can't conceive again which leads to thoughts of do I have secondary infertility, did they screw up the ERPC or am I just really unlucky. Not helped by the additional strain from the diabetes which I know fortunately no one can empathize with.

I know no one in RL who has mcd and not got pg again either very quickly or much much later (5 years) and the thread is not really comforting me by showing I'm more likely to fall into the latter category by which point I'll be medically forbidden to get pg.

SarahMumtoAlex · 28/01/2010 13:01

tigger I can completely understand and of course we can't hold you here, but just to say that I had 6 months between my two recent pregnancies and the nurses and doctors thought that was good going. 12 months is entirely within the normal range. So 8 months is not cause for despair (except in teh sense that everything can be sometimes)

I started trying for my second in the summer of 2008, I'm 44. I'm going to keep trying till the spring

Its true that threads etc can give you a skewed view of what's normal, especially if people don't feel welcome or leave after a few months of trying

best wishes for whatever you decide tigger liah really hope today goes as well as it possibly can. i've been there myself back in april last year and recovered physically very well and very quickly. lots of love.

i'm in community safety at the local council, altho i have a secret hankering to give it all up and breed british shorthair cats....

RunForTheHills · 28/01/2010 13:19

tigger I'm 38 and on cycle 13 since mc. I totally know what you're saying, which is why I haven't been posting much (well spotted Cheepz ).

I am trying not to obsess about TTC but everyone here knows how hard that can be.

Hello newbies, sorry to hear your news. This thread helped me out of a very dark place, hope it can do the same for you.

So chuffed for all you BFPs xx

SarahMumtoAlex · 28/01/2010 13:31

liah my thoughts are with you today as well. I hope it goes as well as it can. Like the others I found that physically it was fine and i recovered quickly, hope it helps with closure

louisesh · 28/01/2010 13:53

Hi All don t panic i m fine no internet at home so having to post from work!!!!!!!

Scared to death i m going to have another cP although lines getting darker and darker every day.Got to think of this as another pg totally different to the others!!!

Yeh MRSR
Well done X

Thanks MEITA,CHEEPZ and TIGGER for your concern and worry.

Hope today is over with very quickley LIAH been there so know what its like X

Hi to NEWBIES welcome, although sorry for what you ve been through.

For the people worrying about time to concieve look at my stats!!!! 25months since i ve stared and all ive got is 1CP,1 mmc AND 1 mc we all know how long it all seems to take!!!!! FOREVER.

My occupation: specialist sister in sexual health!!!!

Will post again tomorrow got work to do....Love to all

Cheepz · 28/01/2010 15:25

liah wishing you all love and the best
3rdtime hoping for a good outcome for you, i think you know when you its spotting and when its more than that so support is here in whatever form you need
tigger15 am feeling for you, additional complications like diabetes make it much harder, and infertility concerns are horrible - thats what I was worrying about before 2nd mc this month, which has at least put those concerns to bed. But you need to do whats best for you. barrenb posted a few days ago, but has been quiet of late - like others taking some down time from obsessing - mn does encourage a level of obsessing that can be not helpful
nice to see you runfor keepng a beady eye on you and hoping for good news for you
louise thinking of you in this most worrying stage
mrsr thanks for keeping on list duty - what on earth will we do if you jump ship?
boo am allergic to cats - that could nip this whole friendship thing in the bud... might take a little more than that. x
sarah so good that you are optimistic - I swear thats half the battle

been to opticians and had haircut and feel like new woman
Had some SWI last night so feels good to have one in the bag in 'high' although CD15 and still only 'high' not 'peak' although lines are darker - last stick tomorrow and if still no peak then will have to break into new box - best check I have one!

work beckons after bunking off most of the day...laters

thefatladyscreams · 28/01/2010 16:28

Hi all,

Quickly popping in as meant to be working.

Cheepz - so glad you're feeling better my dear. But maybe a little more TLC or retail therapy is called for [TFLS whispers temptingly!]

Liah - woke up in the night feeling bad as I meant to post a message for you last night. Hope today went as well as these things can. Take good care of yourself.

3rdtime - that sucks but please don't assume the worse. A lady on the 40s plus thread I post on told me that she had bleeding for the 1st three months of both her healthy pregnancies. Unfortuantely, after what we've been through, we tend to assume the worse. Fingers crossed for you.

Oh tigger - I completely understand how gut wrenching this is. You need to do what is right for you. I've hit real lows when I've thought about giving up trying and I am just fooling myself and setting myself up for more heartbreak. But I remember reading someone that you regret the things you didn't do, rather than the things that you did do. So I've kept trying. As I said, you need to do what is right for you.

Lee - I saw my doctor last night and she suggested I get an early scan at 10 weeks. From what I understand you tend to see the hearbeat from week 6 at the earliest so you could hear something but obviously don't panic if you don't (esp given your late o/v).

Louisesh - I daren't ask how many sticks you've got through! But I'm very embarrassed to admit that I've put my BFPs in the bin . Love Boodle's diary thing.

Welcome northlondonchoclover - blimey Christmas Day is awful (not that any day isn't). Love the name!

And welcome UnderneaththeStream - at 36 you're a youngster compared to some of us!

This thread is getting so busy that it's hard to catch up with everyone - so apologies if I've not replied to anyone . Love to you all.

Cheepz · 28/01/2010 20:31

jeepers where'd everyone go?

MrsRigby · 28/01/2010 21:02

Evening

The word pregnant has now vanished off the Clearblue digital . Oh well, I'll just have to take another one .

Thanks tigger15 I've got my fingers crossed for you still. Good luck.

Welcome northlondonchoclover and so sorry about the unwanted christmas present .

That's the spirit vivclicquot .

Welcome underneaththestream. thirdtimeluckypleasexx I'm so sorry. Yes I was on the June 2010 thread, but sadly miscarried .

Ooh an archaeologist sarahmumtoalex [impressed smiley].

liahgen66 hope your doing okay. I'm thinking of you.

I'm not planning on going anywhere cheepz until I'm 3 months. I don't know if I'll ever be able to leave this thread and you lovely people - my friends.

Goodluckbear · 28/01/2010 21:07

MrsR!!!! Oh my god, I just have no internet access for 2 days and suddenly it's BFP!! I KNEW sod's law would work!!

Viv - I'll get off the internet for another 24hrs - I think when I look away the BFPs come in....

Hi to everyone - there's so many now - but particular hi to everyone new in the last couple of days, I think you kept me company on the miscarriage forum a few weeks back - sorry you're here, but glad you found it too.

Cheepz - I had a hair cut last week, coloured too, it really made me feel like a fresh start, nice and positive!! But DH still didn't notice, haha.

The jobs are interesting - Louisesh, I thought you must know some stuff from what you've said before! I have very little useful knowledge, I'm an accountant, but a charity specialist so I can't even get tax returns correct

Tigger - I don't know what to say. I hope that you know we'll all be here whenever you need us. Big hugs xxx

thefatladyscreams · 28/01/2010 22:15

Cheepz - just logged on and was surprised not to have 3 pages to catch up on!

Goodluckbear - people will be bribing you to go offline at strategic moments

MrsR - I kept going back to my Clearblue for one last peak! Think they only last for 24 hours - I'm sure it's a marketing ploy to make us buy more! And one that works damn it

UnderneathTheStream · 28/01/2010 22:34

Thanks for my welcome my lovely virtual friends!
Cheepz That?s grand thanks, I don?t actually have a UCL ? sometimes 28, sometimes 35 and nowt in between so who knows!

Grief I?m knackered ? had parents? evening tonight ? 4 hours of constant talking ? just checking in so you don?t think I?ve joined and run?

Waves to all

Could someone shout at me?! I took a clearblue this morning be because I shouldve been 5+2 so I wanted to see the 3+ weeks flash up to reassure me. It came up 2-3 weeks. Why did I do it to myself?!?! Now it's all I can think about what a waste of nine pounds!!

Oh and morning everyone :-)
