Thought I'd get a new thread started as we seem to have run out of space

Let's hope this one brings us all lots of luck!

OP posts:
Medee · 09/04/2010 11:56

Sorry to hear that, BH.

boba82 · 09/04/2010 12:31

Oh babyh I'm really sorry to hear that. I know it's easy to say but try and stay positive hun. I've been feeling down all month so I have no hopes at all this month but I know you were feeling really hopefull for A BFP this month. x x x

Pamsie · 09/04/2010 12:51

Oh BH, so sorry to hear that. Big hug to you.

FlyingCat · 09/04/2010 13:18

So sorry babyhoping. Have you got plans for the weekend to take your mind off it?

Big hugs.

FlyingCat · 09/04/2010 13:22

And hey congrats angelgirl! may many of us join you on the grads list as soon as possible!

Lychees · 09/04/2010 17:28

Congrats Angelgirl79, BFPs on here really make it seem that it could happen to any of us. It gives hope. I hope that you have a very h&h pregnancy and please do keep in touch.

Sorry that AF has got you BabyHoping. I really feel your pain, hun. We are all here if you need a shoulder.

Yes, let me know what the doctors say, Boba. I've been thinking about going private for tests ... possibly.

Is anyone testing soon?

vnewmummy · 09/04/2010 19:27

Angelgirl - Fantastic news. I am so pleased for you. I know its very personal but can you remember what days you got jiggy around your peak days?!

Baby - sorry darling I really know how you feel, reading your message made me cry. It is so hard and sometimes when you read great news stories like Angel's, you think please let it be me.I know I do. Big hugs.

I am starting this clomid medication tonight in the hope that it will boost my fertility. Little bit worried as side effects sound bad but i only take tablets for 5 days.

Lychees I went private and would recommend it every time. Within 3 weeks we had all tests done, scans etc. Cost about £1200. We gave up a holiday so we could find out where we were.xx

Lychees · 09/04/2010 20:56

Hi vnewmumy, will definitely give the private clinic some thought. How did you go about finding one?

vnewmummy · 10/04/2010 07:13

The one we went to was in London UCH. My consultant is Melanie Davies. I have known her for a while as i have had PCOS fo 8 years. Let me know if that is in your area and i can give you her private number. xx

Vikks · 10/04/2010 09:58

Morning Ladies!
I haven?t posted for ages but I?ve been keeping up. Good luck to all of you, the TTC rollercoaster is such a tough time in our lives, I think we all need medals! Thank goodness for this thread; it kept me sane.

Angel Congratulations!!! It?s so lovely to see another graduate on the list. H&H 9 months to you (I hope your first trimester goes smoothly ).

Vnewmummy Fingers crossed for you on the Clomid. What dose have they got you on? I didn?t have any side effects, hope you don?t too.

BabyHoping Sorry to hear it wasn?t to be this cycle. Let hope this is your last AF for at least 9 months!

Boba Any news?

Lychees If you can manage it, I would also recommend private treatment. The NHS was good but everything happened sooo slowly, I personally found the waiting most stressful.

Hellooooo to everyone I missed. Stay strong ladies your BFP are coming soon?x

Morning all

vikks am pretty sure didn't ovulate this month so am not expecting BFP. AF was due on Thurs so if no sign I will POAS tomo but not got high hopes. Have GP on Wed to start ball rolling re tests etc so looking forward to that.

Lychees could you not try your normal GP first and see what comes of that? I suppose it depends on waiting lists etc but I'm pretty sure GP can do basic bloods and sperm counts first.

Vikks · 10/04/2010 10:14

Boba Going to the Doc is a real positive step, good luck. I went after 9 months because I suspected I wasn't ovulating, turned out I was right. I'm glad I didn't wait longer.
Are your cycles long and irregular?

Missyraines · 10/04/2010 12:44

Hello everyone.

I've just joined this web site as I'm ttc.
I'm 33 and have been married for almost 8 months (although been together for almost 9 years)

I'm on my first cycle of my cbfm and wondered if this was the group to join? If not please point me in the right direction as it's quite confusing as a newbie!

I didn't get a peak this cycle but from reading other posts this doesn't seem too unusual. I got my first M today and usualy have a 32 day cycle. This was day 26.

Not really got any questions I'm just being nosey and seeing how everyone gets on and would like to be part of a group that undersatands as I have no-one (other than hubby) to talk to so wondered if you ladies would take me under your wing.

Many thanks.

Lychees · 10/04/2010 16:49

Hi Missyraines,

You're in the right place. Welcome aboard . I've added your stats below so that someone will update it each day. There are some missing bits so if you want to fill us in on those then please do.

I'm in the two week wait at the moment as I am on CD24 and don't really expect AF until after CD30. We're in our sixth month of ttc #2 but only our second cycle using the CBFM.

Boba82, I will try my GP first but don't hold out much hope. We're based in West London where NHS services are so stretched that I can only get a doctors appointment if I phone at 8.30am. If I don't call bang on time ... I can forget about trying to see a doctor. If you book in advance you can expect to see the GP in four or five weeks. I have had to cancel countless smears because I can never get an appointment the right time in my cycle. It's all part of the "postcade lottery" the media are always on about ... sadly.

Oops, I made lots of typos in my last post.

Missyraines · 10/04/2010 17:07

Thanks for that.

These are my missing stats

TTC for the first time
cycle 7
All the rest is correct.

Do I need to update regulary?

One question, is AF your period? I've no idea what that stands for but can kind of guest the rest of the acronyms.

I'll look forward to 'meeting' you all.

Lychees · 10/04/2010 17:23

Hello, "AF" stands for "Auntie Flo"; in other words (you are correct), it's your period. It took me a while to get all the abbreviations .

Hi,
having been away over Easter (not a hol, seeing family etc) today is cd1 for me, so month 20 of ttc#1. See fertility consultant for 2nd time in June, just waiting for scan appointment etc ... time is coming to work out what we can afford privately as it has taken from Jan to June to have 2 lots of bloods, 2 lots of SA and a general blood test and one scan. Progesterone is only 21 at day 21 day test, prolactin is 843 and it is all telling me there is something causing infertility and I don't know what. It is hard ttc for so long without knowing,

Well done of bfp angel and welcome to new people waves

Sorry AF got you Keziah. Hope the doctors get a move on.

I am trying to keep busy so that the 2ww doesn't drag. I am not planning on testing unless AF is late and at the moment I have symptoms that could mean AF is on its way.

How's everyone else doing?

Angelgirl79 · 12/04/2010 09:28

Morning All, I would love to stay on for a while as very nervous its so early on. Thank you all for your well wishes. I am sending lots of luck to you all and hope my BFP is the first of many for us all.

Vnewmummy, am more than happy to answer the question, anything that can help anyone. My peak days were day 16,17 and 18. My two high days were day 19 and day 20. We got jiggy on days 16, 17 and 19 so only managed it on the first day peak and first two high days. I think the days break on day 18 maybe made it better quality on day 19 if you know what I mean. If you have any more questions please ask away.

Sending you all luck and hugs xx

Hi all
is it still ok to join???
we have been TTC for 14months
we are TTC#2
CBFM cycle 1
CD 5
age 37
had a miscarriage last august at 9 weeks and since then my cycle hasnt returned to anything like regular- hence the CBFM.- i know its meant to be for women with regular cycles but am hoping it will be some help!
Have also just had CD2 blood test to check hormone levels,
will have another on CD21 (if my cycle lasts that long, have had a few 14 day ones).
Have decided to give myself another 6 months of trying before giving up, i dont want too bigger age gap and i think i need an end date as the TTC thing is so consuming. am hoping being part of a group might help get me through this final charge!

boba82 · 12/04/2010 11:36

Keziah sorry to hear AF got you.

Welcome missyraines. Vikks Sometimes I am really irregular/long cycles and sometimes it's absolutely perfect. For instance CD 35 today and still no sing of AF. Been cramping for over a week now & am bloated to size of a house but nothing . Seriously doubt I would get a BFP but slept in this morning so didn't have time to test anyway.

My GP's is always sretched also Lychees but can't afford to go private at this stage. I will let you know what they say. Good luck with the TWW!
