Let's hope this one brings us all lots of luck!

BabyHoping I would waite now till AF is due, it is really difficult when you test and get a BFN try and do something fun to take your mind of it. I am not even testing now till sunday as I have 11 days of high and no peaks. I did phone clear blue and they did quiz me re my technique of testing I think I am doing it correctly ie 3 seconds in the stream or 15 seconds for collected. I did miss one test the other day as my new box of tests didn't arrieve till yesterday. Been Bding every other day even with the headache and very soar neck. I am not even testing this month. I have 1 test stashed away but the clear blue lady thourght maybe I am having a long cycle but said if I get af on cd 28 and no highs they might look at the monitor for me. The M isn't flasjing either which it did this time last month. Anyway good luck every one.

BabyHoping · 07/04/2010 12:23

Thank you for all your encouragement! It really helps me.
I will try and not think about it...

BabyHoping · 07/04/2010 17:40

Nanny here is my technique of testing.... hope it helps...

  1. Open package, check which side to pee on: one of the sides of the rectangle where you pee is shiny (its covered by a piece of plastic, just check ;-)), the other side is the opaque irregular one which is the most absorvent. I always POAS on the side that is not shiny, which is the most absorvent
  2. I count when holding it in the stream: 1 mississipi, 2 mississipi, 3 mississipi, to make sure its the 3 whole seconds and not half seconds

And that´s it! I think the side in which you POAS might make some difference cause I remeber seeing it in another forum, but they do not mention anything inside the monitor manual....

vnewmummy · 07/04/2010 17:51

As expected AF arrived today! Oh what joy!

Day 1 and cycle 2 for me tomorrow.

Has anyone tried clomid without observation? I am going to use it this month. HAve been on metformin for 8 years but specialist things clomid might give my ovaries a boost. Hope so!

Good luck to everyone else testing, we have to have a good luck story soon.

xx

boba82 · 07/04/2010 21:39

I agree vnewmummy if the stats on CBFM box are to believed anyway!

BabyHoping · 07/04/2010 22:08

We need good news... Angelgirl didn´t you ovulate near vnewmummy? Any news for you?

I was wondering if we should track DPOs also on the stats. It would help to see who is close to testing cause cycle lenghts are quite different for eveyone... but I do not want to add any extra stress, the 2ww is already complicated without it

FlyingCat · 07/04/2010 22:46

Thanks for your answer babyhoping that's really helpful. Sounds like you have been really doing your homework!

Hi Boba82 Thanks my stats are;
FlyingCat TTC#1, cycle 24, CBFM cycle 1, age 30, UCL 32+, CD14

I'm finding the CBFM really interesting and hope it will leave me feeling a bit more in control - got referral to sub fertility unit today also so feeling really positive.

Hoping those testing soon have good news! (I'll be happy if I even get a peak...)

Morning ladies cd 25 and af got me today, never got any peak days, I did check with the clear blue customer services lady and she said I was doing everything right apparently the monitor once it detects high fertility keeps high and asks for test tll it gets peaks or I guess af comes or maximum number of tests done. So disapointed as we really got into a good pattern of bding this month. Dh was really disappointed . Can someone change my stats for me back to cd1 and I can't believe this is cycle no.5

Sorry to hear that nanny, I never got any peaks either my AF due today so I'm interested to see if it turns up.

Do you already have any DC or is this #1 you're trying for? I know you'd said before you didn't actually have 4 DC . .

BabyHoping · 08/04/2010 12:29

Sorry to hear that nanny. This was an unusual cycle for you, no? In your stats your cycles are 28 days and this one seems unusually short.

Well, a new cycle, a new hope.

Nanny01 · 08/04/2010 14:25

Hi I actually have 4 children 2 ds's and 2 dd's. Been contemplating no.5 for at least a year now. My only concern is my age and my weight 18 stone I know it is not good tried endless diets and each time just end up heavier.

My periods are normally regular my only thought on this is that I was really upset with dh's paycut and I was really down. I was hopeful because we had done a lot of bding even with the absence of the peaks. Hopefully as you say we can move on and start trying for a January baby which would be the first for our family. In fact any month between Jan to April would be good. Only a couple of people know we are trying as most think we are mad as hatters. I am just looking forward to adding to our nest.

boba82 · 08/04/2010 14:53

God Nanny you're keen! Quite possible that it was stress that has mucked up your cycle. It once happened to me years ago when I was very upset even though I was on the Pill at the time. Good luck for this month x

Eggsovereasy TTC#1, Cycle 14, CBFM Cycle 6, age 36, UCL 27-29, CD14

I'm starting to get worried now, but then months 1-3 we missed the peak days due to work/life/dramas!!!

I have had peaks on CD16/17 and last month CD18/19, so hoping back to CD16/17 this month!

Today is CD14 - high... so here comes the 2ww

Hi Eggs! Welcome to our thread.

Sorry, Nanny, on arrival of AF.

Boba82, I'm thinking of seeing my GP if we don't succeed this cycle as I read that if you're over 35 years old it is recommended that you go if you've been trying for six months. I don't know if they'll do anything, tho but worth a try .

FlyingCat · 09/04/2010 07:29

Omg! I've got a peak! Was really not expecting that this month (after doctor saying I wasn't ovulating).

Yay! Dh will be getting now rest tonight... Consider a sicky (could tell work we had a "fertility appointment"? Lol) but decided best not cry wolf!

Gosh I hope this test is right!

Sending positive vibes to everyone (I have enough to go round today!)

Angelgirl79 · 09/04/2010 11:30

Hi girls - sorry not been on for a while - I have been off work with tonsillitis and have felt shocking since bank holiday monday.

Well........day 34 yesterday and I am still in shock, the m had been flashing for 3 days but I couldnt get to the shops. DH finally relented and bought me a test yesterday and I got my BFP

It works out that I am 4 wks today as looks like conception occured on 26 May (my 2 peak days were 24 and 25 May).

I dont want to get too excited yet as very very early days - I feel like im in a dream and it hasnt quite sunk in

It is ok if I stay on for a while? xx

CONGRATULATIONS Angel so pleased for you! I hope this is the start of some luck on this thread. x x

boba82 · 09/04/2010 11:40

Angel my m has been flashing for 3 or 4 days now too but don't think I will be getting a BFP, will POAS on Sun if AF stil hasn't arrived.

What were your symptoms?

Angelgirl79 · 09/04/2010 11:41

Thanks Boba - Am sending lots of luck to all and hope this is the start of a roll of BFP's xxx

Angelgirl79 · 09/04/2010 11:45

Ooh Boba fx for you. I only had sore breasts and cramping initially and a stuffy nose. Then as time went on these passed and I actually felt that my breasts were not as sore. When I came down with tonsillitis I felt dreadful so dont know if that was anything to do with it. Only other symton was on tuesday slight metalic taste in my mouth when drinking water but not with other drinks and I only had that for that one day.

Oh I really am sending you lots of luck - I used the clearblue hpt and the line came up in seconds as the urine travelled across the windows - it was totally shocking. Will watch out for any news from you xx

BabyHoping · 09/04/2010 11:47

I´m really sad today... AF came in the morning...
This month I did everything that I could, I really did... and all the signs were there that my fertility was really high... I don´t know what happened, maybe the cold and the falling did not help but people get pregnant around the world in much worst conditions...
I´m sorry, I just feel really disappointed and really like crying. It´s bad enough to have problems holding pregnancies and that I had already 3 miscarriages, I hope I do not start having problems in getting pregnant also...

Well, back to day 1 for me...
