Thought I'd get a new thread started as we seem to have run out of space

Let's hope this one brings us all lots of luck!

Hi Boba82 - think I might be reading to much in to stuff, but Ive got tender breasts and have had some cramping although to be honest it justs feels like AF due. I think im clutching at straws here with the stuffy nose!

I dont know when to do HPT - thought I would wait til next monday which would be day 31 and i think 11 po if I count from day after second peak.

I spent an absolute fortune last month as I had convinced myself I was pregnant and must have poas ten times - I bought the CBFM after being devestated to get AF again FX for all of us xx

boba82 · 30/03/2010 16:19

Oh I have been there with the POAS fortune. It's so easy to convince yourself isn't it?

Does sound like you have symptoms though. I'm a nightmare and convince myself every month I'm pg only to disappoint myself.

Funnily enough I don't feel like that this month, think the CBFM has calmed me down. I willl only POAS when the m sign appears on the CBFM and if AF hasn't arrived by then.

I think you're a wee bit early to test just now but you could always get a twin pack and do one now and one start of next week?

Angelgirl79 · 30/03/2010 16:24

I think that's a good idea about waiting for the m to appear - think I will just be dissapointed if I test now as I know too early - I am just so impatient. Glad it the bank holiday as family coming across to stay so hopefully keep me occupied. Only slightly upsetting thing is 6 adorable nephews and neices and being asked the question "When?" by well meaning family.

It gets so hard smiling and saying that we're not ready yet and maybe next yr or so as I cant bear for people to know how hard we are trying - Dont know if anyone else feels like that xx

boba82 · 30/03/2010 16:31

Oh I totally feel the same as you angel sometimes I feel like screaming at them that we've been trying for nearly a year, people are so insensitive and don't stop to think that you may be having problems.

Yes keep strong and don't test until next week, easy for me to say eh?!

Angelgirl79 · 30/03/2010 16:40

Not at all - we're all in the same boat and its lovely to have some support and hear othhers experiences - I've been driving myself mad!!

Pamsie · 30/03/2010 18:17

Thanks for the welcome and for adding me to the stats. My UCL (I had to do a search to find out what this means ) is 28-32.

essenceofSES · 30/03/2010 19:08

angel - my first symptoms with DS were a stuffy nose and sore boobs. Think I noticed both by 7dpo. Stuffy nose is to do with the change in blood flow around the body. It changes quickly as the volume of blood increases during pg. Nasal passages often show as a sign first as blood vessels swollen with extra blood volume are more noticable there and cause narrowing of airway, hence stuffy nose. Does that make sense?!

Still getting frustrated here as DS still being v demanding for BF and no sign of AF at all!

Harry - thanks for posting when you're having such a tough time. Thinking of you.

2ww - good luck to you all!!

Lychees · 30/03/2010 20:46

Looks like I've missed a lot of activity on here today . Good luck to those of you on your 2ww.

It's an emotional time when you're ttc but you can't really talk to anyone about it so this is a good place to get support. It's been a real godsend for me thanks to you lovely ladies.

My MIL is the worse for the insensitivity, she's always saying to my DS, "when are mummy and daddy going to have a little brother or sister to keep you company?". I just have to bite my tongue which I often have to do around her. I've gotten used to letting things she says go over my head.

Welcome Pamsie and Angelgirl!

Angelgirl79 · 31/03/2010 10:16

Thanks for that Essence - it does make sense. Im keeping eveything crossed that it may mean something for me too x

Hi all, wow it's quiet here today .

Well today is my 10th HIGH day!? I am not feeling very confident that I am going to see a PEAK this month now .

Lychees · 01/04/2010 18:50

I'm still on lows, boba82. I got my first high around CD14 or 15 last time and peaks on CD17 and 18 so I might be having a slightly longer cycle this month.

This is your first cycle using the CBFM, isn't it? I wouldn't worry too much unless you're repeatedly getting no peaks. You're remaining on highs so you might still get a peak. Fingers crossed you get your peak soon.

Happy Easter all!

Medee · 01/04/2010 19:08

I didn't get a peak in my first cycle, Boba. On lows now and about 10 days from period (I have 40-42 day cycle)

Keziahhopes · 01/04/2010 19:30

Hope you all get your peaks. I didn't last month, did this month.

Am away for a week now, question is do I pack a test?? Hope to see some good news from everyone when I return, which is also the end of my 2ww. x

vnewmummy · 01/04/2010 20:45

Hi,

Well I know I should of waited but I have period pains and tested. Negative. Feel gutted. I have been trying for almost 12 months and really prayed that CBFM would help. I will pick myself up again, you have to, but gosh it is so hard.

A tiny part of me - 1% thinks it could change as day 23 but I usually have a 26 - 28 day cycle. I did get my peaks on day 16 and 17. I will test again in couple of days. However, I think I am just kidding myself.

Happy Easter girls xxx

Argh! I've just checked my CBFM and I've gone from lows straight to a peak at CD15. It's a bit early as I usually have a 30-35 day cycle.

We bd'd on Wed night but not last night. Do you think I've missed my window? I always thought it was a good idea to have bd'd on the last high before the peak ?!?!

boba82 · 02/04/2010 11:54

As long as you SWI today and tome think you will be covered Lychees, sperm can survive for good few days in there . Lucky you with your peak !

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter weekend.

boba82 · 02/04/2010 11:55

That was meant to say today and tomo

Keziahhopes · 02/04/2010 12:58

Agree with boba... maybe you ovulate earlier than you thought, so knowing this might help?

boba82 · 03/04/2010 14:09

Well went back to LOW today so no PEAKS for me this month .

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter.

Can't believe it today is cd 21 I think and still no peaks, I have been so upset this month that can only think it has messed things up as no peaks for me yet. Can't see how anything could embed even if I get peaks as my cycle has been 28 days since my periods returned 4 months ago. I wonder if af will hit in 7 days time. what do you ladies think?

BabyHoping · 05/04/2010 09:56

Hi everyone,

Just returned from a week away with DH, half vacations, half work. It was great except for the fact that on the first day I felt and hurt myself a bit on hand and shoulder and that when I was recovering from it I got a cold and spent two days in bed and not being able to take any medicine... I´m much better now, just hope I will be able to avoid the coughing I usually get after a cold...
In the meanwhile, the 2ww has been hard... I´ve been getting some cramping, but do not want to put my opes up, as this can also be from intestines, as last week I changed a bit my normal eating habits. Today I did an early pregnancy test, just in case, but it was negative... it´s still a bit early, so I´m trying not to loose hope... We really tried this month, although last week was a bit hard in between falling and getting the cold and some fever, which is not good if the egg is trying to implant...

Any news? Vnewmummy how are you feeling? It seemed to me that you tested a bit early... tests can start giving you a positive around 10dpo, so your negative result does not mean you did not get lucky this month.
