Hi all

I am on my first cycle using CBFM and would love to chat -

days 1-15 low
days 16-18 high
days 19 and 20 PEAK yipee. That was yesterday and today.

I got so excited when I saw the egg but I dont want to get my hopes up. Been trying since MC July last year and now decided after speaking to a friend that we needed some help. My cycles had gone all over and I was convicned I was not ovulating so even more excited by the peak yesterday and today.

How is everyone else doing? x

vnewmummy I take it you don't already have 9 children? Sorry if I'm being nosy, tell me to mind my own business if you want.

Still just a high today, am now worrying I will not get a peak as this is third high day in a row. Anyone else like that?

It is exciting when you get a 1st peak day - mine is today! I have been TTC for almost a year too but I am 41. (old!!!)

What I have realised already is that I thought I ovulated at same time each month and I dont. In the past we would try every 2nd day from day 9 to say 16 so I must of missed a few Od's.

I already have a daughter who is 2.5 and we had no problem then. I think my fertility has declined a lot in line with my age.

Other girls who are worried about your age please try not to worry too much. Yes it is true after 35 things slow down but my consultant expalined that up to age 43 is not impossible. 40 should be more than ok if you are fit and well. I have PCOS and even at age 38 I was ok.

Do you think we should have sex every night or is every second night enough?

I hear that you can do it too much. Its quality rather than quanity?!

vnewmummy Every other day is what fertility experts recommend. Every day can get tiring and I think SWI EVERY day can take the enjoyment out of sex.

Hi vnewmummy - I nearly hyperventilated when I got my first peak - made me feel at least all working properly as so irregular. I think everyother day is better as the quality of the sperm is better then

Boba 82 I had 3 days high on days 16,17 and 18 got my first peak yesterday on day 19 and again today at day 20. I have read that sometimes on the first cycle with CBFM you can get alot of highs while it learns your cycle. Let us know how you get on tomorrow morning x

heee - I dont have nine kids! I have one. I dont understand what all the acrynoms mean!

vnew there's a acronyms key at top of thread which is very helpful, I'm always looking at it. Most common are:

TTC = trying to conceive
SWI = shagging with intent (to conceive)
BD = baby dancing eg shagging with intent
EWCM = egg white cervical mucous (sign of ovulation)
FX = fingers crossed
BFP = big fat positive
BFN = big fat negative
POAS = peeing on a stick
AF = Aunt Flow/period
DH/DP = dear husband/partner

Angel that's re-assuring I was sooooo excited when it went to high a few days ago and showed DH that I was "working" now worrying I'm not but will give it few more days to peak then.

Day 7 for me and still no need to poas so hopefully, will not be spending £15-£20 on sticks each month . Not much else going on for us, just waiting for our highs.

Day 25, and back to a low, without getting a peak, which seemed a bit odd, but I have put down to being the first cycle. Hopefully, will be a bit mnore useful this month. Ov should be anytime now.

vnewmummy - your cycle is same as mine this month - wow!

Lychees - I used to pay £20 on a box of sticks, then discovered Amazon was about £13 and free postage - have you tried there?

First peak day! boba82 any news for you?

Morning boba82, I was the same when I first went to high as I kept reading people were getting highs at day 10 and I didnt get mine until day 16! Then I started getting dissapointed when it was day 3 high and no peak and then SOOOOOOOOO excited when it peaked! Cant believe how much just knowing its all working is so excited - Cant imagine what I'll be like when fx i hopefully finally get pregnant! Hope you got your peak this morning x

Afternoon All, it is really exciting when the highs come and then the peaks .

I'm not expecting highs until CD14 or thereabouts so still a bit of a wait for me. Hope you all have good weekends.

Really frustrated today as no highs for me and it is cd 11 the previous 2 months I got highs, wondering if the stress of the paycut has affected things. Still bding though as I think it will help pass the time lol

angelgirl that is re-assuring, I was all sad this morning and was moaning to DH, his answer: "maybe you're just a late peaker?"

peak? Probably just as well as had massive row with DH last night so doubt there will be much talking let alone shagging going on tonight!
