Thought I'd get a new thread started as we seem to have run out of space

Let's hope this one brings us all lots of luck!

OP posts:
Lychees · 18/03/2010 18:34

AF has just arrived so I'm back to CD1 tomorrow and second cycle using CBFM .

Kind of knew she was on her way but still a bit disappointed.

BabyHoping · 18/03/2010 18:37

Hi harry, how are you feeling? Hang in there... I know that the anxiety of not knowing is the worst part.
What tests have you been doing? Do you know the sensitivity to the pregnancy hormone they have?

I was just looking to the previous posts and with a normal lutheal phase af should only come for you around CD35, so in two days...

Time goes slowly on these occasions... I´ve been counting day by day and it seems forever until I get another peak... still on day 10 and on low although to be honest I can not trust lows too much cause last month I did not see any highs....

Harry2007 · 18/03/2010 20:21

Evening ladies.........News Flash!

I did a first response test earlier and got the faintest of faint lines. Now it could be my eyes deceiving me but....

I agonised over whether to post my news because I'll be so disappointed if it turns out that I'm actually not pregnant, but figured that you've all been so supportive, I'll probably need a few virtual shoulders to cry on if it doesn't work out x

cupc4kes · 18/03/2010 20:37

Oooooh Harry thats brill news so I take it you tested in the afternoon then, youve def gotta try in the morning then with 1st wee because if its showing faint now it should be more prominent in the morning. xx

JustShaggy · 18/03/2010 21:02

Absolutely brilliant Harry. Test again in the morning and maybe keep some pee back for a test done via your GP. So glad for you!

Vikks · 18/03/2010 22:56

Harry It sounds promising!!!! Good luck x

Helloooo everyone else, I'm still here. I'm staying put until you've all got your BFP!

Keziahhopes · 18/03/2010 23:37

Harry that is wonderful news - hope tomorrow is equally as positive!

Vikks - glad you are staying till we all get BFP's- and do let us know how you are getting on, it is so encouraging to hear such positives!

I had my first apt at fertility clinic (NHS), a nice SHO asked lots of questions, then after speaking to his consultant (who was kind enough to speak to us too) ordered a 2nd SA, another set of bloods for me, wiht day 2 and day 21 and an internal scan (but not the one with dye). They think it may be linked to my selective (ie none) IgA defildceincy, despite my iimmunologist saying it should not be an issue. So the SHO (a trainee Gp) now has lots of homework for hte consultant in researching this, then back in 3 months. I told the SHO it would be great to research as few Gp's know about immune problems and if my childhood one had, I would have saved my hearing!

Well, i did another test - another faint line...but no stronger than the one i did yesterday afternoon. Today is 14 days post ovulation, so I suppose if af doesn't turn up by Sunday, it's more likely that I'll get a strong bfp.

Thanks for all your support x

Keziah that sounds like a very positive appointment - it must feel great to know that things are on track x

boba82 · 19/03/2010 15:28

Harry that's brilliant news!

Sorry AF got you lychees

Lychees · 19/03/2010 17:39

Harry, have my fingers crossed for you that you'll get a definite BFP over the weekend.

Keziah, good that they're taking action and being quite thorough.

Thanks, boba82 ... time for us to focus on other things for a little while until I get two "thingies" on my monitor. We are buying a house and I heard today that we are about two weeks from exchange of contracts so got other things to get excited about. Must stay positive .

Wishing you all lots of luck and best wishes.

Harry2007 · 19/03/2010 19:45

Just did a CB Digital - pregnant 1-2 weeks

essenceofSES · 19/03/2010 20:06

Just checking in...

Harry -
That's absolutely brilliant news! Congratulations!!

Still no AF here. I guess it could take a while longer... Easy answer would be to just stop BF but I don't want to and DS doesn't want to!

Lychees - exciting about moving house!
Sorry for AF

Keziah - that does sound like a good appointment. Fingers crossed for you.

Boba82 - Happy Wedding Anniversary for Sunday!

My DH has gone away for the wkend to Ireland to visit his folks. I'd have like to have gone too with DS but I work Saturday mornings and am only just back from ML and can't take any hols until April.

Anyway, hope you all have good wkends!

Vikks · 19/03/2010 21:26

Vikks haven't spoken to you before, have just read back this thread & wanted you to know your story has really cheered me up. We've not been TTC for nearly as long but as we're approaching the 1 year mark I'm starting to panic, I've never had a BFP either.

Going to GP in next few cycles if no luck - good to hear such a happy outcome for you. Hope you have a H&H pregnancy and wee one.

Vikks · 20/03/2010 13:40

Boba82 Thank you and good luck to you too. We first went to the GP after about 9 months as I suspected I wasn?t ovulating properly (long cycles). It seemed a bit scary starting the medical route but it turned out to be the best thing. We had lots of support from some great medical staff who really knew what we were going through and although our BFP took much longer than we ever thought, we are so thankful.
Don?t give up; it?s not just something that happens to other people (as I use to think). Just think, your baby will be the most precious and loved little person because you tried for so long to get them. x

cupc4kes · 20/03/2010 14:08

Congrats again harry hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months.

Today was my 1st high so the journey starts again today hopefully this month will be our month harry you are giving me hope it can happen xxxx

barrenbrook · 20/03/2010 14:28

Just popped in for a nosy to see if Vikks had been in to update on her progress and saw Harry's good news. Congratulations matey, all the best for a happy and healthy little sticky bean.

Vikks · 20/03/2010 18:33

Brook & Keziah - Thank you for asking about me, I?m doing really well. 10+3 today and I?m starting to believe everything is going to be ok. I?ve had 2 great scans so far at the fertility clinic and my dating scan is a week on Monday. So all going well with that, we will be telling the world! It has been hard keeping quiet and my waistline has grown, so I?ve noticed a few people at work looking?..they probably think I?m a fatty.
I?m all booked-in with the midwives and had my swine flu on Thursday (which still hurts). I?ve been very lucky with the morning sickness and found that eating rubbish made me feel better, hence the waistline! I do think I?ve got a little baby bump (it can?t be all fat ), I?m a different shape to when my weight goes up usually.
I hope you are well also and wish you all the luck in the world! Baby dust*

Nanny01 · 20/03/2010 21:06

Congrats Harry. Just about to start testing again soon. Feeling more nervouse as If this was the month it could easliy be a christmas Baby. The only thing on my mind is the 15% PAYCUT and the ramifications of that. SO we have decicded to keep going as neither of us are getting any younger and hope that things change before our next miracle comes along. Feeling more worried as I am now 37. How does everyone else feel about December.
