Let's hope this one brings us all lots of luck!

Brook I´m so sorry... I know exactly the feeling as I have had 3 miscarriages already and one of the times one of my girl friends got pregnant exactly on the same month as I did and she is now showing a 7 month belly...

You will get pregnant again soon, who knows if in 2 weeks you are already growing a little bean... My doctor says it happens a lot as you get more fertile on the months after a miscarriage

Nanny01 · 08/03/2010 14:37

I'm not a very patient person either feeling lethargic but that's cause we want to move and can't see anything we like. We are looking for schools to and it seems to be impossible to find a nice house near a great school. We want it to be good so we can stay along time in it.

My AF is due between Saturday (cd26) to Monday (cd 28). ALl my pregnancies were different with the first I had the creamy cm, breast tenderness, stomach cramps. With later ones I don't remember them as much. I am older this time as I am 37 arrr. I would have ttc last year when no. 4 was 2 but dh didn't want to and said we needed to move to our next house. This is why we are trying now as we are moving. DH did ask today if I thought I was pregnant and I have to say I am often tiered with 4 kids to care for.

Brook - am so sorry to hear your news. Have you asked the dr to refer you to see why m/c more than once?

I need to rant ...
It is now 18months since seriously ttc#1, am 34.5, been seeing Gp since end Dec about why not pg. Got blood tests, SA etc - BUT had to wait weeks inbetween, found I had problems with my prolactin level being too high.
Gp:
would not give me a separate endocrinologist appointment to get my prolactin lower - I am not ovulating since prolactin risen twice in 3 months.
Only reason I know prolactin risen even higher is due to a blood test with a gastroenterologist.
Gp waited a week to phone me to tell me he not give me a separate referral to endocrinology - he said local City hospital do combined endo/gynae appointments. When I told him my fertility apt with another hospital as it had earlier date he said change it.

-- so end result is I lost my apt at QMC for 19th April only to find my nearest city hospital has not released any dates for fertility, no mind about joint fert/endo appointments. I only know this due to helpful choose and book lady and my husband contacting a helpful female Gp at our clinic.

At least this lady given me referral for repeat bloods - this time day 2 and day 21 so we can compare them, plus a chlamydia sweep. Plus she checked we had everything else done to avoid waiting for basic tests when eventually get a date. WHY can't my own gp know the same basic tests needed? Why don't I deserve to get a date? I can't even ttc if not ovulating and prolactin twice as high as it should be to conceive. I nam now waiting 14 days for letter from the hospital to tell me whether or not they have any dates released to see me. If no date given I was told to go back to Gp to chase up. Uh???

Sorry - don't expect anyone to have got that ffar in my post.

Brook I'm so sorry to hear your news mate. I hope you have lots of support around you right now and you are taking care of yourself. Life it so cruel sometimes !
I hope your 'take home baby' BFP is right around the corner, you deserve it sooo much.
(Hugs) Vik x

My AF just came... I can not avoid but to feel sad... And my dh asked me this morning if I thought I was pregnant he really wants us to have a baby...

Well, tomorrow day one for me...

Harry2007 · 08/03/2010 21:45

Babyhoping sorry to hear about af's arrival I know it's easy to say, but try to stay positive - I'm sending positive vibes your way x

Keziah I got just as exasperated with my gp when I was pregnant with my first. I know it was exasperation for a different reason but I totally understand where you're coming from. I sometimes think that doctors forget about the "human" element of their profession. Sounds like you're getting somewhere with the female gp though, so focus on the positive side - I know it shouldn't have taken this long to get the ball rolling, but it sounds as if it's better than the service you've had in the past - and that's another thing that riles me - it's called the National Health Service because it's suposed to provide a service to it's customers ie patients - another thing that some doctors seem to conveniently forget! Rant over...

I hope you're ok brook take care of yourself x

Hi vikks how are you?

Harry2007 · 08/03/2010 21:48

Nanny don't talk to me about houses - we're in the process of buying a new house now and the solicitor is a nightmare. Just found out he only works mornings and doesn't work at all on a Monday - alright for some!

Still feeling lathagic; is walking round a large secondary school anything to do with it. I can't believe we might have a teenager and an infant. I have felt tiered but trying to keep myself on an even keel about this TTC. At the mo I want to leave testing as late as possible as I hate seeing BFN's, if will had anything to do with it we would all be pregnant LOL

HI Harry I am on my third cycle , for my last pregnacy I cam of depo and it took 6 months to get af after it was stopped and then a further 3 months to get pregnant I am hoping that the pill I was on won't have affected things too much. I am just trying to keep my self away from the tests for now if possible till Sunday Monday. THe only thing I worry about now is that I am 37 and more over weight than before, I am not going near the docs for a while as I am sure the fat word would be used as an explitive.

Harry - sadly this female gp got nowhere with hospital releasing dates. So I have to wait .. no referral to normal endocrinologist despite me asking for it, as all I need is medication to reduce high prolactin level!! Apparently I have to see this clinic - and in the joy of choose and book this is the only clinic that has come up on the system, but they are not releasing dates. Am happy at this stage to travel anywhere - isn't that the point of choose adn book, and wait for the fertility appointment when they decide they can release dates. Guess they don't start their 18wk target date if not release appointments!! Wish I could afford to go private at this stage.

Keziahhopes · 09/03/2010 22:40

Hi boba - hello, I have found the CBFM really helpful, it has taught me about my cycle, taken the stress out of when to DTD, has reduced me testing too early - I got mine about cycle 12 ... you may find it takes 20 sticks first cycle to learn about your cycle - but next month will probably not ask for sticks so early etc .

Harry2007 · 09/03/2010 23:13

Really sorry to hear that keziah but I'm really not surprised sadly - as I said, the "human" element is not taken into consideration by the medical profession at times, leaving the very people it's supposed to be helping fighting for an adequate standard of service. Your experience is yet another example ....... BTW, I know not all doctors are completely useless, just the vast majority of them!

Nanny I think I'll join you in testing then - you'll just have to keep me on the straight and narrow til then

Welcome boba this is my first cycle of ttc and of using the CBFM - all good so far...

JustShaggy · 10/03/2010 11:43

Brook - so so sorry ... hugs.x.

Keziah - I have total sympathies with your frustrations. Our GP surgery is utterly crap, and cause HUGE amonuts of stress for me. So much so I plan to try and avoid it totally in my next PG (if I get there) and see if I can go through the local hospital instead. Not sure if its possible yet... Harry is right - many in the NHS seem to forget we're human. My dh heard one of the doctors yelling at a patient over the phone while he was standing at reception one day - three days later the same doc was yelling at me down the phone. The *rsehole.

Nervously adding myself to the stats - officially in the 2WW. Do I set my cycle stats to '1' for each pg? I'm just starting again after a Dec MC.

I have a horrednous trapped nerve in my shoulder today - thought it was trapped wind this morning - I felt like someone was stabbing me in my side, but it's now in my shoulder and radiating down my arm to the tips of my fingers

JustShaggy · 10/03/2010 14:03

Harry -- I've been sitting here deliberating if it is right for me to post this or not because I don't want to freak you out ... but my Dec MC was treated as an ectopic pregnancy and shoulder pain is one of the key and very unusual symptoms. Also abdomen and pelvic pain.

I would assume that CD25 (from your stats) would be too early for what you're feeling, and I would assume it is a trapped nerve, but I'm not a medical expert.

Please do me a favour and phone your early pregnancy centre asap just to be safe and rule it out.

Link to info on ectopics here

And REALLY sorry to alarm you when it is most likely unnecessarily - but I thought it better to be safe than sorry.

essenceofSES · 10/03/2010 17:55

Hello!
Hope you don't mind me barging in on your thread. I bought a CBFM yesterday and now I'm not sure I can use it. Can anyone help?!

We're planning on ttc DC2 from May. DS is 10mo and I'm still BFing and haven't had my first period yet so that's why I'm not sure if I can use CBFM. I do think I've started ovulating as I've started to notice variances in CM.

I'd hoped to use CBFM for a couple of cycles to get to know what my body was doing to hopefully conceive relatively quickly (conceiving DS took a while and 2mmcs).

Does anyone know if I can use it?

Thanks, Ses

Harry2007 · 10/03/2010 19:52

Thanks for the info Shaggy, it's really interesting to know. Pain has dulled quite considerably now, feeling far less sorry for myself. I think cd25 may well be too early and I didn't actually ovulate til cd20, but I have a packet of 25 ultra super sensitive pregnancy tests in the drawer, so I may just do a little one to be on the safe side...

Hi Ses welcome to the thread! I am no expert but I would assume that you can use it from cycle day 1 of your next period. It'll be helpful to know what your cycles are doing but it's worth bearing in mind that it may take a few cycles to regulate. Hope this helps but I'm sure someone else will be along soon to offer some more advice

Nanny01 · 10/03/2010 19:57

How you doing Harry? hope the pain has gone.

Harry2007 · 10/03/2010 20:05

Feeling much better thanks Nanny still a bit tender though. It even affected my hand earlier - the tips of my fingers were tingling and the skin on my hand was mottled as if my circulation was affected. Very odd...how are you, still got plenty of will power?

Nanny01 · 10/03/2010 20:13

Oh my will is weakening but taking it one day at a time. I think Friday is the earliest I am going to test as my cycles sit between 26-28 days. What about you?

Harry2007 · 10/03/2010 20:19

Well I don't feel pregnant, but didn't with my ds either. I think I've resigned myself to the fact that I'm not pregnant this month, don't know why, it's just a feeling. So perhaps I won't test til Monday and that's on the premise that af hasn't arrived by then of course
