Harry ttc#2, cycle1, CBFM cycle2, age 28, ucl 29, cd19

just out of interest, could anyone tell me what the lines on the actual stick you wee on mean - I've noticed that sometimes there's one line, sometimes 2, and they vary in darkness. Can anyone help? This is my twelfth high day, no peak, how odd

Keziahhopes · 04/03/2010 22:43

ooh Vikks Monkey - knew there was a 4th! Thank you

Lucy - I agree, I am into trying anything and found the preseed was good idea as dh's semen analysis said his sperm count was just below normal but was too sticky, they recommended something like preseed! Softcups easy to use too.

Nanny - all the best in 2ww.

Harry - maybe peaks are late/longer cycle? I found my peaks varied a day or two (except this month when had 12 high's in a row, no peak!) And glad you good at organising (as I am no good numbers, just words!) - but thought it was good idea to support us, and to see how many BFP's

Harry2007 · 05/03/2010 07:17

Thanks Keziah I'm on cd 20 now - my 13th day of highs!

Harry2007 · 05/03/2010 09:09

Seems as though I spoke too soon earlier when I said it was my 13th "high" day! Ok, so I hadn't actually tested at that point, just assumed - wrongly

I'VE JUST HAD MY FIRST PEAK DAY - WOOHOO! So I still have issues with it bearing in mind that it's day 20 of my cycle, but it's reassuring none the less

Harry - great you got a peak! Maybe after another month of using CBFM you will see whether it is the same. How old is your first child Harry?

I am fed up - 13th day of high's! A very unusual month.

I am liking the fact that on today's stats there are 5 people ttc and 4 BFP's

lucybarnes sorry to hear your news it's a pain when it dosen't work out last month dh and I took it turns to be to tiered. Hope he gets home soon so your can start next cycle.

As for me noticed soar nipples today would it be to early for that to happen?

Medee · 07/03/2010 08:47

second day of pissing on the stick, day 7 per the machine (actually day 8) and went from a low to a medium which surprised me, given I have a v long cycle. Thought it would stay low for ages yet to come.

Keziah my ds has just turned three

Lucy it must be very frustrating, I can feel your disappointment in the tone of you post. Why don't you add your stats just in the months that you know that you'll definitely be ttc

Sore nipples Nanny - could be a sign, fingers crossed for you x

I had a high reading (2 blocks on the scale) on day 8 Medee. I continued to have a high reading until day 19, 2 peak days on days 20 and 21 and back down to high today which is day 22. It'll be interesting to see what happens next month as this indicates that my luteal phase is v. short - fingers crossed it changes next month.

Medee · 07/03/2010 11:03

ah yes, you are right, high not medium!

BabyHoping · 07/03/2010 21:17

Hi everyone,

As CBFM recognized my first peak two weeks ago and its currently flashing the m sign, I decided to do a pregnancy test today... It was negative... And I used one suposed to be really high sensitive, the: Ultra Early Highly Sensitive 10miu Pregnancy Strip Tests.
Now I feel super anxious cause if I indeed peaked two weeks ago I should either have my period or get a positive pregnancy test, no??? The other option is that I had the LH surge and did not ovulate or ovulated later???
After so many miscarriages all these details mess too much with me...
Also, I stopped testing with CBFM on the day I got my peak (read somewhere that you could do it to save sticks... as you would always get 2 peak days and a high after) and I now think that I should have continued testing just in case the LH surge took longer or came again...

Any thoughts? Shouldn´t I have my period now if the m is flashing?

Harry2007 · 07/03/2010 21:35

I would assume so babyhoping however this is my first cycle using the CBFM so am not really experienced enough to comment. There is a possibilty that you didn't ovulate when the CBFM picked up the surge and that you ovulated later, but seeing that you didn't continue to monitor, it's just second guessing. I think you should definitely keep testing on all days that it asks you to do so this month - I know it means more sticks, but it'll be worth it for peace of mind's sake.

Am I right in thinking this is your first cycle using the CBFM? I have issues with it's accuracy in the first month tbh - it didn't pick up a surge til day 20 with me. The general advice is, the longer you use it for, the more it learns about you and the more accurate it is.

Do you know what day af should actually be due?

BabyHoping · 07/03/2010 21:54

Hi Harry, thank you for replying.
It´s my first time after the last miscarriage in January, but I had used it last year for 2 months so it has already learned a bit about my cycles. And you are right, I remember the first month it gave me a lot of high days. But this time, the surge came earlier than I was expecting but it was very clear and on the next day I got some pain on the ovary, which usually means I´m ovulating... It was exactly 2 weeks ago and AF is supposed to come 14 days after (from what I remember mine used to come around 14 to 15 days after)so I was expecting it today. Let´s see... My hopes of beeing pregnant are really low now, cause with a 10miu sensitive pregnancy test it can give you a positive 5 days before your period...

I really regret not keeping on testing with the monitor... Next month I will for sure be testing everyday...

barrenbrook · 08/03/2010 07:47

Morning ladies,

Sorry to bring a downer on you all, but M/C again Friday. S*hitcakes all round. Not only that but had my best friend round on Saturday for her to tell me she's 13 weeks and present me with a picture of a scan, they weren't even trying and she's had no period for 8 months. WTF!

A rather large kick in the proverbial b*ollocks I think you will agree

Will lurk a little to see how you all get along but am putting the monitor well and truly to bed.

Take care all x

Harry2007 · 08/03/2010 11:04

Really sorry to hear that brook

Take care x

Nanny01 · 08/03/2010 12:00

No other signs for me now I'm anxiously waiting till the end of the week to test or for AF to arrieve.

barrenbrook so sorry to hear it you always try to stay positive and it always seems that others have good news. Sneding you some hugs.

Harry2007 when are you going to test or are you going to waite to see if AF comes. I was going to waite but think I will test near the end of the week as AF would be due a week today so hoping to know one way or another. Tried really hard this month to but it's nothing to do with hard work ect I know.

Hi Nanny - by my records, af should be due on Sunday/Monday but given that I only have one previous non-pill cycle to base this on, I'm not sure exactly how accurate my ucl is! I think i'll wait until Sunday, and if no af or af symptoms, I'll test on Monday morning. I can honestly say that I have no expectations of a BFP though as this is the first cycle and myself and dp have had a very stressful month work wise with little time for BDing. It's a waiting game.....and I'm not a very patient person!!!!
