Thought I'd get a new thread started as we seem to have run out of space

Let's hope this one brings us all lots of luck!

Hi Harry I didn't get my highs till 19 I think last month. Today I got my first high on day 15, I think my cycles are still getting back to normal after the pill. We did managed to bd this morning but had to get up after 30 mins I am hoping that is long enough. I guess tomorrow might be able to encourage dh again. Once the peak has gone does that mean thats that for the egg then?

Harry2007 · 02/03/2010 12:51

Thanks cupc4kes and Nanny

I'm just feeling a bit daunted at the moment

Nanny01 · 02/03/2010 17:09

Harry this my 2nd month and still new to it so don't worry.

barrenbrook · 02/03/2010 17:42

Hi Girls,

Apologies for my slackness in posting, had heaps going on and haven't seem to have had any 'me' time to sit down and post (mainly due to the ever growing puppy I think!)

Anyway, I'm almost scared to 'say' it, but I tested yesterday and (gulp) BFP!

I am now officially shi**ing myself!!!

Hope you are all well, will pop back later (if I can stay awake, not through being pg, through getting up at half 3 this morning for work!)

Keziahhopes · 02/03/2010 19:00

Wow brook that is amazing news

  • how many weeks, do you know?

Gosh, lots of the people who were here at the start of this threat are now pg - fantastic news!!

You must tell us all your secrets! Maybe we need to get a puppy

Harry2007 · 02/03/2010 19:09

Brook Congratulations!!!!!
That's brilliant news, you've got me crying again (all these PG hormones). I'm so over the moon for you mate, you deserve this sooooo much!

Wow that's four of us in the last 2 months, this is the luckiest thread ever. Maybe we should start our own 'CBFM Successes' thread on the ante-natal boards; there's plenty of us and hopefully soon there will be a lot more.

Give us more details when it's sunk in.....good luck honey!

Vik x

cupc4kes · 02/03/2010 20:59

Congrats Brook not spoken to you before but congrats again on your BFP.

Nanny you said this is your 2nd month its mine as well. How have you found this month compared to last. After I have had my peak I always get another high day after that do you?

Medee · 02/03/2010 21:53

How long have people been trying before starting CBFM, and how long on the CBFM til getting pregnant?

Hi cupc4kes I got my first peak yesterday and second today. Last month I got a high after the peak I guess thats natural as the level of hormone goes down. I really like coming on here as at the mo I don't know anyone else who is ttc with 4 kids. I hope there are some nice threads to graduate onto after these.

Harry2007 · 03/03/2010 13:18

Just out of interest - what cycle day are you on?

Harry2007 · 03/03/2010 13:23

I was actually asking Nanny - sorry, I forgot that vital piece of information!

Nanny01 · 03/03/2010 15:47

cd 16 today

salander · 03/03/2010 16:27

just popping back to see how you're all doing and what do mine eyes behold....

brooky!!! that's great noos, well done matey, delighted for you.

medee i was using the monitor for about 7-8 months i think before ending up preggers, others have been shorter or longer. before that had been trying 6mo i think. was just getting fed up with it when it happened!

everyone else - fingers crossed for all

vikks i will see you in the october thread eventually, feels like tempting fate to put name on list!

BabyHoping · 03/03/2010 16:48

Congrats Brook! I hope we get more BFP in the following weeks!

Medee I got pregnant last summer (had a miscarriage...) in the second month of using the monitor. This is my first month of using it after that miscarriage.

Anyone testing this weekend?

Vikks · 03/03/2010 20:51

Medee - 5th month of using the CBFM was my lucky month, we've been TTC for 3 years. Hope your journey is a lot shorter!

Lucy - Hi, thanks for asking, I'm doing well. Baby is due in October, I'm 8 weeks today. FX = Fingers crossed.
How are you getting on?

Salander - So glad you're still with us! Hope you're not suffering with the sickness. I'm still counting down to the 12 weeks too, I feel like I might be able to relax a little then. Did you get an early scan?

Brook - Still POAS? I did about 8 and still didn't believe it! Hope you're well. x

Keziahhopes · 03/03/2010 21:08

Vikks - forgot to ask, is it one or two? How are you feeling?

Medee - I ttc for about a year without CBFM and now 6months using the CBFM. I found it really reassuring to start with, with a pattern of 2-3 high days, 2 peak days, 1-2 high days follwing peaks and then lows. Now I am finding it useful to show that I don't appear to be ovulating - evidence that combined with my 2nd blood test of rising prolactin that I need a referral to endocrinology as well as my initial fertility referral in 8 weeks.

Vikkks and anyone else pg with assitance from fertility clinics - did you stay with NHS or at some point switch to private treatment? We cannot afford to be private all the way, as I moved to part-time work, as I had the opportunity and knew I didn't want to work full-time with children and hoped it would help me conceive and cope with work and pregnancy with my immune disorder et al.

Earlier on the thread people posted their stats in a list so they knew where people were etc, here are mine if anyone wants to add theirs to mine (though the lovely people who were very good at updating them seem to have BFP's )

Vikks · 03/03/2010 22:26

Lucy - I used to chart every day too, it's totally addictive! Good luck x

Keziah - One!!! The nurse did have a good look around just to make sure.
We used the NHS for 6 month and we went private for the last 18 months. Have you started any treatment yet?

Keziahhopes · 03/03/2010 22:33

Oh here are my stats:

Keziah TTC#1, Cycle 18 overall, CBFM cycle 6, Age 34, UCL 28-31, CD 21

BFP's
Salander
Vikks
Barrenbrook
and I more I think!

Vikks - glad you know the number (helpful!)When your little one is more visible on the scan I hope you post a pic
Thanks for info - yes, we were thinking about trying NHS to start, but as am 35 in summer can't cope with long gaps between NHS appointments, but can't equally afford lots of private unless change jobs etc, awkward balance. Already banned any hols just in case need private. No treatment, had 3months of blood tests etc, smear and so on. Go to hospital in 8 weeks.

Lucy charting is the only thing I haven't tried - tried pre-seed (like that, esp as dh's semen analysis said his sperm were "sticky", softcups (easy to use, thanks for advice here!, CBFM!)

Harry2007 · 03/03/2010 22:38

Evening ladies,

I'm quite happy to keep the stats list going so I'll start with mine and if you could all post yours, I'll co-ordinate the list - this is the control freak organisation in me coming out
