Hi everyone!
vikks I´m so glad it went ok. Also its great they will be doing another scan in 2 weeks and you can be much more relaxed and see your baby developing.

Harry2007 i would start bding... lol Sometimes nausea can be a sign you are changing hormone patteen and ovulating!

Harry2007 · 26/02/2010 14:38

Don't worry BabyHoping - I'm on the case

Harry2007 · 28/02/2010 07:14

Hope you're all enjoying the weekend

I have a slight concern - my cycle is usually 28-29 days. I've just tested, today is day 15, and the CBFM still isn't telling me that I'm ovulating - surely today should be the day!

Help

Vikks · 28/02/2010 10:33

Harry - You might have a shorter luteal phase than you thought. Don't worry just yet, give it a few more days. It's amazing how the CBFM can help you learn more about your body, just go with it, it's never been wrong for me.

Keziahhopes · 28/02/2010 17:49

Harry my CBFM has been great every month, but this month I have had 7 high's, still not got a peak - no idea why (unles high prolactin stopping me ovulating) ...

Harry2007 · 28/02/2010 19:42

Thanks for the advice - I know it's my first month of using the CBFM, I just expected to see the egg symbol today at the latest. It's my 8th day of having a high reading. I'm hoping it'll be tomorrow now otherwise I'll be panicking. I know I might just have a shorter luteal phase, it's just that I have high paranoia high expectations of instant normality I suppose. I'm hoping tomorrow will be d-day so I'll keep you posted!

Thanks x

Harry2007 · 28/02/2010 19:43

Sorry, my strike out didn't work

Medee · 28/02/2010 19:58

Hello all; I now have my CBFM and am on day one of my current cycle. I have decided to take a month off for a variety of reasons, to give myself a mental rest, to take some supplements to see if I can reset my long cycle and (very much lastly) to avoid a Christmas baby.

So, my question is this - should I start monitoring this cycle, in order to get an idea of what is going on, or should I wait, and not waste sticks and emotional energy, and just start when I am ready to get going again. I know it would be useful to know what is going on, but at the same time if I got the fertile message, would feel I should be getting on with it!

Harry2007 · 28/02/2010 20:02

Hi Medee welcome to the thread! How long have you been trying for and how long are your cycles usually?

Medee · 28/02/2010 20:04

I came off the pill last June. My cycle length is usually 40-42 days, has been since the first post-pill cycle. This time though was 46 days, hope being cruelly dashed today.

Harry2007 · 28/02/2010 21:19

Ah right, I was only asking because the cut off cycle length for the CBFM is 42 days. If I was you, I'd want to find out what my cycle was actually doing! This is my first month with the CBFM and I wish I'd started monitoring last month just so the this month wouldn't be quite so ambiguoug, for want of a better word!

Harry2007 · 28/02/2010 21:21

Or "ambiguous" even! My typing is atrocious tonight, apologies x

Medee · 28/02/2010 21:50

ambiguoug is a good word! Yes, I knew about the 42 day cut-off when I bought it, so I thought I was OK, until this cycle!

Harry2007 · 01/03/2010 06:44

Just tested - still not ovulating . this is the 9th high day now

BabyHoping · 01/03/2010 09:00

Medee If you´re cycles always tend to be really long, between the 40 and 46 days you can try to use a trick with the monitor and start it later. This means that for instance if your period comes on day one, I would register day one on monitor only at day 5 or something like that. This way you are inside the cutt off and its ok as long as you keep track on how many days you added.
The reason why the monitor is not set up for periods longer than 42 days it is beacuse it is thought that majority of cycles longer than this are anovulatory cycles, but I had a friend that was having cycles of 44 days and still ovulating.

Harry, is this your fist cycle with the monitor? I´ve heard stories where on the first month the monitor does not give peak days, I do not know if this can be the case...

Harry2007 · 01/03/2010 14:27

Hi BabyHoping

It is my first cycle and you may well be right as - TMI alert - I have EWCM today! Yipeee!

cupc4kes · 01/03/2010 15:45

Medee · 01/03/2010 20:25

thanks for that tip, BabyHoping. It's already a day behind.

Harry2007 · 02/03/2010 07:39

Well ladies, I'm now on day 17 of a 28/29 day cycle and still not ovulating - this is cutting it a bit fine for my liking

cupc4kes · 02/03/2010 10:12

Hello Harry it does say in the 1st month you may not get a peak and I do know of someone who got pregnant with just having highs so if you dont get a peak it can still happen xx
