Let's hope this one brings us all lots of luck!

Thanks Harry,
My first miscarriage was the toughest one psycologically (we had seen the baby heartbeat and it was really sad when on the next eco it had stop) but I focused all my energy on getting pregnant again and I try to stay positive.
I understand you feelings of anxiety, I really want to get pregnant again but I can not avoid having mixed feelings. I think after you have a miscarriage getting pregnant again is not the same thing as you are always afraid it will happen again...
I´m very positive this month. I changed doctor and they found out I have a blood coagulation problem that caused the miscarriages. I will have to be closely monitored once I get pregnant but anti-coagulants should work to get a sucessful pregnancy.
In this last year I did a lot of reading and have some experience on the monitor and on trying to conceive so everyone feel free to ask me questions!
I will BD again today and tomorrow, hope it works! I had some pain in my righ ovary this morning so I guess I ovulated today!

Harry2007 · 21/02/2010 21:33

Well your last post sounds very positive babyhoping from the point of your positive mental attitude and on the practical side, change of doctor, diagnosis etc. I'm looking forward to following your journey, hopefully the both of will have some luck - fingers crossed!

Keziahhopes · 21/02/2010 23:52

Harry - I tend to get highs from day 10/11 onwards and hopefully a peak around day 14/15, then a high for 2 days, then go low again. All the best this month.

Babyhoping - glad you managed to find a reason for those miscarriages, and that you are positive this month. How amazing you can feel the pain in ovary - I have never had that. Sorry about those miscarriages.

Well I got my first high of this cycle - so bd here I come tomorrow! After 18months am so fed up of bd with intent now. My day 21 fertility test still lost - goodness knows where those results were sent to, but not to my gp - and I guess I will have to do them again, not where I went before and wait for results again before I can ask for a referral. Knowing my prolactin level is too high to conceive makes me not want to bother ttc until referred to somewhere but I don't want to miss a chance, just in case ..

Harry2007 · 22/02/2010 12:50

Thanks Keziah always ahndy to know how other people's cycle work! It must be soooooooo frustrating to have lost those results though - I think the medical profession sometimes loses touch with the "human" element of the service they provide IYKWIM I can totallly understand how BDing with intent becomes a cjore after 18 months.

I get ovulation pain too babyhoping

Well, no BDing for me last night, we were just too tired. It was the first high of my cycle though and given that it's my first cycle using the CBFM, I wasn't too bothered as I've gleaned from this thread that you get more high reading in the first cycle. I did tell DP that BDing is a must tonight - felt really odd saying it though, no spontaneity and added pressure! Just feels a bit odd

JustShaggy · 22/02/2010 16:02

Babyhoping - Did you have any signs or symptoms that indicated that you had a coagulation problem? I've now had two miscarriages - both last year - and am about to start ttc again this month. I am really fearful but trying hard not to think about it. I won't get tested for any disorders until I've had three miscarriages. Was wondering if there was anything that pointed to this disorder without the tests... IYSWIM. I know what you mean about pregnancies after miscarriage: I yearn for that first time experience again - when I was naive and had high expectations and no idea of what I was about to go through.

BabyHoping · 22/02/2010 16:25

Just - I did not have any signs but the doctor was suspicious due to the fact that the first two miscarriages were after the heart started to beat and they were also missed miscarriages. The coagulation problems end in miscarriages in the first trimester due to the formation of blood coagules in the placenta which starve the embrio... The baby dies slowly and it might take a bit longer to be expulsed by your body, so the missed miscarriage.

The blood exams are not complicated, they test you all the coagulation diseases and I strongly advise on doing this. In my case, the bad gene comes from my father so my mother never had any problem with her pregnancies... When in doubt of blood coagulation problems, several doctors like to prescribe baby aspirin to woman with an history of abortion with very good results. You can look for it in several forums. I´m taking now baby aspirin (100 mg) since I ovulate until I get my period (per doctor orders) and I would say that trying it does no harm... This concentration does not harm the baby and you can take it all the way until the third trimester.

gina84uk · 23/02/2010 13:00

hi all iam back, just got my new cbfm through the door to day so hear it go's again hopefully this time it wont break
so iam just going to start from scratch when my next af come's

vikks how are you getting on?

xxxx

Nanny01 · 23/02/2010 15:50

Hi all
I am on cd 8 and the cbfm has not asked me yet asked me to start testing this is normal. This is my 2nd cycle using it. Oooh want to start my morning ritual again. where is everyone with their cycles at the mo.

Harry2007 · 23/02/2010 16:42

I did read about your previous CBFM malfunction Gina hope the new one brings you luck

I'm on cd10 Nanny - my third day of a "high" reading - it's my first cycle though and I know you get more highs on the first one. I think it's usual to get the high reading a couple of days later from the second cycle onwards.

Vikks · 23/02/2010 20:16

Gina - Glad you're back! When's your new CBFM going on?
Thanks for asking about me! Me and bean are great thanks 6+6 today! Scan on Thursday; I'll fill you in then.

Nanny - Second cycle your CBFM knows you a little better so that's why your high is later. It'll come don't worry!

Hellooo to Everyone else!!

Keziahhopes · 23/02/2010 22:11

Ooh, scan soon! Exciting Vikks Harry - I am on 3rd day of high today too, on CD 13. Too tired to bd, sounds awful doesn't it - sort of giving up ttc almost as not got anywhere afer 18 months. Ignoring husband etc. Mmm...

Harry2007 · 23/02/2010 22:39

You must be really looking forward to your scan vikks how exciting

I've made the decision (after speaking to a friend who's a medical student in PBS and gynae at the mo) that I'm going to bd every other day during my high period -that's still a lot of effort though!

Harry2007 · 23/02/2010 22:40

Should have been obs not PBS obviously!

Nanny01 · 24/02/2010 12:09

Yes used my first test stick. It showed low I am intreaged now when my peak days will be. It's my birthday on sunday so it would be great if I concieved then lol.

BabyHoping · 24/02/2010 18:10

My ovulation has passed... let´s see how it goes this month. I´m not thinking about it in the next days has tehre is nothing else I can do... In more or less 10 days I will test with those super sensitive tests...

Harry I agree with you, the best way is to BD every two days... just try to avoid the doing on purpose message otherwise your husband might get mad... Mine was to tired on my second peak day and I almost had to beg ;). And this month my ovulation came too early and I had no High days so I'm relying on those peak days...

The other time when I used the monitor and got pregnant I have to tell you that I BD everyday since one week before my peak coming, twice on first peak day and once on second peak day... It might seem to much but it worked... This month it was not even comparable but I hope it still works....

Harry2007 · 24/02/2010 20:31

Well i've just been to have some reflexology in the hope that it would help with the baby making process. I've never had it before even though I'm a treatment junkie and I have to say that i'm really impressed. I did tell the therapist that we're ttc so she worked on the areas of my feet that related to the uterus, ovaries etc, so watch this space!

Keziahhopes · 24/02/2010 21:14

Just found out my prolactin level raised even higher, now over 830 and needs to be below 496 to conceive, not too great that! Am writing this month off.

Hope you get the peak for Sun Nanny. All the best for 10 days time BabyHoping

BabyHoping · 25/02/2010 08:38

Hi everyone...
I have a doubt. I´m in my CD 17, got the first peak day at CD13 and stopped testing on that day. On CD 14 I had a slight impression on one of my ovaries which usually means I´m ovulating.

Today I´m feeling ovary pain, stronger than the other day and also in the morning I had what it looked like EWCF... Why could this be? If the monitor says youçre peaking it´s because it detected the LH and you have to ovulate in 48 hours so it does not make any sense having these symptoms... What I´m speculating is that the ovary pain might be the corpus luteum and that the EW might acually be some leftovers of sunday, inclusively they say that when you BD you might have secretions with the same look.

Any opinion? In these days I get stressed with everything... My husband got sick monday so we are not BDing anymore and I thoung I had it covered over the weekend... I should probably have continued using the monitor...

Nanny01 · 25/02/2010 13:02

Finaly got a high so need to encourage dh for some bd action but he's had some bad news that work isn't good and some people are going to loose their jobs; fortunatly not him but it's made us worried. We are still TTC though, at least we can distract ourselves

gina84uk · 25/02/2010 22:26

hiya vikks how did ur scan go?
i have no idea when it will go on as i had an af on 26 jan and again on the 12 feb so now it's just a waiting game
but hope all is well
xx

Vikks · 26/02/2010 09:16

Gina Thanks for asking. It was totally amazing and very emotional, of course I cried through the whole thing. The little heart beat was so obvious and such a relief to see. Everything looked as it should; good blood supply and it?s in a good position.
The nurses were brilliant too and so happy for us, they were the same ones who I?d had for all my treatments. I got photos too and they are giving me another scan in two weeks!
Hope your waiting game isn?t too long and you?ll be joining me soon. FX

Nanny Hope you got your ?action?!

Hoping Don?t worry about it too much, they are now saying that swimmers can live for up to 7 days! I?m sure you?ve got this month covered, just settle in to your 2WW. Good luck!

Keziah Sorry to hear about your prolactin levels, is there treatment?

Harry The reflexology sounds great, I?m very jealous?..might have to see if DH will treat me.

Shaggy How are you getting on? What CD are you now? Thinking of you?..

Monkey & Salander Hope everything is well with you and your 'beans'. Are you still around?

Harry2007 · 26/02/2010 12:48

Hi all,

I'm feeling awful today, nausea, headache - if I didn't know any better I'd say I was pregnant! I'm on cd 13 now so I assume d-day will be at some point over the weekend.

So glad about the scan vikks there's nothing that puts your mind at rest more than seeing that little heartbeat

Hoping like vikks said, it sounds like you've got it covered!

Nanny01 · 26/02/2010 12:53

This is my second day now of highs so hopefully the peak will come soon. DH is obliging me so am taking advantage

gina84uk · 26/02/2010 13:47
