Curly - oh my god!!!!!!!! That picture is so cute and so exciting! Well worth the £75 I reckon. How brilliant to be able to tell people about it over Christmas.

My CBM finally gave me the much anticipated "peak" message this morning! Which confirms that we have been BDing at totally the wrong time every month - CD10-15 when we should have been doing it CD18-19. So the £65 I spent on the bloody thing was worth it just to know that. Feeling much more in control of this now, even if I don't manage to get pg this month.

Sevans - Im glad to hear that your DH is being such a star. I hope that if the major loss does come this week that it won't be too painful physically

Afternoon all

Good to hear from you Spirael, even though you are getting MS. Bet you can't wait till your scan now you've seen Curly's!

Yes Curly, we really do get all 'partied out' at this time of year! We earn v good money though, which sees us through the early part of the year when things are more quiet. (The joys of being self-employed - take the work when it's there and save for when it's not!)

Great news about getting your peak pixie, good luck with it all.

Thanks for updating the list again kkas.

Dh and I are still on track for every other day and we're both really enjoying it The couple of months off seem to have given us a new lease of life (let's hope they create one too!).

MadameG · 08/12/2009 13:16

Hi everyone, how are we all? 36 days since my last period. It's really getting me down, I wish it would just bloody come so I can get on with TTC. [ANGRY]

Ozziegirly · 09/12/2009 00:22

No news from me really - hanging out to test on Sunday or Monday I think.

I haven't really had any symptoms apart from feeling a bit sick in the night a couple of times, but I feel fine in the day, so it's probably a coincidence.

Interesting about the fertility monitor. If I'm not PG this month, we have been faithfully shagging around CD12 - 15 for 9 months, with no result. I have a regular cycle and so I can only think either that there is something not working with the sperm (and DH is v healthy) or we are just not bonking at the right time.

So next month I'm going to go all guns blazing with temping, OPKs, I have ordered "Taking charge of your fertility" as well.

I've been taking it pretty easy up until now, but maybe I do need to try a more focussed approach!

Then I figure if nothing happens after 4-5 cycles of being more scientific, I can at least go to the Dr, feeling that we have done everything we can to make it happen.

bunnygirl80 · 09/12/2009 03:37

Thought I'd update the list even though it's stupidly early in the morning for most of you! Hope it's right - looks like there's a few of us coming up to testing time....hopefully that means a few BFPs before xmas!

Hi everyone,

Sorry for not been around much at the moment but have so much going on at the moment, work is really busy and then we have no internet at home at the moment!! (feel like my arm has been cut off!)

Will do a proper post once I have internet at home again but wanted to let you know i am still about and still reading all your messages.

Curly I have to say that your photo made me cry, its amazing. I am so pleased for you and just cant wait until other people get their BFP's.

Well I still feel sick but done another pregnancy test (they were £1.44 for 3 from asda - this could be leathal for a poas addict like me ) - BFN which I knew deep down as I had just finished my AF! In BD'ing period at the moment so at least I am on the fun bit but it has been a bit sparse at the moment what with everything going on so not holding out much hope!

vix206 · 09/12/2009 09:48

Hey everyone, I got a BFP yesterday and another one this morning (although worryingly it was a little fainter than yesterday's) so I am very tentatively hoping everything will be okay.

Used internet cheapies and the lines both times were faint, AF is due Friday so if I am AF free then I will take a First Response I think...

kkas · 09/12/2009 09:54

congrats vixie!!!!! so happy for you. let us know how you get on with FR. I have added you to our grads list

CONGRATS VIX!!!!! that's wonderful news. And thanks again for all the lovely comments about my pic. Here's hoping vix has started a run of BFPs

Thanks everyone! I do feel I tested too early though and to be honest all I am doing is feeling anxious... Need to get through the weekend with no AF and then I may relax a little!

vix206 · 09/12/2009 16:56

I just took a FRER and got a nice thick strong pink line! Used IC at the same time with same urine sample and got nothing, no line at all. Both my previous lines on the Ic's were very faint too so I think I'll be leaving those alone to prevent further worrying! babydust to you all

hamsterlover · 09/12/2009 18:58

Congratulations Vix - soo exciting for you!
Well, I got my AF today which means that this cycle has only been 27 days. Not sure whats happening, especially as was pretty sure that I ov'd late on day 20! Am thinking of getting the clear blue fertility monitor cos at least then I might have a clue about whats going on.
Good luck to all of you testing in the next few days.

CONGRATULATIONS to Vix that's brilliant! Yayyyy another BFP for us!

Pixie I'm starting to want a fertility monitor myself! Temping and CM isn't really getting me anywhere and I think it's a great idea. Do you think my sis would be if I asked for one for my christmas (joking!)

Hiya Whiteroses that's awful about the poor man and nobody stopping... but remember you stopped and helped him, so he got the care he needed in the end. It's lucky for him you were walking past. The same thing happened to me in the West End of Glasgow last year, it was an old lady who fell on the pavement. Nobody stopped until I had gotten her sitting against a shop wall and called the ambulance. Then folk came out of the shop to help her. It is shocking isn't it. I hope you manage to have fun at MIL's birthday xx ps are you testing? Fingers crossed if so!

Ozziegirly that's a brilliant book you've ordered... I found mine 2nd hand in oxfam and it's really encouraging, easy to follow etc. You can read it page by page or just use the index to find whatever you're checking. It's got pictures of diff types of CM and everything! Best of luck!

Hamsterlover awww booooo we both started AF on the same day. Just keep thinking 'it's a whole new cycle, this is the one!' Well I'm spotting but I've been sooooo PMTish - yesterday I came home with the office keys in my pocket (doh!) and had to go in half an hour early this morning to open up grrr! Does anyone else get a bit daft around that time? I also get clumsy, bumping into tables for a day or two before AF arrives!

I did try one of my cheapy amazon pg tests yesterday, BFN of course but now I know how it looks and although I was certain AF was on the way, I still got all excited! I'll have to lock them away so I don't get hooked on them this cycle!

CJ shagalicious baybee LOL have fun

Homebound and Honeymoo thanks very much for the words of wisdom re: smoking, tonight's the night I stop, I've got 3 left so that's it as I had spotting today. I'm really really keen to stop anyway, not just for TTC but I know how stupid it is and hate that nicotine has such a hold on me. I can do it! I can do it!

Eeek haven't finished but DH needs back on the PC. Night night for now girls! Sticky sticky thoughts for Vix and luck to everyone who is bonking, testing or just awaiting one or the other xxx

Congratulations Vix Whiteroses It always makes me feel really that people will just walk by someone who obviously needs help. At least you stopped and made sure the man was taken to hospital.

Hope everyone else is OK

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 09/12/2009 22:18

Hi all.

Lovely picture Curly, really cute. Definately worth the £75 investment!

Vix what exciting news! Congratulations! Hopefully yours is the first of many BFPs this month.

Was to hear your account of the old man being ignored this evening WhiteRoses. It's so sad that people are to busy and preoccupied to help. Which makes it all the more important that you did.

DH and I started off on our couple of weeks of BDing with enthusiasm at the weekend, but have been faltering somewhat in the last couple of days. Poor soul is now alseep on the sofa. As fertility friend reckons we have a week to go till O-Day, then I might let him off tonight.

Good luck to all those coming up for testing. Remember its not over till AF arrives, so as long as she's not here then there's still a chance for a BFP, many BFNs not withstanding.

Ozziegirly · 09/12/2009 22:32

Congraulations vix that's wonderful news! Lovely to get the BFPs.

Very to hear of the old man too - we will all be old someday and it's horrid to think of people just standing by and letting someone suffer. Well done for stopping and helping Whiteroses.

NovemberAli · 09/12/2009 22:35

Big congratulations to Vix, lets keep fingers crossed for a rush of BFPs before Christmas .

Thank you for sharing your picture Curly, lovely to see the end result of all this stress

Just got my first positive OPK, so hoping have timed things well this month - BDing the past three days, tonight and tomorrow before DP goes off on a boys weekend away

vix206 · 09/12/2009 23:15

Whiteroses - I felt like someone had punched me in the chest from about 3 dpo and a very mild queasy feeling. Bloating too but the main giveaway for me was my bbs being so achey and my nipples felt like they had been sunburned. Sorry if tmi but these were my symptoms! Am now 11 dpo and feeling the same way but needing to pee more and also getting very hungry.

Good luck girls and thanks all for the congrats and well wishes I am sprinkling you all with babydust!!!
