kkas sorry just seen your post, hope today gets better for today. I hate days like that when everything goes wrong!

maamalady · 19/01/2010 12:36

Congratulations pixie! Welcome to all our new people too

Lipstie · 19/01/2010 13:02

Congratulations Pixiestix!!

Calyx · 19/01/2010 17:55

OMG what has been happening!!! This is brilliant! CONGRATULATIONS pixiestix and madameG and hobnob! Yippeeeeeee! This IS a lucky thread.

Welcome to Lipstie, gosh and anyone else who I've missed since my last post YESTERDAY - I mean, lots of new folk and lots of news. I can't catch up just now, just no time. Arghhhh!

I'm just in BD mode at present, we have managed to do it on days 11 and 12 (and I'm planning on ambushing DH again today) but haven't really had any EWCM this month so I don't know if I'm going to ov today, tomorrow or even next week. Usually around days 13 or 14 and temp might have been low this morning so could go up tomorrow morning. In fact he's definitely getting ambushed now I come to think about it.

kkas I hope the rest of your day has been better today. You poor thing!

eadwacer you made me LOL with 'feeling all lupine and hippyish' not taking your pill. Your comments about not taking them TOTALLY rang bells with me, I remember feeling like that!

claireinthecommunity · 19/01/2010 18:06

Wow, congratulations Pixie that's fab news That graduates thread is really filling up now

Welcome Lipstie glad you found us.

Bunny, you need to enroll on to the recruiters course

Any news from Sparkly? or did I miss it?

Kkas, hope you're feeling a bit better now I had a bit of a moment today too, went to do the big food shop and my car wouldn't start!, my head then filled with all sorts of worries about it costing a fortune to fix and I began to feel really anxious. Anyway, used DH car to get to Tesco and when I got back tried my car and it started! (something to do with the electronics cutting off the fuel). Life always throws little obstacles in our way and with the underlying stress of TTC, things can get too much sometimes and we need a little cry - I know how you feel

Hermya321 · 19/01/2010 18:21

Pixie OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations I;m so happy for you!!!

Welcome Lipstie and Seablue, serioulsy this is a lucky thread!

Zippys I agree with you I hate driving home in the dark, I always seem to end up on a road where people decide that driving with their full beams on is acceptable.

Kkas Sorry about your awful day, I hope things got better. Was it nice make up at least? I always beleive you can never have enough blusher, mascara and lip gloss as a girl. We need choices in this life. LOL

Claire 'The Crazy Baby Lady Cult' has the be the name of our next thread

Calyx Ambush ambush my girl!!!

I have had a terrible day, I swear I have turned into a walking hormone. I had a terrible drive home from work along some of the back roads which are so bad at the moment. They don't have cats eyes or even road markings in some places and everybody seemed to have their lights on full beam. I was so dazzled by them all and now I have a headahce. I got so mad that I started swearing and cursing at them and their cars and then I burst into tears because I felt so guilty. Seriously, I'm not an emotional girlie girl. But I swear I feel like I've become unhinged these past few days. I have had cramps like you wouldn't believe and my sleep has been disturbed as well. I now remember why I went on the pill in the first place. Sorry if I'm ranting, I don't mean to be a bore. Plus on top of that my friend had a DS today and I nearly burst into tears in front of everyone when I received the text anouncing his arrival into the world.

I can only imagine the depths of hormonal hell that will be unleashed when I get pg. I'll end up in the paper as the 'pregnant lady in road rage incident'.

Please someone tell me to get a freaking grip!

zippys · 19/01/2010 18:45

Oh dear it must be a hormal day. I too had a bad afternoon. Basically got told off at work for working too hard ( long story) very unlike me I burst into tears and couldn't stop. Never cry at work usually really string person work wise!! Had to also go straight from bosses office to lunch to buy some make up to make myself decent!! Even now I am home I feel teary and emotional!

hermya I too worry what I will be like with pregnancy hormones. Does anyone know if mine could be related to ovulation?

Anyway posting from phone so can't write too much. Dp has promised me champagne in the bath when he gets home to cheer me up and he will be here on a min

let's hope tomorrow is a better day for all of us.

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 19/01/2010 18:54

Hooray hoorah for Pixie!!

Fantastic news, I am so pleased for you.

Sparkly any further news? have you tested again yet?

Welcome Lipstie and Seablue, you join us at a propitious time.

Hope your day got better kkas and the AS pants do the trick tonight. Hope your leaping is successful as well zippys and Calyx There's a space for you all on the graduates thread and I would like february to be as full of BFPs as January is turning out to be.

I have a small confession to make rebuying baby clothes - I have bought a few Little White Vests in the Mamas and Papas sale, but as lots of my friends and family are producing offspring at the moment, I am giving most things away. However, I have researched the baby stuff market pretty thoroughly, so I will know what to buy should I ever get pregnant.

And with that end in mind, I'd best go and leap on DH...

claireinthecommunity · 19/01/2010 19:42

Oh, sorry, I didn't welcome Seablue Welcome to the thread Seablue

Sounds like quite a few of us have had difficult days today, hope you all have a good evening

Yeah, maybe the next thread title could be: 'The continuing adventures of the first time frolickers, aka, 'The Crazy Baby Lady Cult'

Yorkshire, I've researched well too, I know exactly what I will buy, just need the baby now...

kkas · 19/01/2010 19:56

zippys and hermya - so sorry to hear about your hard days. mine didn't get much better tbh (colleague announced pg... close friend moving back to NZ) but it's nice to know i'm not the only "walking hormone" i think you might be right zippys about it being linked to ov. i always seem to be on the verge of tears around this time of the month which doesn't seem to help with the BDing! but it does help to vent here with you guys...

misshoohaa · 19/01/2010 21:05

Hi all,
I'm a newbie too, but have been checking your posts really as 'research' for my own selfish symptom spotting!!!

Pixie, I have had a look at your thread and they sound like some symptoms I have......... the stretching just under my left rib cage, like stabbing pains 3 or 4 times last week, and no kindof feel like my AF is here, but it's not, not so much crampig as a slight twinge inbetween my belly button and lady bits! Plus my right nipple is feeling like someone is pinching it! My issue is BFN's..........perhaps I just need to wait it out a few days. day 32 or usual 28 day cycle. Any other symptoms you can share

Anyway congrats to all the graduates, best of luck for the next few months, positive sticky thoughts to you all!!

aly323 · 20/01/2010 00:07

Yay Pixie!!!! Lucky cycle 7! What excellent news!

Kkas,Zippys and Hermya, I get very emotional and hormonal when I ovulate and can totally relate! I'm sorry to hear about the crying at work. That's just the worst. It happens to the best of us, though. Sorry you all had such crappy days. I've actually had a couple of good days... it'll change soon enough.

Welcome to misshoohaa, Seablue and Lipstie. Not only is this a lucky thread, it's also a thread full of great, supportive and understanding ladies. This thread rocks! We're losing so many (in a good way!), it's great to add more!

Morning all! Just had a bit of a catch up, thank you for all your kind words and sympathy in my walking hormonal state. It made me feel a lot better and a lot less like a crazy person.

I also apologise for my terrible spelling on my last post. It seems my hormones have more free reign than I thought.

Whiteroses Thank you for your kind words, I saw a piccy of my friends DS (which also sent me off in a tailspin of wibbleys) and well it will be worth it at the end of it all won't it. I hope things are going well with your midwife, let us know how it goes.

Claire Zippys I hope you both have better days today!!

oooo welcome Misshoola as well!

zippys · 20/01/2010 08:21

Morning everyone

Welcome to misshooha, and Seablue Misshoolaa its not over until you get AF so you never know

Kkas - Hope your AS undies did the trick, and let hope both us and Claire have a better day today. Even when talking to my DP I was upset lasy night.

Calyx - Hope your ambush went well last night Its strange isnt it, if you think about it, yesterday we knew who would be having sex last night - only on MN!

Yorkshire - I agree with Whiteroses - "so I will know what to buy should I ever get pregnant in February".

I think the next thread title will be the longest yet - however I also agree with the boob jiggling - I will be boob jiggling myself in a week or so

White Hope everything goes well at your appointment - the last few months you didnt have a BFN so try not to worry too much - I know easier said than done.

Sparkly - I hope it was good news when you retested.

Well last night I got home and we had a lovely bath with champagne, then had a takeaway so I didnt have to cook and then had an early night

Did however feel really sick again this morning so going for another blood test today and then got another doctors appointment on Friday.

bunnygirl80 · 20/01/2010 10:14

Right - I have decided that you lot need to move closer to Oz so I don't have 2 pages of posts to catch up with every time I log on-it takes up too much of my day Am starting new job tomorrow at 8am - may have to ring and tell them I'll be late as I'll be on MN!!!

Congrats Pixie - cycle 7 definitely seems to be lucky for a lot of people!

From my observations of the TTC threads I'm on I have come to the following conclusion. Most people seem to get BFPs on cycle 1 , cycle 3, or cycle 7. I have therefore come to the conclusion that I only need to obsess on those cycles as clearly it can't happen at any other time .

I have changed my cycle number on the stats as I am now 100% certain that DH and I were 10000 miles apart when I ov'd on my first cycle off the pill and so I'm no longer counting it as a TTC cycle, merely a practice run. This puts me back on cycle 3 again, increasing my chances of a BFP this month!!!

Hope all those of you who had bad days are feeling better today.

Welcome newbies-I'm not actually as mad as my posts make me sound......honest

bunnygirl80 · 20/01/2010 10:23

Oh, forgot to add that I found out today that a guy I used to work with's wife is 7 months pregnant. He lives in the UK and she is in the middle east and he only sees her once every six months so they must literally have only had to bd once to get a baby

I am actually that they have to live so far apart and actually won't get to live with his wife and baby until the baby is about 9 months old so he will miss out on so much, and his wife will have to cope alone.

kkas · 20/01/2010 10:27

thanks for the kind words guys. my day is going better today so far.

zippys i know it's strange to think everyone here knows when you're gonna get some action! but also fun in some weird way!

whiteroses last night was a bit surreal. i decided it was best just to get everything out in the open with DH. so instead of using my womanly wiles (is that a word?) after dinner i just said, "so i don't suppose you'd be up for a shag tonight, eh?" seems he was only too willing to oblige unfortunately it wasn't meant to be... but i managed to keep it together and assure him everything was ok and was happy that at least we had 'tried'. that's all i ask, etc. etc. so anyway, looks like it's game over for me this month as timing was not very good. but i'm joining yorkshire in the 'i'm going to get pg in february' queue. we are on holiday for a week in feb, it's DH's birthday, and he's promised to start seeing a reflexologist for some stress relief. surely we must get lucky timing-wise next month!

aly glad to hear you've been having a good few days. i was looking back at my journal from when i first started TTC in august and when i joined this thread. sadly, i know, i made a list of who was here when i started and have been putting stars next to their names as they got BFPs. most of us who were there at the time have gotten their BFPs. you, sky (does anyone know where she's gone?) me and, sadly, sevans are the only ones left! but i'm sure it's our time soon. and it's so nice to have so many join us since then. can't wait for the new 'crazy baby lady cult aka the boob jigglers' thread!

welcome to the new faces and thanks for updating the list zippys

kkas · 20/01/2010 10:29

morning bunny x post - rofl about your 'cycle analysis'. entirely justified to change to cycle 3 of course! but this only adds to my hopes that next month will be lucky for me. thanks!

kkas · 20/01/2010 10:32

bunny just reading my message back and not sure if that 'thanks' sounds sarcastic.... if so, it wasn't meant to be and sorry! i really do think cycle 7 will be lucky

pixiestix · 20/01/2010 12:22

Bunny - lol at your cycle tampering. Are you going to be one of those women that gets to thirty and then gets a year younger with every birthday? No, seriously, it sounds like you have good grounds to knock a cycle off. Good luck for number three!

Misshoolaa - those sound like good symptoms! Try and wait a couple of days and test again, or alternatively use a CBD. I used a Sainsburys cheapy and my line was quite faint, but the Digi told me in nice, no-messing around text that I was pg Cant argue with that!

Hope your blood test goes well today Zippys and you get some answers soon.

Sorry to everyone who had a crap day yesterday. I am having quite a crap day today which is stupid as I'm supposed to be wildly happy after getting my BFP. [selfish emoticon] I'm just so worried and paranoid. Like WhiteRoses was saying about her cycle, I'm on CD29 today and last month my cycle lasted 33 days. So I'm looking out for every twinge and pain in my stomach, and feeling imaginary CM at every minute, thinking its going to be blood Is that too much information? Will just be so relieved to get the next month or two out of the way. Anyone got a crystal ball I can borrow?

OP posts:
seablue · 20/01/2010 15:18

pixiestix crystal ball in the post to you now.

So nice to read about other people's enforced shags at this auspicious time of the month! DH is incredibly tired and stressed at the moment with a new job. We've organised this week to be shagtastic (ah, the romance of it!) but I can't help feeling that it's all a bit pointless when we're both stressed. CD13 and no smiley face - go for it anyway tonight? (didn't last night, did on Monday) or forget about it until tomorrow when I'd hope the Smiley One would have appeared?...

Are you girls every dayers or every other dayers at his crucial moment?

seablue · 20/01/2010 15:19

sorry - that should read "at this crucial moment"!
