idealcamel · 07/11/2009 11:49

I is SOOOO bored with waiting to SWI (is becoming geordie in my head, that acronym -swaay-ai) too. One of husband's colleagues has just had a baby, so it is feasible for people in super-high stress jobs to conceive, so WTF is happening with me?

Cos! Where are you?

Scorpette · 07/11/2009 11:57

Shall I just walk round randomly waving, Cunty? Or is there anywhere more specific you'd like me to look like a loon? Am happy to say hello to anyone, so long as you don't mock the stripy woolly tights which I am planning on wearing Can I rub* your tummy for luck?

*Widdershins.

Solution to toddler tantrum no 567549

shove pipe cleaners into 2 googly eyes then attach to a pine cone. Notice toddler forgetting to sob every now and then as they try to work out what you're doing. Then introduce them to Mr Googly. Apparently they have no quality control so the novelty totally outweighs the fact the thing looks like shit. Hurrah.

Hello CHEGGGGGS!!!! ace to hear from you mate, have been wondering how tis all going, specially as you were having such a rough time. How many weeks now? How are you? The tights sound vile. Pregnancy, fucking glamorous innit?

Well I had a terrible nights sleep, mani was a nightmare. Mr gin took him for brekkie etc so I could have a lie in,and then made me coffee and banana pancakes. Ooo I loves 'im I does.

cos did mention it may be a while til she brings us piss news. Am sitting around in me jammies waiting to hear though-fingers crossed n that.

ginhag · 07/11/2009 12:24

Ps carrots we only started thread yesterday! Can't be bad karma yet. Chill sistah!

givecarrotsachance · 07/11/2009 15:10

gin you're right, of course

scorps of course I really appreciate the info though (no I mean it). I mean, you were being kind to try to help and I appreciate it. I really was only joking about the finger waving .

Anyone heard from cos???

Cosmosis · 07/11/2009 16:45

Comupter says no.

Am frankly totally gutted. Both tgo and I were utterly convinced this month. And I can now feel the mad tide of hormonal pmt anger washing over me, so I don't really doubt the result.

Sorry to take so long to post, I know you've all been waiting. Went out on bikes in the mud to make us feel better. Oh well, at least I don't have to find an excuse about why I'm not getting drunk at the bonfire tonight

Aerie · 07/11/2009 17:26

Ah Cos, kick in the shins and a proper BESH hug from me too. So so sorry - what a load of ARSE!!!

Scorpette · 07/11/2009 17:34

Oh, Cosmo I really thought you were going to win this month. Mind you, I really thought I was going to win this month too It's been a crap month for diffing. I think I know what's going to be on a lot of BESHes' List for Santa this year...

I predict a whole lotta boozed-up, lazy, lardy Xmas Day updiffing too

givecarrotsachance · 07/11/2009 17:42

Me too cos. Bad luck old girl (pretending to be old school coz they hit each other with lacrosse sticks - very violent).

C'mon, let's get on with it... what's wrong with us??? Where are our baybeez?

ginhag · 07/11/2009 18:06

cos so sorry mate. It's horrible when you are sure this is it and it turns out it isn't.

I have made you an extra special firework night cocktail. It's a flaming inferno and when I set it on fire you have to drink it through this straw. It will make you very drunk, and if the test run on me earlier this year is anything to go by,you will have at least one impassioned, nonsensical argument with a total stranger.

Hugs, violence n all that shit. Thinking of you.

ginhag · 07/11/2009 18:24

and carrots I hereby request quite firmly that you are a bit more positive...especially as you've been trying for less than 6 weeks! Doom is not neccessary.

givecarrotsachance · 07/11/2009 18:38

Oh gin I'm not trying to be negative. I'm sorry. Seriously, I'm a very positive person. I'm just not posting well.

Glad to see you are up to date on my stats, unlike scorp [ROFL emoticon]

givecarrotsachance · 07/11/2009 18:43

OK to take gin's telling off firmly to heart I decided I'm going to POAS tomorrow.

It's too early, I've no symptoms and no reason to think it's a good idea but I'm being really positive.

And it's an excuse to POAS for the hell of it

extremesitting · 07/11/2009 19:02

There'll be no baybee from me from Santi. I won't be anywhere near OH to make babies next cycle. Instead of bawling (again) today, I'm making a solemn vow to pray to the baybee beesjasus for you all instead. Positive energy and all that.

I knew two people who had severe endometriosis (if thats how you spell it) when I went traveling the world a few years ago. i prayed in every likkle church/ faith based premises I came across along the way (I can't help it - southern irish cathaholic) and they both got baybees thanks to my hard work. I will not be near any churches this month, but I will make small prayers for my besh mates all the same. It's got to work again

Scorpette · 07/11/2009 19:47

SaintExtreme, I just want you to know that I find that genuinely touching (in case you read the big religion bust-up in the last thread and think the unbelievers would scoff). Prayers = v positive feelings + love + hope and that's something everyone can believe in. Do Atheists like me get extra prayers? I want a baybee more than I want to be right

kimdeal · 07/11/2009 20:40

Cos booh... if one small ray of light, August babies (and I am one) tend to be dreamers who come bottom of the class since they are so young (or that was my excuse anyway). They are also more likely to end up in prison. But they like luxury and are natural leaders. Oh hang on, now science and stars merge.

Gin - I was agunna post yesterday but had zero of interest to say (unlike today, clearly). Snort at Mani and his beers, the lamb. As for Mrs Mazzy Star, oh men, they all fall for her. Her and PJ Harvey. Or at least all the men I go out with. Is she still pretty, then? Can you come on that facecrack thingy since I am sworn off this site apart from you and that ponybumslag. extreme, sweetlass, thump. It has been shown (if I put it in the third person, it makes it right; right?) that prayer does work. Some experiment where they got one group of people to pray for x, another not to pray for y, and a third just to think about z. And x happened. Or something. Oh hell, I'll have to ask my (RC) mum about it. But I happen to know that my good karma DOES work ok, and I'm sending it out now. Does it feel good? Perv, etc.

givecarrotsachance · 07/11/2009 22:34

Well I did it tonight. Was going to wait till morning for maximum levels but figured it would be BFN so didn't bother. It was, but bizarrely that's fine by me and has stopped me obsessing.

Will try again Wednesday which is about 4 days before 15 days post estimated ov, which is soonest test says is possible to get a BFP.

idealcamel · 07/11/2009 22:39

I'm an August baby, too. No one wants one of those.

Had to go to the Early Learning Centre today - is our best man's daughter's first birthday next week, and we're seeing the family for brunch tomorrow. So many cute things, but why are kids toys so gendered? Kitchens for girls and tool boxes for boys? Why?

ginhag · 07/11/2009 22:57

camel mani was born with a love of diggers, trucks etc etc. Is weird. However he also loves pretend cooking, and feeds me 'p'tend cheesy biscuits' every morning (he is very into pretending. Also has p'tend guitar, piano and regularly pretends our bed is a boat or a train.)

he does seriously love things with wheels though. Apparently is cos they go round n round...(??)

kimpuff yo yo yo. Yeah facefuck I intend to sort. Glad you good though my biiiatch.

ginhag · 07/11/2009 22:59

Ps extreme you are luvverly. If you ever want a rl pint sometime let me know. Unless that is too weird!

ginhag · 07/11/2009 23:07

My dad is making mooch a cooker for Christmas.will be an improvement on the one I built out of lego!

givecarrotsachance · 08/11/2009 09:08

Morning everyone

I hate hate hate the gender toy thing. I always try to buy gender-neutral toys. For instance my last gift to a bday party child was a large dragon jigsaw (happened to be FT from eco friendly rubberwood ) with the alphabet on each piece. It was for a girl and was gorgeous for either sex. It was educational, colourful and fun.

Littecarrot has been getting all sorts of things like Transformers and Action Man which firstly I don't like much as they're Chinese and plastic, totally un-eco and probably made by children, but secondly I don't find they have the same play-ability as things which need more imagination. Don't get me wrong, I'm very grateful and he's having fun with them, but he tends to move back to the imagination toys much more often.

I rather like Moon Sand. It's good for boys and girls and has loads of play potential. Otherwise craft boxes of all kinds are good, especially as it gives something for a parent to do with the child, which a Transformer doesn't.

I am into proper positive mode today. I'm feeling much more chilled having POAS and am just waiting to see what happens later in the week. I'm a September baby and littlecarrot's October and to be honest I would be happier with a baby Sept onwards (not that I would be unhappy with a July or August one, obviously... )

Off to see Up today so will catch up tonight.

givecarrotsachance · 08/11/2009 09:09

BTW what's happened to the 's face??

CUNextTuesday · 08/11/2009 11:40
