PMSL at the thought of taking photos of your nipples. Must try that when I get onto the 2 week wait.

I think the bit before ovulation is the worst bit. At least you can have fun doing mad symptom spotting in the 2ww. At the moment I'm just staring at my pants trying to work out when exactly I'll ovulate. I have been contemplating thermometers but it's only month 2, I really can't face getting that precision yet.

Scorpette · 15/11/2009 23:33

Ignore them, Muser. They're just jealous because I rise above their foolish 'am I updiffed?' hysteria at all times.

Scorpette · 15/11/2009 23:37

Polly, I think you deserve this I hadn't even thought of doing something like that! And I will won't be giving it a try, either

Still, if you don't win a baybee this time round, you could make a few quid from Reader's Wives...

(Hope you do win, mind)

skihorse · 16/11/2009 07:16

Thank you everybody for all your lovely comments and thank you cunty for posting my news. I am still without internet at home and although the customer service people are lovely they don't seem to be able to connect me due to my moving from one area phonecode to another and it's made their computer systems say "no". I can get it on the PDA but it's a total pita and I can't reply to mn.

Well I've obviously had a super weekend. Friday afternoon I was quite "tired and emotional" and crampy and I thought it was all over - I also just couldn't believe that the BESH girls could get that lucky over the course of a few days.

Saturday morning I woke at 6 as normal, no blood so went for it. The line came up before I'd even finished my pee. There was no "darling, can you see anything" needed at all. I didn't even actually feel that surprised by it - I felt "vindicated" actually if that can make any sense at all.

What did I do different this month?
i) During my OV time we moved from a 3-storey house to a 1-bed flat and yes, the washing machine WAS on the top floor of the house.

ii) During those moving days I didn't eat anything which didn't come from a drive-thru or a petrol station.

iii) Said move had me chainsmoking.

iv) Cosmosis and I discussed acupuncture and chinese medicine and looked at some websites. It's clearly powerful stuff but we only discussed it...

However, I think the thing which swung it for me was thus:

v) I have spent the last 10 days driving around with a horse blanket in the boot of my car. The blanket needs to go in to the cellar, however in the cellar there is camping equipment. I am a little to admit to this, but it's superstition now and I refused to go down there...

et voila!

It was the 18th November 2008 that we decided to go fo it... so with just 4 days to go until our anniversary it was clearly an extreme case of YBIFWY.

medee I think that's a brilliant idea that we have a PESH thread - I've received so much support from all of you and I want your common-sense, not histronics from someone who ate a fucking peanut by accident - so thank you carrots - I shall be off to find it shortly. Also if we have this PESH thread then we'll all be over there at some point to support each other and being at different stages will probably be beneficial rather than "well, she had that at 18 weeks why haven't I?"

polly I have high hopes for you... and hawaiian is on "big island" this weekend - her POAS will start with a vengeance this morning I believe. I have high hopes for her too.

Btw, my preggo book says november is the most common month for british women to get pregnant... what a start in life eh? The little blighters are already "common".

givecarrotsachance · 16/11/2009 08:41

Gosh poopoo you're a mad laydee! (Why didn't I think of that? [hmm))

Hang on in there, just a few more days to go.

Anyone else POAS this week?

givecarrotsachance · 16/11/2009 08:44

muser, you will find over the next week or so that scorps is our most laid back barker. She doesn't think at all about what may or may not be happening post-ov, and she never lists endless lists of symptoms for us to evaluate. She is patient and low maintenance. Am I not right, scorps dear?

& swift kick in the shins to scorps to ensure she doesn't get sensitive.

HawaiianCuntShine · 16/11/2009 09:00

I'm BAAAAACK! and just in time from the sounds of PollyCrazyPoo you need a good solid welcome back from me!

Big Island was rainy and "cold" by Hawaii standards, but my mum, aunt and I all laughed our asses off! The trip was absolutely ACES!!!

But I was thinking on the way back tonight that I really am ready to start my 1WOOFLing! The first week always flies by without much hoopla - but it is the second 7 evil days that has me wanting to know RESULTS PLEASE!

Skihorse I'm nearly in shock - you are actually diffed - total awe! BESHie stars must be aligned... I can't wait to see who is next. (in fact, when I sauntered over to the computer - completely ignoring my mum - I thought to myself: gotta see who's pg now!) So glad it was you!

I haven't been back yet to read older posts that I've missed the PESH reference but I can guess that it's for diffed BESHies? Good idea for you lot to carry on, and completely forget all of us... No - love the idea, really, I do only if I turn up diffed no matter what happens!

Twists, pulls, and slaps to the back of the head for the rest of you. This round is on me! Countdown is 5 days!!!

PollyPoo · 16/11/2009 09:43

Morning all, Cuntshine welcome back, so glad you had a great weekend. I think I need more violence please, I am going to pieces.

I just had a nosy at the PESH thread and that made me cry with longing in a Scorps stylee 'where is MY baybee?' Lots of things are making me cry, I am SOOO frustrated and sad

I've woken up with NO symptoms - even the sensitive nips are no more (but I have just taken more photos to compare daylight ones.... don't take the piss, I know you will all be doing it next time! Graciously accepts Crown from Scorps and holds head high)

WTF is going on? Why is this 2ww SOOOO much more menkul than previous ones? Why am I not having the usual weeks worth of pre-droid symptoms?

I'm beginning to wonder if I imagined it all. But I definitely did not imagine the cervix stabbing pains on CD22 and the sore nips of the last few days, and the stabbing pain behind my right nip yesterday.

Options are:

  1. I've got an over-active imagination
  2. I did have those symptoms but they are new pre-droid symptoms and I will get them next month too
  3. The droid will be late, hence not yet starting usual pre-droid symptoms
  4. I am diffed.

I'm going with option 1, 2 and 3. Which obviously makes me cry. I so need a slap. TG is just laughing at me and asked if he can use this in his book

skihorse · 16/11/2009 09:47

Polly My symptoms, apart from snivelling obviously, had deserted me by friday morning and I thought it was game over. According to countdowntopregnancy.com this is "normal" - you get a few day's respite before it all kicks off again. Of course you're crying at other threads... yep, did that last week too.

PollyPoo · 16/11/2009 09:55

Ski I am now sobbing doing lady-like crying into a handkerchief because of your post. I think if I am diffed you will hear when I get the BFP without use of telephone... And I think TG might divorce me if I don't stop this menkulness soon. He is finding it v amusing so far but his patience is famously shortlived.

Can someone please just knock me out until the weekend?

PollyPoo · 16/11/2009 09:57

Oh yes, and when I saw my darling little sis' 20wk bump yesterday I cried. I had to tell her it was out of happiness for her, because she looks so beautiful and happy (which she does). Which was partly true, but mostly it was 'its not fair, where is MY baybee???'

iggypiggy · 16/11/2009 10:30

poo you is going well menkul innit. Sobbing is what I did last week too - sounds like good sign

ski yay to the news! Although have said this in several other place s - am totally confused.

welcome to muser you sound proper BESH - but cowell is wrong - you know that don't you?

Congrat on sexy weekend scropy - am looking forward to the madness.

where are you gin - hope you ok?

Everyone take a large painful pinch to the arse.

Bessie123 · 16/11/2009 10:34

Thank you all for the attention, it was nice to read it and I have therefore decided NOT to flounce

I am so proud of all you updiffed hags (and so ). Huge congratulations to you all.

Now, to get back to ME and my neuroses... I took some antibiotics over the period of ov and SWI. I had an allergic reaction to them and it seemed to dry up my FFJ; could that be because I got updiffed or could it be the allergic reaction and so no updiffment is possible?

Answers very fast, please, I have to go out soon.

CurlyCasper · 16/11/2009 10:38

were you taking any decongestants at the same time bess? They can dry up ALL bodily fluids. Otherwise, I no nuffink and therefore presume you got diffed.

poohead crying iz good. Must be, seeing as we are all at it! (once sentence from SFF last night = full on eye flood )

PollyPoo · 16/11/2009 10:39

Bessie could it be that it dried up after your Ov'd?

Bessie123 · 16/11/2009 10:43

Polly - I don't think so. It's possible but I think I ov'd yesterday and I noticed yesterday afternoon that it had completely dried up...

Pinkali37 · 16/11/2009 10:45

Hello, i'm Pinkali... Hope i'm on the right type of thread. I'm 30 (nearly 31) and TTC baby no. 2.

I have severe endometriosis and endometriomas and don't ovulate properly, plus DH had a vasectomy 15 years ago and had it reversed 2 years ago). DD was a complete shock after a MC which devastated me. I was on my 3rd month of clomid!! Alas, we started TTC last month (and i gave it 1 month naturally) and i am now on clomid again (had some left over in the cupboard). Just feeling like it is never going to happen again..

PollyPoo · 16/11/2009 10:47

Thanks Casper and Iggs. Yes, I is defo well menkul this month

Well done on the shagfest Scorps, I am hoping I can soon hand the Crown back to you? (Although I fear I will never live down the 'photo-ing nips' incident.)

Bessie123 · 16/11/2009 10:47

Welcome, Pinkali. You have to fill out a questionnaire to join the thread, I'm sure someone will post it for you

Pinkali37 · 16/11/2009 10:57

OOh a questionnaire? That sounds interesting and i will be more than willing to do so (will it be testing me on my D.O.B??)

Bessie123 · 16/11/2009 11:00

no, more on your general mental-ness

PollyPoo · 16/11/2009 11:03

Hi Pinky

We do indeed have a questionnaire for you...

(I think you will fit in here if you like gin, mindless violence and the occasional lesbot action.)

Right here we go then...

  1. Men - are you a gold digger or a cradle snatching cougar?

  2. Baybee-making - to put a baybee in your tumtum, which hole do you use:
    a) weewee
    b) poopoo
    c) foofoo
    d) none, you just pray to the baby Jebus.

  3. Testing - when someone wonders if they should test for updiff (pg), do you:
    a) bellow 'POAS!' at them non-stop and punch them repeatedly in the kidneys till they wet themselves anyway.
    b) Sprinkle them with babydust and send them hugs and kisses on lickle baby angel wings.

  4. Is R2D2:
    a) an adorable robot from Star Wars.
    b) the source of all evil.

  5. what colour are your walls?

  6. Number of pets?

  7. Inappropriate (read: weird) crush of shame?

  8. Lesbian crush?

Hmmm... I thought there was a no 9... I will get back to you on that one.

Good luck

Bessie123 · 16/11/2009 11:05

oh my gosh, polly, you forgot a really important one.

  1. do you like gin?
skihorse · 16/11/2009 11:12
  1. What are your views on camping equipment?
Pinkali37 · 16/11/2009 11:17
  1. Would have to be gold digger as my husband is 20 years older than me and has a little gold.
  1. FOOFOO (just getting used to jargon)
  1. Sprinkle them and then punch them?
  1. B)
  1. Which one?
  1. 2 dogs, 4 cats, 15 ducks and 11 chickens
  1. Alan Rickman
  1. Angelina Jollie
  1. YES... but loving vodka and tonic at the moment.
  1. We have a new tent but i disagree strongly with camping. Why do it when there are perfectly good hotels out there??? Why pay a fee to get wet and back ache?
