Thought as there was 955 messages on our old thread that we should have a new one again, its very annoying scrolling down to the bottom.

{grin}

Welcome to our new thread girls.

Should we put our stats again???
saves us thread hopping, and we have had newbies.
I will try and copy some from the old thread.

Morning all.
Xena- Yep you did tell me hun! Is'nt it great. My ds2 started about 3 weeks ago. Love the way they waddle. I know what you mean about shoes. They've always been so pricy. When ds1 started school, it worked out cheaper to buy the expensive ones (POD were a fab brand, wore really well) because they came up slightly big and one pair would last a year, whereas when I tried the cheapy one's (10 quid jobs) he was going through 4-5 pairs in a year.
Humphreys- My dp's the same! Luckily we had the big fan going and last night was more bearable.
Ds2 slept better too. We put the other big fan in his room.
Was soooo p*ssed off yesterday at the mentality (or lack of) of my neighbour. Baking hot day, from 11am all the way through until evening, her little ds (no more than 18 mths) was outside, no hat or protection and it gets worse. They'd shaved his head bald!!!! Poor little sod was red, crying and generally miserable. Plus they were all boozing it up. Felt so sorry for him. My ds2 was whingy yesterday with the heat and he was in all day, just a nappy with the fan on. God knows how that little one felt. Bloody stupid woman.
Ok rant over!
How's everyone else?
Anyone heard from Sapce?
xx

HellKat · 19/06/2005 09:34

Humphreys- Hope your sunburns better. I'm thinking about getting a tan today (watch I'll end up scarlet! lol)

maddyd · 19/06/2005 10:20

Morning Everyone. Wot a scorcher of a weekend. Im so tired today gonna hole myself away in the office and work. I know i shouldnt moan but i cant stand the heat and its so much cooler indoors.

The kids are in the paddling pool already, im not even going to dress them today. They are both so fair i have to suntan cream them everyhour, bless them. They wont keep hats on either.

How s everyone, Im totally lost to were everyone is in thier cycles. Lottie has your af come yet?????

HellKat · 19/06/2005 10:49

Morning Maddy!
Bet the kids will love it! I'd put ds2 out there in his but we have'nt got suncream yet so it'll have to wait.
No idea where I am cycle wise. No sign of af but looks like I've been ov (got b'ding in to .
Lottie- Are you testing today?

RachelRog · 19/06/2005 12:29

Hello to all

Trying to catch up with all the news.....has anyone heard how Spacecadet got on?? Hope she is ok.

Lottie......have you been testing then?? Any news at all?

I am ok. I am now 5+3 so still very early days. No signs of p/g other than bloating and being really emotional. Hoping to get some m/s soon so I actually feel p/g. Have my scan on Tues 12th July so keeping busy so I don't obsess too much about what might happen.......can't imagine how I am going to feel on the day.

Have a great week-end.

SPACECADET......let us know how you are.

spacecadet · 19/06/2005 13:54

im so sorry i didnt come on and yet you know how i got on.
went for my scan on friday and with the abdominal scanner she couldnt see anything, so she used the internal scanner and said she could only see a preg sac, very small but nothing else, she said it was suggestive of a very early preg about 4/5 weeks which is a bout right because by my dates im not 6 weeks yet. she also said ive got a cyst on one of my ovaries but said it could be a luteal cyst which is quite normal at this stage of preg. went to epu with my scan and they checked my hcg which was sky high!!!!more suggestive of a 7/8 week preg but i told them i was sure of my dates and was def not that much preg, this has happened to me with my last 2dc too so they werent that concerned,i told them that i get horrific sickness and they said that is prob cos i get really high hcg levels early on. i had a battle to convince them that i couldnt be more than 6 weeks preg though! they eventually let me go home and i have to go back for a scan on tues 21st june when the doctor said she would expect them to see a hearbeat, feel in limbo now, didnt post cos didnt get home till lateafternoon and was shattered and dh was at hom e yesterday and banned me from using computer!!! sorry if anyone worried....i hope they do see a heartbeat next time

HellKat · 19/06/2005 14:01

Rachel- Great to see you and thanks again for the opks.
Space- Poor you! Mind you not too long to wait now. Here's hoping it's the best news ever. Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Take care you two. x

HumphreysCorner · 19/06/2005 14:53

Hello everyone

Just popped in to put DD down for a nap as she is exhausted from all the playing in and out of the paddling pool.

Maddyd-you are right about the suntan lotion-I have been piling it on DD but she has still got some pink marks . Also-she will NOT keep her hat on so I will get the blame for her either being sunburnt or suffering from sunstroke from my MIL. Bah!

HellKat-watch yourself in the sun. I put factor 25 on my back and sat facing the sun so should be alright (fingers crossed). Looking outside the window now it has turned cloudy-just as I would be able to sunbathe peacefully-sod's law!

RachelRog-nice to hear from you. I know what you mean about the sickness. That is a sure sign of being PG for me. I knew something was wrong before my MC as I wasn't sick but all my friends said it might be different this time but I know that being PG means morning, afternoon and evening sickness for me. Look after yourself. x

Spacecadet-try not to worry-soon be Tuesday so we all await good news. x

Going outside again to make the most of the weather (cloudy or not) so will check in later.

No drinking too much!

Hugs to all
x

HellKat · 19/06/2005 16:35

Humphreys- Only bathed for 1/2 hour. Hayfever kicked in plus have'nt got suncream yet. Gone slightly brown so not bad.
Poor ds2 had nasty bump though. He caught the top right hand side of his head on the only sharp bit on the radiator (he's never been near that before) and has a lovely tiny blue lump with a teeny cut too! Poor little thing hardly cried! If he'd done his normal, land on bum, not get hurt he would've screamed!
Dp's gone very dark as he's been out in the garden all afternoon. My turn tomorrow.
Hope everyone's having fun. Drinking vanilla coke here Humphreys
Lottie- did you test?

HellKat · 19/06/2005 16:39

Lol and yes I did the neurotic mum business and wanted to take him to the dr's.
Why do we panic?
Needless to say he's right as rain, running around and the lump's going down.

RachelRog · 19/06/2005 18:41

Spacecadet - sometimes early scans can be counterproductive because it is still very early in your pregnancy. I know it is easier said than done but try not to worry too much. Hopefully by Tuesday you can have your mind put to rest and start to relax a bit more.

I was offered a scan when I would be 7+4 but I have an exam later that week and knew I would completely lose it if it was bad news. So I postponed it till I am 8+5 ......... it is a really scary time for us and I will be thinking about you over the next few days and post when you feel like it. Keep positive.....you really deserve good news and I'm sure it will be ok for you. Take care of yourself hun.

Xena · 19/06/2005 20:59

Spacedcadet exactly that happened with DD1.

Xena · 19/06/2005 21:00

And she is a monsterous 3 year old who won't sleep cause tis too hot.

spacecadet · 19/06/2005 22:04

meant to put re-scan on tues 28th..doh! my brain, sorry. i had this happen with ds2 and dd2 so im not as worried as i could be, i know its just that bit too early, but gp was over zealous i think!.., wiil keep hanging on to this thread! my life support network!

HumphreysCorner · 19/06/2005 23:00

Evening ladies

Am a nice pinky red colour with lots of white bits thrown in-lovely . Hope you have all had a relaxing weekend and are ready to face whatever the week ahead has to offer. Heck, sounding a bit (can't think of the word) there so had better go to bed pronto.

maddyd · 20/06/2005 09:16

Poor you Spacadet, it must feel awfull. In one way i cant wait to be preganant and in an other i dont want to go through what you are. Everyday will be a trial i think. Good Luck, fingers crossed.I think you may have scanned to early. How do you feel in yourself? If you are 6 weeks then some symptoms should be kicking in this morning.

HC, no suncream for Ds today. he has woken in a terrible rash. Dont know if it is his allergies or just beacuse sun cream blocks the poors so could be heat rash. But he is covered.

Lottielou · 20/06/2005 09:21

Morning All!
Well i did a test yesterday and still got a BFN and NO sign of AF at all! I am really hating this, i wish i could click my fingers and be taken out of limbo! I am now 8 days late. I will test again on Weds, all these tests are costing a flippin fortune! I'm really skint until payday aswel so all this is not good at all. Going to have to find some money out of fresh air to get my tests! Oh well
Had a huge barney with DP last night, actually left the house this morning without speaking one word to each other.I feel he isn't really being as supportive as he could be about not knowing. I feel so huirt and angry, i tried talking to him about it at first, told him i felt he wasn't supporting me, i know it's hard for him too but i just wanted a hug and to be told it was all going to be o.k.... but nothing!
So fed up today, i feel like the size of a house, my trousers are tight on the waist and i feel puffy all over! I have spent quite a lot of the morning so far fighting back the tears. What makes it worse is i think i have come down with a cold i thought at first it was my hayfever but i took my tablets an hour ago and my sniffles n fuzzy head hasn't gone away!
I could scream, i could cry, i could close myself in a dark romm and hibernate!

maddyd · 20/06/2005 09:27

Lottie the best thing you can do is let go. Please go and have a god cry, put on the saddest song you know and cry your heart out. It will help honestly, you need to release all the stress of it all. Its not surprsing you feel like you do.

If you are 8 days late and still testing negative its doubtfull you are wrong. There are a few cases where people dont test pos till later but its rare. It does sound like your af is coming. I always get major tearful the day before mine comes.

Send your dp a text and have a big cuddle when he comes in. I think thats what you really need.

HellKat · 20/06/2005 09:34

Morning all.
Lottie- sorry you're having a rough time. I agree with Maddy. let it all go!Whenever my dp and I have a bluey, i always write him a letter or send an email. Its easier putting your feelings on paper than actually saying them, also he can re-read what you've written so that it sticks in his mind.
Maddy- poor little thing! How is his rash today?

maddyd · 20/06/2005 09:36

He looks like he has german measles, poor little mite. he will just have to keep his hat on today.

How are you doing?

LunarSea · 20/06/2005 09:37

maddyd - allergies to suncreams are actually very common. The usual cause is an ingredient called PABA (acronym for something far more complicated) - so try looking for a brand which actually states it's PABA free. I get one made by "Banana Boat" for my ds, who reacts to even most of the ones which claim to be hypo-allergenic.

m/c + 29 days now, and no sign yet of anything getting to normal AF wise, although it looks like the blood counts etc might be improving a bit at last as I've managed to stay up until a lot later than ds's bedtime over the last few days. And I've only got to work 2 days this week, and then we're going down to Devon for 4 nights, ending up with a friend's wedding on Saturday.

Diddle · 20/06/2005 09:57

oh lottie - i'm so sorry you're feeling so rough. was filling up just readng you're message (i'm far too emotional) if you want to cry just cry maddyd is rright it will make you feel so much better.
You never know there is still a chance, until af arrives there is always hope.
I'm sending you big big hugs (((((((hugs)))))))

Morning to everyone else, Spacecadet great to hear from you, very pleased you're scan went well.

Have braved the baby programmes on Uk Living this morning, not sure if its a good idea. The tears are coming, when will i be ready to watch these programmes again. I used to love them, i am so interested in pregnancy and childbirth, I always wanted to be a midwife.
I also got a little sunburn over the weekend, never though i would need suncream. Got a lovely scopp round my neck of red, will look great with my bikini on Wednesday. Got so much to do.
