Hi ladies

DG Congratulations - what excitement!! Do let us know if you get a scan. Just think, you don't need to ponder on names, it can be Simon/Louis or Cheryl/Danni!!

Caitni I can't believe how pregnant you are! It is a good feeling to get to 24 weeks. I bet that bump is getting lovely and big now. Your MIL sounds like that woman from Meet the Fockers!!

Bucky Glad you are now stimming - we must get our "eggy" words ready!! Hope you have been eating lard sandwiches to give yourself some more flab

EI Don't go with online drugs.. but you know that. So frustrating that you can't be funded for it. It is a lot of money to spend if it's not necessarily something that will be of benefit to you. Difficult decision.

MrsH I hope everything is going well, and that you are all enjoying Phoebe!

RFN2&3 Congratulations on the forthcoming wedding!

PnM Glad your mum is on the mend.

JB Glad you are over your bugs.

MTW Sorry to hear you have been through a worrying time. Can't believe Freya is one!!

Help! Have i missed anyone? It's not intentional if i have

All is fine here. The boys will be 4 months on Tuesday T is constantly trying to pull himself up - he spends hours lifting his head trying to do sit ups!! J is a real chatterbox, he really enjoys a "conversation". He's not going to shut up once he can talk! They have just really become aware of each other and will smile and hold hands, which is really sweet.

digitalgirl · 09/11/2009 17:14

Been bleeding a lot over the past two days, but just had a scan showing a very tiny bean. Too tiny to tell if it's viable as I'm supposedly 10 weeks gone according to lmp, but my last ewcm was about 3 weeks ago which makes the measurements today (approx 5 wks) about right. Still with so much bleeding it's not looking good. Will drop in again later this week with an update.

Caitni · 10/11/2009 13:14

Digi sorry to hear you're bleeding, but the scan sounds positive...when do you get a rescan? Am so keeping my fingers crossed for you

MOB happy 4 months to the boys! Though at where the time has gone! They sound so sweet

Bucky hope the stimming is going well. Have you had your first scan yet? Hope you have lots of follicles!

Waves to everyone else. I'm 24 weeks today - woo hoo! Had a mild panic this morning thinking "OMG we're having a baby" (you'd think I'd be used it by now ).

MrsHappy · 10/11/2009 18:44

Hi everyone

Bucky how is the stimming going? Eggstremely well, I hope? . Am of your lunch... I remember when I managed to eat at regular mealtimes and had a social life!!

MOB I can't believe the boys are 4 months already. Where does the time go? Are you planning any more yet?!

Caitni congrats on reaching 24 weeks. I know I felt like it was a proper pregnancy after I reached that point, not least because it was in the next few weeks that I started to look pregnant instead of just fat. Hope you are blooming.

Ei it is shitty that your PCT won't fund clomid. I can fully understand trusts not paying for IVF in cases where the couple already have a child, but clomid is so much cheaper. Agree with the others - don't self-medicate. That way doth major health issues lie! But maybe if you check on fertility friends you can find the cheapest licenced source of clomid and use them to fill a private prescription as a way of saving some of the cost?

DG tentative congratulations. I would say them finding a bean is a good sign. And I am sure you remember from last time that plenty of women bleed and things are ok. I have my fingers crossed for you.

And hello to everyone else, JB, Picknmix, GG (if you are about), Levi. Hope all is well.

All is happy chaos here. DH is still off work which is just as well as having had another wretched CS I have not been as active as I would have liked. Phoebe is the greediest baby on earth and feeds about twice as much as DD1 so I am shrinking fast (yay!- no complaints on that score, I just wish she would sleep a bit more!). DD1 has been poorly so has been behaving like a mini-hooligan and refusing to eat. So general mayhem around here. And the in-laws are coming this weekend, oh heck! I really should pack up the kids and go to my mother's! It's just as well I am not allowed to drive!

digitalgirl · 10/11/2009 21:13

Glad to hear you're enjoying the chaos MrsH

Well not good news from me I'm afraid, am self medicating with red wine and chocolate. DH took the afternoon off so I could have a lie down while he dealt with a very active DS. But am on my own with him tomorrow so hoping I'm over the worst of it. Have a busy weekend and a shoot next week to distract me. Am v tho.

MrsHappy · 10/11/2009 21:21

I'm sorry to hear that DG.
(((((((((((((((Higs))))))))))))))))))).

It's hard, I know. I'm sure it will come good for you before long.

xxBuckyxx · 11/11/2009 20:07

I just wrote a huge post with messages for everyone and stoopid MN lost it with some kind of technical anomoly .

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhgh.

So in flippin summary:

DG we love you and know how you feel. Hope you feel better soon [higs]

MrsH You sound so happy which is fab but NO DRIVING???? Wah???

Caitni Glad the scan went well, did they give you an update on the renal thingermebob?

MOB A kiss for each forehead of my cybernephews. They are so big alread

Ei The big black crow is flying to Buckingham Palace.

JB, PnM, RFN2&3, Levi big wave to you all and anyone I forgot too.

Me well, stimming still. Scan Friday. Only started feeling a bit weird today. Will report back after scan.

Kisses. xx

MrsHappy · 11/11/2009 20:27

Quick one because the smallest is howling... no driving because of emergency section. Got to check with my insurers, but they seem to want to stop you driving for between 2 and 6 weeks depending on who your insurer is! Hope stimming is, erm, stimulating.

PandaEis · 11/11/2009 20:57

bucky >> the queen will be happy to hear the news
DG so sorry this has happened [higs] you know where we are if you need a shoulder(s) to cry on [higs]
hi to everyone else xxxx
xx ei xx

Madoldbird · 12/11/2009 09:44

DG So sorry to hear what's happened. We are here for you.

MrsH Check with your insurer - mine didn't set any time limits after c-sections. Although should i be encouraging your escape?!

Bucky Hope the scan goes well tomorrow! (Oh, i almost miss dildocam )

Higs to everyone else!

Caitni · 12/11/2009 11:05

Digi so sorry to hear this . Big hugs to you and your DH

Bucky and Ei love the codes!

Bucky good luck tomorrow - hope you have lots of follicles (I also kind of miss dildo cam! Fascinating to watch those follicles develop!). I remember kind of feeling like having a bunch of grapes down low...which made sense when I measured a grape (not a dissimilar length to a growing follicle!). Good sign though, as hopefully means the stimming is working beautifully . No more news on the baby's kidneys until my re-scan at 34 weeks but have decided, in the grand scheme of things, it's not something to waste my pregnancy stressing out about.

MrsH hope the happy chaos continues! Glad to hear that Phoebe is feeding so well, but hope you can get back behind the wheel soon . Have fun with your in-laws.

Waves to Ei MOB Levi Jollybear and anyone I've missed.

xxBuckyxx · 12/11/2009 12:36

LOL at everyone missing dildocam, like a shared BF..hahahaha...Well he's MINE tomorrow, what shall I wear?, lucky me woo hoo...NOT .

JollyBear · 12/11/2009 13:14

Oh bucky your post made me chuckle at lot. Make sure you have your best knickers on . Let us know how you get on.

Re the dog situation. Do you really think they'd be able to rehome her? Are there people that want dogs who are very scared of other dogs and most people? My poor mum is end the end of her tether trying to keep them apart.

DG I'm so sorry to hear your news. Hope you are taking it easy.

MrsH It depends on how you feel re driving. I felt very sore and knew that in an emergency stop situation I'd struggle to brake properly, so left it till 6 weeks. Even then I found twisting round to reverse really painful. Hope DD1 settles down soon.

caitni I loved your MIL rant! Mine is really good most of the time but she can make my blood boil. She insists on wrapping DD up with layers and layers of woollens and did not like the new guidelines on newborns not wearing hats indoors! 24 weeks is a good time, you can just breathe a bit easier I think.

Hello to everyone else.

DD teeth update: 11 and counting. She's not even 11 months yet! A mother at a group we go to descibed her as looking 'scary'. I was very close to starting my first ever fist fight, how dare she!!

xxBuckyxx · 12/11/2009 17:07

You didn't say where you were JB. There are many people who are very adept and managing doggy behaviour. 'Nervous' could be a situational thing and as a single pet or with a different dog as company things could be different . Difficult to say as I don't really know the detail of the problem and the extent of my knowledge is the Dog Whisperer, Doggy training classes and lots of pet dogs .

That said, if you are near Herts, like I said I can ask Margaret to take your mum's dog. The are good at rehabilitation and rehoming and although she is a bit of a 'crazy dog woman' a la Barbara Woodhouse with Vivienne Westwood hair, she is great.

Fancy calling Jollycub 'Scary' . Perhaps you should take said nervous dog and make sure she gets a bite on the arse!

MrsHappy · 12/11/2009 18:40

JB You should train the cub up to give that woman something to be scared of. Do you think you could teach her to growl?! Seriously though, what a rude woman. As if an 11 month old could be scary. I suspect hers is probably dull and blobbish.

at all of you missing dildocam. My visits to it were never terribly good until the last two, so I can't say I miss it one little bit. Especially after the time my modesty sheet slid off so I couldn't even do my usual trick of pretending I wasn't there...

Adding to the MIL rants, my PILs are coming to stay this weekend. And as usual a visit described to me as a weekend is in fact more of a week. It had already extended from Sat to Tues, but when I started planning meals my DH told me I was a day short and they are staying until Weds. Because that's what you do when someone has a new baby... you go and stay for the best part of a week. . DH won't say anything (their timing is always great) so I think this may be up to me. Unfortunately I had my diplomatic skills removed along with DD2, so it may all be rather plain-speaking.

Caitni are you still a frequenter of garden centres? Can I recommend a visit to Sunshine Garden Centre near Bounds Green tube? Their christmas displays are lurvely.

readyfornumber2and3 · 13/11/2009 16:50

Dg so so sorry, hope you and DH are ok xx

MrsH hope you are enjoying your new addition and make sure you stand your ground with the inlaws

caitni cant believe how quick its going! not too much longer now

Bucky hope the scan was good and gives you eggcelent news

JB ho the hell can the cub be scary
Very rude woman!

MOB Glad the boys are doing well and cant believe how quick it going, mine are 14 weeks now and I think Sophie may be teething we get the smiles too but the hand holding must be super cute

EI Glad you didnt order the clomid online but can understand the temptation

Hi to anyone I have missed x

Well things here are hectic but good and the babies are sleeping well at night which helps lol
The wedding plans are going well and we are lined up to move house next week!

I have been dieting to get into my wedding dress and have lost 19lbs in 3 weeks so its going well x
cant wait till new year when I can relax a bit lol

digitalgirl · 13/11/2009 18:01

bucky hope the scan went well today

ready can't believe how busy you are, and with little baby twins! Maybe having twins makes you realise that actually you can achieve a lot more than most people in a shorter space of time.

caitni well done on hitting the 24 week mark. I remember that's when all the ailments of pregnancy started to show up for me...but I still loved it.

I'm feeling a lot better now. Still a bit light-headed but generally out of the black cloud that was Tuesday. I suppose everyone is different, but was wondering how long the bleeding goes on for. I still have that scan next week which may give me an indication of how much is left to come out. Knowing my s...l...o...w body it'll probably take about 8 weeks before I'm back to 'normal'.

Am getting hints of potential job offers being dangled in front of me, so that's one thing to look forward to. As much as I love freelancing, getting a proper job would mean slightly better maternity benefits for when #2 decides to pop into our lives.

DS is properly toddling now. It's brilliant, he's been such a clingy, demanding baby so far that now he has a little bit of independence I'm actually able to do a bit more round the house when I'm at home. It's been 14 months of not being able to cook dinner, now I have no excuse! Can't believe it!

xxBuckyxx · 14/11/2009 18:28

What's up with MN??? I keep posting and it doesnt work and I lose all the text...

xxBuckyxx · 14/11/2009 18:31

For the fourth time...

Scan was kind of ok . 9 follicles, 3 on one side 6 on the other...

However, the ovary with 6 is quite high up and the man (dr?) said this would make it difficult to get to. He did say that by Monday when I go back for another scan it might have dropped down because they would get heavier and if not under the Gen. Anaesth. they can prod around more but that there was no guarantees. . Guess there is no point worrying....

MrsHappy · 15/11/2009 19:09

Bucky 9 follicles sounds good to me. I read that some IVF clinics are now trying to only produce very few eggs each cycle on the grounds that they are better quality than ones where loads and loads are produced. Plus, surely 9 is good news - you are responding to the drugs and not too much that there could be a problem that way.

I think lots of us have an ovary that hides - My left one is behind a load of gut so that my previous visits to dildocam were less than lovely as they prodded around trying to see it. And I recall that they had to rootle around when MOB went for her egg collection too. I bet they will get those eggs, and if not, it only takes one. Eyes on the prize and all that.

This is getting exciting now - only a few more weeks and you could be changing your name to Buckywithabean.

Not much going on here. I think the poor baby has oral thrush. She is miserable beyond belief so I don't think there will be much sleeping going on tonight. Notwithstanding the alarming sleep deprivation I found myself today thinking that one day I would like more children. Which makes me wonder if I am some sort of freak reproductive-obsessive Octomom-wannabe. I was sure when I was pregnant that I wouldn't want to put myself through another year like last year and so would be stopping at two... funny how the hormones work. I feel very greedy and a bit mental. Someone slap me, please.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Caitni · 15/11/2009 20:42

Evening ladies

Bucky 9 follicles is great . MrsH is right that it's about quality, not quantity, but 9 is an excellent number to be working from at this stage. I wouldn't worry about them not being able to retrieve them at this stage - I asked about this specifically and was told it was very rare for it to be a problem. It is getting very exciting!!

MrsH sorry to hear that DD2 may have oral thrush - hope it clears up soon (and that you both get some sleep!). You're not mad to be thinking about another baby already - I'm pregnant with my first and already imagine future rounds of IVF hopefully working! Hope you're enjoying the in-laws, though at the length of their stay - hope they're running around after you rather than the other way around! Thanks for the garden centre tip (I love a good garden centre!)

Ready you are my multi-tasking heroine! You've always got so much on your plate, but make it sound so enjoyable . I bet you'll look gorgeous on your wedding day xx

Digitalgirl it's good to hear you sounding a bit better, and really hope the bleeding stops soon. I bet your DS is a total dote!

Jolly clever jollycub and all her teeth! Bet she has a lovely toothy grin . Though am at what that woman said - bloody rude!!

Waves to Ei PnM MOB GG Levi hope everyone's having a good weekend. We had my brother's ex boyfriend over (they were together for years and are still great buddies). Had a great weekend - Borough market yesterday, where we picked up dinner and breakfast stuff and then Hairspray the musical today - it was bloody brilliant! Been ages since I went to a west end show and it was a lot of fun. Am knackered now though though have a mountain of ironing to get through yet!

xxBuckyxx · 16/11/2009 20:36

Hope you get some sleep MrsH oral thrush doesn't sound good at all .

Just a quick note...trigger shot is tonight at 12.30am . I go to bed at 10pm usually , I am going to have to put matchsticks in my eyes!

EC is on Wednesday . Scary.

PandaEis · 17/11/2009 00:37

hi ladies
bucky oooo!! trigger shot!! eggcellent you will be all duffed up in no time hopefully the rest of us will follow closely behind...
mrsH you put me to shame managing to post often with a new baby and i can barely get on once a week i will try harder
caitni i cant beliee you are 24 weeks already!! brilliant!!

ei waves

Caitni · 17/11/2009 10:38

Bucky yay for EC! Enjoy your drug free day today - no more injections for you . Am getting so excited for you, though I remember how stressed I was at this stage too...each step is an achievement but am sending you good vibes for tomorrow morning

Ei am 25 weeks today . Are you gearing up for a BD fest?

So I'm off for my swine flu jab tonight. Decided I'd had enough of the head in sand routine and no more need to try and avoid all my germ-y colleagues (seriously, they've been dropping like flies and I've been acting like they've all got the black death ).

Madoldbird · 17/11/2009 10:47

Bucky Hope you are now nicely triggered This seems to have come round very quickly (although i'm sure it hasn't for you). 9 follicles is eggcellent. They often find one or two eggstra ones when they get there anyway, but as others have said it's quality not quantity. As MrsH rightly eggsplained ()they had to rootle (love that word!)around during my EC - my right ovary was tucked behind bowel (infact it wasn't even visible on the first scan or two). EC was fine, and they only had to leave one egg behind. Will be thinking of you, and sending eggy vibes, tomorrow.

Caitni Hope you have now reappeared from behind the ironing mountain . Your weekend sounded lovely. Have you got everything for the baby yet?

MrsH Poor DD2. Hope she is a little better now, and that you are not too sleep deprived?

Love and waves to everyone else. XX
