LittleOneMum · 28/07/2009 13:40

Think I'll wait. It's a First response one and quite faint, so I want to contain my excitement... will test again in 2 days I think... congrats BettyMum by the way...

ilove2shop · 28/07/2009 13:44

woooohooo congrats on your BFP's Bettymum and littleonemum!!!!

Mickbell we are on the same cycle of ttc, and i was thinking of starting the preliminary tests.. really pleased that yours are OK, kinda gives me hope too!! Thanks for sharing!

bubbalewy welcome to the bus and sorry to hear of your recent MCs. It must have been very hard :-(

bettymum major congrats on your BFP we all needed to hear good news!!

littleonemum fingers crossed for a bfp in a couple of days.. you know what they say though a line is a line is a line

nancypreg even though you say you ovulated late i still think its very restrained of you to stay away from the tests - well done

I went to U2 last night and didnt drink by accident because i got to the standing section and realised you cant drink there so i was inadvertently on the dry - still an immense concert tho.. however i am due for an absolute bender with the work crew on friday by which time i will be cd27 or i THINK 12 or so days post ovulation so will do a first response test that morning to be sure to be sure..

good luck to all the testers in the meantime

porcupine11 · 28/07/2009 14:09

Hello everyone, glad to see some more BFPs since I last logged in, congrats ladies. I'm mid-cycle now and we BD'd last night despite me having flu - heh heh, anyone else TTC despite having the lurgy?

Not sure if feeling lousy would prevent ovulation though. We shall see!

SummerC · 28/07/2009 14:10

NancyPreg - could you sall all of that again, but in English this time?

I am one of those women who have excessively long cycles (thank you PCOS) so I am never really sure when, or if, I ovulate every month. It's always sort of a stab in the dark to guess when I may be ovulating.

SummerC · 28/07/2009 14:13

Oh my god. Proof-read Summer....proof-read.

"It's always sort of a stab in the dark to guess when I may be ovulating."

LoobyLou82 · 28/07/2009 14:14

wow two in a row, congrats!

Maybe the bus is becoming lucky and it will rub off on everyone else.

I have a wee dilema folks. Called the dr today to book a smear as not had one in 6 years. Im 27 now. Every time i went to get one i was either preg or just after having baby. So im ttc now and im fertile today and next two days. dr would only give me appoint for the 5th aug....but i may be preg by then and not know yet so can it still be done? Or would i best wait and see if im preg dont want it to make me miscarry (again) Im worried as its been so long too since i ahd one done

sweetkitty · 28/07/2009 15:17

oh congratulations littleonemum and bettymum hope they are really sticky ones for you both

Nothing to report here still no sign of AF, I have ordered 2 tests from Tesco tomorrow with my internet shop so will pee on one of them Thursday morning but I know it will be BFN, just wish AF would turn up and put me out my misery

Mickbell · 28/07/2009 15:44

Hey ilove2shop, yeah just go for the tests it will put your mind at rest, i told the doc though that we'd been trying for about a year, so just get the white lie in there and they will test you. I hope this month is the month everyone!

Bettymama, and littleonemum, congratulations, fingers crossed for BFN in the next few days for you littleonemum, just to confirm it all. This bus is goodluck!!!

xox

mcchesers · 28/07/2009 15:45

Hi guys..I've just been lurking out here, not ready to be on the list yet. I'm in the same boat SK, I'm due with AF todat just waiting waiting for it to start so I can get on with it

Mickbell · 28/07/2009 15:45

sorry I meant BFP

NancyPreg · 28/07/2009 15:50

Summer lol it just means wait until af is due! Or thereabouts

Looby I had my last smear done mid-cycle, which is standard procedure according to the nurse who did mine. I would wait until you can get a mid-cycle appointment rather than having the smear done in the 2ww.

Lee lol at 'very restrained'. This is the most interesting part of the entire 4wk cycle. Let's face it, week 1 is a bloody bore, week 2 merges with week 3 with a bit of a bang and the rest of week 3 AND most of week 4 draaaags past until the last few days of week 4 when it's tampons v tests at dawn

Bettymamma · 28/07/2009 16:26

Tampons vs tests at dawn. Love it Nancypreg. That'll be me tomorrow morning...

Bettymum and LittleOneMum congrats!! yayyy. Bettymum I would love to join you just so we can confuse everyone on MN for the next 9 months. I'm sure AF is round the corner though. I appear to have PMT from hell today!

Sweetkitty - still no AF? Sorry you are still in limbo.

hello mcchesers

SummerC - i'm stabbing in the dark!? with ovulating too but i think i felt strange pains on the 17th July which according Nancypregs thing means i could test . Don't tempt me!

NancyPreg · 28/07/2009 17:08

Betty how long is your luteal phase usually, do you know? It sounds as though you could be joining the grads soon.....!

liahgen · 28/07/2009 17:13

hi everyone, been away for a bit, this ttc lark is an emotional rollercoaster isn't it.?

Well ov been and gone for me now, hope we did the right things at the right time, so just have to see I guess.

Got a scan on Thursday to look into my pelvic pain, will let you know how that goes, Shame i'll only be on day 17 of cycle so no sneaky way to check for early pg,

Hope to see a few more BFP's soon, I was at a birth of a gorgeous baby boy born yesterday and got my 2nd lady niggling today so hopefully another lo arriving soon.

Good luck to everyone waiting for anything ..so that's all of us then.

liahgen · 28/07/2009 17:17

bloody hell, that'll teach me to read before I post,

congratulations to Bettymum and Littleonemum.

Fingers crossed for healthy 9 mths

TeaFan · 28/07/2009 19:22

Congratulations Bettymum & Littleonemum!!! It's nice to come back to 2 BFPs, looks like it might be the start of a lucky streak too

NancyPreg, yet again I am amazed by your restraint, I have POAS phobia but you just seem to have a penchant for torturing yourself an excess of willpower lol!

I'm 6DPO now and no symptoms whatsoever and don't feel pg, am drinking loads of non-decaf tea, diet coke and have even had vodka 3 nights in a row. In fact i'm pretty sure I haven't seen a vegetable in at least a week and DP keeps having to remind me to take my folic acid! After what I put myself through last month I just decided to carry on as normal until I get a BFP. In fact, I think all this acting like i'm not pg increases my chances, tempting fate and all that, my Mum doesn't call me Contrary Mary for no reason

TeaFan · 28/07/2009 19:24

Oh and a big welcome to all the new passengers!!

NancyPreg · 28/07/2009 19:57

TeaFan welcome back to the fray , only another, what, 4 whole days until you can test and LOL at my restraint! I am tempted but I will not test before 13dpo. Reason? What if I get a very faint line...that would be agony for me and just the same waiting anyway to test the next day to see if the line was any stronger!! I will wait and see...

LOL at my dd talking about 'turtoises' ... some kind of new cross between a turtle and a tortoise

Spirael · 28/07/2009 20:22

Gosh, I go offline for a few days and there seems to have been a bazillion posts in that time! Congratulations for the new BFP's! Hopefully there will be more to come.

Nothing new to report here really... AF finally seems to be pushing off (She always takes forever to leave!) and hopefully things might get a bit more interesting from next weekend.

I'm giving temperature monitoring a go in the mornings, and it seems pretty steady so far. I'm not sure whether it'll do any good, but I figured it doesn't hurt to try!

nanoo · 28/07/2009 20:53

Wow, been away from MN for days (had to get busy as ovulated over the weekend:-)) - and so happy to see all so many new grads. Big big congrats to all the BFPs.

So my 2WW has started (although last month AF got me before I even started thinking about testing). Just praying we did things at the right time...

Ladylou83 · 28/07/2009 21:26

Hey all...sorry no posts recently - just been caught up at work.

Update - I havent tested again, decided to give it another few days as, 36 days was based on last cycle (they tend to range from 26 - 36 days), so if Im having another 36 day cycle then it could be too early, hence confused messed up tests. Although if I was having a 26 day cycle then I am late! Fingers crossed im late!!!!!!!

Still mega confused though

Congrats to the BFP's!!!!! Fantastic news

sweetkitty · 28/07/2009 22:21

Did a proper test tonight and as suspected BFN again so it's settled not pregnant, last period was not a true period (didn't think I had OVed) and my body is still messed up.

Now have a dilemma, am still feeding DD3 twice a day morning and night only, don't think she takes much it's more of a comfort thing but something she really enjoys (I adore that wee look of sheer contentment and delight in her eyes when she latches on) anyway I digress, I want to TTC another baby but don't want to stop BFing just yet, can I do both? I have done previously, I conceived DD2 when DD1 was 9 months and my periods came back with DD2 when she was 11 months and she was more of a milk monster than DD3. I would feel so bad weaning her off the boob just so I cold TTC another baby so don't know what to do?

sky27 · 29/07/2009 00:42

Bettymum CONGRATS

littleOneMum positive thoughts your way!!!

Still getting symptoms although not as much as last week...my boobs are still more than three inches bigger than they have ever been, so I'm gonna look on the bright side

Jumped the gun and tested monday BFN, ordered sensitive tests online so I am awaiting those before trying again as I don't know my cycle length. Off to speak to Dr tomorrow - wish me luck

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

Bettymum · 29/07/2009 09:38

Morning ladies!
Bettymama I had PMT from hell a couple of days ago...and in fact I had the same just before I found out I was pg with DD. So it wasn't PMT, it was pg hormones! Fingers crossed for you.
sweetkitty I know everyone's different with the BF and periods, I got mine back when DD was 8 months and I'd just switched to morning and night feeds only. Since I started temping when we started TTC a couple of months later, it became clear that I wasn't actually OVing despite having quite regular periods, it took about 5 months IIRC. So anyway...if you don't want to stop BF, don't, but it might be worth trying to temp (if you can stand it!) to see if you are OVing - and if you aren't, you may well start soon.
Phew, that post was longer than I thought it would be when I started typing .
