tobago are u still there? did AF arrive or did you eventually get your BFP?

Im ok today, still bleeding after the mc but its getting lighter, think it will only be a period length bleed which shold be good. Im ok tho now got my head round the mc. I had baby then mc then baby then mc so next pregnancy should = baby if going in a pattern.

Im only on day 3 so ages before i can BD. Its our anniversary today too but no chance of BDing with me still bleeding/MC'ing

Lou x

Ladylou83 · 20/07/2009 12:45

Happy anniversary Loobylou82!

tobago04 · 20/07/2009 13:12

Hi looby, happy anniversary Glad to hear your ok,must be hard.
Did a test yesterday but still BFN and no sign of AF,think it's just the pill still in my system, this could take ages!!
Going to do a final test thursday before we go away then leave it a while and see if Af arrives, just going to try and not think about it x

TeaFan · 20/07/2009 15:01

Wow, this is a busier bus all of a sudden, fantastic, lots of BFPs soon hopefully

Happy anniversary Looby so glad you're feeling better.

Hello Bettymamma, hoops997, JamieJay, Divvy and everyone else i've not 'met' before (waves like a loon). Hi to everyone else too, sounds like we're all battling along in our quest to TTC so good luck for this cycle - esp good luck to those weaning their little ones.

Day 14 and no sign of OV yet but not worried as cycles are up to 34 days... doing OPKs this month to try and pin things down a bit. Threw in a BD just for fun on Thursday just to confuse DP, hope he doesn't think his work is done for this month ...Promised not to tell him about OV from now on as it makes him feel henpecked - the cheek of him!

tostaky · 20/07/2009 15:19

Congrats to those who graduated!!!

Im back after a week holiday... Im 10 DPO today but doesnt feel any symptoms at all... Periods due on thursday and boyfriend back tuesday evening so i might do a test tomorrow just before he comes back
my cycle was so weird though this month that i am not really sure when i ovulated...

Bungo101 · 20/07/2009 17:08

Hi.I'm new to blogging on Mumsnet. I'd like to join your thread. What is the cycle number? Is it how many months you've been trying? Trying to work it all out without being totally dim :-)
Thanks.

JamieJay · 20/07/2009 17:53

hoops997 welcome, sorry to hear about your mmc, so many of us have had them in last few months that this has to be a lucky bus.

Welcome Bettymamma.

Welcome Bungo101, crash course:

TTC#1 - try to conceive baby no. 1
Cycle - number of cycles since you started trying
UCL - usual cycle length
CD - cycle day

Hope you get your BFP tostaky

TeaFan, I', late ovulating too, normally do on CD15-16 but just started getting more EWCM today so think it could be about to happen. DH thinks all his christmas' have come at once as we started on CD11 and are still going!

Hoping to join some of you on the 2ww soon

hoops997 · 20/07/2009 18:30

jamieJay I'm hoping this is a lucky bus.......(waves at everyone and chucks loads of babydust round the bus!!)

Had AF like cramps today so not too sure whats going on....boobs feel very sore today too

Bungo101 · 20/07/2009 19:17

Morning all

Hope you're all well and thanks for all the hello's. Any news from anyone this morning? I've just gagged over our dustbin (but it's a particularly smelly one at the moment with a bad nappy inside). I'm sure when i'm TTC i get phantom symptoms, like my mum's dogs! Really scares my dh though.

TeaFan · 21/07/2009 08:38

Well I could cry which I am aware is a total over-reaction that I may well regret later. I had EWCM last night and got a +ve on an OPK this morning so my LH surge was prob yesterday afternoon. My EWCM usually lasts 2 days so I guess i'll OV some time today or early tomorrow. This is good because it means my body is working and I have a good long luteal phase of about 16 days.

Unfortuately DP is not being very helpful, he had a couple of beers on his way home last night and fell asleep on the sofa and then had a stiff neck 'that might be swine flu' !!?! This morning. Just feels like if it was the other way round and he was getting frisky and telling me it was a good time then i'd make more effort to make sure it happened. Have checked that he definitely feels sure about wanting kids and feeling that this is the right time so don't know how else to explain it. He appears to think it will happen by magic. Fustrated, arrgghhhhh! In fact am at work an hour early just to get out of the house and avoid making things worse by losing my cool

Is all lost for this month? Is it too late if I get him to BD tonight or tomorrow morning? (Moral support required emoticon)

JamieJay · 21/07/2009 08:57

Sorry DH is being awkward TeaFan. Now I don't use OPKs so no expert but I thought you got get the surge just before ov so likely to be todayn (?) so you've still got time to do the deed today and even possibly tomorrow morning.

Of course you have to get DH to co-operate, this month DH is being super helpful becuase of the mc last time however I have been known to manipulate him into sex in past cycles. Would that work with your DH (if you're happy to do that of course!) or would he immediately knwo what you were up to and get even more awkward.

Chin up, all is not lost but DH has to play ball in the next 24 hours I'd say, oh and I wouldn't take this as a sign he doesn't want children!

Good luck

JamieJay · 21/07/2009 09:00

Hello Bettymamma, didn't spot your message, sounds promising .

I try avoid symptom spotting as I'm sure I create them, every cycle I've had something until the actual month I was pregnant when I become convinced on CD25 that we'd failed as nada!

However, you're close to the end of your cycle so fingers crossed, just try and avoid testing to soon

tobago04 · 21/07/2009 09:51

Morning everyone, well AF finally arrived on cd 38
Typical, going away thursday and supposed to be going to a waterworld!
On the plus side though i have now had a real period after coming off the pill so i know everythings still working,i can get drunk at dh b.day party in August and a baby wont be due the same month as dd1's b.day, also means more bd will be needed which can't be bad, also very gratful that i have come on now as read another thread and someone did'nt get AF until
10mths!
Teafan i'm sure you've still got a good chance, just jump on him when you get home then maybe explain to him how ov works etc so he realises that there is only a few days you can actually concieve.Makes you wonder how people accidentally get pregnant does'nt it? x

TeaFan · 21/07/2009 10:17

Yes Tobago if anyone ever tells me they're worried they might be accidentally pg I will be all 'I wouldn't worry, chances are miniscule - getting pg is actually very difficult'

DP rang me at work just before and apologised, he claims he didn't realise it was the right time - obviously I was being too subtle. Told him he made me feel like a sex pest which raised a chuckle he has promised tonight will be different Not such a bad guy afterall....have looked on a few websites that say EWCM dries up after you've OV'd and I still have loads so fingers crossed.

Bettymamma · 21/07/2009 10:19

Ahh Teafan I've the same problem with my dh in the past. Like the others have said I reckon you still have a chance tonight. It's a nightmare cos whenever the pressure's on it often ends in an argument.

Jamiejay i agree with you re symptom spotting. Can drive you barmey! And often the symptoms of an AF arriving are the same as being pregnant. How annoying.

Sorry to hear your AF arrived tobago04 but sounds like you didn't fancy April much anyway.x

TeaFan · 21/07/2009 10:26

Forgot to say, thanks for your words of encouragement JamieJay, any tips you have for keeping DP on side would be much appreciated. Of course we BD just for fun but when i'm OV I really have to find a way of letting him know without putting him under pressure, he has a manual job and will turn me down if he's too tired and doesn't know it's essential! Maybe we could have a code word or something that I could text him rather than actually having to say it which I find cringeworthy and a mood killer.

Glad your cycle is back too Tobago, even though AF is a witch it's good to know that your body is getting back to normal.

How is eveyone else, any other drama on the bus? Suggestions for codewords would be very welcome

Bettymum · 21/07/2009 10:50

Hi TeaFan I know what you mean about getting your DP to play ball, as it were . It is difficult and my DH has refused sometimes if he thinks I'm just using him for his swimmers, even though he's really keen to have another DC. Will try and think of some codewords for you

Loujalou · 21/07/2009 11:08

DH thinks I am obsessed with wanted DC2. So am trying to distract myself with exercise and the like. We will see. Maybe taking up other interests will help.

tostaky · 21/07/2009 12:10

well ive decided no to test tonight (11 DPO) but to test on saturday morning... i will see if i can hold off until then unless AF catches me before then (periods due on thursday).

trying to keep busy to avoid thinking about it...

emmajlh · 21/07/2009 12:34

Hi,

I think i want to get on this bus!! DH and I are TTC#2, this is our 2nd cycle. I didn't detect a surge last month using OPK so i'm hoping it will pick one up this time. DD was conceived in cycle 2 with OPK and preseed. I got a postive OPK with her so am hoping i get one this month. Have been offf the pill for about 3 months.

My cycle length varies but seems to average about 28 days.I think i'm due to ovulate this weekend (and my mum is visiting oh no!! don't want to BD with her in next room!!).

Thing is with all this swine flu stuff i'm really thinking whether i should just postpone the whole thing until spring next year. I've hopefully got age on my side - I'm 29. My DD will be 3 in November so really don't want to wait until the new year to start trying.

Had a chat with DH last night saying we need to decide whether we're doing it or postponing it - he said it was up to me (thanks) as it was my body etc.

I'm generally a healthy person, i don't get ill very often but does that even count for anything??

My DD goes to nursery 2 days a week and i think she is bound to get it this autumn so do i really wanna be pregnant and caring for a poorly 3 yr old? But having said that she is a very healthy girl also and has hardly ever been ill, she was on the boob till she was nearly 2 which i think has boosted her immune system.

Agh what to do!!

Bettymamma · 21/07/2009 12:52

Good luck tostaky not testing. I admire your willpower. Keep busy and fingers crossed.

Loujalou - My dh thought i was obsessed when TTC dd2 so even though i know its good to talk etc, i didn't want to drive him mad so i put most of my rantings on here. It helped!

emmajlh - i was thinking the same last night after watching the news, but if you're healthy, don't have bad asthma etc it should be like getting flu which you could catch at any time. My brother-in-law, cousin and friend's son (aged 3) have had swine flu and all said it was like a very bad cold with a hacking cough and lasted 5 days. Hello by the way
