Hi

I am new to Mumsnet and was wondering if any Mumsnet users trying for a baby would like to chat. I have a dd who is 2 and want another baby desperately. I have only been trying for one month and thought I was pregnant last month but was wrong. I got pregnant within a month with dd and thought the same would happen again. Could use some baby dust.

Have a fab hol Dana!

desperatehousewife · 17/06/2005 17:01

oh starry, why is time running out?

DO NOT GET STRESSED OUT! (Very easy to say I know) but, don't take the fun out of it. There's always next month or the month after. Just think of all the positives, like you can still enjoy the taste of tea and coffee and have a big glass of wine and not feel guilty!

StarryEyed · 20/06/2005 09:13

Hi DH

Thank you. We haven't BDed for about 6 days so much for TTC. It has been one thing after another. DH is I think frustrated by now!! Anyway I think I can't be pg bec of a lack of BDing so I had a glass of champagne on Sat and I am going to a ball on Fri - will have some there too. As you say, it is nice to ba able to do that I suppose but I would like to get pg soon.

How have you been?

Morning everyone,
Flamesparrow, I was thinking about you over the w.e Hope you've had good news, or no news which can def. be taken as good news in these circumstances.
Starryeyed, hope you and your DH reached an understanding.
I've not had much sleep over the w.e as my DS (7mths) cut his first teeth. Bless!! A bleary eyed DH remarked 'your on your own with teeth duty next time!' Him just saying next time got me all excited!

homemama · 20/06/2005 09:17

Sorry SE, posts crossed

desperatehousewife · 20/06/2005 09:41

Hi Starry,

I'm fine thanks. I'm still at the stage where I'm not really checking dates and if it happens it happens. Really scared I will get mechanical about it if I start trying to do it at the right times etc. No doubt will go down that route soon enough though if I don't get preg!

It's too hot for any of that nonsense anyway at the moment!

Maybe next month I'll give it a proper go!

MandM · 20/06/2005 09:43

Good Morning!

I can't believe it's Monday and I'm back at work already.

SE - a ball sounds very exciting . I love a good excuse to get dressed up and drink champagne - who doesn't?!

Flamesparrow - any news? I've been wondering all weekend whether there have been any developments. Fingers crossed.

StarryEyed · 20/06/2005 11:27

Yeah I think becoming mechanical takes the funm out of it. That's why DH has been acting odd. Not difficult to understand really but can't help feeling the way I do. Never mind. There is always next month as you say and the month after that..

The ball on Fri is going to be spectacular. I do love dressing up and it is going to be great fun. Can't wait. Hope the weather holds up.

Anyone testing soon?

Just realised DH is going to be away next month when I expect to be OVing so that's July written off Is anything going to cheer me up ..

OP posts:
angelsfield · 20/06/2005 12:22

Is he going away a while before you're ov?

I've heard that you should do it loads for the few days before you ov?

angelsfield · 20/06/2005 12:23

Sorry if I got that wrong, I'm not an expert.

homemama · 20/06/2005 12:51

Oh Starry! So sorry you're feeling dejected. The situation can start to seem a bit desperate. 2 mths can seem like nothing but when you're TTC it's forever!
I guess that's what's so good about this, we can all go through it together. Do try, right up until he goes, you never know!
I'm still waiting for AF to arrive 2 mths after stopping BF - every little trickle sensation and I rush off to the loo in hope. How ironic, as soon as it comes, I'll be desperate not to see it again for 9mths!

StarryEyed · 20/06/2005 15:24

Thank you so much for your kind words.

Yes he will be away for about 6 or 7 days before my OV date so I don't think there is a chance. Never mind. I do go through periods like this when my mood just dips but I do come out of them quite quickly - usually when I see my DD!

I can't remember what happened when I stopped BFing but I didn't do it for very long - about 5 months. Hope it arrives soon.

Hi all!
Hope you're feeling a little better today, Starry!
Flamesparrow - have you tested yet? Sorry to bring it up if it wasn't good news.

Trix1 · 21/06/2005 17:54

Flame - you are keeping us in suspence - Fingers crossed for you

Trix1 · 22/06/2005 14:18

What is going on with the trying for a February baby? Are you all out sunning your self?

Where are you? or is there now a trying for a March Baby thread?

flamesparrow · 22/06/2005 17:02

I'm allowed to test on Friday... but not allowed to say results until the Friday after!!!

Boy is a bit superstiscious about it all, and by then, I would be 6 weeks gone. I also will need to tell my sister before you guys, so she could have a very early call a week Friday.

BUT.... No bad news here, and not likin the smell of eggs anymore.

angelsfield · 22/06/2005 21:07

Hi all,

Sorry to crash thread but have been reading it for a while...

Flame - good luck for tesing time! Fingers crossed

Starry - hope you're feeling better today honey

Trix1 · 22/06/2005 21:23

Flame wishing you luck with testing on Friday.

StarryEyed · 23/06/2005 09:10

Morning girls

Flame good luck with testing. It really looks like we may have our first graduate. Thanks I am feeling a little better today. The weather helps. Isn't it glorious? Pity I have to be in work though!

I am on CD23, AF due between 28 and 30 June so we shall wait and see. I have a summer ball tomorrow which I am really looking forward to? Tell me girls do you think I should have a glass of wine. I have been very good with abstaining from alcohol but I did have a glass of champagne last Sat as we were at friends and they had opened a very special bottle. Didn't want to be a party pooper. What do you think?

OP posts:
Trix1 · 23/06/2005 09:53

Starry - I am sure you will be fine to have a glass of wine or two - just take it easy.

I think I might test tonight girls, I am on day 26 and have ordered soem of the early testers which should have arrived in the post by the time I get home. I am supposed to be going out tonight so would like to know - I have been getting up in the night all week to use the toilet - could that be a sign?

anchovies · 23/06/2005 10:09
