Trying for February baby?

Hi

I am new to Mumsnet and was wondering if any Mumsnet users trying for a baby would like to chat. I have a dd who is 2 and want another baby desperately. I have only been trying for one month and thought I was pregnant last month but was wrong. I got pregnant within a month with dd and thought the same would happen again. Could use some baby dust.

Hi Starryeyed and desperatehousewife
Been away on holiday so only just seen this thread. Can I join you please? TTC no2 aswell so fingers crossed for a February baby. Came off the pill after my last AF so this is our first month of 'trying'. Next AF not due until next Wed (8th) so if it doesn't arrive I'm going to try and wait until next Sunday to test - if I can!

Got pg first month of trying with dd, so i was kind of expecting that the same would happen again but i don't feel pg this time and I just knew straight away last time - but I suppose every time is different. And if I'm not, we'll just have to keep trying until I am!

If I'm not, it won't be through want of trying either - just spent the week I was due to ovulate in the Maldives with dh in a private villa with a jacuzzi in the back garden and an outdoor bed - he thought all his birthdays had come at once!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to you both!

desperatehousewife · 01/06/2005 11:50

hello Mandy - welcome to the scarily obsessive thread! I'd like to crown myself obsessive queen if I may! Your holiday sounds unbelievable. How amazing!

How old is your dd?

Not sure if my af was due yesterday, today or tomorrow...got my dates a bit confused (which doesn't really help my situation!) I'm normally so good with my dates too! Anyway no sign of it yet, but did ANOTHER test this morning and still neg. Humph. That's 6 tests I've done already this month - what am I like? RIDICULOUS that's what!

Good luck to you too...

desperatehousewife · 01/06/2005 11:50

whoops, sorry, meant MandM

MandM · 01/06/2005 13:41

It takes over everything doesn't it! I laugh everytime that ClearBlue advert comes on the radio where the woman keeps mentioning babies and potties etc, I've only been at this game for a few weeks and I already feel like that!

As long as your AF doesn't arrive there is hope - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and keep checking in for updates

desperatehousewife · 01/06/2005 13:51

its bonkers too, because the thought of being pregnant again and giving birth again and going through months of sleepless nights again, and the crawling phase and the seperation anxiety phase and the tantrums etc...just fills me with totaly fear! But for some bizarre reason I want to do it again. Must be biology!

MandM · 01/06/2005 14:04

Exactly! My dd is 4 now, so we've got passed all that yukky baby stuff, but here I am absolutely desperate to get back to it! I was out walking last night with dd and the dog and went past a house that had one of the upstairs windows open. I could hear a baby inside absolutely bawling the place down and all i could think was 'Ahhhhh!' Definitely insane!

There is another element to this for us aswell though. I normally post on the M/N Special Needs board as dd has Williams Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy, so in addition to craving another baby I am craving having a completely NT experience - which I know can't be guaranteed or pre-ordered (!) but it is what I desperately want.

Anyway, I need to actually pass the Conception stage before I can get onto any other worries!

BTW, got really sore boobs today, but can't decide if it is actually a pg sign, all in my head, or because of the uncomfortable strapless bra I'm wearing!!!!

desperatehousewife · 01/06/2005 14:25

my boobs are killing me today - again don't know if it's cos AF due. But i'm also convinced i have metal mouth (but woulnd't put it past me to have imagined it all!)

desperatehousewife · 02/06/2005 08:49

ok still no af. negative test yesterday. what is going on? I can't stand this! This has been the longest 2 weeks of my life!

StarryEyed · 02/06/2005 09:12

Hi girls

I only e-mail while I am in the office hence the silence. Dreaded AF arrived yesterday two days early. I am gutted but hey ho. My DH said I ought not to be upset as we have only been trying for two months but it is hard not to when it happened so quilckly with DD. Anyway here's to a March baby. Does that mean I will have to leave the thread ? My DD was born in March so if I am able to conceive another one in March that will be nice.

Desperatehousewife as long as there is no AF there is still hope. You may be the first to graduate. Fingers and toes crossed for you. Try not to test because it only makes you more anxious . Better to do something else to take your mind off things. Let me know how you get on.

Welcome to ManD and Slinky. What are your histories like?

Hi Ladies - Trix here.

Off work today so having a good nose through mn.

I am on the 'wewantaspringbaby' thread. I have been ttc for almost three years now. Have had two m/c in that time. I am now desperate for a March Baby.

I am on cd 6 now so its going to be a long busy month.

Good luck to all you ladies ttc.

desperatehousewife · 03/06/2005 19:50

hi starry

did a digi test this evening, still negative. really irritating, becuase i feel really pregnant now. Keep bursting into tears, keep dropping things, boobs killing me, feel nauseous and have NO patience.

God, if this is all in my mind then I am one sad individual. Hump.

Fed up
DHW

Trix1 · 03/06/2005 20:42

Dear Dh, when are you due on? Could it be you are testing too early?

desperatehousewife · 04/06/2005 08:27

was due weds, thurs or fri! (think prob thurs)

Trix1 · 04/06/2005 10:01

Wait until Monday/Tuesday and try again - fingers crossed!

desperatehousewife · 04/06/2005 10:41

no sorry, due tuesday or weds. Only ever 1 day late normally. I did a test last night and it was neg. is there any point in doing one today - or do i need to wait longer?

Trix1 · 05/06/2005 19:02

I was four days late last month and as I am usually never late was convinced I was going to get a BFP - did six tests as I had a lot on that weekend that involved alcohol and did not want to take any chances but each one came up as a BFN so if I were you I would wait a couple more days and try again - Good Luck

desperatehousewife · 05/06/2005 21:33

came on today...gutted! Also felt very very stupid - as I had obviously imagined all the preg symptoms. They felt So real

Trix1 · 05/06/2005 22:11

I am sorry dhw, I know what you mean about imagining the symptoms of being pregnancy I think I go looking for them myself.

Lets hope this is our month - can you imagine a lovely March baby - just in time for summer.

Diddle · 06/06/2005 08:19

DHW - i did exactly the same last month, felt very pregnant had all the "symtoms" i had with my 1st pregnancy, but then i came on too a few days late. I was gutted, i'd got my hopes up so much. won't be doing that again.
Its horrible isn't it.

StarryEyed · 06/06/2005 10:31

DWH

Sooo sorry to hear your AF has come. Bloody nuisance . You know what, I think you were probably pregnant but it didn't stick. That was why you were late. We will all stick together and try for a March baby. My DD was born in March. It is a lovely time of year and summer to look forward to.

My AF is just ending. My DH said we need to BD every day in order to have a chance I'm so desperate I am probably going to do it. With my luck I bet I won't ovulate this month!

OP posts:
MandM · 06/06/2005 10:53

OH DHW and Starryeyed - so sorry that your AFs arrived, but, hey, another month of "trying" every day sounds like fun to me!
I'm like you StarryEyed, I only really get chance to come onto MN when I'm in work, so I tend to post loads some day and then disappear for days on end! Think I should change my talkname to ScarletPimpinel (sp?!).
I'm on CD26 - due on Wed I think! This is my first month back off the pill so I'm not exactly sure about my cycle - I've been on it that long and got used to the perfectly regular 28 day cycles that I can't really remember what length they were beforehand - although they were very regular. Got pg with dd first month of the pill after being on it for 7.5 years, so not sure that I can hope to be as lucky this time round. A February baby would be fantastic but I wouldn't say no to a March one either!!!! I'm a March baby so I know how wonderful we are!

Trix1 · 06/06/2005 18:37

Hi MandM - Good luck with the testing.

Is is possible then that some months you may not ovulate? Does anyone know.

StarryEyed · 07/06/2005 08:57

That is definitely poss and increases with age.

I am at the end of my AF so here we go again. Where is everyone else?
