Hi

I am new to Mumsnet and was wondering if any Mumsnet users trying for a baby would like to chat. I have a dd who is 2 and want another baby desperately. I have only been trying for one month and thought I was pregnant last month but was wrong. I got pregnant within a month with dd and thought the same would happen again. Could use some baby dust.

Hi girls, I'm back again!

Just to let you know, so far my AF is 2 days late, but I'm trying not to get too hopeful/excited as it could just be that my cycle is a bit all over the place because of just coming off the pill - I really hope not!!!!

Have promised dh that I won't test until I am at least a week 'late' as he is worried about me getting my hopes up too early - or so he says - personally I think he is worried about getting HIS hopes up!

I'll let you know on monday if there are any developments - fingers, toes, arms, legs, everything crossed!

desperatehousewife · 10/06/2005 10:26

i'll keep everything crossed for you. GOOD LUCK!

angedemarche · 10/06/2005 10:47

oooohhhh very exciting, I'll keep everything things crossed for you as well.
XxX

angedemarche · 10/06/2005 10:48

ok, maybe not everything cos I want a one too.

StarryEyed · 10/06/2005 11:03

MandM

Good luck. DH how are you? Haven't heard from you in a long time. Thought everyone had deserted me DH has agreed to be around on BD duty for every night next week LOL Only sure way of saying we really tried IYSWIM. On CD 10. Where is everyone else?

Hi Starry,

Am putting things off for a couple of months as I really want to lose some weight! crazy eh?

Good luck
x

MandM · 10/06/2005 14:40

DH

Having a break from 'trying' could prove to be the answer anyway. Loads of people seem to fall pregnant when they stop 'trying'!
Do you have a lot of weight to lose or is it just a few pounds?

StarryEyed · 10/06/2005 15:07

DH

Does that mean you are going to stop chatting on MN? Hope not.

Lord knows I can lose some weight around my middle where my DD sat for 9 months Hey I figure if I am going to put on weight again with a second pregnancy, might as well wait to lose weight after that.

MandM good luck. Let us know how you get on. We will have a graduate soon...

Helloooo

Thought I'd come join you guys too (on the beanies4us thread too )

I'm on my very first month of trying. Fell for DD with one attempt, so I am trying to fight with mixed feelings of thinking it will be the same this time, and worrying that it will take years.

I'm on day 21 at the moment, and no idea how long my cycle is... Going with DD, I will know by about day 30 if I am pregnant regardless of AF, but they are all different, so I have no idea when I should test!!!

Its all so confusing!!!

Lucymoo · 11/06/2005 21:01

Hope im not to late to join in?Ive got a ds aged 14months who was a complete suprise,i got caught when taking antibiotics on the pill.We decided we'd like another,so i stopped taking the pill in January but still nothing has happened[SAD]Every month i get my hopes up,i get all the symptoms,do loads of tests only to have my hopes dashed.Im new to mumsnet and would love to make some friends with people going through the same.

Dana · 13/06/2005 13:26

Hi girls

I am also on first month of TTC.

Like you Flame, I fell pregnant with DS first month of trying. I hope it will happen quickly this time as well, but keep telling myself that it probably won't be as easy this time. At the same time I am scared that it will take ages and I will be really disappointed.

I am on CD9 now. AF finished Friday, but today I have some dark brown discharge (sorry if tmi ), so think my body is reacting to finishing the pill. Did any of you experience this when coming off the pill?

So I have no clue how long my cycle will be and when it will be regular again.... so think we will just have to do a lot of BD'ing and hope for the best. - DH won't mind

MandM, crossing everything for you. Let us know how you get on....

MandM · 13/06/2005 13:38

Bad news I'm afraid - got my AF this morning - I'm gutted . I was sat in a meeting at work and just knew what had happened. It was only the first month of trying but because I got pregnant in the first month with dd, I had got my hopes up.
Anyway, onwards and upwards, a March baby will do fine (my birthday is in March so I know march babies turn out OK ). Plus, having a March baby would mean my mat. leave would finish just as dd goes back to school in September!

MandM · 13/06/2005 13:39

Just re-read my post and laughed - I'm only on CD1 and I'm getting carried away again already!!!
BTW, hello and good luck to everyone else who has joined over the weekend .

homemama · 13/06/2005 19:32

Hi Starryeyed and friends, do you mind if I join the thread? Started ttc at the w.e DS is only 7.5m but would like them close together. Only took 1 month last time so hoping for a quick result this time too!

flamesparrow · 13/06/2005 20:04

Nope, nothing out of the ordinary when I came off the pill Dana. But everyone reacts differently. My body hated the pill, so just seems to be doing a big sigh of relief!!!

AF due on Friday (if I was still on pill)... but no idea now I'm not!!! Going to TRY and be restrained and not test til Sunday at the earliest (but that is a big TRY)

Don't feel the teeniest bit pregnant... but since I normally do feel pregnant when I'm not, I'm taking it to be a good sign . I am cleaning everything in sight, and very sleepy, but I think the sleepy is cos of the cleaning!!!

Trix1 · 13/06/2005 20:41

Hi everyone, Manydy so sorry about af arriving.

I wonder if anyone can tell me if this is normal but every month from about day 15 (currently on day 16) My boobs are so sore and tender really really painful. Also should you have cm all month well the second part of the month?

Cheersl ladies

hotmama1 · 13/06/2005 20:56

Evening Ladies. Hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread - I'm on the due in Feb 06 thread - and really hope that some of you join. Thought I'd let you know that I had two negative pregnancy tests before I eventually had a positive one - so there is hope until AF comes

I also wanted to lose some more weight before I conceived but OOPs! I'm doing Weightwatchers and you can keep on doing it until the end of the first trimester and my midwife says as long as you are eating a healthy diet it is O.K to lose a bit of weight during early pregnancy.

Really hope this helps (I'm a March baby and you get loads of Easter eggs for your birthday )

Good luck to you all.

flamesparrow · 14/06/2005 07:35

Trix - my boobs go sore mid month, my friend assures me that its because of ovulating.... I have a tummy ache too with it.

Not too sure about CM though - I don't know much about it!!!

Dana · 14/06/2005 08:01

Good morning all.

MandM, sorry about AF
A March baby would be perfect though (that's what I am hoping for too). Just in time for spring and as you say, a maternity leave that streches over the summer.

And March babies are wonderful - I was one too

Trix, Sorry don't know, hopefully someone else will be able to tell you...

Homemama - good luck to you too. It seems we are quite a few on this thread, who have just started trying.

homemama · 14/06/2005 08:45

Thank you Dana,
I only stopped bf last month and haven't had AF since jan 04 what with pg and bf so I have absolutely no idea when its due to happen!
Maybe, if i'm really lucky this month I can manage to escape it til next year again!

MandM · 14/06/2005 09:26

Morning everyone!

Wow, looks like we're getting quite a pose together on this thread now. And it seems like most of us are just starting to 'try', so it will be really good to be able to share stories, worries etc.

We'll have to do a role call soon!

Anyway, fingers crossed for everyone!

StarryEyed · 14/06/2005 12:19

Afternoon all

Sorry for the silence. Hello to the newbies and welcome.

Sorry to hear about the AFs. We will get there but not on the first attempt It is quite funny how so many of us conceived on the first attempt with the first pregnancy but not with the second.

I am on CD14 - thnk I OVed today. Of course I had my DH on standby last night but he got held up at work and only got in in the early hours of this morning. Just my luck. He was exhausted this morning but I jumped on him and did the deed before he could say what the heck

Hello everyone, you might notice that I am posting much earlier in the day than usual logged on at work. Would get in serious trouble if I were to get caught but just wanted to see how you were all getting on.

Ladies those of you who know how many dpo you are how do you know is it because you are charting your temp or is it you estimating I am on day 17 so how many dpo am I - three?

Sorry if I am asking very silly questions. This is now sixth month since mc in Dec and I am now getting really fed up with waiting for a bfp.

flamesparrow · 15/06/2005 08:13

No idea about temps etc...

How's everyone doing?? Any BFPs yet???

I don't feel the teeniest bit pregnant - apart from being tired... but I'm always tired, so no change there!!

Dana · 16/06/2005 08:28

Starryeyed - I am the same. Got a sudden urge to jump on DH last night, which I normally never get . So think must be about to ovulate. Only a guess though, as on CD12 and no idea what my cycle will be like - but I remember getting this same feeling around ovulation time when ttc DS.

  • DH was having none of it though, as too tired last night There will be no mercy tonight though

Last day of work before going on my holidays. Can't wait. Have rented a luxury holiday cottage by the sea with Jacuzzi and sauna. And next door is a waterpark and play grounds etc. to keep DS (and DH ) happy.

Flamesparrow, good luck at the weekend - hope AF doesn't show!

Hi to everybody else.
