KiwiKat · 08/08/2009 23:49

Out till 6 am, Stac? You party girl! No wonder you have a sore head - I would be dead on my feet at 3 am. Hats off to you. Paddington, do you think you can beat Stac's impressive session for you birthday celebrations?

stac14 · 09/08/2009 12:30

Hey paddington Its my 30th this Friday and all my friends are coming up, decided it was ok to let my hair down as I will be back to the counting and checking and hopefully a bfp. Whens your bday? Whats your plans for it?

kiwikat I was absolutely shattered, defo getting too old for this, this will be my blowout before getting my sensible head on for ttc

For the first time I am actually excited to see the cons at least now we know its the pcos causing problems and nothing else.

Just had a late brekkie and going to visit dps mum, what you up to? xx

clairebear88 · 09/08/2009 19:53

hey all

Hope you have all had a good weekend.

Stac - glad your tubes are clear and the procedure went ok

Kiwi - i went away for 2 days last month and forgot to take my clomid with me so i ended up taking it cd 2,3,4,7,8. when i had my cd13 scan my eggs were better than they had been for the past 4 months on cd2-6. I have purposely done the same this month to hopefully get good size eggs again. so it made a positive effect on me but not sure if its the same for everyone. dont worry too much if its not the same time each day though.

x

Hey ladies

Just back from the cons who has told us that because I already have son my only option is private fertility treatment, unfortunately there is no way we can afford this. I asked about letrozole and metformin which can help with pcos and he said he couldnt give me them. When pushed he agreed to give me 6 months of metformin with clomid so that what we are doing. After this he has offered us the chance to egg share to get a shot at ivf for £700 obviously this is significantly lower than £3000 per shot the downside is the other person could get pregger with my eggs and I might not so I suppose I am pinning my hopes on getting pg within this 6 months. So fed up but trying to be positive. Soz for the long post xxx

paddington21 · 10/08/2009 16:54

hey stac- am so sorry the cons did not provide the news you wanted. fingers crossed about the next few months. I feel the same about egg share but who knows how i would feel if it came down to it.

had half day today and am exhausted dreading the rest of the week

my bday is next wed, spending the day with dp then seeing friends out and about the rest of the week

hope all are ok hope and dust

from a v. sleepy paddington x

losingallhope · 10/08/2009 23:44

Hi all you girls out there, I feel I can talk to without being told, "relax, it'll happen"

What stages are people on clomid at? I've been on it since march after 2yrs of TTC with one MSC.
Started on 50mg and am now on a whopping 200mg. Feel rubbish but finally in July my progesterone was 34. I only have this month just finished last clomid dose.

Does anyone know what could be next? Am so scared we'll never be parents. Pray this last boost of clomid does it for me!

losingallhope · 10/08/2009 23:52

Anyone on clomid? What comes next or how long can you stay on it?

losingallhope · 10/08/2009 23:57

I need help with clomid, success s
tories, anyone know any? Am now on 200mg and this will be my sixth month
What next and why doesn't it always work?

stac14 · 11/08/2009 00:06

hey losingallhope there are lots of things you can go onto after clomid, unfortunately it doesnt work for all people I am one of those people. You can go onto using metformin with clomid or letrozole, then there is iui's and ivf so dont give up hope. Whats your diagnosis? I have pcos. xx

beanieb · 11/08/2009 14:24

Hi all... I was a part of this thread briefly before falling pregnant very quickly on my first round of 50mg of Clomid. Sadly I miscarried at 8 weeks-ish but am now about to take my second lot of Clomid after a short break.

I'm on CD2 and taking first tablet tonight.

paddington21 · 11/08/2009 19:43

hi all, welcome losingallhope- agree totally with stac i know its so difficult to be positive but there are lots of things to try if clomid doesnt work. im not it will work for me even though im ovulating and everything seems ok minus some cysts on my tubes.

beanieb- am so so sorry to hear of your loss. welcome back to the rollercoaster that is clomid.

hope everyone is ok- any news??

take care dust and hope

xx

KiwiKat · 15/08/2009 15:23

I don't know anything about this, Paddington, but am sending you a very un-MN hug, because it sounds like you need one. x

thank you kiwikat- yes i really need a hug, mucho appreciated x

Clure · 15/08/2009 22:54

hello all,
just back from my hols. Had a really lovely relaxing break. Managed to remember to take provera and tonight af has come so I can begin clomid (again!) tomorrow.
paddington sorry, I can't offer any answer to your question, when I had my hsg done it was nearly 5 years ago! Hope you get a resolution soon
stac hope you are ok after your consultation. What does metformin do? I've been wondering about something I read (possibly on this thread) about having an injection of something (this is the bit I can't remember) to stimulate the release of eggs - think you take it in conjunction with clomid. Wondered if you knew?
hi kiwi
sorry to hear of your loss beanieb so sad for you
losingallhope I took 50mg clomid first time round and manged to concieve first time- that was over 4 years ago. This time its a lot harder! Now on round 3 of clomid and taking 100mg. ~Try not to lose heart

Vics32 · 16/08/2009 10:19

Hi everyone!

Sorry to just butt in. I am due to start clomid next month. Been seeing the fertility doc for 12 months, had all tests etc, I wasn't ov. My partner became ill for a number of months, yada yada, now he's better we can finally get on!! I just wanted to make contact with people in the same situation as I'm expecting a bumpy ride!

Bit scared and not sure I can cope with lots of disappointment.

Good luck and hugs to everyone...

Clure · 16/08/2009 12:57

hi vics32, it can be a bumpy ride but there are also successes (my DD was conceived with clomid on the first cycle!) Is this your first round of clomid? I'm currently trying for baby number 2, I've already had 2 cycles of clomid. Good luck, there's lots of support and advice to be found here x

Vics32 · 16/08/2009 18:22

Hi Clure,

I was meant to try it before, I took my tablets but my partner was too ill for the rest if you know what I mean! So we had to postpone for about 9 months. I ovulated once in the last few months that I know of, which may have had something to do with me losing a couple of stone, but I don't really know what's happening now.

So next consult on 23rd Sept, and go from there!

Thanks for your support, just a bit apprehensive at the mo. Also, everyone else ON THE PLANET seems to be getting pregnant at the drop of a hat!!!!! x

paddington21 · 16/08/2009 19:27

hey clure glad you had a nice relaxing break.
welcome to vics32 good luck on your 1st cycle. it is indeed a bumpy ride but luckily there is always support here.

does anyone know what happens if you dont get an af after clomid? im sure when i was late last cycle (but never as late as now) my cons said something about just start taking your clomid after a week you were due? any ideas?

hope all are well and had a good wkend. working long old day tomorrow and seriously not looking forward to it.

hope and dust x

Clure · 16/08/2009 22:25

paddington I've had to take provera to induce af twice now before I can take clomid

vics32 I have my consultant appointment 14th September. Its so hard playing this waiting game, especially as my appointment has already been put back twice. I usually take my clomid at night to help minimise experience of possible side effects. hope this helps
