Hey paddington when I spoke to the consultant about my scan she didnt say anything about any ops for unblocking tubes just said it would mean ivf, who knows lol. Where did you go for the weekend? Hope you get sloshed lol xxx

islegrin · 14/07/2009 16:52

Hi Ladies! I know it's been awhile, but I've been reluctant to post here because I've been off clomid for so long (it seems). But I miss you all - so I had to stop by and say hi to stac, clure, paddington, clairbear and the rest! Pinkypanther - so excited to hear about the heartbeat of your little one! Awesome!!!

Has anyone heard from Awen? I wonder how she is doing.

Still ttc here - IUI today after straight injections this month (3x the scans and injections for me to try to plump up those follies - I'm so tired of needles!) but we have 2-3 follies on the good tube side, so hopefully one or two will take. What a dream that would be!

Love and sticky dust to you all!

Clure · 14/07/2009 20:24

good to hear from you islegrin also good news about number of follicles, wishing you lots of luck with the IUI

stac am supposed to go for another set of blood tests - aswell as the usual FSH and LH they particularly want to test progesterone and oestrogen. think thats to do with checking egg reserve

hi paddington its so tought this ttc. hope that your test goes ok on friday, a colleague of mine had a problem with her tubes - this was diagnosed through a laparoscopy, the lap dye must have done something to her tubes as she fell pregnant naturally quite soon after!

hello the rest of you. I also wondering where Awen is?
Still got a bad back and not able to do my gym classes - going stir crazy! Have got chiropractor appointment tomorrow so hopefully will start to feel better. Am nurofen-ed up here! xx

stac14 · 14/07/2009 20:36

Hi islegrin that sounds promising hun, I'm not on clomid anymore either just come on here cause I love the support I get from the girls. How have you been?

clure poor you with bad back, hopefully the chiropractor will fix it. When do you go back to the consultant for these bloods? When do you finish up school?

paddington heres hoping we wont need any surgery, we are probably just worrying for nothing, and are just unfortunate that clomid doesnt work for us

xxxxbaby dust to all xxxx

millymolly83 · 15/07/2009 00:35

hi stac ye really nervous. so what are they going to do for u next

stac14 · 15/07/2009 13:32

Hi millymolly how come your so nervous? did you have a rotten time last time? the consultant is sending me for an echovist scan to see if I have any blockages in my tube the he will decide from there xx

paddington21 · 15/07/2009 14:26

I really hope so stac oh well got to get to next friday now. no sex til then i dont know about anyone else but im like a dog on heat on this clomid- i want all day everyday-poor dp.
thats encouraging news clure i hope it has the same effect on me.

hope all are ok- am bored at home

paddington21 · 15/07/2009 14:49

does anyone know if you have antibotics after this hsg? and if they tell you if they are blocked there and then or do they just tell you something vague like 'yes there are cysts' 'but what does that mean??- panicked ms bear. 'oh i cant tell you not really sure- see your consultant' took me 2 months til i did and i spent a big bday just thinking the worst
-must stop googling myself silly emotion.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 15/07/2009 16:04

Paddington,

HSG is a tubal x-ray and is a useful test to have done as it gives information not easily accessible by other methods (like a laparoscopy for instance). Deformities INSIDE the tubes can only be seen on x-ray.

The proceudre should be painless provided the dye is injected both slowly and carefully.

They don't usually give antibiotics post this procedure but usually prescribe some painkillers in advance of the HSG being done. Do wear some sanitary protection afterwards; that dye comes out!. They should also be able to tell you there and then whether your tubes are patent (open) or otherwise.

Any other questions just ask.

Attila

paddington21 · 15/07/2009 18:29

Attila to the rescue thanks hun

stac14 · 15/07/2009 18:37

atilla how are you? I have been told I am being sent for an echovist scan which the consultants said was that they put air in your cervix and checked tubes etc on a scanning machine, have you heard of this or will it be the dye thing for me too? thanks hun x

stac14 · 15/07/2009 18:56

Heres what I found:

ACTION AND CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY
ECHOVIST is an ultrasound contrast agent consisting of a suspension of micron-sized air bubbles, formed upon reconstitution of specially formulated galactose granules with an aqueous galactose solution. Following intrauterine administration of the suspension, the bubbles serve to enhance ultrasound signals from the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes, thus enabling better visualization of these structures.
This is called a HSC is this the same thing as the x-ray?

stac14 · 15/07/2009 18:57

Sorry me again, this is a hsc is this the same as hsg? thanks x

Alfiemax · 15/07/2009 21:20

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I haven't been on for an absolute age. I have been having a very difficult time of late and finding it hard to cope with everyday life and emotions so haven't felt up to the internet. I still don't feel too good but I miss coming on here

I have has some seriously messed up af's as well and the GP thinks I may have mc'd on the cycle before last although in all honesty I don't think I was pg at all.

I had my last hospital appt on 29th May and they basically said there's nothing more they can do once the clomid has finished. This is all on top of the other problems I am faced with at the moment.

Anyway I am CD16 of this cycle and ov'd yesterday (I think). I have 4 month of clomid @ 100mg and then it's a choice of stopping altogether or saving for further treatment.

Sorry I didn't want to come on here and moan lol. I hope Everyone is ok and doing good!! Let's get these BFP's rolling.

XXXXX

millymolly83 · 16/07/2009 01:46

hi stac am nervous because am scared it won,t work. see when i was last on clomid i fell preg with the twins after only been on the tablets 2 months. but the doctor said it might not be that easy this time.

Clure · 16/07/2009 17:51

hello Alfiemax, so sorry to hear of your difficulties. If you can't let off steam here then where can you?! I'm also dreading the same possibilty as you in that I'm not sure what my next step will be when I've used up all my cycles of clomid. We'll wish for a bfp in the meantime!
millymolly I fell pregnant last time with my DD the first time I took clomid and I'm also thinking it won't be an easy ride this time.

I'm CD 27 today and thinking I may test this weekend if the witch doesn't get me.
baby dust to you all xxxxxxxx

stac14 · 16/07/2009 21:51

Hi ladies

How are we all? my af is gone yay lol

millymolly when are you due a scan to see if your oving? when I was taking the clomid I had to take the progesterone most months too as I wasnt oving so I would say you probably have been oving as your af has come on its own

alfiemax this is the best place to let off steam hun and we are all here for you. Can I ask why they wont give you other treatments after the clomid? you wont need it anyway I'm sure your bfp is just round the corner

clure how did the trip to the chiropracter go? hope your backs better and its bfp for you at the weekend

hi to everyone else xxx

Clure · 16/07/2009 22:18

hi stac chiro worked on my back for an hour. I was so sore afterwards but feel lots better today, apart from wrapping bag of frozen peas and tying it around my back! thanks for asking though. So where are you now in terms of CD? Are you going to discuss your next steps with consultant? I keep thinking af will be here any minute for me. Have got to go for my blood tests, may try to go tomorrow! xx

stac14 · 16/07/2009 23:12

wow clure had a mental block on how to work out cd there lol but I am on CD 10 so should be getting busy just in case lol. Glad your backs better. What are they checking your bloods for again? (I know I asked before but I have a crap memory lol)

n 4th of august.

culre am hopeing it will be like last time am so nervous

clairebear88 · 17/07/2009 12:53

Hiya all

I have just returned from my monthly int scan and had one on each side 18 & 19 so really good. So good they gave me the HCG injection to make sure they release. Its the 1st time of having it so fingers crossed. I was really surprised as I missed 2 clomid tablets so took them 2 days after. Maybe I need to take them CD3-7 or CD5-9 to make the perfect follicles. Well off to get busy and then the dreaded 2ww.
Its just so sad that we have to go through all this and that i feel my body is letting me and my DH down. We so want a little sprog and I would be over the moon with just one Dc.

Clure · 17/07/2009 13:49

clairebear thats really positive news. Havent heard of HCG injection, do they have to make sure you have follicles before offering the injection? Thats also intersting about taking your clomid a little later! Good luck with it.
stac bloods to test for LH, FSH, oestrogen and progesterone. Was going to try to go today but now having to wait in for plumber to fix leaking toilet. Life in the fast lane eh?

Bubblebell1 · 17/07/2009 16:36

im sorry to high jack... im on my 2nd cycle of clomid. this time its 100 mg.. the first cycle didnt work and i didnt come on so gp said to start 100mg on day 31 meaning that im back to day 1 (sorry if thats worded wrong)
so today is day 12 and i am in alot of pain. down below feels very tender and achey and just down right painful.

ive phoned the gp. is there anything else i should be doin?

thanks bubble xxx

Clure · 17/07/2009 17:14

sounds like it could be ovulation pain? that means clomid doing its stuff. hot water bottle usually helps. x

Bubblebell1 · 17/07/2009 17:29

thanks clure... was worried it was something worse...
