Hi everyone. I am starting up a new thread since our old one was reaching the 1000 post limit.

Here is a link to the old thread.

Hi Bluebell1, I am in the middle of my first Clomid cycle - 50mg on CD2 - CD6. So far I have had some hot flushes and less CM than usual, but nothing too major.

I think headaches and mood swings are quite common too. Good luck with it.

I'm feeling quite down about my chances at the moment - no idea if I have ovulated this cycle and starting to feel it's never going to happen for me. Hope the rest of you are doing ok x

pinkypanther · 07/06/2009 18:46

Oops I mean Bubblebell1 - sorry!

paddington21 · 07/06/2009 19:54

Hey bubblebell unfortuantely i have to endure one staff meeting( boring as hell when i could be watching tv/ in the bath instead) and three ten hour days in a row and a lot of paperwork too before any pimms

The side effects I have suffered are hurrendous mood swings- im talking completely irrational, tantrums. DP is thrilled! CM varies from cycle to cycle.

I think feeling down is normal too pinkypanther im on my forth cycle now and have been feeling really like this is only going to get worse and its never going to happen

Hope everyone else is doing well xx

KiwiKat · 07/06/2009 23:27

Ah well ... the witch as got me. Back on the clomid, and rather petulant today - which can't be too pleasant for the family to put up with. Still, knowing it's the clomid talking does make it slightly easier for me to make an effort to be a bit nicer.

So, here we go again. Peju, Bubble, and Paddington, (more or less - what's 2 days?) my new cycle buddies, let's get ready to RUMBLE!

atilla thanks for the advice, I am making an appointment tomorrow so hope I dont have to wait too long.

Sorry for af catching you kiwiKat and clairebear xx

Not great news here either. No large follicles, womb lining thick though and she said it has the white line which you see before ov, after usually blurry. May ov on my own later in cycle like i did with ds2 but dificult to tell. Am def producing oestrogen though so looks like the bfeeding isnt impinging too much on fertility, the PCOS is doing a good enough job for that

THis leaves me off clomid now till ds2 finally stops feeding which could b months and months. We are going to keep trying and hope for a little miracle but no more follicile tracking or appointments for a while. sigh

We will all get there, just a long road for some, bumpy at times. Mines hit roadworks..

stac14 · 08/06/2009 16:13

Hi ladies
clairebear thats awful about your friends and rotten for you about af hun, when are you back on the clomid?

awen sorry to hear your stopping the clomid for now, can't the fc do anything else to help you?

Well called for my app with fc and its not till next monday so a bit of a downer just wish it was this week as next week I have my uni exam which I am convinced I am going to fail

How are the rest of you? xxx

Clure · 08/06/2009 18:51

hi,

awen sorry about your ov, it is a bumpy road. you sound bit down. So will this be the last clomid for you till your DS stops feeding? how are you feeling? We were supposed to bd yesterday but we were both so knackerd after a hectic weekend, see how we feel later I've had a bit of a dodgy tum today otherwise I feel ok

stac hope the revising goes ok

kiwikat clairbear sorry about af. are you both starting another round of clomid now?

bubblebell my side effects were hot flushes, took my clomid at night

off to the gym, got ofsted at school tomorrow so need to take my mind off it!!

KiwiKat · 08/06/2009 20:47

Very sad about your friend, Clairebear, that's a rough thing to go through.

What are you studying, Stac?

Yep, am back on the clomid now, trying to stay rational and not too grumpy. NOT helped by our tv suddenly not getting any signal and showing only one picture, and pixilated, at that! for ages. No sound, just the odd snatch of dialogue, then silence again. DH in bed with a hangover headache, and I wouldn't DREAM of fiddling with the tv without him. Am pretty technically savvy, but not in this particular case. Sigh ...

You'll probably see rather a lot of me on here tonight.

KiwiKat · 08/06/2009 20:57

Meant to say hello to Clure and Awen and Fruit and everyone, but got sidetracked by moaning about my tv.

paddington21 · 08/06/2009 21:34

hi all... kiwikat, peju and bubble; hello cycle buddies!

Awen- aw hun so sorry to hear about the clomid news. Fingers crossed you ovulate later in the cycle.

Clarebear- hope your doing ok.

stac- yep i do get that. good luck in your exam you'll be fine hun.

sorry this is so rushed am very sleepy

hope and hugs to all who are feeling down right now x

MamaMaiasaura · 08/06/2009 21:49

Sorry i sounded so down earlier. Am actually doing ok. Havent cried this time and trying to look on positive which is i may ov without clomid and even if i dont i can seek further help in future. Yes last round of clomid for now, FC wants to px alongside metformin, which cannot be taken when breastfeeding as risk of hypo to ds2.

Clairebear - meant to say sorry about your friend one of my friend lost hers last week, she was literally just pregnant and hadnt told many people but it is just awful for her. She has been told she should be able to conceive again but leave it for this month and that is very common.

Stac - what are you doing at uni? Good luck with exam. Sorry you have to wait to see FC

Kiwi - how annoying about tv.. online shopping is fun though

Clure - yuck @ ofsted. What age do you teach? We are going to bd everyother day till bfp i guess. Is funny as it is bringing us closer than ever. Often only a quickie but great stress reliever and it is a bit of intimacy in a hectic evening often.

stac14 · 08/06/2009 22:50

Hi all,
I am studying for a degree in social care, have been doing it with open uni but hopefully going to do the next 2 years at uni as the home learning is v hard.

Glad everyone seems to have perked up, poor clure with offstead, hope the gym makes you feel better.

Beffy · 09/06/2009 18:46

Hi all! After reading all your messages, you have inspired me to join up so this is my very first post after joining my very first forum after months of reading other peoples threads.
I have been ttc since Jan '08 and was referred to fertility clinic Jan '09, had my 1st appt with consultant end of Feb.
Cycle is averaging 42 days since coming off pill so was given Provera to take 3 x day for 5 days, 5 wks from last af and on cd 2 take Clomid for next 5 days so from cd2 to cd6.
Had last af 26th April and next appt with cons was Fri 29th May when i had a very faint line on a HPT, went to GP on the Mon, did a urine sample there which had to be sent to lab, came back equivocal-neither - or + so did another one which came back BFP, this was all through my GP.
However, started bleeding at work on Monday (yesterday), Doc referred me straight to my fertility clinic (all on NHS) had ultrasound and internal scan but as would have actually only been 4 wks she could see nothing. Did blood test, got results today, less than 5 already, I definately have miscarried!! Gutted! But at least i know i can get pregnant now after 18 long mths!!
Spoke to my consultant on the phone as this is cd 44 (or is it now cd2????????) wanted to know if i could carry straight on with the clomid and class it as cd2 but he said no, i have to wait til i stop bleeding which could take 1-2 weeks then wait 5 wks from yesterday to take next Provera, THEN take clomid cd2 next time!
Anyway this horrible 2 days has made me want to sign up to mumsnet, it feels good to know I am not alone, BF is being lovely but wanted to feel the support from other girls going thru the same as me.

Lisylou1980 · 09/06/2009 19:32

Hi everyone and welcome Beffy. So sad to hear about your MC, it's horrible isn't it? I found the miscarriage threads a real support aswell but of course hang out here with us too! It sounds like good advice to let your body reset itself but I know it's awful having to wait.

Glad to hear your chin is up Awen Clairbear - AF is such a pi$$er when you've convinced yourself you're pg every month (sigh). I'm sure you will get round to feeling positive again.

Beffy sorry that you've had miscarraige. It is positive that you can get pregnant but very sad this one didnt stick. Lots of good support on here. I foind mumsnet years ago at a very hard time in my life and it has been fantastic source of information and support. DId you want to be added into the roll call?

clairebear88 · 10/06/2009 10:35

Hi All

Just realised I wrote a really long note yesterday and its not on here aarrgghh.

Thank you all for support, I agree we have all been a bit down of late and think its a good idea to have a virtual group
hug (((( )))). See I feel much better now.

Hi to Beffy, sorry to hear about mc but im sure after your body has a rest you will be all good to go with ttc again. Good luck.

I have been so moody the last 2 days I feel so sorry for DH. I have scan again next fri and hopefully get some fat follicles as its my anniversary that weekend

Bubble- I get lots of low pains and bloating too so can be uncomfy but I look it as its doing good on your ovaries.

Good luck and lets keep our chins up
cx

Beffy · 10/06/2009 12:04

Hi guys! Thankyou SO much for your support, reading your messages has just started me off again! I am trying to be positive and you're right, at least after trying for 18 mths, 1 month on Clomid and it worked!! I just wonder whether it will happen so quickly again, i truly hope so but it's so frustrating that i have to wait til NEXT af before i can restart on the Clomid! Also my best friend was trying for 2 yrs, she has pcos and after losing almost 4 stone she got a bfp, then mc after few wks but the next mth got another bfp (she is not on clomid)so we would have been due the same wk which was so exciting. Oh well i know this time it wasn't meant to be.
Yes I would like to be added to the roll call please but god knows wot cd this is now that i'm in middle of a mc. I started mc on Monday lunchtime, was that cd1? So this would be cd 3?? Does anyone know??
It's really good to know we are all going through the same thing and i really hope you all get your bfp's soon. I'm tryin my best to stay positive and be patient xxx

pinkypanther · 10/06/2009 13:14

Hi Beffy, really sorry to hear about your MC. I have a similar story and it's absolutely rubbish isn't it? I guess the only thing anyone can say is that at least it showed the Clomid worked for you and so I'm sure it will do again...

I had an ERPC after my MMC and the day of the ERPC (i.e. day 1 of the bleeding) counted as CD1. I then waited for a natural period before starting TTC again - mine didn't come back for 6 weeks but I think that was at the upper end, so hopefully yours'll be before that.

Welcome to the thread, anyway.

Really hope we have some BFPs soon!

lucygrif · 10/06/2009 14:52

Sorry guys not been on for AGES!! AF got me last month 3 days late had convinced myself i was pg! so am now on CD22, final round of clomid af due 18/19th unless its late again - had a MASSIVE flutter feeling in my uterus the other day like a spasm, felt like there was a bird flapping about just for a second, hope that's a good sign....

islegrin · 10/06/2009 16:18

clairbear I'm nearly the same with big fat follies and IUI today - my anniversary is tomorrow! It would be great to be pg this cycle (oh, who am I kidding! - It would be great ANY CYCLE!!!) Best of luck to you!

Beffy ((Hugs)) to you, hope the next af comes soon and you can get back on Clomid for another try - looking forward always helps me. In the meantime try to find something fun to distract yourself. It will happen!
