Hi all... well minus me stuffing my face with food all is ok but a bit on the worried side about the scan. Am really hoping your folicles develop over the weekend Awen stac understand what you mean about letting DP down i just pray this makes all of us stronger and there must be some kind of silver lining... yes i realise im talking rubbish but hey this is me being positive- please take your seats as this is showing for a limited time only!

Booked my scan (really worried about it) for the 15th day 12. is that normal time?

Booked some accupunture any success stories on that?

Enjoy the weekend im starting mine by being on mumsnet tidying the house.

Hope and Dust

stac14 · 05/06/2009 19:00

Hi ladies
I phoned my consultant who eventually phoned back and the upshot is I have to get an appointment asap as its obvious the clomid isnt working for me, so I am really chuffed he is taking me seriously

paddington dont be worried about scan its good the doc is monitoring you properly, also may mean they can decide which way forward hun so keep up the positive thinking {{hugs}}

Clure · 05/06/2009 19:22

stac thats good that things are moving in a different direction for you, hopefully you'll feel better once you've talkd options with consultant

paddington hoping your scan goes ok. Did you book that seperate from your clinic?

paddington21 · 05/06/2009 20:20

Hey stac at least things are finally moving forward for you... just because you might not have more clomid does not mean we give you permission to leave us! (hug) I would miss you and i havent even been back very long. I know if they find anything on this scan then it can be fixed (or not. but at least i know whats actually going on. its just the actually knowing that scares me.. all that ignorance is bliss etc.)

clure nope thats at my clinic which is within the hospital and im the 1st in on the 15th woop! How are you doing hun?

Much hope and dust x x x

MamaMaiasaura · 05/06/2009 22:12

Paddington - try not to worry about the scan. It really is fine and not painful. Smear tests are much worse! I have another on monday and i am very glad they are monitoring me. I know what you mean about ignorance being bliss in a way. I symptom spot so much and actually convince myself i am either about to ov or already pregnant.. then feel all deflated when i find out otherwise.

Stac - glad you're seeing your FC and they are taking you seriously. It is so tough though as clomid seems to be a wonder drug when in fact it isnt always. I hope that they give you the right help to allow you to have your little bundle in your arms xx If you do stop clomid please dont leave thread as we'll miss you

Wow 2 posts from me in 1 day !! can you tell that things are a bit calmer here? x

Clure - how is it going cycle buddy? Good about your CM. Mine isnt lots atm, and drinking yucky grapefruit juice. Skipped bd tonight as we built a climbing frame and watched movie. Will be busy tomorrow and sunday Kind of looking forward to monday as a 'answer' to where we are going but also dreading as paddington said, ignorance is bliss sometimes.

Bubblebell1 · 06/06/2009 08:38

Hi girls!

how are you doin?

Good luck for everyone with scans coming up. i hope they find something that can be fixed.

Well, AF showed up this morn. I am so pleased. but now i dont know when to start thaking the clomid.

what days are best? 2 - 6 or 3- 7????

thanks bubble

AttilaTheMeerkat · 06/06/2009 10:44

Paddington

Please don't worry about the scan.

Awen

Hope you get some good news re the follicles next week; the ideal size for one of these is abot 20mm. Multiple follicles though are par for the course with PCO although one of them may become dominant and get bigger. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Bubble

have further replied on your other thread.

With best wishes to you all

Attila

Clure · 06/06/2009 10:52

Bubble I took my clomid on days 2-6.

morning all. Just got back from doing triathlon. My swim was dreadful, we got into the lake and it was bloody freezing. Out of lake straight onto bike in a wet tri-suit, couldn't feel my feet. Why do I let myself be talked into these things!!

Good luck with scans all you ladies who have thm this week. Have been bd-ing here!

boo1981 · 06/06/2009 13:50

hi all so sorry i haven't been on 4 a while. af showed up am now on cd 12. have finshed my last course of clomid as was only prescribed 3 months. bck 2 c fc end of june, don't know what he'll suggest as have been ovulating on clomid but they think i ovulate anyway. just wish there was some miracle drug 4 my dh low sperm count and low motility.

paddington good luck with ur scan xx
stac it is so bloody horrible all this emotional hormonal rollercoaster thing. i wish u lots of luck. xx

baby dust 2 every1 xx

ccpink · 06/06/2009 15:46

hi all
clure - at least you attempted it. I think a session of baby swimming is exhausting
bluebell - I think I might be in same boat as you...

Doc said I've got to wait til I come on [god knows when] then have day 21 to see if any change in my levels since having dd. If not then he'll give me 3 months clomid before referring me back to the gyny. I was quite pleased with that just need to come on! Hoping bd practising will help!

Bubblebell1 · 06/06/2009 17:15

cc i hope AF arrives for you soon. How long has it been? my last cycle was 55 days

My gp said i could take it without AF and count the first day as cd1. but AF came so can do it the 'normal' way. Will have the day 21 test done to see if i ovd with the clomid.

Fingers crossed for you xxxxx

clairebear88 · 06/06/2009 17:18

Hi all

Good luck to all with scans and hope there is a nice big follicle waiting.

Boo - my dh did have a slightly low sperm count and motility ( 18million i think when ave is 20-60million). He has been taking vit tabs with selenium in and they have boosted him to 35 mill and better movement. Also there are other foods which are good like berries and oranges. Also men can take folic acid apparently and it makes the sperms tail stronger so helps with movement too.

clure-you sound amazingly fit you go girl.

Bubble - i think cd2-6 is the norm but different docs give different advice. better before bed to reduce side effects.

Update - im on CD27 and no sign of AF as yet. I gave in and done a test today but BFN . im still getting symptoms of pregnancy which are different to the ones Ive had on clomid for the last 8 months but Ill wait and see if AF arrives and if not ill do another test mid week. What is going on???
Im off to a partay tonight but gonna take it easy with booze just in case.

Take care and have a great weekend all

stac14 · 06/06/2009 17:26

Hi all

awen and paddington of course I wont leave, I would miss you all too much. I am just glad he is going to look at other avenues, its crap that body doesnt work itself but I have tobe positive so I get my bundle of joy.

paddington please dont worry about scan it is painless and its better to know what your dealing with then the doc can help you with treatment that suits you.

Well done clure on the triathlon, have you asked about being monitored with bloods.

bubble thats great your af appeared no your on the clomid train, hope its lucky for you

cc when are you due on? would your doc not give you provera to start you off?

Hi boo hows things been with you?

Cant wait till monday to find out when I get to see the consultant
atilla do you have any idea what your progress to if the clomid doesnt work?

love, hugs and lots of baby dust to you all!! ***

paddington21 · 06/06/2009 17:35

Hi all, thank you for all your kind words of encouragement on the scan front... at least i shall know what im dealing with.
AF is giving trouble in a big way practically hobbled around the supermarket this morning it hurt so much also the bad moods the back- DP is thrilled!
On day 3 now so 2nd day of clomid dont think the side effects have kicked in yet.
did anyone's symptoms get worse or get new ones when they upped the dose?
clure woo get you!

stac am so glad you wont leave us

Baby dust and hope to all xxx

AttilaTheMeerkat · 06/06/2009 17:43

stac

Its usually injectible drugs next and they may consider ovarian diathermy surgery as well.

stac14 · 06/06/2009 19:37

Hi atilla Whats ovarian diamathy? I thought he might try another drugs combo or is it the hcg shot?

Glad your feeling better about the scan paddington

paddington21 · 06/06/2009 19:43

hi all just a quickie... im going on a girl weekend next sat (day 10) on the drinking front: few beverages ok, do you think? will obv. not get drunk but would feel very awkward( would have to explain why im not drinking and i do not want to) not joining in as it were.

Thanks stac

Clure · 06/06/2009 22:27

Hi paddington I personally would say a couple of drinks would be ok, (I may get shot down for that!!) Have a fab time

Bubblebell1 · 07/06/2009 08:43

Morning girls!

how are you all?

paddington i think you should just enjoy yourself. A few drinks wont hurt.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 07/06/2009 09:04

Hi stac,

Ovarian diathermy is a keyhole surgery op where the surgeon pricks the cystic follicles on the polycystic ovaries with an electrical needle or laser. It can kickstart the ovulation process. Its also why my DS is here!.

MamaMaiasaura · 07/06/2009 15:01

Thank attila

Ok.. went to loo today TMI ALERT.. when i wiped lots of CM and very very stretchy and egg white like also achey. Trying so hard not to be excited but not had this much cm since i last conceived. (have to say was a bit paranoid it was sperm but that wouldnt be like that would it? )
