Paddington - sorry about bfn. Scan would be an internal one (not very uncomfortable) and they are looking for larger follicles to see if egg about to be released.

No signs of ov here, have scan tomorrow but trying to steel myself that it will be no good. So want to it to be good news but getting used to dissapointment.

HI stac wrote long message yesterday including to you and lost the whole lot.

Update on my friends baby, out of hospital, will need op but not immediatly. Mum and baby and toddler sister and exhausted daddy all doing well

Clure · 04/06/2009 09:35

hi all,

Awen how are you cycle buddy? I have been offered no monitoring just get on with it! Poor dh came off his mountain bike with cuts, grazes and nettle stings and then had to bd! Not sure about ovulation at all. oh well, hope your scan goes ok

paddington hi, sorry for your bfn. Have you taken provera before?

hope the rest of you ladies are well. My sister about a week away from her due date, very excited for her (still a bit tough though) off out now

xx babydust xx

Bubblebell1 · 04/06/2009 14:45

Hi girls!

I hope you dont mind me crashing in like this but i wondered if you could help me.

I was perscribed clomid today and told to start it in a few weeks. (waiting for the results of DHs sperm test.) Im on day 54 of my cycle and no sign of AF. Gp said that the first day i take clomid will be cd1 and to get busy on days 11 13 15 and 17 . I wondered if this sounds right? She said i dont need provera. i can just start the clomid and she didnt mention scans to check for follicles just a day 21 test???

Sorry, im just really scared about taking it and wanted some advice.

thanks

bubble

stac14 · 04/06/2009 15:22

Hi ladies I haven't ov'd this month just as I thought. So fed up with this, been taking clomid since begining of the year and have only ov'd once. Phoned my consultant who of course isnt in the office. Trying to keep optimistic that maybe cd28 bloods will show oving but have been here so many times before I am sick of it. Sorry for the rant just feeling pretty down at the moment.

paddington sorry about bfn, when have you to start provera? that will be my next step

awen glad to hear your friends baby is at home, I bet they are all exhausted. Whens your scan?

Welcome to the thread bubble you can take your clomid without af, i know of a woman on another thread who fell pg with twins on her first cycle and no af so it can work. Why have you to wait a few weeks to start?

clairebear Will keep my fingers crossed for you hun

Hope everyone else is doing well xxx

Clure · 04/06/2009 15:23

Hi bubblebell I waited around 117 days for my AF! I had provera to induce af but nothing happend and consultant trebled provera dose. I know one of the ladies on here was told she could take clomid without having a period but I personally hadn't heard of this and waited for af to arrive before taking clomid.
Sounds about right that you "get busy" on those days, I'm starting on day 10 just to be on safe side! I was also offered not scans or monitoring but I know lots of ladies on here are monitored and its a bit of a no no to take clomid without it.

I'm sure you'll find lots of advice, this is a really supportive thread. Good luck

Clure · 04/06/2009 15:25

Hi stac sorry, you must be so fed up. {hug}

Bubblebell1 · 04/06/2009 15:44

Thanks girls!

the gp said DH needs to of had a sperm test to rule out any probs with him.(criteria for her to perscribe clomid?) He is going next thursday morning and then it takes a week to get the results.

Thinking i may just start them anyway. ???? its too much temptation with the perscription sat in my handbag.

stac im sorry that you didnt ov this month. I think thats my biggest fear. [hugs]

I find myself getting excited about the prospect of clomid but have to remind myself its not a gaurentee that i will get pg.

stac14 · 04/06/2009 17:28

Hey bubblebell As clure said someone on here was told to start without AF (it was me lol) but my AF came before I started the clomid. Please don't get worried about not oving, you will be fine hun. I probably would take it anyway cos I got clomid before dp sperm results came in, in fact I have had clomid since december and he only did sperm test a month ago, my consultant said this was ok as DP has a DS already. Just wondering what your diagnosis is? I have pcos. Thanks for the hug x

Hey clure how have you been feeling? Thanks for the hugs, feel as if I am on here moaning like this every month lol xx

pinkypanther · 04/06/2009 17:47

Hey Stac, sorry to hear your news. PCOS is so rubbish isn't it? Fingers crossed for the next set of tests. If it makes you feel any better, the one time I got pregnant, we worked out I must have ovulated on CD40!

Hello Bubblebell, I was told in the end that I could start Clomid without AF, as long as I took a pregnancy test first. Hope Mr B's count is ok!

Bubblebell1 · 04/06/2009 17:53

stac i havnt been diagnosed with anything. she just said im not ovulating and can try clomid for 3 cycles and then she will refer me to see a consultant.
I have 2 boys already (8 and 2)and both were concieved very quickly. this time ive been trying since oct and nothing has happened.
I have had blood tests done a few times and a scan which all show normal levels and my womb and ovaries look 'normal'.

im going to get the clomid tomorrow and then start taking it sat. Is there a best time to take it?

Clure · 04/06/2009 18:11

Hi bubblebell I took my clomid in the evening so that if there were any side effects they would probably happen at night.

hi stac you moan away thats what we're all here for!!

I'm not convinced about my ovulation, I'm on CD11 but haven't seen any cm, not sure if its too early or not ovulating.

Westkazza · 04/06/2009 18:45

Hi All,

Sorry I haven't been around. I haven't had internet for weeks. Just thought I would pop in to see how everyone was doing. Things at this end are good. I'm 11 weeks and the due date is 23rd December!!. Everything is fine at last after M/C's previously.
Hope everyone is ok and good luck to all of you xxxxx

paddington21 · 04/06/2009 19:33

Hi all... well you never guess what showed up at half 7 this morning while i was practically asleep on the loo.. good old af- they just love to sneak in at the last moment! in a way bit relieved as dont want to take provera( i have taken twice before only reason dont want to take it just slows this cycle down)
Thanks awen about the internal scan am so scared i dont want to see bad news! it was bad enough when i had my scan to find out i had pcos i just dont ever want to feel that way again
I really feel for you this journey just seems to get harder and harder.

Dont you worry about moaning stac that is exactly what we are here for and one day it will be our time... who knows when but it will!

hope all are ok xxx

ccpink · 04/06/2009 20:02

hey all
Is there any room on this bus. I'm going to the doc tomorrow and going to beg for Clomid. Trying for no2. No 1 is a Clomid baby. Was trying to be natural this time but it isn't happening. Been off the pill since Sept. You guys think he'll give it to me. I had a pill to start my period last time and then Clomid. Had one period and then got preggers - felt like a miracle. Am on day 35 at the moment and so sick of ridiculous cycles!!!
Hope you don't mind me hopping on - I can jump off just as quick

pinkypanther · 04/06/2009 20:51

Hello ccpink and welcome - I always heard they would treat you after 6 months of trying if you were 35 or over (and especially with previous history). Hopefully your GP will see it the same way.

I had to beg for Clomid, despite my PCOS and record 200 day cycles... I got it in the end because I said I was very tempted to buy it off the internet otherwise - not that I recommend doing that...

Paddington - sorry it wasn't a BFP but at least you know and can get back on the Clomid wagon...

Clure · 04/06/2009 21:02

ccpink I had DD with clomid (fell first time!!) Tried for while for no 2, periods stopped, saw consultant who asked if I wanted clomid, I took his hand off! There's a good chance you'll get it.

ccpink · 04/06/2009 21:10

thanks pp and clure - clure you give me hope how many cycles have you done this time?
I'll report back tomorrow and see if I get my pass to be on this bus!

Clure · 04/06/2009 21:29

hi ccpink, I'm just on my first cycle (CD 10) however I don;t have time on my side at 41!!

ccpink · 04/06/2009 21:57

i hope it happens quickly for you again then clure
xx

stac14 · 04/06/2009 22:31

Hi all, thanks for the words of encouragement, I had a bit of a rant and i'm ashamed to say a cry but have sorted my head again.
paddington sorry to hear af got you hun but good you can get back on the clomid without the use of provera.

Welcome cp defo go begging for clomid, I had no af for about 9 months when gp eventually gave me clomid, now am under a consultant, good luck hun

Thanks again for the support xxx

KiwiKat · 04/06/2009 23:07

Sorry you've been feeling down, Stac. The witch always makes me very blue, too. AF is due today/tomorrow, so I'm trying to stay focussed on starting the clomid again rather than crashing into depression about not being pregnant.

Amelied, how are you doing? Hope everyone else is ok.

Morning ladies Scan wasnt good news i'm afraid, though there might be a bit of positive in there. Lots of little follicles (no leaders or big uns) but womb lining nice and thick. This could be a positive sign that the oestrogen is being produced and i may actually be preparing to ovulate. Or it might be because of the lots of little follicles. FC scanning me again on Monday to see if any progress. If none we are going to just leave things in terms of medication till lo stops bfing.

Did the deed last night and keeping bding everyother night just in case (also it's fun )

Stac - totally understand the cry ((hugs)) I get frustrated with my body not doing what is 'normal' and seemingly easy for everyone else. I know it isnt actually the case but it feels like it.

stac14 · 05/06/2009 10:11

Hey awen hope the folicles develope over the weekend for you hun, thanks for what you said thats exactly what I was saying to DP last night, just feel as if I am letting him down.

kiwikat how are you feeling this month? Think I will have to wait till next week to start provera for AF, more upset as even with clomid I'm not ovulating but waiting to hear from consultant

How ar the rest fo you today? Its actually rained here this morning, hoping this will give us better weather for the weekend xxxx

Clure · 05/06/2009 10:28

hello all

awen hopefully monday will bring some better news on follicles. I also bd every other day. This morning noticed some cm which I've not had for months and months and so taking that as a good sign that clomid is beginning to do its job in kick starting my hormones!

stac i know how you feel, body not doing what it should, you feel a bit of a failure at times.

kiwikat hope your feeling ok, guess its good that you using the af as an opportunity to get going with the clomid (I know thats what I did when I was waiting the 5 months for af to show up!)

my friend taken DD for a play at her house with her DD (who is my DD's "best friend in the whole world") so i've hoovered the house like a mad woman and now off for a little run.
Was told yesterday that my school have ofsted next week. Oh joy!!

Good weekend all of you x
