Lets get some more BFP's this month

ImmaterialGirl · 20/08/2009 21:45

Trying4 do it! We need some action and some good news!

I guess it's difficult to tell since none of us know our usual cycle lengths, but provided it's not abnormally long I think it's possible you could get a BFP tomorrow.

And yes, the fact that BPF and AF have many of the same symptoms is driving me up the wall right now...

Trying4Baby1 · 20/08/2009 21:51

lol. Ok think I'll test tomorrow morning and see what happens! Yeah, I've been on the pill for years so have no idea what my cycle will end up like. Just hoping that it goes back to be as regular as it was before I went on the pill. Well will let you know how I get on but might not be till evening as I'm in work all day. Anyway better go and pick up DH from his work.

Ozziegirly · 21/08/2009 00:39

Yeah test away -good luck!

Also, curlycasper for the last couple of months we have started BDing from about day 10 and nothing has happened. I wonder if I am ovulating earlier as I often get that middle pain on CD8.

So from this month coming (if I'm not PG which I don't think I am as I feel totally normal) I'm going to start temping from CD1 and OPKing from CD6.

This would make sense as I have a 27 day cycle. Plus the last month and the month before we BD pretty much every day from CD10 to CD16 and nothing.

CurlyCasper · 21/08/2009 08:20

ozzie thanks for that. I was starting to wonder this morning. Sorry if TMI but AF appeared to wrap itself up a couple of days ago (Day 6) but during this morning's CM check there was some colour, and then I got small sharp pains in the womb area on the way to work. Could these be signs of fertility or am I starting to fall into the symptom spotting habit already? I would have thought CD8 was far too early - but then again I don't have a consistent cycle and it could be short this month. I have a pack of 10 OPKs from ebay, so might try POAS and see!

Guess if I keep an eye on CM, temps and Cycle length it will become apparent. I can't start unprotected BDing until Sept 28 anyway (which will probably be past the fertile window in my next cycle), so there's plenty of time for more body watching and rehearsals with DH!

trying good luck with the test!

Looking forward to hearing of some BFPs over the next few days

fulhamgirl · 21/08/2009 09:03

Heya guys!!

Thank you for telling me what some of the short terms mean lol I was getting really confused with some of them!!

Right a quick update im very confused tbh with you!! Maybe I tested to early as I got a BFN on Sunday. Is it to early to get symptoms though?

My boobies are so so so sore to the point I cant wait to take my bra off and I have to hold them as I walk down the stairs lol sorry guys.

I have been feeling a little sick now and again during the day on and off!! Sooooo emotional like crying over such silly litle things and thinking things are 100% worse than they are. Not really got tummy cramps though I have back and neck pain!! And I keep going to the toilet 3 times last night and keep going this morning (think its to early for that to be a sign, just hoping its not an infection)

Im scared to test again as I got so disapointed last week but as you guys said I prob tested far to early.

How is everyone else feeling? Its so exciting now im keeping my fingers crossed for you all!! Anyone else got any symptoms?

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Trying4Baby1 · 21/08/2009 09:20

Hiya all, decided what the hell I'll do a test so did one this morning and BFP!!! Still can't believe it. OMG well no going back now . Showed DH as I hadn't even told him I was testing just incase I got a BFN. He just looked like he was in shock. Line wasn't really dark and I know that doesn't matter but going to do another test on Sunday as it should be more pronounced and might help it sink in a bit more!!

Still can't believe it but had to tell someone so you guys are my someone. Feel sorry for DH as we decided not to tell anyone till after first scan and that would be ages away. Never mind he's better at keeping a secret than me!

ImmaterialGirl · 21/08/2009 09:32

Hurrah!!!! Trying4 (or should that be SucceedingAt now? ) that is brilliant news!!

I read your message and just broke into the biggest smile, was wondering if I'd feel envious when people start announcing BFP's, but I'm just really happy for you!

Onwards ladies!

Trying4 I guess you'll be moving over to the pregnancy section, but do come by and say hi once in a while?

kkas · 21/08/2009 09:37

Happy Friday all,

trying4 congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just really went all tingly when I read that. So happy for you and DH. Hope you continue to keep us updated because it really does help all of us who are stuck in TWW or endless BD!

fulham that still sounds very promising. Let us know how you get on.

Nothing here to report, other than last night we were out for some drinks with DH's colleagues from work. It was to celebrate someone's return from maternity leave and another one of the women announced that night that she was 3 months along. So good news all around and talk focused on all things baby. Of course the chat turned to "who's next?" and all attention turned to DH and me! (We have been married 4 years and most of the people we were out with had been at our wedding)

Anyway, I was on the lemonade and could not help blushing bright red! Even though we tried to deny it ("Oh...not us... we have to... uh.... keep working hard to pay for our new house..."), I think it was totally obvious that we are trying. But everyone just smiled and luckily the subjet was changed quite quickly. So embarassing because everyone must think - oh there's lots of BD going on in that house, definitely!

ImmaterialGirl · 21/08/2009 09:37

fulhamgirl last Sunday would have been a bit early to test, so no reason why you couldn't still be pregnant if no AF yet.
If you can wait another couple of days, maybe test again this Sunday? Your symptoms do sound promising, but the mind has a nasty way of playing tricks on us when we really really want something to be true, so it's difficult to know for sure until you see that BFP.

Trying4 it must have been so great to show that stick to your DH? I can't wait to do the same at some point. We'll also be keeping shtum about it until after the first scan. I guess you'll have MN to keep you sane while you wait!

xxx

fulhamgirl · 21/08/2009 09:38

Oh Trying4 im sooooooooooooooo happy for you!! Congratulations huni!!

ImmaterialGirl im sure your be close behind in the other section as well!! But please come and keep up posted on your progess!!

Im so happy for you best news ive had all week seriously!!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

fulhamgirl · 21/08/2009 09:40

I think I might test again then tomorrow morning guys what do you think?

xxxxxxxxxxx

ImmaterialGirl · 21/08/2009 09:41

oops, x-post with kkas

It's difficult isn't it, realising what everyone is thinking. It's a little bit easier for me as I'm not married to DP (yet), and people have a way of thinking that these things happen in a specific order, but I have a few friends who have hinted...

The most difficult is coming up with excuses for why you are drinking so little in social situations!

ImmaterialGirl · 21/08/2009 09:44

and x-post with fulham

If you want to test tomorrow, go for it! Do you have a stash of ebay cheapies to make sure you don't ruin yourself? I have a very strict rule of no expensive pg tests until I'm very sure to just use as a final confirmation...

Thanks for updating the list IM

Congrats Trying I thought i'd feel envious but I just feel all smiley and happy for you. Glad to have our first BFP on the list! Good luck everyone.

Go for it Fulham it'd be nice to have more graduates.

Dancing round sprinkling babydust!!!

kkas · 21/08/2009 11:06

Curly I think I had that very faint pink spotting just now too. And lots of CM, although I wouldn't say it was the consistency of EW, just pretty watery. No sharp pains that I have noticied here, though, although I will be on the look out this afternoon. Sorry if TMI! I think I'm only a day ahead of you, so hopefully it is signs that we are fertile... def gonna grab DH tonight!

fulhamgirl · 21/08/2009 11:13

Heya guys!! DH wants me to test tonight!!

Its not the best time to test is it at night?

kkas and Curly good luck guys happing bding lol!!

I will be looking forward to your outcomes!!

claireinthecommunity · 21/08/2009 11:21

Wow that certainly woke me up (am sitting in bed with laptop, had very late night with work) Congratulations Trying4 I can't believe we have a graduate already - it's fab Yes as Immaterial has mentioned, are you going to be changing your name now?

Ozzie and Curly how are you both getting on with the temp charting, have there been any patterns yet? I've just been following my CM, but and thinking about further investigation into when I'm actually OVing if not PG this month.

fulham, things sound positive for you (pun intended) I did have a giggle at the vision of you holding your breasts when walking down the stairs - sorry

kkas, it sounds as though you have a great group of friends there who are interested in your life, but able to give you the space to tell them your plans as an when you're ready. Some of the friends that we've actually told are very much like that, they know we are TTC, but they don't ask any questions - they wait to be told any progress that we may or might not have.

I've just taken another look at the list, it's so encouraging to have that BFP there, and called down to DH and he thinks it's brill too, he said woohoo!!

CurlyCasper · 21/08/2009 13:21

CONGRATULATIONS TRYING [GRIN] Can't believe we have a graduate, so happy for you (if a wee tiny bit envious!)

Kkas Snap for the CM, but I really did think it was too soon. And the pains were just that once, nothing since. Nonetheless I hope it is a good sign for us both!

I might well be jumping DH tonight, but unfortunately it will be fully protected - Hope yours are successful activities!

Fingers crossed for you testing fulham! Claire your DH sounds a sweeheart. I reckon if I share good MN news with mine he'll just roll his eyes!

Temping etc - last month's started to look promising, then went wonky. i had two temperature peaks and no pattern with CM to speak of.

Now consuming muchos grapefruit juice as it's supposed to help you produce more CM and therefore give a clearer "reading" IYSWIM.

From after last peak to now temp has generally been between 36.36 to 36.63, but it did go to 36.78 when I think OV was last month (? ). I had five identical days before AF came along. Since AF it's been a bit up and down but not drasticly different.

I'm telling myself I'm probably wonky because of coming off pill - but there are a wide range of patterns considered "normal" and some of these look really erratic (I've been following the Fertility Friend lessons).

This is long enough and my lunch is crying out to me! ta ta for now x

fulhamgirl · 21/08/2009 14:09

Thank you curly. Im looking forward to hearing your news soon as well!!

I will test tomorrow morning a little nervous as have bad period pains!!

I took a first response the other day which can test upto 6 days before your period. Its been 4 days since then and still no AF so hoping I ov late and im still preggers!!

Keeping my fingers crossed but am nervous!!

xxxxxxxxxxxxx

sky27 · 21/08/2009 14:19

Curly I tried the grapefruit juice this month and it helped loads..but it does have to be pure not concentrate?!?! I even got tinned grapefruit and found that easier some days

OK so I said I wouldn't get obsessive esp. before 6dpo but I'm having weird twinges like ov pain but nearer the middle and my legs are achy?!?!

claireinthecommunity · 21/08/2009 14:51

Thanks for the info re temping Curly, so like all things TTC related it varies from women to women. I do get a good idea (I think) of when I'm OVing through my cm, I'll see what happens this month then maybe take up temping.

As regard to my DH being a sweetheart, well yes he is (most of the time), but he's also extremely competitive which I'm not at all. I even get stressed playing something as simple as scrabble with him, my idea being that when he hears of other DH/DP getting their DW/DP PG, it may spur him on a bit IYKWIM

sky luckily I haven't needed to go down the grapefruit juice route, good job really as it causes me to get heartburn, which I would only put down as another 'symptom'.

fulham this is getting exciting now

CurlyCasper · 21/08/2009 14:52

Sky two cartons in the fridge and a good supply of actual grapefruits = damp pants! so sorry if TMI but it's crazy that such things really do work!!!

Fulham As hard as it is, try to keep a nice, blank open mind until tomorrow... happy thoughts x

sky27 · 21/08/2009 15:01

Hooray for damp pants
