I'm so glad I'm not the only one that has told people - even though I am still going to try hard to not talk about it too much to anyone, except you guys of course!

Claire sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well, but I will keep my fingers crossed that this month is lucky for you!

Hope everyone has a nice day, with lots of good BD!

CJ2007 · 19/08/2009 18:00

I haven't spoken to any one about our plans as can't face the questions!! The heavy hints about length of time since our wedding are bad enough!!! Most of our family are respectful and don't push too much. I've kinda suggested that we're not planning children at the moment...
Hoping I can surprise everyone in the not too distant future.
Hoping for BFP's for you all.

Hiya all, just updating everyone's stats.

kkas TTC#1 UCL? CD7
Curlycasper WTT#1 Cycle -1 UCL? CD6
Aly323 TTC#1 Cycle 2 UCL 30 CD2

I haven't told anyone we're TTC cause I don't want to get continually asked about it until I get a BFP, even then actually we've decided to wait until after the first scan although I don't know if I could hold out that long. DH is even worse than me for trying to keep things like that a secret. I'm just glad I can come on here and be neurotic I think that's what's helping me to keep my mouth shut.

Anyway for those like me who are just waiting now, good luck. And happy BD for everyone!

claireinthecommunity · 19/08/2009 22:00

Evening all

Thanks for the welcome back sevans and kkas

We've told a few close friends that we are TTC now, at first we kept it a secret between ourselves, but it has just come up in conversation with some. We haven't told any family yet, but neither of us have any close family, the people we have told are people we see regularly and some on a day to day basis.

I'm just at the beginning of my 2WW wait now with not much to report as yet.

Ozziegirly · 20/08/2009 00:32

I"ve told one close friend that we are TTC and that's it. I've been married for 5 years though so I'm sure people are wondering.

They tended to ask after a year or so and I think they've given up now - or are too polite to ask.

Kaystar · 20/08/2009 07:03

I hope that means that people will stop asking me, Ozziegirly We got married in May and everybody asks all the time!

We haven't told anyone but if I get a BFP this cycle then we'll have to tell all sets of parents as my mum and step dad are visiting in September and usually that would mean a good deal of red wine being drunk!

Symptom spotting every day, but should be able to take an early test in six or seven days. Unfortunately, you cannot buy the First Response early tests here in Sweden, but I hope I can find something equivalent...

Good luck everyone!

CurlyCasper · 20/08/2009 08:22

My posts keep disappearing!

I wrote on Tuesday night and now it has gone

Claire sorry things haven't been great. but very happy to have you back! Good luck with the 2WW.

A bit like Claire, we've told a few close friends, but nobody who will constantly pester us about a BFP. Well, except my BIL's girlfriend who managed to butt in, overhear and then kept asking me about it all weekend!
It was quite funny actually, cause when DH and I agreed not to tell anyone, we each told someone - and those two people are a couple, who'd have talked about it anyway.

My mum is furnished with all the details - we have that kind of relationship. Last weekend he dropped it casually to his mum - along the lines of "we might give it a whirl" ()

But I really don't want majority of friends, and definitely not work colleagues, having a clue until after 12-week scan, whenever that may be.

fulhamgirl · 20/08/2009 09:16

Heya guys.

I havent told many people at all just close friends.
Well that was until my DH came back very drunk on saturday night and decided he was gonna tell everyone (obviously he cant remember). Was so so angry with him cause I think its harder to concieve when alot of people know as your worrying.

Curlycasper-when are you thinking of testing?

Kaystar- I wish you all the luck in the world hun. Keep us posted!!

Claire-im glad your feeling better hun its horrible feeling ill.

CJ2007 · 20/08/2009 09:27

Well the 2WW is slowly driving me mad!!! I'm looking for signs as usual and not sure if I'm imagining things but not feeling too great over past few days... Not sure whether I'll do an early test, think I'll try and wait to see if AF makes an appearance. I don't cope well with BFN...
Will keep on thinking positive thoughts for you all.
Take care and be well.

CurlyCasper · 20/08/2009 09:40

fulham I take it you mean OPK testing? I'm thinking from around day 11 or 12, but not really sure as my cycle hasn't straightend out yet. Don't want to use loads of OPKs and spend a fortune on it. Might try this month and then abandon that for a while.

When we start TTC I think I'm just going to go for the good old BD'ing whenever we can from about day 10 to 20 (and beyond if I'm not crippled by then! ) But it would be good to know whether or not I am actually ovulating.

Thanks for updating the list sevans and happy thoughts to all on the 2WW.

kkas · 20/08/2009 10:54

fulham that sounds promising! keep us posted!!!

sky27 · 20/08/2009 13:49

CurlyCasper I get my OPKs from amazon and got 50 for about seven pounds which means I can happily test 2/3 times a day from day 10.

Good luck everyone

fulhamgirl · 20/08/2009 14:12

Hi guys.

Yer sorry curly thats what I meant lol!! Im not to sure on what these shortern meaning's are sometimes sorry.

I wont waste my money on them again no way they were so expensive.

kkas- Thanks hun I hope so im not feeling to great at the moment at all!! Feel like im about to come on but also at the same time a funny sick feeling. Im trying not to look into to much as ive not been feeling to great anyway since Sunday!!

Good luck guys and again keep posting its the exciting bit now!!

Sorry guys what does 2WW mean?

xxxxxxxxxx

sevans · 20/08/2009 15:12

fulhamgirl - 2WW means two week wait. And since we are asking...what does BD stand for? I know what it actually means, I just can't figure out BD stands for!

kkas · 20/08/2009 15:13

Fulham sorry to hear you're not feeling well - but I will still keep my fingers crossed in case it is a good type of sickness!

2WW is the two week wait, which is the luteal phase of your cycle (i.e. between ovulation and when AF usually comes) for most people it's about a 2 week wait (although, personally I have no idea how long mine will be since I've been on the pill for so long).

Speaking of which? Any signs AF is on her way? Or are you going to test again?

kkas · 20/08/2009 15:14

Sevans haha! Snap!

I think BD stands for baby dance.... which is a bit bizarre if you ask me. Haven't shared that one with the DH yet. Can only imagine what his response would be!

ImmaterialGirl · 20/08/2009 15:23

Hi girls,

Hope you're all well, claire good to have you back!

Thanks for updating the list, can't believe how close to testing some of us are getting! I'm having a vague feeling that AF is about to visit, not sure if I can put my finger on it, just feels like I'm going to come on. So trying not to get my hopes up too much...

I almost used the term baby dance to my DP the other day Managed to catch myself at the last moment, thing he might have been a bit

claireinthecommunity · 20/08/2009 15:30

Hi all,

Yeah, I found the acronyms tricky to understand at first, just about got the hang of them now. But if you venture further than the TTC threads there's a hole other world of them to get the hang of

fulham sorry to hear you're not feeling too well, hope you're much better soon and as kkas said lets hope it's that type of sickness

kkas · 20/08/2009 17:39

Immaterial I know it is so exciting! I really hope that we get some BFPs over the next few days. It would really spur me on over the weekend.

Are you planning on testing anytime soon?

ImmaterialGirl · 20/08/2009 17:57

I really don't know when to test! I'm CD26 today so statistically could do it any time I guess, but I'm weirdly enjoying the 'I could be' feeling and am almost too nervous I'll get a BFN to want to test. If that makes any sense?

Being honest with myself, I don't really have any strong symptoms, but then again, lots of women have none for the first month. It's also frustrating that I'm not really sure how long my cycle is. I know it's quite regular, but I never counted days before.

I think I'm going to stick with my original plan to test on CD30 if no AF by then. Which means Tuesday.

What about you?

ImmaterialGirl · 20/08/2009 17:58

Argh, wait, no that would be Monday. Hmmm. Maybe Monday then....

sky27 · 20/08/2009 20:00

I'm with you IM testing tuesday as long as af doesn't get me but could be a week on sunday before I could get a positive ?!?! Grrr 2ww

Anyone else testing soon?

Trying4Baby1 · 20/08/2009 20:08

Hiya, I'm sooooo tempted to test tomorrow as that would be CD28. What do you think? I was going to wait till Sunday but not sure I can wait till then now. Getting really impatient to test now and I realise that I may still get a BFN tomorrow but still tempted all the same. What does everyone else think is it possible to get a BFP when testing at CD28? Keep looking up symptoms on the net and I have a few but the problem is mainy of the symtoms could also mean the arrival of AF!!
