Summer OMG William is suuuuuch a sweetie, you must be so happy!! Do you feel ok in yourself? Is c-section scar painful? And well done on going for lunch. I think June is a good month to have a baby as you have the whole summer to get out. I am a bit worried that having on in Nov, I might just hibernate and not leave the house 'til April!!

Welcome to ozziegirl! Pistachio where are you in your cycle, are you symptom spotting yet?

I am feeling strong movements now, I love it! I think I have been for a couple of weeks, but they are lower down than I expected so think I thought they were something else. Summer do you remember them starting fairly low down? Also, we want to start TTC number 2 (I know - not even halfway through this pregnancy!! ) within a year as well - DH and I have discussed it and if we could have quite a small age gap between them, it would make sense for me to have a year or two off work to be at home, which would be ideal. I didn't know you had to wait a year to TTC after a c-section though - quite shocked by that.

Hope everyone having a lovely Saturday. How are you feeling, Maf?

PistachioLemon · 20/06/2009 17:22

Hey there Eth, so what's it like feeling the baby moving? A friend of mine said it was like being tickled inside to begin with!

I think having kids close together is lovely, DH is one of three boys who are each 18 months apart in age and he says it was like growing up with his friends. A friend has two who are not even 12 months apart and she said it was hard to begin with especially as they were both babies but at least that stage was over quite quickly and now she says she loves having them so close in age.

Well, I think I may be, or have already ovulated at only CD15 (a record for me, it's usually at least CD17). I decided to have another go with the OPK sticks and got a positive on CD13 along with (sorry TMI coming)lots of EWCM for the past few days so we've been very busy! Fingers crossed. We're going to keep on going until I get a really clear temperature shift just in case I read the test wrong or something. Oooh fingers crossed number seven is a lucky month.

So how is everyone else? MAF you okay?

eth37 · 20/06/2009 18:22

Yay that sounds like great timing this month, pistachio - so it's the 2WW for you. The month we conceived I had ovulated earlier than usual - in fact similar to you - usually ovulated CD18, but BFP month was CD15 according to Fertility Friend. Although scan dates (all 3) say I must have ovulated on CD 13 so not sure which is correct! Fingers crossed for you. Is so stressful and emotional. Although I do miss BD-ing!!! That has rarely happened since BD-ing TTC fest!!!

I think the baby moving feels like really big bubbles at the bottom of my stomach, but bubbles that don't go anywhere (like wind would = sorry TMI!) And they are getting stronger and feeling it more often so I am assuming it is the baby and that I haven't developed a bowel problem!!

Ozziegirly · 21/06/2009 00:02

Thanks for the welcome, and congratulations on William summerbird.

I'm on the 2ww now as well, even though I have no idea if I ovulated or not - no symptoms at all. But timing wise we DTD pretty regularly throughout the first two weeks, so fingers crossed.

I'm not going to get my hopes up though as it's still only my second cycle since coming off the pill.

Good luck PL as well!

crunchynutter · 21/06/2009 11:22

Hi all! I'm really pleased for dawn and summer- summer your little boy is absolutely gorgeous!

My sickness has worn off loads but I have had a couple of sleepless nights with heartburn and I have a trapped nerve in the bottom of my back and can hardly walk! On the plus side I am still feeling the little one moving about and we have decided to call 'it' bubbles now LOL. I'm back to see the midwife tomorrow so hopefully that will al go well and I'll be able to hear the heartbeat fx

summerbird · 21/06/2009 14:03

Hey guys

eth the scar is uncomfortable but no different to having any kind of scar in that area, you just need to be careful walking and standing up etc. sometimes i sit down too quickly which makes my eyes water!!

As for baby movements i can remember feeling lots of 'tickles' for a while, and yes i do remember the bubbles!! just like when you have had a particularly effective curry!! i cant now remember where i first started feeling him move, i think it was round the belly button area but it all depends on where he/she is lying. you will definitely know when your LO is going for it!!

As for TTCing again, they say you should wait 6-12 months after a csection, we are going to see how i am feeling and maybe chat to my GP about it if we want to do it earlier.

ooo PL good news on the OPKs, we now eagerly await the end of your dreaded 2WW, gosh this is all so exciting again!!

waves to crunchy ozzy MAF and everyone else. Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Hi everyone

Summer glad scar is not too painful. Have you managed to go anywhere yet? Is DH on paternity leave?

PL are you symptom spotting?? Fingers crossed.

Crunchy I also have midwife app - at 2pm today. I feel really nervous that she won't be able to find the heartbeat on that stupid monitor thing!!

claireinthecommunity · 22/06/2009 14:39

Hello everyone, Can I join your thread please? I've been posting on the waiting to start TTC thread since February, have been broody for a couple of years and this is our first month of TTC. I've been lurking (but not posting) on a few TTC threads and feel this is the one for me, you seem friendly and supportive here .

This is my first cycle after coming of the pill (Microgynon), which I'd been taking for 6 years. I can't really remember what length my periods were before the pill, but they were regular. Whilst I was taking the pill my bleeds were at exactly the same time every month, I'm hoping they will fall back into place quickly, I know it can take some time with others.

My withdrawal bleed after my last pack of pills started on 4th June and I've been keeping a diary of cm to help with finding my own cycle pattern. From this I think I ovulated on either day 15 or 16. CD28 for me would be 1st July but as I'm not sure how long my true periods are yet, if I haven't started AF by the 6th July I will test, that would make it CD33.

Oh and congratulations summerbird on your new arrival .

JasHook · 22/06/2009 14:57

Waves and Big Welcomes to the newbies Claire Ozzie and Jas. Please stick around, its a lovely (and very lucky) thread

PL Your timing sounds great this month. If in doubt with the POK's you thought about the digital smile face pee sticks or the Clear blue fertility monitor, which is a bit of na expensive to start with but then about #10 a month and it saved us so much stress when we were doing home insems. Saying that, fingers crossed you wont need them. I have a really positive feeling for you Lots of sticky BFP vibes

Summer William is just perfect and it was a pleasure to post your news. Well done you for getting out and about. Now i know you said you managed to put your mascara on but did you manage a sparkly hair clip

Bubba i can not wait to when i can shop What buggy are you liking? My brother bless him bought us some stuff when he was in New york last weekend and was really upset when his GF told him it was too early. He called me to check as he thought she was winding him up!!

Crunchy and Eth thats lovely that you can feel your LO's moving about. It must make it feel so much more real. Good luck for your MW appointments. Is it odd that i actually want morning sickness? Think it might help convince me everythings ok

Well, we are still in shock and i cant believe how constantly shattered i am and that my brain has turned to mush!! We have our first scan on thursday and will be 6+5 so really hope that we can see a little heartbeat. A quick question for ladies with bumps and babes, how early did you start to show. I've already gained about 4lbs and my appetite is huge

eth37 · 22/06/2009 18:22

Yes, welcome ladies!!

MAF I could tell early on, maybe about 8 or 9 weeks, but I didn't look properly pregnant until about 15 weeks. The first person to stand up for me on the Tube was at 15+something and I think I showed pretty early. My appetite is huge too Will have my fingers crossed for you on Thursday. My first scan was at 6+5 too.

MW appointment was fine although she didn't listen to the heartbeat because I felt it move when she was there, so she said that was good enough for her. She didn't do much really, other than test my wee and BP. My cat was v badly behaved though, and refused to leave her alone. Last time he went and sat in her handbag.

Have updated list with my EDD on...

Hello all,

Sorry I've been away so long ladies!! I usually only get chance to post once every few days but DH is looking after Ellie and so I finally get chance to come on and post!!

It's my birthday today so DH is also cooking me a lovely steak dinner - good job he's good at multi-tasking!!

He surprised me with a gorgeous diamond and platinum eternity ring as a joint present for giving him Ellie and for my birthday. It's beautiful and has diamonds all around the band of the ring. He's completely spoilt me!!

There is a pic of Elesha on my profile now, for those that haven't already seen it.

We had our first visit from the HV today and Ellie has put on 9ozs in one week. So she's doing really well!!

Welcome to all the newbies - this is a great thread and you will get loads of support on here!!

I will try and post individually, probably tomorrow when DH is at work and Elesha is having a snooze. Until then, hope everyone is OK!!

xxx

Sorry about that

claireinthecommunity · 23/06/2009 07:48

Good morning all, this is early for me, I can't sleep though so thought I would check out the thread!

So looks like me, PL and Ozzie are all in the 2WW. I've been experiencing some symptoms but I'm not sure if they're because I've conceived, or because I've just come off the pill and I'm experiencing a rush of hormones I'm trying not to think about it but it's so hard, one moment I've convinced myself I'm PG, the next I tell myself not to be so silly .

I like that those of you on the thread that have become PG, and those that have had their little ones are continuing to post on the thread. It's lovely to hear what others are experiencing at different stages.

Dawn, your eternity ring does sound beautiful, what a lovely thing for your DH to do. Happy Birthday for yesterday .

I'm still about the double post, our broadband connection here can be a little iffy sometimes.

Ozziegirly · 23/06/2009 08:32

I keep convincing myself that I am feeling more tired or weeing more than normal, but I don't think it's true in reality. If I wasn't TTC I don't think I would notice anything different really!

And I guess it's still a bit early for me as if I ovulated it would probably only have been Friday or so.

Claire, I've always giggled at your name, I'm pleased we're TTc buddies.

Can I ask - did you feel any ovulation symptoms at all?

JasHook · 23/06/2009 09:08

Also in 2WW. will add updated list. Looking forward to sharing this time with you lovely ladies.

I often seem to get ovulation cramps, Ozzie.

Ozziegirly · 23/06/2009 10:16

I had a slight crampy pain on Sunday -like very very very mild period pains.

I wonder if that was it.

We DTD on Saturday morning so hopefully that would have coincided.

Ah who knows! It's early days anyway and I was on the pill for so long I can't really believe it would all be out of my system in 2 months.

Here's hoping though - good luck to the rest of you!

claireinthecommunity · 23/06/2009 11:34

Hi, Ozzie and Jas, yeah I've also been getting the AF type aches, mine have been there for 5 or 6 days and sometimes they feel rather painful, with a short shooting pain. I've also had (sorry if TMI) very sensitive nipples, this is something I never get. Other symptoms have been feeling slightly nauseous, hot, tired and an odd taste in my mouth along with extra saliva. Now I know on paper there are a lot of PG signals there, but I've only just come off the pill and this is my first true period for 6 years. As I said in an earlier post, I think all these apparent symptoms could just be my body getting back to normal after the 6 years and I'm experiencing a huge rush of hormones.

On the other hand I could have hit the jackpot in the first month of trying and be PG I suppose I don't want to get too carried away with the idea for the next couple of weeks, only to have a BFN slap me in the face.

Ozzie, glad my UN made you giggle, It's a bit of a joke between me and my DH

Ozziegirly · 23/06/2009 11:39

You have loads of symptoms! I had none when I came off the pill in May so I reckon it's more likely that you hit the jackpot.

I have read that people are more fertile when they first come off anyway, although I have no idea of the truth in that.

Oh well, we're away the weekend that AF would be due on the Sunday and I am superstitiously not buying any tests in advance it'll be 2 weeks today that I test if AF doesn't turn up!

DawnAS · 23/06/2009 12:16

Claire, Jas and Ozzie, it's lovely to have some newbies on here chatting away - this thread can be quiet sometimes so the more the merrier!!

Just wanted to let you ladies know that I was on the pill for 16 years, came off in April last year, started TTC in June and became PG straight away - so it definitely happens. I was really surprised considering I'd just turned 34 so thought it would take ages.

Unfortunately I did have an early MC with that baby at 5 weeks, but 6 weeks later was PG again (only BDd three times that month around OV time aswell! ) and the result of that PG was Elesha.

So believe me, against all the odds, you can get PG very quickly.

Good luck to all three of you in your quest for sleepless nights and lovely stitches "down there" - I wouldn't change it for the world!!!

xxx

claireinthecommunity · 23/06/2009 12:19

Well we'll see Ozzie, I really don't know what to think. I've also heard that some women can be more fertile when they first come off the pill but I don't know if it's true either

As this is my first period after coming off the pill I'm not sure how long my cycle will be. I'm currently on CD20 if I haven't had a visit from AF by the 6th July, I'm going to test then (which would make it CD33) Perhaps I should wait one more day and do the test at the same time as you!, that is if I manage to wait that long anyway
