LOL eth that is exactly what we have done, i cant be assed with justifying every trip out to my neighbours.

sweep wasnt comfortable but wasnt painful either, just think of a smear test without the speculum, just a midwifes finger right up there. DH went all white!! He is fine with labour as he has seen it on TV and knows that things can come out - but things going in??!!

My sis asked if the Midwife's forearm disappeared - cheeky bint!!

PistachioLemon · 12/06/2009 15:54

Oops cross posts with Eth!

Were your neighbours disappointed when you re-appeared without a baby?

summerbird · 12/06/2009 15:55

PL he aint going there, no chance!!

OP posts:
PistachioLemon · 12/06/2009 15:55

summerbird · 12/06/2009 15:56

PistachioLemon · 12/06/2009 15:57

Enjoy the garden.

I'm off to do some, erm, cleaning. God, I must be bored.

makingafamily · 12/06/2009 20:39

Summer thats brilliant, glad things are moving forward and glad to hear Dawn is having a more settled time

PL hows the garden doing?

Quick update! I'm so relieved its friday as this week ive been exhausted and i seem to have developed some problems with walking!! As keep bumping into stationary objects, chairs, desks, fire extinguishers etc oh, and my memory seems to have turned to mush!!! and we have our first scan in less than two weeks

Hope everyone is having a lovely relaxing weekend xx

summerbird · 12/06/2009 21:32

MAF has got the baby brain - ner ner ner ner ner nerrrrrr

Sorry that was really evil but i was exactly the same and got really offended when people laughed at me - but what can you do??!!

Enjoy every minute of it MAF and gloss over the rubbish bits, you WILL get knackered so just go to bed (i was crashing at 8pm every night ) the best advice i was given was 'listen to your body and do what it tells you - in fact give in to it'

so i applied that to chocolate as well as sleep!!

OP posts:
makingafamily · 12/06/2009 21:48

hahahahaha cheeky. Actually i was just saying to Mrs MAF that its weird but im enjoying it in an odd way. Would love to be able to take a few weeks off so i could just chill but not possible until the end of term. So any more signs of the summerbean yet?

summerbird · 13/06/2009 10:08

no but i was up at 2.20am eating weetabix and drinking raspberry leaf tea until 3.20am - not because of contractions or anything just because i couldnt sleep i think the summerbean is preparing me for things to come!!

so how is everyone today then? please give me some news to distract me from my boredom!

makingafamily · 13/06/2009 12:16

News....erm....We're on our way to Borough Market? Anyone been? Any thing we need to keep an eye for?

summerbird · 13/06/2009 12:29

I never went to Borough Mkt when i lived daarn saarf but i wish i had done as apparantly it is fabulous. someone told me about their huge mushrooms being worth a look (wonder if they were 'magic' )

seriously MAF that was good enough news for me, i am just sitting here waiting to pee myself IYSWIM !!!!!

OP posts:
eth37 · 13/06/2009 14:13

No interesting news here, other than I have just had a nap, am watching the tennis and eating Percy Pigs.... Not too much excitement really!

PistachioLemon · 13/06/2009 14:14

No news from here I'm afraid, we've just been in the garden today, planting out lots of stuff that should have been planted out already. Hope the little things are okay.

And tomorrow my baby sister was supposed to be visiting but isn't now, so instead we are going to our village annual open gardens event. It's a wonderful opportunity to have a nosy around the lovely houses that we can't afford to buy (and their gardens of course)!

Borough market is fab, MAF you've probably been and come back by now so what did you get? A friend of ours gets his fish from there and makes amazing sushi from it. Mmmmm. Sadly I now have to make do with our weekly veggie box.

BubbaP · 13/06/2009 14:30

Hi girls

All fine here. We've been supermarket shopping, out for lunch and to visit my great aunt today. Now my DH is watching the Lions rugby and I'm surfing MN
Oh and I've been a pig - had a cream cake at my aunt's and just been gobbling midget gems!

I was sad when I read about Dawn's traumatic experience, but glad to hear she's doing a bit better by now. Big hugs to you Dawn and of course to baby Elesha.

Loved your stories about the neighbours Summerbird! Maybe you'll have to bring summerbean back from hospital in some sort of camouflage outfit?!?! Good luck if today turns out to be THE day!

Big hi to everyone else! xxxxx

summerbird · 13/06/2009 20:38

Gaaaaaaaaaaaahhh am still here!!

bubba i am off to the Army and Navy store tomorrow for some suitable camouflage - good call!!

OP posts:
makingafamily · 13/06/2009 21:19

Oh Summer i don't know what to say. Obviously you've been such a fantastic home for the last 9 months baba doesnt want to leave

Borough Market was lovely We got veggie's, chutneys, bread, muffins and some amazing onions pickled in balsamic vinegar It was worth going to but think we'll probably stick to Broadway Market which is just round the corner. (oh, and we got some fab fruit beers but am going to wait til we are past the 12 week mark before i have one or might just save them for Brighton Pride )

Hows everyone doing?

summerbird · 13/06/2009 22:25

aaaahhh Brighton Pride, such a good weekend we had there in 2004. We all trooped down there from Sutton, there were four of us and none of us gay but we had the best time! It was funny as me and DH were 'just good friends' at the time (twas about a month before we snogged )

Anyway he was the only boy with three girls, we all said that if he got 'scared' by anyone he could pretend he was dating one of us (freaky foresight on my part maybe!!). Turns out he didnt get any attention and was mightily miffed about it!! We were blatantly not gay tho as one of the bouncers actually said to us 'do you guys realise this is Pride weekend - we were like 'yeah bring it on' Think he let us in the club out of sympathy!! That was the same weekend we did a runner from a chinese restaurant as their service was too slow - aahh those crazy wild single days

Cheers MAF you just made me think about something not baby related!!! I feel quite emotional now

ooooo and MAF when i text you about my baby news I know you are going to let these guys know but could you also jump on the Bonkers Anonymous Conception thread and let them know too? I jumped on last week to tell them about Dawns babba and they have kidnapped me and are now dying to hear too!!

Right am off to bed - can you all send waterfall vibes please??

OP posts:
PistachioLemon · 14/06/2009 09:58

Morning all, Dawn did the waterfall vibes work? I had a dream that you were in labour and that you were on Sesame Street!

PistachioLemon · 14/06/2009 09:59

Crap, I obviously mean Summer! What is wrong with me this morning?

Dawn you must be on my mind too. Hope you're okay.

Must learn to preview.

summerbird · 14/06/2009 11:58

Hehe!! PL The waterfall hasnt occurred yet! And i would love to be on Sesame Street right now!!

So am still here but this time tomorrow i shall hopefully be in labour

welcome AngleAshleigh i echo what PL has said as we definitely need more TTCers on this thread. Hang on a min - what does UCL stand for?? I have just noticed it!

To think the next time i log on i will be adding my name to the First time frolicers babies!!

OK so this is my last post (probably) before i go to hospital tomorrow (need to be there for 8am). DH and I have had the most bizarre surreal weekend, almost like we are waiting for a phonecall or a visitor, we havent known what to do with ourselves as we cant go too far or do anything too involved in case of my waters breaking!

Anyway, MAF is going to let you know when i text her so wish me luck guys! I feel quite emotional

See ya's!

OP posts:
makingafamily · 14/06/2009 20:36

Welcome Angle as PL said its lovely to have a new TTC'er. Hope you stick around its a great thread

Summer hoping that things have kicked in but if not i've got everything crossed for tomorrows fanjo sweep and i will post your wonderful news on the Bonkers thread too

Hope everones enjoying the weather

We had a lovely day with the boys at Canary Wharf and had far too much food at Wagamama's followed by Crispy Creme's! Oops... Happy to say that the boys are both really positive about the pregnancy although sometimes i still feel a bit sad that they aren't going to be our baby's daddy's, But know that we made the right choice for us going with our anonymous euro swimmers
