Yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy MAF fantastic news! So thrilled for you and DP.

Summerbird can't believe you and Dawn texting with MN updates when she's in full labour!

Hopefully Mr Dawn will be on here later with news for us then!

We've just been to a birthday party for 3-year old twin boys and everyone wanted to see our scan pics and talk to me about prams, moses baskets etc! It was great!

makingafamily · 07/06/2009 17:54

Oh Bubba thats so lovely How's your bump? Are you showing yet? Is it weird that i can't wait to be showing? Although i want morning sickness too as at the moment i dont really feel pregnant and am constantly worrying. I've done PG tests this week!

makingafamily · 07/06/2009 17:58

Oops should read i've done 8 PG tests this week Doh!

BubbaP · 07/06/2009 19:05

Hi MAF!

I've been in maternity clothes for about 4 weeks now, since about 17 weeks preg, but I think my 'bump' only properly started showing about a week or so ago. I feel very pregnant all of a sudden, which is great. I was looking forward to having a bump too.
Can't believe you've done 8 tests already! Are you off down the GP this week to get the wheels in motion?

Just wanted to say also thank you so much for being so kind to me yesterday and this morning (and to Summer for your lovely words this morning which made me cry a little bit because it was so sweet). It really does mean an awful lot as there isn't anyone in RL who really knows that we're trying, so thank you for keeping me sane.

Am feeling much more positive today (thank God!). Ever onwards!

Hello ladies,
I am not sure if you will remember me, but I was on this thread loads last summer/autumn time, right at the beginning I think, and wanted to come back and say hi!
I disappeared for a while as was really finding the whole TTC thing incredibly stressful and emotional, and found that each time AF arrived, I was literally distraught, having time off work and just generally not coping .
However, I have been lurking a little while now, and wanted to come on and say CONGRATULATIONS to the new mummies and to all the BFPs and imminent births, summerbird! MAF I was so excited to read of your BFP!
I am now 16weeks2days pregnant and due in November. Finding it all nerve-wracking, despite positive scans... Felt some movements last week, but nothing for a couple of days so began panicking a bit.
Anyway, really wanted to say hi again, and apologise for running away for a bit! Hope I am allowed back!! x

BubbaP · 08/06/2009 20:42

Wow - such great news about Elesha! A MASSIVE congratulations to Dawn and MrDawn, we can't wait to hear all about Elesha. [Elesha shares a birthday with my lovely mum!]

Big thank you to Summerbird for delivering the news to us! I'm sure Dawn's DH won't mind!

Big welcome back to eth37 and congratulations on your pregnancy! You're only about a month behind me, I'm just over 21 weeks now. We'll have to add you to our list!

Big hellos to everyone else.

Thinking of you in particular Summerbird and hoping that bean of yours makes an appearance soon.
xx

summerbird · 08/06/2009 22:14

eth of course i remember you, in fact i was just recently wondering where you had got to, great to see you back and a huge congratulations on your pregnancy! i didnt feel any movement until about 22 weeks so dont worry too much.

well i am off to bed now, each night i go to sleep i hope that i will be woken in the night with pains and waters breaking (god sounds so awful!!!) so keep all your fingers crossed for me girls!!

thank you all for your good wishes though, i am hanging in there and will keep you as informed as i can.

OP posts:
summerbird · 09/06/2009 09:46

well no pains or gushing water in the night - grrrr!! so am 40+6 today. Off to the midwife this afternoon for a 'membrane sweep' all i will say is Midwife/Fingers/Fanjo and you get the picture

wish me luck!!

OP posts:
fairywing · 09/06/2009 10:24

Huge congrats Dawn and welcome baby Elesha!!

Summerbird Good luck with the sweep..eek!!

Eth welcome back!

makingafamily · 09/06/2009 10:38

Summer Good luck for the Fanjo Sweep! Sounds like a bit of a dance routine.....or not The sweep might get things moving. I also meant to say a friend of mine swore by nipple stimulation to get things going???

Vix i kept a log throughout the iui of what drugs i took on what day and follie size and womb lining etc so will post it when i get in. It took quite a while to get things going. I'm still in shock that it worked but also am proof that it can. Any questions please ask away. My friend thats doing IVF is due to test tomorrow and we've got everything crossed for her.

PL i've been thinking about doing that to the list for ages. I know a few of the ladies are still about on the fantastically comical mid 30's thread but havent been on here for a while. Actually we need to recruit some new TTC'ers

Eth I remeber you. Congrats on your PG thats great news and welcome back

And Welcome to the world Elesha Ellen Rose, what a gorgeous name and congrats to Dawn and Mr Dawn

When did people contact their GP's? I havent yet but i did call the Fertility Clinic yesterday and they have booked me in for a "viability scan" (i hate that term) on June 25th which will make us 6+4. Do you think i should contact my GP too or just wait to speak to the nurses on 25th? Did anyone else have a scan this early? Bubba i think i remember you having an early scan? I'm a bit worried they are scanning me too early and they might not be able to see anything. (Yes, for those of you that havent guess i've turned into a panicking paranoid mess!!!)

Hows everyone doing?

xx

BubbaP · 09/06/2009 11:26

Morning girls.

I wonder how Dawn and Elesha are this morning?

Good luck for this afternoon Summerbird. I'm just back from my 1st aqua natal class and I really enjoyed it! Off to work now this afternoon

Hey Fairy how are you doing? What's your news?

Hi MAF not sure about the GP... why don't you get an appointment just after 25th June, and if the nurses on 25th say you don't need to go via the GP then you can cancel your appt? The main reason to go to the GP sooner rather than later is to have your midwife booking-in appt and your 12 week scan date on the NHS. We paid for a private scan at 9 weeks - I wanted to balance the chance of seeing a clear heartbeat with the risk of having an MC at a later date. Hope that helps.

xxx

summerbird · 09/06/2009 13:05

MAF when i went to the GP just after my BFP she just did my NHS hospital referral, you need to have a think about what hospital you want to go to (seriously that early - that is so they can book you in for your scan). Even though you are having a 6 week scan it is a good idea to also get booked in asap for your 12 week scan (then you get to see your bean twice in 6 weeks!).

The only other reason i would go to the GP sooner rather than later is because you get the form to send off for your NHS prescription exemption certificate. That is brilliant as i have a dust allergy and got my nasal sprays and eye drops all free (funnily enough though pregnancy seems to have cured my allergy )

If you are not too worried about timing of either of the above then i would go with what bubba said and book your appt after 25 June, it isnt that far away after all.

OO and bubba i LOVED aqua natal, it is such light exercise but you still feel like you have done something useful. I had a weird 'how did i get here' moment in a class a few weeks ago whilst looking at all of the other beach ball bellies!!

fairywing · 09/06/2009 14:28

Hey, i'm doing good at the moment. I'm at that stage where i don't really feel pregnant anymore and am waiting patiently to look pregnant or feel something! I'm counting down the days till my next midwife appointment so i can be reassured by the heartbeat. We've told most people we know now so thats really exciting! We've also been offered a cot the other day by a friend who is getting rid of theirs. I'm still a bit nervous about actually buying things though!

I can't believe that i could actually be adding my name to the babies list in a few months time!! Eeek!

summerbird · 09/06/2009 16:20

fairy i was exactly the same at your stage, i kept needing constant reassurance that i was pg, and even looked forward to the nausea but hearing that heartbeat at the MW is amazing

well guys i had the 'attempt' at a sweep this afternoon but she couldnt do it as the cervix is still closed, so it looks like i could be induced next week if it doesnt get its act together! so i am still with you guys for a few days yet

OP posts:
eth37 · 09/06/2009 17:42

Thanks for the welcome backs!

Summer oooo that sounds painful.... HAve you discussed induction-y things?

MAF I had a scan at 6+5 as I had convinced myself pregnancy was ectopic 'cos I had a pain in my side. Anyway.... They could see a heartbeat flickering away, and it reassured me a lot. So I would say go for it.

Fairy how many weeks are you? I think we are at a similar stage. I am still being really sick Had to race out of a year 2 maths SAT test today to throw up!! Lovely!! My Mum had sickness throughout so I am worried I may be following in her footsteps!

Anyway, it's good to be back ladies x x x

summerbird · 09/06/2009 18:21

Hi eth well the MW said it is unlikely they will induce me at the hospital appointment on Friday as that is too soon (40+9) but it is worth asking them, otherwise she reckons it will be beginning of next week. Ah well at least by next Wednesday i will have a bambino
